♪ when blaze goes saving the day ♪

[upbeat rock music]

[wind howls]

- okay, crew, the wind is blowing this way.

Let's turn the sail.

- Aye, aye, captain blaze.

Pull the mainsheet rope!

Both: yah!

[Wind howls]

[cheers and laughter]

- hey, it's me, blaze.

And this is my best buddy, a.j.

- Hi!

- We're taking a ride on a sailboat

with our friends gabby and stripes.

Pretty cool, huh?

- This boat is amazing!

- Yeah, blaze.

How do you make it go so fast?

- The sailboat moves fast

because it's powered by the wind.

Both: the wind?

- Yeah!

It's using wind power.

- Wind has the power to push things.

See?

[Wind howls]

when wind blows against the sail,

it pushes our boat forward through the water.

That's wind power.

- Wind power. Rawr!

I like it!

- ♪ It pushes the sails of a sailboat ♪

♪ and takes you anywhere you want to go ♪

♪ a cool breeze on a summer day ♪

♪ lifting up a flying kite ♪

- ♪ it's like oh, oh, oh

♪ powerful energy

♪ oh, oh, oh

- ♪ you know I'm talking about

♪ wind, wind, wind, wind power ♪

[both laugh]

- ♪ wind, wind, wind, wind power ♪

♪ yeah

♪ I'm blown away by

♪ spinning the turbine's blades ♪

♪ or a windmill's vanes

[wind howls]

- [grunting]

- ♪ my sailboat is the best

♪ yeah, yeah

♪ it sails so fast

♪ 'cause I'm the best sailor

♪ in the--

- whoa!

Oops. - [Groans]

- ahoy, crusher!

You need some help?

- Ha! I don't need help.

Besides, my boat is way faster than yours.

- I don't know, crusher.

Our boat is pretty fast.

- Oh, yeah?

Well, then let's have a race!

- Okay. - All right!

- Sure. Sounds like fun.

Come on, let's line up.

- Okay, racers. On your marks.

- [Revving]

- get set.

Sail!

[Wind whooshes]

[a.j. And gabby cheer]

- whoo!

- Come on, pickle.

We need to get our sail back up like those guys.

- Aye, aye, crusher!

- [Wailing]

pickle, I'm not a sail!

Get me down from here!

- Consider it done.

[Mainsheet line whirring]

- [whimpers]

crash!

- Uh-oh, crusher.

I think you're losing.

- [Groans]

well, looks like there's only one thing I can do

to win this race.

Cheat! [Laughs]

I'm gonna make something

to knock blaze's boat right out of my way!

[Electronic whirring]

I'll build...

A wild wave maker!

Splash!

[Warbling tone]

[rhythmic pumping]

- oh, my!

Those are some big waves.

- That ought to stop blaze.

All: whoa!

Whoa!

- Where did all these waves come from?

- [Gasps] it's crusher.

He's making all these waves.

All: whoa!

- It's working, pickle!

But I want these waves to be even bigger,

bigger, bigger!

[Loud whirring]

- uh, crusher?

I think you're making these waves a little too big.

[Both yelling]

[surf rock music]

- hang on, crew!

[All yelling]

[low rumbling]

- phew! - [Blathers]

- whoa!

We must've landed on a tropical island.

- Uh-oh!

And look!

Our sailboat is broken.

- Stripes is right.

Our sailboat is missing some really important pieces.

We're missing the mast.

That's what holds up the sail.

And we're missing the mainsheet.

That's the rope we use to turn the sail.

Worst of all, we're missing the sail!

- Uh-oh!

Without those pieces, we can't use wind power.

- And that means we can't sail home.

- Don't worry, guys.

I'll figure out a way to get us home.

Hey, gabby, if we can find the missing pieces,

can you fix our sailboat?

- You bet I can!

I can fix anything.

- Great!

Then let's go find those sailboat pieces.

- Argh! - Yeah!

[All cheer]

- ♪ come on, let's go

♪ we're ready to roll

- ♪ full speed ahead

♪ ready, get set

- ♪ go!

♪ Time for adventure

♪ faster and faster

♪ pedal to the metal

♪ we can be the hero

- ♪ come on, let's go!

- [Groaning]

ugh.

Yuck!

Come on, pickle, let's get out of here.

- Uh, crusher?

I don't think we can get out of here.

Look, our sailboat is broken.

- [Gasps]

[groaning]

- hey. That's all right.

You and me, we'll just work together and fix it.

- Oh, all right.

But let's hurry.

I want to sail away before blaze

so we can get home first.

- Oh, oh!

I found a piece of our boat!

[Twinkling tones]

- what?

Argh!

Who's doing that?

- Aww.

It's a little crab.

- [Chitters]

- I think he wants that board, crusher.

- Well, it's mine, and he can't have it.

[Laughs mockingly]

you can't have it.

Crunch!

Yow! He's pinching me!

Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!

- [Giggling]

- hmm.

The mast to our sailboat

has to be around here somewhere.

Stripes, can you use your tiger sense

to help us find it?

- You got it, blaze.

[Sniffing]

ooh, I'm picking up a scent.

[Sniffing]

the mast is somewhere over...

There!

- Remember, the mast for our boat

is a long orange pole.

[Wind whooshes]

where's the mast?

Yeah! There it is!

On that cliff way over there.

- Yeesh.

How are we gonna get there

without falling into that goo?

- I can do it.

I'm great at jumping.

I'll just jump from rock to rock.

Watch this!

Tiger claws! Rawr!

Uh-oh! I didn't make it!

[Grunts]

I'm slipping! Ahh!

- Hang on, stripes!

Gotcha!

- You okay, stripes?

- Yeah, it's just--

I know I could make it if I had a little more power.

[Wind howls]

- I know.

Stripes, you can use wind power.

If you wait until the wind is blowing,

it can push you and help you jump farther.

- I like it!

But how will I know if the wind is blowing fast enough?

- This can tell us.

- It's an anemometer.

It measures how fast the wind is blowing.

And the faster the wind blows,

the more power it has to push you.

[Wind whooshes]

- right now it says the wind speed is 2.

But to push stripes over to the rock,

the wind speed needs to be 6.

- Let's tell stripes when the wind is at 6.

Count to 6 with us.

Start at 2.

Both: 2,

3,

4,

5,

6!

- Tell stripes to jump.

Say, "jump, stripes!"

Jump, stripes!

[Wind howls]

- roar!

I made it!

I felt the wind pushing me.

Uh-oh.

But the next rock is really far away.

- To make that jump,

stripes is going to need a stronger wind

to push him even farther.

- To get to the next rock,

stripes needs to jump when the wind speed is 10.

- Count to 10 with us.

Start at 6.

Both: 6, 7,

8, 9,

10!

- Now say, "jump, stripes!"

Both: jump, stripes!

- Roar!

- All right!

- Just one more jump to go.

- Uh, guys, this is the biggest jump yet!

And I do not want to land in that bubbling goo!

- Don't worry, buddy! We'll help you!

Stripes needs an even bigger push from the wind.

To make it to the other side,

he needs to jump when the wind speed is 16.

- Count to 16 with us.

Start at 10.

Both: 10, 11, 12,

13, 14, 15,

16!

- Say, "jump, stripes!"

Both: jump, stripes!

- [Revs engine and growls]

haha! It worked!

I got the mast!

- Yeah! - Way to go, stripes!

[Upbeat rock music]

- [grunts]

whoo-hoo!

- Nice jump!

- Thanks, guys.

Now let's take this mast to gabby

so she can put it back on the sailboat.

- Okay, hold it steady while I put it back into place.

[Drill whirs]

there we go.

Good as new.

- Now we just need two more pieces:

the mainsheet and the sail.

Then our boat will be fixed.

- Come on, let's go find the mainsheet next.

[Hammer pounding]

- come on!

Get in there!

Ha-ha!

[Tires screech]

[groans]

- [gasps] crusher, look!

I found another piece of our boat.

It's up in this palm tree.

- Ooh, goodie!

I'll get it down.

- Ah, crusher?

I don't think it's good to shake the tree like that.

- Here it comes, pickle!

Yow!

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!

- [Sniffing]

blaze, a.j., Hold up.

I smell something.

[Sniffing]

- what is it, stripes?

- I think it's...

Our rope!

- That must be our mainsheet rope.

Help us find it.

[Wind whooshes]

where's the rope?

There it is!

The mainsheet is up in that tree.

- [Chattering]

- oh, no!

That monkey just grabbed it,

and now he's getting away!

- Don't worry, stripes.

Blaze can catch that monkey.

- Yeah!

With my boosters, I can use blazing speed

and go super fast.

To give me blazing speed,

say, "let's blaze!"

Both: let's blaze!

- [Chattering]

[upbeat rock music]



[Chattering]

- look!

The monkey is sliding down that vine.

- Hang on, a.j.!

Whoo-hoo!

Uh-oh.

The vine splits in different directions.

And we don't know which way the monkey went.

- Let's use my visor to help us figure out

which way to go.

Switching to visor view.

My visor says the monkey slid down the vine with two loops.

Which of these vines has two loops?

This one! Yeah!

Come on, blaze. This way!

- Whoa-ho-ho!

Whoo-hoo-hee!

- [Chattering] - look! There's the monkey.

Come on!

Gaskets!

Another split.

Which way did he go this time, a.j.?

- This time the monkey slid down the vine

that has a loop and a zigzag.

Which vine has a loop and a zigzag?

That vine over there.

- Here we go!

Whoo! - Yeah!

- There's the monkey with our mainsheet.

- [Chatters sadly]

- uh-oh. He looks sad.

- Yeah.

He's trying to get something from that hole,

but he can't reach it.

- [Chatters]

- it's his banana!

Don't worry, monkey.

We'll help you get your banana.

Ready, a.j.?

- Ready!

Got it!

Here you go, little fella.

- [Chatters]

- [laughs] aww.

You're welcome.

Now, can we please have our mainsheet back?

We need it for our sailboat.

- [Chatters]

- thanks, monkey.

- [Chatters]

- now let's get this back to gabby.

[Revs engine]

[hammer pounding]

gabby! Stripes!

We've got the mainsheet.

- All right!

- Nice work, you guys.

Now let's reattach it to our boat.

There. The mainsheet is all set.

- That means there's only one piece left to find:

the sail.

That'll give the boat wind power.

[Wind whooshes]

- blaze, look!

There's our sail!

- Lug nuts! It's blowing away!

Come on, we're gonna need everyone's help

to catch that sail.

- [Laughs] look, pickle.

My boat is almost fixed.

All it needs now is the sail.

- Ooh, ooh!

Here's the sail.

Oh, but that cute little crab is using it for a blanket.

- [Snoring]

- let's just wait till he wakes up.

- [Groaning]

oh, I can't wait anymore.

Give me that sail!

Argh!

Rip!

[Gasps] oh, no!

I ripped it!

Our sail is ruined!

[Crying] could this day get any worse?

- [Chitters and laughs]

- what are we gonna do, pickle?

We're never gonna find another sail.

Never, ever, ever, ever!

- Ooh, there's one.

Ah, but that's blaze's sail.

- Not for long. Come on, pickle.

We're gonna take that sail and use it for our boat.

- Gee, i-i don't think that's such a good idea.

Wah!

- Look! There's our sail!

- It blew all the way up to the top of that mountain.

- ♪ I'm gonna get it, I'm gonna get it ♪

[laughs]

- oh, no!

Crusher's trying to take our sail!

- You've got to get up that mountain before he does.

[Wind howls]

- hey, I know.

We can get to the sail super fast

if we use wind power.

- We can use a kite.

Kites use wind power to push them high in the sky.

- Let's build a kite so we can fly up

and get that sail.

First, I need a flying line.

That's the long string

that lets you control where the kite goes.

To make the flying line, say, "flying line."

Flying line!

Great!

Next, we need a reel

to control how high the kite flies.

To make the reel, say, "reel!"

Reel!

Now to give the kite its shape,

we need a frame.

Say, "frame."

Frame!

And last but not least,

we need a cover so the wind has something to push against.

Say, "cover!"

Cover!

Check it out!

I'm a kite-flying monster machine!

[Fireworks pop]

- whoa!

- You make an awesome kite, blaze.

- Thanks, guys.

Now grab on to that reel.

This kite is ready to fly.

Oh, yeah!

- It's working!

The wind is pushing you higher.

- Whoo-hoo!

- Yeah! Nice flying, blaze.

[Wind howling]

- finally, that sail is all mine!

- Oh, hey!

It's blaze the kite!

- Blaze the what?

Crash!

[Coconuts thudding]

[groans]

- we got the sail!

- All right!

- Okay, guys, bring us down!

[Reel whirring]

- roar!

That was amazing!

- Thanks!

Now let's put this sail back on our boat

so we can all go home.

[Wind whooshes]

- ta-da!

Our boat is fixed.

- Nice work, gabby. - Yeah!

Now we can sail back to axle city.

- [Laughs mockingly]

guess what, slowpokes.

I fixed my sailboat first!

- Uh, crusher, your boat doesn't look very fixed.

- And that's not a sail.

It's a pair of pants.

- Ha!

♪ My sailboat is the best boat

♪ it's number one

- ♪ except for the fact that it's sinking ♪

- sinking?

[Both wail]

- quick, we've got to help them.

- Aye, aye, captain blaze.

[Wind whooshes]

- here, grab on to these!

- Hooray!

Blaze saved us!

Oh, blaze, you're my hero.

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!

- You're welcome, pickle.

Now let's set sail for axle city.

- We're going home.

[Wind whooshes]

[all cheer]

- well, at least I can finally relax.

Yep.

From here on out, it's smooth sailing.

- Aha!

- Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!

- [Chitters]
