Miss martin:
okay children,
time for music circle!

Storyteller:
music circle was one
of caillou's

Favourite activities...

And clementine was one of
caillou's favourite friends.

Clementine,
I saved a seat for you!

Thanks, caillou.

We've got a special

Clementine!
Look at my drum!

Good idea!

A drum?
But I made a drum!

Look,
my drum has drumsticks!

Miss martin:
what a great drum, caillou.

And what did you discover,
clementine?

I made a drum too,
but look what I can do!

Miss martin:
terrific!

Clementine, you can tap out
a b*at for us,

And we'll add the other
instruments one at a time.

caillou wanted to tell miss

the drum was his idea.

Clementine:
caillou gave me the idea.

And knows how to build
great roads,

"caillou's poster"

Caillou:
now what do we need, mommy?

We need some peaches,
caillou.

Storyteller:
caillou liked helping mommy
at the grocery store.

Peaches! Check!

Next up - apples.

Ted:
did somebody say apples?

Check it out!

I just got in a fantastic
bunch of apples today -

Fresh from a local farmer!

Mmmm, I love apples!

Me too,

And do you know why fresh
apples are so good?

Because they taste yummy
in an apple pie?!

(Chuckles)
I was going to say

Because you can make
apple sauce with them,

But I like your answer too!

So what else
is on your list?

Wow, those are some

Did mommy draw those?

(Giggle)
noooo. I did them!

Storyteller:
caillou showed ted some
of his drawings -

Of cars, and rockets,

And even one of gilbert!

Would you be interested
in drawing a poster

to celebrate fall.

and leaves and such.

apple trees for me?

Caillou:
now those are great

But my veggies look like...

Squashed pumpkins!
Oh. Sorry.

Clementine:
I'm good at drawing!

I can draw some carrots
for you. And a bunny!

Okay!

Caillou :
thanks, clementine.

I like the rabbit!

caillou noticed jason
was really good at coloring

Jason, do you want to help me
colour in my poster?

Yeah, okay!

Jeffrey:

I'm really good

look like?

He's kinda tall...

He likes to smile a lot...

And... Oh yeah,
he wears a blue shirt!

Caillou:
it looks exactly like him!

caillou was feeling

Do I get my apples now?!

them to you soon enough.

Leo's mother:
caillou, I really

ted says caillou is going

In the newspaper.

Leo's mother:
(gasp) you must be so excited.

Isn't that wonderful,
leo?

Yeah.
I guess so.

Just look at those trees

And that cute little bunny!
Wonderful!

Storyteller:
caillou liked having people say
nice things about the poster,

But some of those nice things
were said

Because of his friends' work.

Ted:
here you go, caillou -

A big bag of apples
for your terrific poster!

You've earned it!

(Grunts)
thank you, ted.

Ted:
your mom will bring
you back tomorrow,

So I can take a photo
of you and your masterpiece

For the newspaper.
Okay?

Uh, okay!

How come you didn't
say something?

I helped you with
the poster...

and jason, and jeff-

Caillou:
I know, but it was supposed
to be my poster.

Leo's motehr:
come on, leo!

Mommy:
is something the matter,
caillou?

Caillou:
yeah, it's the poster...

I um... I didn't do it
all by myself.

Oh, I see.
Did leo help you?

Uh huh.

But I drew the sun!

Only, leo drew the trees,

And clementine
drew the bunny.

Some other kids
helped too.

It sounds like you all
worked on it as a group.

Yeah. I should tell ted
I had some help

And then he can let
everybody know

We made it together.

And I know how!

Okay, now let's see
a big smile!

Say "applesauce!"

All:
applesauce!

Thanks for inviting us
to be in the picture, caillou.

We all worked
on the poster

So we should all be
in the picture!

I can't believe we're going
to be in the newspaper. Cool!

Kids:
yippee! Yay!

Mmmm...
These are deee-licious!

Now let's just get
one more photo!

Storyteller:

For his pet goldfish, herman.

Herman the goldfish's birthday

Miss martin's
birthday is on monday.

Clementine and leo and I
want to have a surprise

Birthday party for her.

Oh, that sounds like fun.

Can we make cupcakes?

And we need a present, too.

A surprise present.

What present should
we give miss martin?

An eraser that
never gets smaller.

Or a pink pen,
with feathers on it.

I know, we can make
her a birthday card.

My mommy likes to get
flowers on her birthday.

I can show you how to make
paper flowers if you like.

Let's go make the card first.

I drew a butterfly.

I'm drawing happy faces on the
balloons because they're happy

It's miss martin's birthday.

And I'm drawing a big cake
with lots of candles on it.

Are you ready to make
some paper flowers?

Yeah!

First, we draw some simple
flowers next to each other

On our sheet.

Pretty flower!

That's wonderful, rosie.

Ok, now we cut them out.

Now we take each flower and
poke a small hole in it using

Our pipe cleaner, and slide
the flower down a little bit.

Then curl the top of your
pipe cleaner down to make

The middle of your flower.

Look at my flower!

They all look beautiful.

Now we make some more until
we have a nice big bunch.

Yeah!

Now, don't forget, clementine,
you bring the card,

And leo, you bring the flowers.
I'll bring the cupcakes.

Remember, it's a
surprise, ok you guys?

Miss martin, can
you close your eyes?

Ok.

One, two, three!

Surprise!

Happy birthday!

Oh my.

Such a wonderful card.

And these
beautiful flowers, too.

Thank you.

Cupcakes too?

Lovely!

We made the
cupcakes ourselves.

Mommy helped too.

Mmmm.

Caillou:

Then, sarah thought of one more

Sarah:
it's a telephone!

I made it with my mom,

Does it really work?

the string tight.
