woman: ♪ Use super tools
to save the day? ♪

- ♪ Like AJ Gadgets,
I'm on my way! ♪

♪ How do they save the day? ♪

all: ♪ Well,
the scientific fact is ♪

♪ They use
all kinds of powers ♪

♪ They just need

man: Practice!

Sparks: At Hero Elementary,
my students

are always ready
for hero training.

♪ ♪

And sometimes their lessons

are more than meets the eye.

- So what are we
gonna be learning today?

- I don't know, but Mr. Sparks
said to meet him here.

- Where is Mr. Sparks anyway?

- I'm right here.

- Uh, where?

- Can you see me?
- No.

[gasps]
Mr. Sparks must be invisible!

- So that's
what we're learning today?

How to be invisible?

- Well, not quite.
- Whoa.

Were you standing there
the whole time?

- [chuckles] Yes.

But you didn't see me
because I was camouflaged.

- Huh, camel what?

- Camouflaged.

It means I blend in with
what's around me like this.

- Whoa, it is really hard
to see you there.

- [chuckles]
Yeah.

Camouflage makes you
almost invisible.

- Sí, lots of animals
use camouflage too.

Do you notice any around here?

- Hm, nope.

- I don't see
any animals at all.

- Then their camouflage
is working.

Look closer.

♪ ♪

- Huh.

♪ ♪

- [squeaks]

[squeaking]

- Hm.

- Huh.

[device clicks]

♪ ♪

AJ: [gasps]

That twig is walking!

- Wait, it isn't a twig.
It's an insect.

- It looks
just like the twigs around it.

- Isn't that
amazing camouflage?

- Hey, look at this.

That grasshopper
blends right in

with the leaves on this bush.

- You're right.

It's very hard to see it
because it's camouflaged.

- [squeaking]

[squeaks]

♪ ♪

- Wait a minute.
Fur Blur's camouflaged too!

- [squeaks]

- [chuckles]

We didn't even see you there,
you little cutie patootie.

- [squeaks]

- Aw.

- Not all heroes
can be invisible,

but camouflage can make you
very hard to see.

[Sparkinator beeping]

- The Sparkinator!
- There must be trouble.

[Sparkinator hums]

Sara: It looks like a horse
is on the loose in the city.

Benny: Oh, the poor horsey--
it could be in danger.

Lucita:
We have to do something.

- Well, who's the crew
who knows what to do?

♪ ♪

[together]
Sparks' Crew to the Rescue!

♪ ♪

Sparks: So my students rushed
to the scene quickly.

They were not horsing around.

- Oh, oh.

Chestnut, come back!
Oh.

♪ ♪

- Fear not, sir.
Sparks' Crew is here to help.

- What happened?

- Well, we were at my farm

just outside the city
when Chestnut got loose.

She ran all the way here.

Poor girl's scared.
Can you catch her?

- We'll do our best.

- Thank you.
Here, these might help.

- Huh?
What are these thingies?

- I know.
Thought projecting.

I've seen them in a comic book.

They go next
to the horse's eyes.

- Yes, they're called blinders.

When you put them on her,
Chestnut can't see things

off to the side
that might scare her.

[Chestnut neighs]

- Oh no,
Chestnut is heading downtown.

- Oh!

[dramatic music]

- Oh no.
Oh, please hurry.

- Come on, team, let's go.

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

[Chestnut neighs]

There she is.

- [screams]

- We're coming for you,
Chestnut!

♪ ♪

- No, don't be scared.

Don't worry.

- [neighs]

♪ ♪

- Shh, shh, it's okay, girl.

- [neighs]

- [whooshes]

We only wanna help.

- [neighs]

[dramatic music]

[neighs]

♪ ♪

- That horse
gets scared easily.

♪ ♪

- [neighs]

[whooshes]

- Poor thing.

♪ ♪

- She's going that way!
Come on!

[whooshes]

♪ ♪

- Oh no, look!

[car horn honks]
- [neighs]

[soft dramatic music]

- Phew, we need
to get Chestnut

away from the street
to someplace safe.

- The park is safe.
There's the entrance.

♪ ♪

- How do we get her
to turn into the park?

- Don't worry, I got this.

[whooshes]

[upbeat music]

[whooshes]

- [neighs]

[whooshes]

[neighs]

♪ ♪

- Great job, Sara.
Let's go.

♪ ♪

- Looks like Chestnut stopped
to snack on those flowers.

- So how do we catch her?

- Maybe we can use
our Superpowers of Science.

[dramatic music]

Yeah, let's start
by brainstorming.

You know, thinking up ideas
to solve this problem.

- Well, we know Chestnut
gets scared

when she sees us,
so it would help

if we can put
these blinders on her.

- Hey, yeah, they block
how much she can see.

- And if she
can't see us coming,

she won't get scared
and run away.

♪ ♪

Benny: Yeah, then we can
catch the sweetie

and bring her back safe.

- But how are we gonna
get the blinders on her?

She'll definitely
see us coming.

♪ ♪

- [grunts]

[sighs]

Not if we put them on
from the back.

Don't worry, I got this.

Saddle.
[whooshes]

[upbeat music]

[whooshes]

- [neighs]
- Oh, whoa!

Chestnut!
[screams]

[whooshes]

Okay, I did not think
that through.

- Chestnut
didn't see you coming,

but she felt you.

- I think we need another plan.

- How about this?
Thought projecting.

I put the blinders on
from above.

If I use my jet pack
to fly high,

she won't see me
or feel me,

and I can swoop down
and put them on.

- That sounds like a good plan.

- There's just one problem.

She might hear
your jet pack coming.

- True.

[jet pack whooshes loudly]

- [neighs]

- It does make a sound.
- But I can fly quietly.

I'll try your plan.
- Good idea.

- Here you go.
Good luck.

♪ ♪

[communicator beeps]

- Lucita,
be careful not to scare her

or she'll run away again.

- Don't worry,
I'll stay nice and high

where she can't see me.

AJ: Not too high, Lucita.

We don't want you
to get dizzy.

- Ooh, too late.

[screams]

[sighs]

- Oh no!
Bubble up!

[suspenseful music]

- Oh, oh.

- [neighs]

[dramatic music]

- Oh.

♪ ♪

Thanks, Benny.

- [sighs]

Well, that's another plan
that didn't work.

- But remember
what Mr. Sparks says.

"Now we know what not to do,

so we're getting closer
to finding a solution."

- Right, we can't give up.

- Yes, we shall come up
with yet another plan

to put the blinders
on Chestnut.

- Where is Chestnut anyway?

- I don't know.

- I don't see her.

- Oh no, we lost her?

Oh, poor Chestnut
lost in the big city.

She could be anywhere!

- There she is.
- Huh?

♪ ♪

- Where?

- Right there near that hill.

♪ ♪

- Oh!
[chuckles]

I didn't see her there.

- She blended right in
with the things around her.

- She was camouflaged.

- Hey, that gives me an idea.

Ooh, maybe we can get close
to Chestnut

if we're camouflaged.

- Hey, yeah,
then she won't see us.

- And we could get close enough
to put the blinders on.

- Whoa, whoa, whoa,
how can we be camouflaged?

We don't look anything like
the things around us.

- Not yet, but I have a plan.
Come on!

♪ ♪

[playful music]

- So am I camouflaged?
- Oh, yep.

You look just like a bush.
How do I look?

- You blend right in, Lucita.

♪ ♪

- I noticed Chestnut
likes flowers, so...

- [chuckles]
That's great camouflage, Benny.

- I've got the blinders.

- If we can get close enough,
I should be able

to put them on Chestnut
using my arm-o-matic.

- I think we're ready.
- Let's do this!

[dramatic music]

- Shh.

- [whispering]
Let's do this.

[playful music]

♪ ♪

♪ ♪

- Oh.
[giggling]

[giggling continues]

- [chuckles]

♪ ♪

♪ ♪

[device whirs]

♪ ♪

- We did it.
- I've got her.

- She can't see us,
so she's not running away.

- Oh, I can't believe
it worked.

- Yahoo, we did it.
We did it.

[soft dramatic music]

- Oh, I'm so happy
that you're back, Chestnut.

Come here.

I was so worried
about you, girl.

Thank you, Sparks' Crew.

- Happy to help, sir.

- Oh, by the way,
I don't think

you're gonna have to feed her
for a while.

[laughs]
Chestnut!

You're eating
all my camouflage!

[laughs]

Sparks: So, with
a little camouflage,

my hero students
saved the day.

Yes, the Sparks' Crew
is the best team

you'll ever see.

Or not see!
- [neighs]

all: ♪ We all belong
at Hero Elementary ♪

[upbeat music]

Sparks:
It was a quiet morning

for Mr. Quivers
and his itty-bitty dog, Bitsy.

- Oh, good girl.
That's a good girl.

Oh, now, fetch.

- [barks]

Sparks: But trouble
was about to pop up.

- [barks]

- What kind of crazy plant
is that?

- [grumbles]

[soft dramatic music]

- [screams]
Forget the ball, Bitsy!

Come on.
Let's go.

[suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

Sparks: Meanwhile
at Hero Elementary,

my students were having a ball
with their hero training.

- Follow that fur ball!

[dramatic music]

- Remember, heroes need
to be able to track

even the smallest
of things.

♪ ♪

- Whoa!

♪ ♪

- But this small thing
is super fast!

[whooshes]

♪ ♪

[whooshes]
Gotcha.

- [squeaks]
- Huh?

[playful music]

- [squeaks]

- Good try, students.

And good work, Fur Blur.

- [squeaks]

[Sparkinator beeping]

- The Sparkinator.

- There must be trouble.

[Sparkinator beeps and hums]

- Oh--oh me, oh my.

Oh, this is scary.

- It's Mr. Quivers.
He looks scared.

- Aw, so does Bitsy.
We must help them!

- Well, who's the crew
who knows what to do?

[dramatic music]

[together]
Sparks' Crew to the Rescue.

- Have no fear.
Sparks' Crew is here.

- Oh, thank goodness.

- What's wrong, Mr. Quivers?
What's scaring you?

- In the backyard!

- [laughs]
It's just a cute, little bunny.

- Behind the bunny.

♪ ♪

- All I see
are a couple of plants.

- Yes, those!

[whooshes]

- What's so scary
about plants? Huh?

[ground rumbles]

[screams]

- You see?

Those crazy plants keep
popping up out of nowhere.

They scare my little Bitsy.

- [barks]

- Okay, they scare me too.
- Don't worry, Mr. Quivers.

We'll figure out
what's going on.

- Yes!
Wait, how?

- Maybe we can use our...

[together]
Superpowers of Science!

- Let's start by asking
some questions.

Like, why do these plants
pop up so fast?

That's not how plants
usually grow.

- They must be super plants.

Only super plants
can grow this fast.

- [gasps]

I've seen something
like these before

in one of my comic books.

"Branch Man Versus the Super,
Purple Pop-Up Plants."

- The super, popple, what?

- Super, purple pop-up plants.

They look
just like these plants.

- Mr. Quivers, did you
plant these in your backyard?

- No, I wouldn't plant those
super, purple whatevers.

- Super, purple pop-up plants.

- Then where do they come from?
- That's another good question.

[communicators beep]

- Come in, Sparks' Crew.

- Hola, Mr. Sparks.

- More problems reported
at the soccer field.

[alarms blaring]

[plants springing]

- Do the problems have to do

with the super, purple
pop-up plants?

- Yes.
How did you know?

- 'Cause that's
what we've got here too.

Thanks, Mr. S.

- Maybe we can find out more
at the soccer field.

We'll be back Mr. Quivers.

Quivers: Okay!

♪ ♪

Sparks: So they headed
to the soccer field

where those purple plants
kept popping up,

making a pesky problem.

♪ ♪

- [blows whistle]
Time out.

♪ ♪

- Don't worry.
Sparks' Crew is here to help.

- Oh, good, these plants
keep popping up on our field.

They're ruining our practice.

- [gasps]
Look, more surple, purple--

- Super, purple pop-up plants.
- What he said.

- Coach, did you
plant these here?

- No, this is a soccer field.

We don't want anything
growing here except grass.

- Then the question is--
why are they growing here?

- [gasps]
Look, more bunnies!

Aw.

- Can you do anything
about these plants?

- We'll try our best.
- Thanks.

Come on, team,
let's take a break.

- We have to figure out
what's going on here.

Huh?

♪ ♪

- Uh-oh.

[all scream]

Did you see that?
Thought projecting.

Something fell of the plant
and made another plant grow.

- Hm.

- Uh, Lucita, don't panic,

but one of those things

is on you right now.

- Oh, oh, it's a bur.

When I hike in the woods
with my abuelita,

I always get burs
stuck on my clothes.

- I can see why.

It's kind of pointy
with little hooks on the ends.

- Yeah, they
really stick to things,

and burs have
a surprise inside.

- Really?
Let's see.

[device clicking]

Hm, those look like seeds.

- Yep, burs have seeds in them.

When a plant drops a bur,
it falls to the ground

and the seeds grow
into more plants.

- And because these
are super plants,

the super seeds
grow super fast.

- So that's why we keep
seeing more zupper--zurple--

- Super, purple pop-up plants.

- Yeah, that.

- These plants drop burs,
which makes more plants,

which makes more burs,
which makes more plants,

which makes more burs--
- But wait.

That doesn't explain
how the first plant got here.

- Oh, yeah.

Where did the seeds
that made that plant

come from
in the first place?

- [gasps]

Maybe this will
give us a clue.

Inside here are different
kinds of seeds.

[soft dramatic music]

- You're right,
but where did these come from?

- Hm.

From over there!

[dramatic music]

Come on, let's investigate.

[upbeat music]

See?
These come from maple trees.

- Whoa, whoa, whoa,
how did seeds

from this tree
get all the way over there?

- By flying!
- Whoa!

[chuckles]
Cool.

- Whoa.

♪ ♪

- And if the wind is blowing,

these seeds
can fly really far.

- So is that how
the purple burs get around?

They fly in the wind?

- Oh, let's test it
with my expand-o-fan.

- Here comes the bur.

[dramatic music]

- [gaps]
I got it!

♪ ♪

Uh, I don't think
this bur flies.

- So then how did the plants
grow on the soccer field

and in Mr. Quivers' backyard?

- And why are we seeing
so many bunnies today?

Oh, not that I mind,
you little cutie-wootie.

[bur pops]

Hey, what's--
[screams]

- [gasps]

Another sipple, pipple--
plant thing!

- Super, purple pop-up plants.

But how did it grow here
away from all the other plants?

- It came from the bunny.

One of the burs
was stuck to its fur.

Look, there's another!
See?

When they scratch it off,
another plant pops up!

- So that's how the burs
get around.

They hitch a ride
on an animal or a person.

- So now the question is--

where are the bunnies
getting these super burs?

- Let's investigate.
Follow those bunnies!

♪ ♪

- Huh?

♪ ♪

[laughs]

♪ ♪

[twig snaps]

♪ ♪

- [grunts]

♪ ♪

[grunts]

[whooshes]

♪ ♪

- Looks like the bunnies
are heading there.

- [gasps]
The City Town greenhouse!

♪ ♪

- [gasps]
Aw!

- Oh, they're coming here

to eat the supersized
vegetables.

Mmm.

- Wow, there are lots

of super, purple pop-up plants
growing here.

[upbeat music]

- Super, purple
pop-up plants!

- Super, purple pop-up plants--

oh, wait,
you got it right this time!

- Yes!

- Look, that's how the bunnies
are getting in there.

- The burs stick to their fur,

and the bunnies
carry them away.

- Then the burs drop off
somewhere else and pop--

the seeds make more plants.

- No wonder these plants
are all over town.

- Okay, team, here's the plan.

We should get the bunnies
away from those plants

and fix the fence
so they can't get back in.

- Let's do this.

♪ ♪

- That way, little cuties.

- [sniffs]

♪ ♪

- [grunts]

[whooshes]

♪ ♪

[sighs]
Problem solved.

- Yeah, now the bunnies
won't be spreading

those super burs
all over City Town.

- But there are still
super, purple pop-up plants

out in the city
dropping super burs

and making more plants.

- Then we'll
just have to move them.

Come on!

♪ ♪

- [sighs]
Phew.

- Don't worry,
we know the perfect place

for these plants.

♪ ♪

- Greenhouse.
[whooshes]

- [sighs]

Okay, team.
[blows whistle]

- Well,
that's the last of them.

- Oh, thank you.
You've made me so happy.

- [barks]
- And Bitsy too.

♪ ♪

- [barks]

- Aw, I think she wants

- [barks]

[laughter]

follow that dog.
