01x16 - Eureka!

Post by bunniefuu »

Hi, I'm pablo.

My name's tyrone.

I'm uniqua.

I'm tasha.

And my name's austin.

All:
and we're...

* Your backyard friends,
the backyardigans *

* Together with
the backyardigans *

Pablo:
* in the place
where we belong *

Uniqua:
* where we'll probably
sing a song *

Tasha:
* and we'll maybe dance along

All:
* we've got the whole wide world
in our yard to explore *

* We always find things
we've never seen before *

* That's why every day
we're back for more *

* With your friends,

* The backyardigans *

"Eureka!"

Pablo:
find anything yet,
tyrone?

Tyrone:
nope, not a thing!

Pablo:
okay.

Keep digging!

Find anything now?

Tyrone:
nope, not a thing!

Okay.

Keep digging!

Find anything?

Tyrone:
wait!

What?!

Tyrone:
wait a minute,
hold on...

Nope.
Not a thing!

Dagnabbit!

I was sure
there was gold in there!

Nope,
not a speck.

Oh hey!
It's me,

Crusty ole pablo!

And me,
dusty ole tyrone.

We're prospectors!

And we're digging
for gold!

Gold,
I tell ya!

* Digging for gold,
digging for gold, *

* Gold, gold digging,

* Digging for go-old

Tyrone:
* we're crusty
ole prospectors, *

* We dig for yeller go-old

Pablo:
* been diggin' so long

* Our socks are crusty,

* And our boots
are full of mo-o-old *

* There's gold in them
thar hills *

* We're sure of it
by jeepers *

* We'll dig it up
and we'll be rich *

* Finders keepers,
losers weepers *

* Digging for gold,
digging for gold, *

* Gold, gold digging,

* Digging for go-old

* Digging for gold,
digging for gold, *

* Gold, gold digging, *

* Digging for go-old

* Digging for gold!

Well,
crusty ole pablo,

There's no gold
around these parts.

Dagnabbit!

If we want
to find gold,

We're going have to head
for the hills.

Of south dakota?

That's right.

I'm sure we'll find
gold there.

And when we do,
we'll yell...

Both:
eureka! (Echoes)

Because that's what
prospectors yell

When they find gold.

Gold,
I tell ya!

South dakota,
here we come!

(Device beeps)

Tasha:
see anything,
uniqua?

Uniqua:
nope. Not a thing,
tasha.

(Beeping)

Tasha:
see anything now?

Uniqua:
nope, nothing.

Tasha:
how about now?

Uniqua:
wait. I think...

Hold on.

Tasha:
what?

Oh, it's nothing.
Take a look.

And I was so sure

That there were
dinosaur bones

Buried around here
somewhere.

Oh, hi!

It's us!
Uniqua...

And tasha!

And we are brilliant
scientists.

Brilliant!

We're using my brilliant
new invention -

The laser-x-ray-
bone-finder -

To find dinosaur
skeletons

That are buried
in the ground.

Brilliant!

If there's anything
in the ground,

We'll see it right here
on the screen.

But, let's face it,
scientist uniqua,

There's nothing buried
around here.

You're right,
scientist tasha.

We're going to have to
head for the hills.

Of south dakota?

Brilliant!

That's right.

I'm sure we'll find
a dinosaur skeleton there.

We might even find
a flapasaurus skeleton.

A flapasaurus
skeleton?!

Brilliant!

No one's ever found
one of those!

Then we'll be
the first!

And when we find it,
we'll yell...

Both:
eureka! (Echoes)

Because that's what
brilliant scientists say

When they find
a dinosaur skeleton.

Let's go

To the hills
of south dakota!

Tasha:
where there are
dusty trails...

Uniqua:
and rocky rocks...

Tasha:
and mountainous mountains!

Tyrone:
the hills of south dakota!

There's gold in these hills,
I'm sure of it!

Gold,
I tell ya!

Clementine:
hee-haw!

This is trusty
ole clementine,

Our pack mule.

She's carrying
everything we need

To dig for gold.

Gold,
I tell ya!

Hee-haw!

Now let's go
find it!

Right!

But how?

There are
a million hills

And a zillion
places to dig.

We'll find a place

Where no prospector
has ever dug before.

And that's where
we'll find gold!

Gold,
I tell ya!

Clementine:
hee-haw!

C'mon!

Tasha:
the hills of south dakota!

Uniqua:
there are dinosaur bones
in these hills,

Scientist tasha!

I'm sure of it!

We're going to be
the first scientists

To find a flapasaurus
skeleton.

Brilliant!

The flapasaurus,

A dinosaur with wings
on its nose

And flaps on its toes.

Or maybe wings
on its toes

And flaps
on its nose.

Nobody knows
for sure.

Do you really think

We can find
a flapasaurus skeleton?

I know we can!

We've got my brilliant
invention -

The laser-x-ray-
bone-finder!

We're gonna find
those bones!

* Those bones, those bones,
those old bones *

* Those bones, those bones,
those old bones *

* Those bones,
those flaposaurus bones *

* We're gonna find
those bones *

Uniqua:
* oh the wing bone's
connected to the toe bone *

Tasha:
* the toe bone's connected
to the foot bone *

Uniqua:
* the nose bone's connected
to the flap bone *

Uniqua and tasha:
* we're gonna find those bones

Tasha:
* the little bone's
connected to the big bone *

Uniqua:
* the big bone's connected
to the bigger bone *

Tasha:
* the bigger bone's connected
to the really big bone *

Tasha and uniqua:
* we're gonna find those bones

Uniqua:
* we're gonna look and look
till we find the bones *

Tasha
* then we'll dig and dig
and dig the bones *

Tasha and uniqua:
* we'll find those
flaposaurus bones *

* Buried in these hills!

Pablo:
what do you think,
dusty ole tyrone?

Should we dig here?

Well,
crusty ole pablo,

I don't see
any other prospectors.

Me either.

And I don't see
any holes.

Pablo:
me either.

So, it doesn't
look to me

Like anybody's ever dug
around these parts before.

That's what
I think too.

So, I say we start
digging right here

And find gold!

Gold,
I tell ya!

Clementine:
hee-haw!

Now all we need
are shovels.

There are shovels
in clementine's pack!

No, that's not it.

No, that's not it either.

I know they're in here.

Oh! Here they are.

Shovels!

C'mon,
let's get digging!

(Beep, beep)

See anything,
uniqua?

Nope.
Nothing.

(Beep, beep)

See anything now,
uniqua?

Nope.
Not a thing.

See anything now?

Nope,
not a... Wait!

I think we're on
to something!

Dinosaur bones!

(Fast beeping)

It must be buried
right here!

We've found it!

The flapasaurus!

Both:
eureka! (Echoes)

Eureka!

Eureka!

Eureka!

Did you just hear
somebody yell

"Eureka"?

Definitely.

I definitely just heard
somebody yell "eureka".

Well, you know
what that means.

Yup.
It means that

We're not the only prosectors
'round these parts.

And it means that those
other prospectors

Have found something.

You think they've
found gold?

Yup,
they must have.

Or else,
why would they yell...

Both:
eureka?

Tyrone and pablo:
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* When you find-a
what you seek-a *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* Everybody shout eureka!

* Eureka!
Eureka! Eureka! *

* Eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* It's a word
from ancient greek-a *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* Everybody shout eureka! *

Is it a flapasaurus
skeleton?

It's not dinosaur
bones at all.

It's just
an old tin can!

Oh for goodness
sakes!

Tyrone and pablo:
* it's the be-est dang word

* Eureka! Eureka!

* That we have ever heard

* Eureka! Eureka!

* When you're just
about to freak-a *

* Shout it out,
eureka! *

(Shout) eureka!

(Eureka echoes)

Did you just hear
somebody yell "eureka"?

Definitely.

I definitely just heard
somebody yell "eureka".

Then you know
what that means.

Tasha:
yeah. It means we're
not the only dinosaur

Bone-digging flapasaurus
skeleton-hunting scientists

Out here.

* Eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* When you find-a
what you seek-a *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* Everybody shout eureka!

* Eureka! Eureka! Eureka!

* Eureka-aaa!
Eureka! *

* It's a word
from ancient greek-a *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* Everybody shout eureka!

* Eureka! Eureka! Eureka!

* It's a scientist's delight

* Eureka! Eureka! *

* And we do
pronounce it right *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* When you take-a that
first peek-a *

* Shout it out,
eureka! *

(Giggles)

We've gotta find
those other scientists

And see what
they're up to.

C'mon!

We've gotta find
those other prospectors

Before they find
the gold.

Gold,
I tell ya!

Clementine:
hee-haw!

C'mon.

I think they're just
over that ridge.

We can sneak up
on them.

(Quietly) look!
There they are!

The other
prospectors!

You know...

They look awfully clean
for prospectors.

Maybe those other
dinosaur bone-digging-

Flapasaurus skeleton-
hunting-scientists

Are on the other side
of this gulch.

Uniqua:
let's go see.

Tasha:
brilliant!

I'm right behind you!

Look! They're crossin'
the gulch!

You know, if we could
just keep them

On that side
of the gulch...

Then all the gold
on this side

Will belong to us!

Then that bridge
has got to go!

We've got to
knock it down.

I got just the thing
in clementine's pack!

Not quite.

Oh, oh, uh,
may-maybe...

Nah...

I know it's in here
somewhere.

Tasha:
we're here!

Uniqua:
now let's find
those other scientists!

Tasha:
brilliant!

Pablo!

They're on
the other side!

I know they're in here...

I think...
I can almost reach-

I've got them!

Well, that ought
to do it.

Let's knock this
bridge down!

Okay,

When I say three,
go.

Ready?

Ready.

Three!

(Whack! Whack!)

Hey,
what's that?

(Gasp) oh no!

They've knocked down
the bridge!

Well, that's not
very nice.

Yahoo!

Yeehaw!

Whoopee!

Tyrone and pablo:
we did it!

It's those other
scientists!

They look awfully
crusty and dusty

For scientists.

The flapasaurus
skeleton

Must be on the other
side of the gulch!

They're gonna find it
first!

We've gotta get back
over there!

Uniqua:
and I know how.

We'll climb down the bridge
into the gulch,

Then climb up
the other side.

C'mon.

Tasha:
brilliant!

Uh oh.

Look!

Those other prospectors
are climbing down

Into the gulch!

There must be gold
down there!

Gold,
I tell ya!

Hee-haw!

Uniqua: (yelling)
hands off!

Tyrone: (yelling)
that's our gold!

Uniqua:
I mean you, buddy!

Tasha: (yelling)
any dinosaur bones
around here belong to us!

Pablo: (yelling)
all the gold in these
parts belongs to us!

Both:
gold?

Both:
dinosaur bones?

Aren't you prospectors
looking for gold?

No, we're brilliant
scientists

Looking for
a flapasaurus skeleton.

Aren't you scientists
looking for the flapasaurus?

No, we're crusty,
dusty prospectors

Looking for gold.

Gold,
I tell ya!

Clementine:
hee-haw!

Tasha:
oh, for goodness sakes!

We've been all confused!

Pablo:
you can say that again.

Tasha:
we've been all confused.

(Everybody giggles)

Tyrone:
so, what is
a flapasaurus?

It's a dinosaur
with wings on its nose

And flaps
on its toes.

Or maybe wings
on its toes

And flaps
on its nose.

Nobody knows
for sure.

Tasha:
but we haven't found
anything yet.

Uniqua:
even with my brilliant
laser-x-ray-bone-finder!

Tyrone:
we haven't found
anything yet either.

Even with all the tools
in clementine's pack.

You know, since we can't find
what we're looking for...

And we can't find
what we're looking for...

Tasha and pablo:
we could help each other!

Brilliant!

Dagnabbit!

All:
* one good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

Tyrone:
* you help us search,

Pablo:
* we help you dig

Uniqua:
* great, 'cause what
we're digging for *

* Is really, really big

All:
* one good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

Pablo:
* we're crusty ole
prospectors, *

* But we haven't found
no gold *

Tyrone:
* been searchin'
and a searchin', *

* An' it's gettin' kinda old

Uniqua:
* we're two brilliant
scientists, *

* But we haven't found
those bones *

Tasha:
* been searching,
searching, searching, *

* Under boulders,
rocks and stones *

Tyrone:
* but now we've
got together *

Uniqua:
* we're gonna help
each other *

Pablo and tasha:
* we'll find those bones
and yeller gold *

All:
* one good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

Uniqua:
* you helped us out,

Pablo:
* you helped us too,

Tasha:
* even though you're crusty,

* It's the right thing to do

All:
* one good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

* One good turn
deserves another *

Tasha:
oh my goodness!
Water!

Uniqua:
I think we hit
an underground spring!

Actually, I think you hit
an underground river.

And I think it's filling up
the gulch.

All:
uh-oh.

Nobody panic.
Stay calm.

Stay perfectly calm!

Everything's okay.

Tasha:
crusty ole pablo...

Pablo:
don't lose your head,

It's going to be
all right.

Crusty old pablo?

Totally under control!

Stay calm!

Crusty ole pablo!

(Calmly) yeah?

Tyrone:
we need a boat.

Pablo:
oh. Well, I got one of those
in clementine's pack!

No...

No...

(Groans)

Tyrone:
pablo, the water's rising.

Pablo:
here it is!

Tyrone:
everybody in!

Pablo:
whoa!

Tasha:
careful!

Pablo:
here we go.

Clementine:
hee-haw!

Oh no!

Clementine!

We've got
to save her!

Tyrone:
everyone, grab a paddle,
and start paddling!

Pablo:
we're coming, clementine!

Tasha:
it's not working!

Paddle the other way!

I'm getting dizzy.

Hee-haw!

Uniqua:
you guys!

We've got to get
organized!

Tasha!
Let's turn around!

Tasha:
brilliant!

Uniqua:
ready? Now paddle!

Hee-haw, hee-haw!

Tyrone:
hang on, clementine!

We're almost there!

Tyrone:
hop in, ole girl!

Clementine!
You're safe!

Tyrone:
it's always a good idea

To bring a boat
when you go prospecting.

Tyrone:
hop out!

Pablo:
c'mon clementine!

Pablo:
where are we?

Tyrone:
you know,
crusty ole pablo,

I don't think I've ever been
in these parts before.

Maybe no prospectors

Have been in these
parts before.

Uniqua:
you know,
scientist tasha,

I don't think that
I've ever been here before.

Tasha:
maybe no scientist
has ever been here before.

All:
let's dig!

Tyrone and pablo
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* We'll sing this song
all week-a *

* Everybody shout,
eureka! *

* Eureka! Eureka!

Tasha and uniqua:
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* To the top
of the highest peak-a *

* Eureka! Eureka!

* Everybody shout eureka!

* Eureka! Eureka!
Eureka! *

Tyrone and pablo:
* it's the perfect thing
to shout, *

Tasha and uniqua:
* eureka! Eureka!

Tyrone and pablo:
* when you're diggin'
treasure out *

All:
* eureka! Eureka!

Tyrone and pablo:
* when you find-a
what you seek-a *

* Shout it out,
eureka! *

Tasha and uniqua:
* eureka! Eureka! *

Tasha and uniqua:
* it's the word
you hear us shriek *

Tyrone and pablo:
* eureka! Eureka!

Tasha and uniqua:
* when we find
the bones we seek *

All:
* eureka! Eureka!

Tasha and uniqua:
* when you take-a
that first peek-a *

* Shout it out,
eureka! *

Tyrone and pablo:
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* It is time to shout

Tasha and uniqua:
* eureka! *

Tyrone and pablo:
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

* It is time to shout

Pablo and tyrone:
* eureka!

All:
* eurekaaa!
Eureka! *

Eureka! Eureka!

* It is time to shout,
eureka! *

All:
eureka! (Echoes)

Tyrone:
now that's a whole
heapin' mess of gold!

We're rich,
dagnabbit!

Uniqua:
now that's an amazing
flapasaurus!

Brilliant!

Hmm...

Hey look!

It doesn't have flaps
on its nose

And wings on its toes.

Tasha:
and it doesn't have wings
on its nose

And flaps on its toes.

Uniqua:
it actually has flaps
on its wings...

Tasha:
and toes on its nose.

Both:
brilliant!

Pablo:
this must be
the biggest pile of gold

Any crusty, dusty prospectors
have ever found.

Tyrone:
it certainly is!

And we couldn't have done it

Without you two dinosaur
diggin' scientists.

Pablo:
thank you kindly.

Both:
you're welcome.

We couldn't have found
our flaposaurus

Without you two crusty, dusty,
gold-diggin' prospectors.

Thank you.

Uniqua:
yeah, thanks you,
crusty guys!

(Tyrone's stomach rumbles)

Uniqua:
was that your stomach?

Tyrone:
yup!

I got a powerful hankerin'
for some snackage.

Uniqua:
wanna come to my house?

We've got graham crackers.

Tyrone:
yeah!

Tasha:
I'm starving.

Pablo:
graham crackers,
I tell ya!

Tasha:
brilliant!

Pablo
dagnabbit!

All:
(giggle)

Tyrone:
that was an excellent
gold-diggin',

Dinosaur-hunting adventure,
don't you think?

Uniqua:
absolutely!

Tasha:
brilliant!

Pablo:
the best, I tell ya!

All:
* we've got the whole wide world
in our yard to explore *

* Now it's time for us
to have a snack *

* Meet you next time
when we're back *

* With your friends,

* The backyardigans *

Pablo:
see you next time!

Uniqua:
see you later!

Tasha:
snacktime, yay!

Tyrone:
I love graham crackers!

Uniqua:
me, too!

Pablo:
yeah!

Tyrone and uniqua:
eureka!
