Vroom. Vroom.

[IMITATING CAR MOTOR]

MAX: Beep, beep.Coming through.

[EMMY IMITATING
ENGINE SPUTTERING]

Uh-oh.
I'’ve run out of gas.

Whoo-whoo!

Here comes the tow truck
to the rescue.

Don'’t worry.

I'’ll bring you
to the gas station.

Thanks, Mr. Tow Truck Man.

[TINKLING]

EMMY:
Hey, Max.

The dragons are calling us.
Come on.

[♪♪]

BOTH:
I wish, I wish

With all my heart

To fly with dragons
In a land apart

[♪♪]

It'’s Cassie'’s cave.

Oh, I'’m so glad
you'’re both here.

Cassie needs you.

Needs us?
What'’s wrong?

You'’ll see.

[♪♪]

Excuse us, coming through.

Hello, Biz.
Good morning, Dandy.

Hi, Spidgee.

Cassie sure
has a big family.

Yeah. Really big.
[GIGGLES]

Cassie?

Hi, Finn.

[GIGGLES]
We'’re glad to see you too.

Hi, Emmy. Hi, Max.

What'’s wrong, Cassie?

Why do you look so sad?

And what happened
to your bedroom?

It looks as messy as mine.

Mommy and Daddy told me
something terrible

BOTH:
What?

I have to move

to a whole other room
in the house.

Why? What'’s wrong
with this room?

Nothing.

It'’s perfect.

It'’s just my big family
keeps getting bigger.

[BLATHERS]

That'’s right, Finn.

Mom and Dad need this room
for the new babies

who are about to hatch.

Since I'’m a big girl now,

I don'’t need to be so close to
Mommy and Daddy'’s room anymore.

[MUSIC BOX PLAYING]

I know it'’s important
for the new babies

to be in here, but...

I'’m so sad about
leaving this room

that I don'’t know
what to do.

Can you help me?

Of course, I'’ll help, Cassie.
We'’ll all help.

Won'’t we?
Sure.

You can count on us,
Cassie.

Thank you.

I help.

But what if my new room
isn'’t as nice as this one?

Well?
What is your new room like?

Uh, I don'’t know.

I haven'’t looked at it yet.

Then I think the first thing
we should do

is go and check it out.

You might even think
it'’s nicer than this one.

Well... all right.

Come on, Finn.

[GIGGLES]

[WHISPERING]
Whoa, Cassie.

Your new room is so...

dark.

[GASPS]

EMMY:
And it'’s so empty.

[WHISPERING]
Why are we whispering?

[GIGGLES]

I don'’t know.

[NORMAL VOLUME]
Want to explore your new room,
Cassie?

That'’s okay, Emmy.

Why don'’t you explore,
and I'’ll watch.

Ooh, it has pretty curtains.

And it'’s still dark.

That'’s better.

A lot better.

[GIGGLES]

Look, Cassie,
your own flower box.

[LAUGHING]
Flower!

Cool.

Purple. And look,

Unicorns.

It'’s nice, I guess.

Just not as nice
as being in my old room.

Why not?

It seems so empty and...

I don'’t know.

Maybe you'’re just
not used to yet.

Ord'’s right.

That'’s how Max and I felt
about our new house

when we first moved in.

Really?
Uh-huh.

But once we got our things
set up, we felt better.

What do you mean?Well...

our old toys
and all our other stuff

made us feel more at home
in our new house.

And once we found all the cool
new things in our new house,

we forgot all about
how strange it felt.

Like when we learned
how to visit Dragon Land.

It'’s just like
my new shoes.

At first, they were
a little uncomfortable.

It took a little while
to get used to them.

Hm, maybe that'’s why I feel
so good in my old room.

I'’m used to it.

And, it has all of
my favorite things in it.

Like what?

My stuffed animals,
my favorite blanket...

Well, I know
how to fix that.

Come on, everybody.

[FINN GIGGLES]

[♪♪]

Huh?

[ALL LAUGH]

Hm.

Hey.

Hm.

[FINN GIGGLES]

[BOTH GRUNT]

[GIGGLES]

[GIGGLES]

[BOTH LAUGH]

[LAUGHS]

Now that I have all
my favorite things in here,

my new room
is starting to feel...

I don'’t know.

It just doesn'’t feel
so strange anymore.

That'’s because it'’s not so big
and empty anymore either.

You know, I might actually
like this room

as much as
my old one someday.

After I get used to it.

ORD:
Hey.

[GRUNTS]

Last load of the day.

Where do you want
all these, Cassie?

Do you want me to help Ord
find a place, Cassie?

No, thanks, Emmy.

I'’m feeling better
about my new room.

I can find a spot.

[FINN SNORES]

Let'’s see.

No, this is too small.

This is already full.

Hm.

What'’s this?

[GASPS]
Look, everybody.

It'’s a door.

Ooh, let me see.

Wow.
A secret room.

[GIGGLES]

Whoa. I wish I had one
of these in my bedroom.

Me too.

Cassie. You can
make this into a fort.

Or a secret clubhouse.

How about a place
to have picnics?

Mm.

Cassie, you'’re new room
is awesome.

Thanks.

I guess it is,
isn'’t it?

Definitely.

Come on, guys.

Let'’s put these books
in the secret room.

I'’ve decided it will be
my special place

where I read to my little
brothers and sisters.

Yay!

[GIGGLES]

Come on, Finn.
Want to help?

Here we go.

[♪♪]

Watch your head.

[ORD GRUNTS]

Sorry.

That'’s okay, Ord.

This one'’s Finn and Kiki'’s
favorite anyway.

FINN:
Yay.

"And as Little Red Riding Hood
skipped through the forest..."

Uh-oh.

I bet it'’s dark
in the forest.

"And as Little Red Riding Hood

skipped through
the bright, sunny forest..."

Grandma'’s!

That'’s right, Finn.

Little Red Riding Hood

was skipping
to her grandmother'’s house.

Oh, I love going to grandma'’s.

She makes the yummiest
dragonberry pudding.

[GIGGLES]

Ord, don'’t you wanna let Cassie
finish telling the story?

Oh. Right.

"And as Little Red Riding Hood

"skipped to the bright,
sunny forest,

"thinking of her grandma'’s
yummy dragonberry pudding,

she suddenly came upon a..."

Purple pond.

[LAUGHS]
What?

Well, on the way
to my grandma'’s house,

you have to cross
a really long bridge

that goes over
a huge purple pond.

Uh-huh, and there'’s poppy rocks
to climb on,

and friendly fish everywhere,
and... and...

Oh, I'’m interrupting again,
aren'’t I?

Ord, maybe
it would be better

if you sat here
with Finn and Kiki

and told them about going
to your grandmother'’s house.

They'’ve heard about
Little Red Riding Hood

hundreds of times.

Really?

Okay.

BOTH:
I wish, I wish

To use this rhyme

To go back home
Until next time

Max?
What are you doing?

I'’m looking tor secret closets,
Emmy.

Maybe our house
has one too.

Ah. Maybe there'’s one
in the living room.

Max, you'’re being silly.

MAX: Yeah.[GASPS]

Wait up, Max.
I'’m coming.

[♪♪]

Max, there'’s a whole bunch
more clay to play with,

if you want.

[SIGHS]
No, thanks.

I made a cake.

Perfect.

They'’re probably
eating cake right now.

I thought you seemed sad.

Now I know why.

It'’s because
you weren'’t invited

to Brian'’s birthday party,
isn'’t it?

They'’re probably having
tons of fun right now.

If it'’s fun you want,
how about a trip to Dragon Land?

I don'’t know.

Max.

[♪♪]

Okay.

BOTH:
I wish, I wish

With all my heart

To fly with dragons
In a land apart

Emmy. Max.

You'’re just in time.

For what?

We'’re going
on a nature hunt.

Just as soon as Quetzal
brings us pictures

of the special things
we need to find.

Great. Max and I
love nature hunts.

ORD:
Me too.

I'’ll bet there'’s bushes
full of yummy,

juicy dragonberries
all along the way.

What'’s wrong,
little buddy?

Max'’s friend Brian
is having n birthday party,

and Max wasn'’t invited.

Oh, I'’m sorry, Max.

But I'’m sure
there'’s a good explanation.

Maybe your invitation
got lost in the mail.

Or maybe it'’s a really
small party

and Brian could only
invite a few friends.

Yeah, well...

whatever.

QUETZAL:
Hola, niños.

Max, I overheard
your discussion

regarding Brian'’s
birthday party and...

You know why
I wasn'’t invited?

Well, no, I don'’t.

But I do understand
that you feel hurt.

Nobody likes being left out.

You can say that again.

And the important thing
to remember is,

that feeling sad
doesn'’t last forever.

Meanwhile, try to find things
to do to make you happy again.

Like a nature hunt.

I have three items
for you to locate

on your adventure, niños.

The first one
is a Bow Blossom.

And it can be found
in the Field of Flowers.

Second,

if you look very carefully
in the Field of Rocks,

you may find
a Rainbow Rock.

EMMY:
I don'’t see a rainbow.

Es verdad,Emmy.
It'’s true.

But when sunlight hits
the Rainbow Rock just right...

ALL:
Ooh! Aah!

...it opens up and the colors
of the rainbow appear.

You said there was a third
thing we should try to find.

Uh, yes, but first
I have to find it myself.

Now where did I...

Ah, here.

The third item
is a Hopping Bean.

Who can guess where to find it?

Ooh, ooh.
I know, I know.

Pick me, pick me.
Ord?

In the Field of...

...uh, Beans?

That'’s correct.

Cassie, will you be
in charge

of carrying the pictures?

Of course, Quetzal.

Well, what'’re we
waiting for?

Dragonberries-- Uh,
I mean, nature hunt,

here we come.

It'’s gonna be fun,
huh, Max?

[SIGHS]
I hope so.

All right, niños.
Good luck.

Remember, Max,

just give it time.Mm-hm.

You have to admit, Max,

This sure beats
sitting at home,

staring out the window,
doesn'’t it?

I guess.
Okay.

The first thing we have
to find is the Bow Blossom.

[WIND BLOWS]

Mm.

I see one, I see one.

Uh-oh.

Oh, no.

We can catch it.

ORD:
Whoa!

It'’s coming in
for a landing, Max.

[GRUNTS]

Way to go, Max.

Love it!

[SIGHS]

What'’s the matter,
Max?

Wasn'’t it fun catching
the Bow Blossom?

Yeah, but now
that I look at it,

the Bow Blossom reminds me
of the bows on presents,

and presents remind me
of Brian'’s birthday party.

And that reminds me
I wasn'’t invited.

Well,
come on, everyone.

We have two more things
to try and find.

Next up.

ALL:
A Rainbow Rock!

b*at you to the rock field,
Zaky.

[CHUCKLES]
Not if I get there first.

[ALL LAUGHING]

I won.No way.

What do you say, Emmy?
Who got here first?

[GIGGLES]

Gee, it looked
neck and neck to me.

ORD:
Wow.

I'’ve never seen
so many rocks.

I'’ll bet nobody
at Brian'’s party

has ever seen
a Rainbow Rock, Max.

And neither will we.

It'’s not even sunny outside,

and you can'’t even tell
which one'’s a Rainbow Rock

unless the sun
shines on it.

There can'’t be that
many rocks shaped like diamonds.

We just need
to look extra hard.

[♪♪]

BOTH:
Hm.

Emmy said corning to Dragon Land
would make me feel better,

but it isn'’t.

And I usually like
nature hunts,

but I still feel pretty sad.

And I still wish
I was at Brian'’s party.

Max, I understand
how you'’re feeling.

I'’ve felt the exact
same way myself.

How could you?

You'’ve got a zillion
brothers and sisters.

You probably go to birthday
parties every day.

I mean, I know
what it feels like

to be left out
and to feel sad.

One day, after school,

I wanted to play dragonball,

but nobody picked me
to be on their team.

At first, I felt
really, really terrible.

But then they changed
their minds

and said they made a big mistake
by not inviting--

I-I mean, picking you,

and they were really,
really sorry?

Uh, no.

I never got to play.

Oh.

That story isn'’t really making
me feel any better, Cassie.

The thing is,

even though I felt
really, really bad at first,

some of my sisters and I
went to Singing Springs

and sang
happy songs instead.

After that,
I felt much, much better.

Singing would just remind me
that my school friends

are probably singing
"Happy Birthday"

to Brian right now.

Everything reminds me
of the party.

There'’s nothing that'’ll make me
feel better ever again.

Max, remember
what Quetzal said?

It'’s okay to feel sad.

And you'’ll definitely
get over it.

Look, the sun'’s
coming back out.

Now we ought to be able to find
a Rainbow Rock in no time.

And maybe a
Dragonberry Bush too.

Come on, Max.
Don'’t you want to look?

Nope.

[GASPS]

'’Cause I already found one.

You were sitting on it, Ord.

A dragonberry bush?

[CHUCKLES]
No.

A rainbow rock.

ALL:
Oh! Wow!

It'’s so beautiful.

Love it!

Nice going,
little buddy.

Come on, there'’s
one more item to find.

This should be easy.

There are beans
everywhere.

That'’s true,

but Hopping Beans
aren'’t like any other beans.

They'’re not?

Nope. They'’re really big,
like this.

And they don'’t grow
out of the ground.

Hey, there goes
a bean right now.

Uh, another thing
about Hopping Beans.

[GRUNTS]

They move very quickly.

No kidding.

[GIGGLES]

[ALL LAUGHING]

Hopping Bean, ahoy!

We can catch it.

But you know what
would be really fun?

Let'’s all hop like
the Hopping Bean

and see if we can still
catch it that way.

Great idea.

Love it!

[ALL LAUGHING]

[LAUGHS]

There it is.

There it is.
I'’ll grab it, I'’ll grab--

[GRUNTS]

Guess it got away.

MAX:
No, it didn'’t.

Guess we tired it out.

[SNORES]

[ALL CHEERING]

Excellent.

I'’ll put it in my pouch
so it can snooze.

We can show it to Quetzal
and bring it back

before it even
wakes up.

Pleasant dreams,
little bean.

[GIGGLES]

Hopping was extra fun.

Yes, Emmy, great idea.

I was just thinking.

Hopping reminds me
of hopscotch,

which we always play
at birthday parties back home.

But know what?

Even though I was thinking
about Brian'’s party,

I didn'’t feel as sad.

That'’s probably because
you just had so much fun,

you didn'’t have room inside you
for any sadness.

Muy bien, niños.

You found all three items.

And best of all,
Max isn'’t so sad anymore.

Well, I wasn'’t,

until I came back here
to the school.

'’Cause then I started thinking
how tomorrow at my school,

the kids are gonna be talking
about Brian'’s birthday party.

There is no magical cure
for sadness, Max.

But I think you'’ll agree

that feeling sad
doesn'’t last forever.

It starts to get less
and less strong as time passes,

and the more you allow yourself
to have fun.

Well, I did have fun.

Chasing the Bow Blossom,
and finding the Rainbow Rock

and especially hopping
after that Hopping Bean.

[GIGGLES]

[GIGGLING]

BOTH:
I wish, I wish

To use this rhyme

To go back home
Until next time

It'’s okay, Emmy.

You don'’t have
to smash your cake.

I don'’t mind being reminded
of Brian'’s birthday party

because I'’m hardly
even sad anymore.

I'’m not squishing the cake
to make you feel better.

I'’m squishing it because
I want to make a Bow Blossom.

a Rainbow Rock
and a Hopping Bean

so we can have
our own nature hunt.

That'’s the best idea ever.
