Machines. They'’re part of

Identified all different kinds
Of rocks that have many
Different colors and textures.

Special easter rock hunt.
Yay!
You'’re going to search for
Rocks here on the playground and
All around the school, and put
Them in your easter baskets.
I even hid some rocks from my
Own rock collection.
I'’m an easter bunny, and I
Love hunting rocks.
When you'’ve collected the
Rocks, bring them back to the
Picnic table, and we can use old
Toothbrushes and soapy water to
Clean them. Then we'’ll look at
The rocks with magnifying
Glasses and make observations.
Are we going to find sparkly
Rocks or gray rocks or black
Rocks?
I don'’t know. Maybe you'll
Find all those rocks. Then you
Can work as a team to sort the
Rocks by color, shape, and
Texture.
I think all the rock colors
Are beautiful. They'’re even
Better than easter eggs.

Choose your favorite rock and
Paint it to look like an easter

Explore all around the
Playground. Your teacher has
Hidden some special rocks, and
You'’ll also find rocks that are
Found naturally out here. Look
Everywhere. Ooh, you found
A black one. And you found
A few small rocks that are
Different colors. Some are big,
Some are different shapes, some
Have smooth textures, and some
Have rough textures. There are
So many different kinds of
Rocks. All right, everyone bring
Your rocks back to the table
So we can investigate.
First, use these old
Toothbrushes and water to clean
The rocks. Then use a magnifying
Glass so you can look at them up
Close and make some
Observations.
Now work as a team to sort your
Rocks by color, texture, and
Shape. And finally, choose your
Favorite rock and paint it to
Look like an easter rock. You
Can paint it any color you like
Or you can use lots of colors.
