- I'm Peg. This is Cat.
And today, our T-Ball team

is going
to the world series.

- But the series
isn't in our world.

- It's totally out
of this world...

on the Purple Planet.

Meet our team, the Mighty Nine.

- We're called that because
there are, like, nine of us.

- And because we're mighty!
- We arrrr!
- It's true.

- And George Washington
cannot tell a lie!

- We're playing the Alien
Super-Stars to determine
once and for all...

♪ Who's the greatest at T-ball ♪

- ♪ We're the greatest
team of all! ♪
- Ruff!

- ♪ Who's gonna win
this game today? ♪

- (all): They are.

- Aye. Those aliens
look way better.

- (crowd): Al-i-ens! Al-i-ens!
- Peg, this stadium is so big!

- And everyone is cheering
for the other team!

- Our space pal Richard
will root for us.
- Hey, Peg and Cat!

Did you guys come to watch the
Alien Super-Stars? They're gonna
destroy the other team!

- Richard, we ARE
the other team!
- Oh man.

Too bad. So do you wanna
check out my T-ball cards?

Each one tells you about a
different Alien Super-Star.
She's called Middle Magee

'cause she always pounds
the ball right up the middle
of the field!

- Whoa.
- Take 'em. I have doubles.

- Okay, players,
here's the rules.

The game's gonna be one inning.
Each team gets one turn to bat

and one turn in the field.
Up first is, the Aliens.

- Teens, you're in the outfield.
- (together): Rockin'!

- Cat and Big Dog will help me
cover this part of the infield.

And George, Captain and Aki,
you stand at the bases.

- I call first base!
- Second!
- Third!

- The base says one.
So why's he calling first?

- When things go in order,
instead of saying one, two,
three, you can say...

♪ First, second and third ♪

- Catchy!
- ♪ Back on earth
or here in space ♪

♪ As you go from base
to base it's... ♪

- ♪ First!
- Second!
- And third! ♪

- Fourth base is called home.
When you run all the way around
the bases and cross home,

you score a run.
- And the team that scores
the most runs wins.

♪ The bases are numbered, we all
know that, but is there an order
when it's time to bat? ♪

- There sure is!
♪ First, second and third ♪

- ♪ Do you count in order
when players are out?
- Oh yeah, George ♪

♪ Without a doubt! ♪

- ♪ First, second and third ♪

- When a team's batting,
they get three outs.
Then the other team bats.

♪ So in case you've been
sleeping or just haven't heard
When you're counting in order ♪

- ♪ It's first, second
and thiiiiiird! ♪

- Batter up!

- Here's their first batter...

- Catch it! Or don't.

- It's okay, team.
We'll get the next batter out.

- I got it!

Changed me mind.

- This next Alien's really
small. There's no way
she'll hit it...

...hard?
- (both): Hell-o!
- Goodbye!

- (announcer): The Aliens have
scored the first, second,
and third runs!

And there's their fourth!
The Mighty Nine have a mighty
BIG PROBLEM!

- This Alien's got a problem.
Way too many eyes.
- That's it, Cat!

We can use the T-Ball cards
to PREDICT where the Aliens
will hit the ball.

- Pre-what?
- Predict means
make a good guess

about what's going to happen.

Here's the next batter's card.
- AAhoowah!
- Hm.

Last year, he hit the ball to
the third base side ten times.

And to the first base
side only once.

Since he hit it to the third
base side more times,

it's likely he'll hit it
there this time.

I predict he'll hit to the third
base side, team.

- I got it, I got it.

I got it!

- First out!
- This batter hit the ball
to the first base side

twelve times, and to the third
base side only twice.

Since twelve is
way more than two...

I predict she'll hit it
to the first base side, team.

- Second out!
- We just need one more out
before it's our turn to bat.

And so...
♪ Problem solved! ♪

- ♪ The problem is solved!
- We solved the problem!
Problem solved! ♪

The next batter has mostly hit
to the first base side.

So it's likely he'll hit
to the first base side again.

Stay right where you are, team!
- Uh,

what are the Aliens
whispering about?
- I don't like the looks of it.

- NO! The aliens realized
we're standing where they
usually hit the ball.

So now they're hitting the ball
where they DON'T usually hit it.

- So that's what they were
whispering about!

Aliens.
- Now I have no idea

where we should stand.
- Arrr!

- (announcer): The Aliens
have scored their fifth
and sixth runs!

- Will we ever get
the third out?!

- Oy yoy yoy.

- The ball's heading towards
Mora. Better text her.

- The ball's for sure
coming to you,

Tessa.
- Jesse and Mora, could I,
like, get some help?

- Now that's teen work.

- And the third out!
- Come on, Mighty Nine,

it's our turn to bat.

George Washington bats first.
- Yes!

- Aki, second. Big Dog, third.
Jesse, Mora, Tessa, fourth,
fifth, sixth.

Captain seventh, Cat eighth
and I'll bat ninth.

- Uh, can I go ninth?

I'm in no hurry to mess up--
I mean bat.

- Sure, Cat. I'll go eighth
and you can go ninth.

- Batter up!
- Give it a ride, Georgie!

- First out!
- Be strong, George.
It's only a game.

- Hiiii-ya!

- Second out!
- One more out and the Aliens
will win. The Mighty Nine

have a REALLY BIG PROBLEM!

- Peanuts! Popcorn!
- Ramone!
- Time out!

- Hey, Peg. I've seen
a lot of T-Ball, and
I've got a tip for you.

The aliens are really good
fielders. If you guys hit
the ball right at them,

they'll catch it. So try to hit
the ball between two of them.

- Thanks for the tip, Ramone.
- And for the hotdog.
- I do what I can.

- Okay, Mighty Nine, we need to
hit the ball between the Aliens.

- Between?
- Be teen?
- Take it, George.

- ♪ To hit the ball between
Don't hit right at a base! ♪

♪ Hit it in the middle and race,
race, race! With a hey Jonny
nonny doodle ho! ♪

- ♪ Doodle ho! ♪

- Way to go, big guy!

- Hit it between, Jesse.

Between, Mora.

Between, Tessa.
- Ruff!

- It was rough!
But you made it through!

- (announcer): The Mighty Nine
have scored their first run.

- Between!
- (announcer): That's
their second run.

- Now it's my turn
to hit between...

- (announcer): Third run
for the Mighty Nine.
- Time out!

- Alright, team!
We've scored three runs

and have three players on base.

- They're
doing it again!

- The last time the Aliens
whispered like that, things
started going well for them.

If things go well for them now,
they'll get Cat out, and we'll
lose the world series.

- I AM TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!
(whistling)

- Yo, pal. Count backwards
from five to calm down.

- Five, four, three, two, one.

- (chanting): The Aliens will
win! The Aliens will win!

- Uh... Could you predict
more quietly?!
- That's IT,

you genius batter!
We can predict!
- Huh?

- When the Aliens stopped
to talk before, they changed
where they were hitting.

So I predict they'll change
things again.

They've been staying
right on the bases.
I predict when you swing,

they'll move between bases.
- So I should not hit

between like we've been doing.
- That's right. Hit right
at a base.

- Play ball!

- The Aliens are moving BETWEEN
the bases, like I predicted.

Cat hit the ball right
at the base, like we planned.
And it's a hit!

- (announcer): The Mighty Nine
have scored their fourth
and fifth runs!

Here comes Peg!
- Wahoooo!

- It's six to six!
And here comes Cat...

- Whoa!

- He is...
- Safe!

- By a score of seven to six,
the Mighty Nine are T-Ball
champions!

(cheering)

- We did it!

Because we knew
all about predicting,

we won the world series.

- Math made me a T-Ball legend!

- And soooo...
- ♪ Problem solved
The problem is solved! ♪

♪ We solved the problem!
- Everything is awesome!
- Problem solved! ♪

- How did the Mighty Nine do it?
- Well...

♪ These cards on their backs
Have really cool facts ♪

♪ About where players hit
more and less ♪

- ♪ What happened before
Can happen some more ♪

- ♪ So we made
an educated guess! ♪

- ♪ When you need to know
Will it be high or low ♪

♪ That a ball might be hit,
thrown, or kicked! ♪

♪ Check what happened before
And make a good guess ♪
- Ruff!

- ♪ Oh yeah! Predict! ♪

- ♪ I predict he'll bite
- I predict you're right! ♪

- ♪ I predict that you'll fall
on your bum! ♪

♪ Predicting's a way

- ♪ A monster just might eat
that drum! ♪

- ♪ When you need to know
Where to hit, where to throw ♪

- ♪ Or which lollipop
will be licked! ♪

(laughing)

in the bathroom!

- They can't wait to hear
their favorite band...
- The Electric Eleven!

- Hellooooo, Chickens!
- CHEEEEEEEP! It's great
to be back on the Farm!

- ♪ Mah may mee moh mooo! ♪
- MOOOO!

- Cheep cheep cheep!
- The chickens are swarming
the stage!

- They're desperate
to be near the stars...
- To touch their instruments...

- Good thing Ramone
is their bodyguard.
- I do what I can.

- ♪ When we're going somewhere
- All eleven of us ♪

- ♪ To get to that somewhere
we'll...
- Ride our bus! ♪

- ♪ It's got our favorite treats
- And pillows
- Inside ♪

our favorite colors!
- She's such a sweet ride! ♪

♪ The traveling
can be tire-ing ♪

- ♪ But we won't fuss!
- If we're in our bus! ♪

- ♪ We're glad to ride
really far and wide!
- Relaxin' and a-practicin' ♪

- ♪ Cozy inside!
The band goes with our vehicle ♪

- ♪ Like minus goes with plus! ♪

- ♪ We looooove to riiiiide
our buuuuuus! ♪

- The chickens aren't cheering!
- Because they're... gone!

- A band with
no audience has a...

- Big problem!

- They're not in the coop.
- How do they all fit into that
tiny little thing anyway?

- They're not in the barn.
- Ooh-ooh!

I see the chickens
outside the bus!
- Uh, hello!

- The one where you're indoors
is INSIDE. The chickens
are INSIDE the bus!

- It's pretty much
the same, right?
- Not really, Viv.

Inside and outside are
opposites. That means they're
exactly TOTALLY different.

Like up and down.

- Or loud "COME OUT, CHICKENS!"

And soft "Come out, chickens"?!

- Anyway, the chickens
have been found, and so...

- ♪ Problem solved!
The problem is solved! ♪

- Where'd our bus go?
- There! In front of the barn!

- In front? Really?
- In front is here,
where we're standing.

When something's in back,
you say it's "behind".

- I think front and behind
are opposites too!

- I think you're right, Connie!
Just like outside and inside!

- Hey chickens, come outside
and get your chicken snacks.

- Here ya go, chickens!
- Handing snacks to one hundred
chickens one at a time

will take forever.
To get them out faster,

let's pass them chicken
snack packs. There are
ten snacks in every pack.

- ♪ Ten, twenty, thirty
- Forty, fifty ♪

- ♪ Sixty, seventy
- Eighty, ninety
- One hundred ♪

- Woohoo!
- We've got enough snacks here
for every chicken to have one.

Remember to keep the snacks
OUTSIDE the bus.

- So the chickens'll have to
come OUT and get the snacks...
- And we can get our bus back.

- Got it. No matter what, do not
let them bring the snacks--

inside?!
- Bye-bye!

- Without our bus, we have no
way of getting to concerts.

- With our favorite snacks.

- And games.

- And really comfy pillows!

- (all): We've got a...
REALLY BIG PROBLEM!

- So it looks like the chickens
are leaving that little coop
for good.

- I guess they got tired
of squeezing into it.

- Mm. Who can blame them?!
- They're driving off in the
Electric Eleven's bus...

- ...with the band
right BEHIND them.
- And right behind THEM:

us!
- Well, we are definitely
not in front!

- We're the opposite of
in front. We're behind!
- You got that right, girl!

- ♪ Slow down, chickens!
Give us back our bus! ♪

- ♪ Inside it's chickens!
- Outside it's us!
- No, no, chickens! ♪

- ♪ Don't eat everything you
find! It's chickens in front!
And us behind! ♪

- ♪ They're off to the races!
- Speeding round and round!
- Race flag souvenirs ♪

♪ Should slow the chickens down!
- We need one for every chicken.
- There's ten in every pack ♪

- ♪ Ten, twenty, thirty!
- Forty, fifty
- Sixty, seventy ♪

- ♪ Eighty, ninety
- One hundred! ♪

♪ We stopped 'em on the track!
- Now a race-flag tug of w*r
is going to begin! ♪

- ♪ Pull the chickens outside!
- Don't let them pull these in ♪

- ♪ Those little chicks
can really pull!
- But we can really grunt! ♪

(grunting)
(honking)

- ♪ They got the flags inside!
- We're back behind!
- They're back in front! ♪

- ♪ Slow down, chickens!
Give us back our bus! ♪

- ♪ Inside still chickens!
- Outside still us! ♪

- ♪ No, no, chickens!
- Don't eat the rind! ♪

- ♪ It's chickens in front!
- And us behind! ♪

- Well, not RIGHT behind.
- Bye-bye!

- And the chickens
are off the track...
- And on the run!

- Down there! In Verona!
- Romeo and Juliet!

- Watch out! In front of you!

- Not in front! Behind!
- Oh! I got confused.

- I've made that same mistake.
- Hm! Happens to everybody!

- Where'd their hats go?
- The bus is wearing them!

- It's bouncing away, to--

- There they are!
In Ancient Egypt!

- Cleopatra!
Watch out for that bus!

Go BEHIND!

- Yes! What she said! Behind!

- It's going up...
into the clouds!

- Our bus is inside
a Giant's shirt.
- And back outside.

- Inside a Giant's hat...
- And back outside.

- Inside the Giants'
laundry basket...

- And outside.

- I don't see it anywhere!
- The Electric Eleven's bus

is officially lost.
- Nooooo!

- ♪ Inside was all our treats! ♪

- ♪ And pillows!
- And games! ♪

- ♪ We long ♪

♪ To ride our bus! ♪

- ♪ Our bus... ♪

- Okay, band.
So maybe we don't have a bus.

- Or an audience.
- Or an audience. But look
at what we do have.

- A hog.

- A hog, yes, and talent

and passion. So we can
still rock, right?!

- I gots to tell ya!
- Alrighty!
- Let's do it!

- A one, two. A one
two three four...

♪♪♪
(honking)
- CHEEEEEEP! CHEEEEEEEP!

- Bus!
- Those chickens
can't stay away when we play!

(cheering)

- (all): Nooo! Yaaay!

Nooo!

Noooo!

- They'll never
give us back our bus.

We are--
- TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!

(whistling)

- Cat's right. We should count
backwards from five
to calm down.

- (all): Five, four, three,

two, one.

- That's it, you genius!

The chickens went totally crazy
for our instruments!
- Hm?

- Hey, chickens! Wanna come out
and play our instruments?
- Cheep cheep cheep cheep?

- The Electric Eleven will
personally carry you

to the stage.
- Cheep!

- To get 'em to the stage
quickly, let's carry
ten at a time.

- Ya can't carry ten chickens
on one hoof.

- Or paw!
- Or hand.

So let's take five on each hand.
- Or paw!

- Or hoof!
- As we carry them,
we'll count by fives.

- Yes! Great! How do we do that?
- Counting by fives is sorta
like counting by tens...

But when you're counting by
tens, everything ends in zero...

And when you're counting by
fives, one number ends in five,

the next in zero, the next
in five, the next in zero,

and like that. So instead
of ten twenty thirty...

Counting by fives goes
FIVE ten FIFTEEN twenty

TWENTY-FIVE thirty.
- Sounds like countin'
by fives to one hundred

will take longer
than counting by tens.
- But we'll get to one hundred

just the same.
- Math is getting us back

our bus!

- Five, ten, fifteen, twenty,
twenty-five, thirty...

- Thirty-five, forty.
- Forty-five, fifty.
- Fifty-five, sixty.

- ♪ Problem solved!
The problem is solved! ♪

- Sixty-five, seventy.
- Seventy-five, eighty.

- ♪ We solved the problem! ♪
- Eighty-five, ninety.
- ♪ So everything is awesome! ♪

- Ninety-five, one hundred!

- ♪ Problem solved! ♪

- Okay, chickens!
A one two three four!

- CHEEEEEEEPPP!

- Way to live your dream,
chickens!

- All right, chickens!
- Way to go for it!

- And so, the Electric Eleven
got their bus back!
- And got back on the road!

- We missed ya, big guy!

- And the one hundred chickens
squeezed back into their coop.

- That teeny weeny little thing!
- Those poor chickens.

- For the Neighbor Ladies
Network, this has been Viv--
- And Connie.

- So uh, why'd they say
our coop is little?
- I guess it just goes

to show ya...

♪ How the insides look
- You can't tell
from the cover ♪

- You can't tell the jelly ♪

♪ From looking at the jar
- You can't tell the insides ♪

♪ From what the outsides are!

help you get the cereal

If she's someone that you wind ♪

- ♪ They're very different
things!

- ♪ You wouldn't try to hula

judge your chickens

inside their coop! ♪
