- Hi, neighbor! Today,
O the Owl and I are pretending

to go on a big trolley trip.

Then we're making our own
puppets at the library.

And you're coming too!

a picnic on the beach!

- Hoo hoo! And we can pretend
that we go to a garden,

and pick fruits and veggies
to eat at our beach picnic.

- I'll make the beach!
- And I'll make the garden.

- Hmmm... where
can the beach be?

Here!

This is all the sand

and this is a picnic blanket.

Do you see anything else
we can use for our beach?

This bucket and shovel are good

for making sand castles
on the beach.

O! Is the garden ready?

- Yes, hoo hoo.
- Grr-ific!

Now we can go on
our trolley adventure!

- All aboard. Ding ding!

To the garden.
- To the beach. Oops.

(grunting)

- I think we have

we should go first on our trip?

- I'm drawing my garden

with lots of apples...

and cheese sandwiches.

- Just for pretend.

- And I'm drawing
my beach with sand,

and the picnic blanket,

and a BIG...

- A big sea creature?

- It's OK, he's friendly.

He likes cheese sandwiches.
- Phew!

- And here's the road

for Trolley to go on.

But where should we go next?

- Hmm... Oh! I know!

Maybe we'll go back outside
and see a rainbow?

- Oh, good idea, O!

Now we have a plan for our trip.

First we go to the garden...

then the beach...

and then maybe
we'll see a rainbow!

- First stop: the garden!

Ding ding!
- ♪♪ We're going to the garden ♪

♪ To pick some fruits
and vegetables ♪

and so does this carrot!

- Look! I found a golden pear!

in my picnic basket!

And a cheese sandwich.
- OK, we picked food

from the garden!
Now our plan says...

we go to the beach!
- All aboard. Ding ding!

- ♪ Won't you ride

Here we are at the beach!

- Hoo hoo.
- Thank you!

- Ahh. This beach
is nice, hoo hoo.

(giggling)

Ooh, this is fun!
Let's make a sand castle.

Scoop, scoop, scoop the sand.

- Here's some more sand.

Are you ready for our picnic?

I'm so hungry I could
eat a... a... a...

- Cheese sandwich?
- OK!

Yum, num, nummy num.

I see a GIANT sea creature!

- A GIANT sea creature?!

- It's OK. He's friendly.

That's silly!

- Hey, do you want
to make believe with me?

we could really meet
a very silly sea creature!

(gasping)

- Maybe we could make

They're all different colors.

Then orange... yellow...

When O and I had

- I wonder what they'll do now!

- What should we do now?
- Maybe we can make

a treasure hunt!
- That is perfect!

'Cause I have some
paper and crayons

and we can leave the maps out
and my dad will try

and figure out
what we're hiding.

- What a grr-ific idea!

Now to hide the treasures.
The seashells in the sand box,

the picture in the swing

and the heart
under the fire pit.

Now to make the map!

- Stairs...
- Oh, yeah.

- (both): And then...

- And then there's
a green slide here.

Hey, that's a good slide.

- Thanks. That looks like it.
- Yes, and then...

Yes. And then he's gonna walk

this way, right?

And then he goes
up to here, right?

- Yeah.
- And then he's gonna go around.

- We're ready!
- Where should we go first?

I'm at the library.

We're going to see
a puppet show today.

Gather 'round
for the puppet show.

- Hoo hoo! It's a crocodile!

It's a crocodile puppet show!

- Hello! I'm Crocky
the Crocodile!

- I've read that book!
- Then you must know

that I love to go
on lots of adventures!

- Hoo hoo, it's true.
He does! He does.

- Just like Tigey
the Adventure Tiger.

- Yes, just like Tigey
the Adventure Tiger.

One day, I went
exploring in a cave.

It was very dark.

- You weren't afraid, right?

- No, I wasn't.

And at the back of the cave,

do you know what we found?

- Another cave?
- No...

We found a lake!
Tigey and I went for a swim.

Like this! Splish,
splash, splish, splash.

- Splish, splash,
splish, splash.

- After our swim we got hungry.

And when I'm hungry,
do you know what I eat?

- Blueberries?
- Apples?

- Grilled cheese sandwiches
with the crusts cut off?

- Fish! Lots and lots of fish!

Are there any little fishies
out there for my lunch?

- No! Not here!
- No way, hoo hoo!

- Well then, I guess
it's time for me

to go and find some
lunch somewhere else!

- (various): Bye, Crocky!
(burbling sound)

- Now that you've
seen my puppet show,

it's time for you
to make puppets,

so you can put on
your own puppet show!

- Oh, goody-goody!
- Hoo-hooray!

Grab a sock to make a good
turtle puppet, hoo hoo!

- (Daniel and Elaina):
And... this sock!

I want the red sock!
- I need it!

- I need it! Grr.

(groaning)
- Hm.

This sounds like a problem.

- OK... what do we do first?

- Well, let's talk about
what kind of puppet show

you want to do.
- Hmm...

I want to do a puppet
show about a dragon!

Like the one Tigey
plays with. ROAR!

- And your dragon can fly
with Amelia the Astronaut!

Oh! I'll make an Amelia puppet!

- Aha, good plan!

Daniel, what do you want
your puppet to look like?

- Well, this dragon is green.

So instead of the red sock,

I should use a...

green sock!
- And Amelia is wearing

a gray space suit,

so I'll use a gray sock!

- Nifty galifty!

Now you can start
making your puppets.

- Grr-ific!
- All right, toots!

- But how am I going to make
a dragon with all of this stuff?

This is a problem.

♪ If there's a problem ♪

♪ Talk about it
and make a plan ♪

I need a plan to make my dragon.

Hmm...

I can use the red
buttons for dragon eyes

and make a mouth
with this marker

and use this green
cloth for the wings.

That's a good plan!

Glue these buttons on

to make two red eyes.

Orange mouth

with lots of dragon teeth.

Chomp, chomp, chomp.

(giggling)

And here are his wings

so he can fly high in the sky!

Fly, dragon! Fly!

I wish you were a real
dragon so we could play.

Hey...

do you want to
make believe with me?

Let's make believe

that we're playing
with a real dragon.

♪♪ I would love
to have a dragon pal ♪

♪ A giant, flying dragon pal ♪

♪ He could go anywhere with me ♪

♪ Except inside,
'cause he's too big ♪

♪ Wings to fly over trees
A long neck to play
catch with me ♪

♪ He can light a campfire
with his snout ♪

♪ But if he sneezes
you better watch out ♪

♪ I would love
to have a dragon pal ♪

- Zoom! I'm zooming up

near the stars!
- Hoo hoo!

Hi, Amelia.
I'm Ebenezer the Turtle.

And I go sooo slow.

(giggling)

- Look at all these
nifty galifty puppets.

What is your puppet show
going to be about?

- It's about Ebenezer

and he's sooo slow.

- No! It's about Amelia

and how she's zooming
and zooming all around!

- No, no! It's about my dragon

and he says ROAR, ROAR!

- My, my, my. It sounds like
you all have different ideas

for the puppet show.
- But what idea should we do?

- This is a problem, hoo hoo.

- ♪ If there's a problem,
talk about it and make a plan ♪

- Good thinking, Daniel.
Why don't you all talk

and make a plan
for your puppet show?

(all assenting)
- Maybe the plan could be

that Amelia zooms into space,

'cause she likes
to go to the moon.

- Oh, and she could
meet Dragon in space,

and, um, he could give
her a ride to the moon.

- And maybe when
they go to the moon,

they meet Ebenezer there,
and they all have a party.

- I like that plan!
- Me too!

OK, we have our plan.

- Wonderful. I'm proud of you.

Everyone, let's start
the puppet show!

- Ooh! Don't start without me!

- (Elaina): Presenting...

the story of
Ebenezer the Turtle...

- I go sooo slow.

- ...and Amelia the astronaut.

I'm exploring in space.

And the big, green dragon!

- ROAR!
(chuckling)

- One day, Amelia the Astronaut

was flying through space.

I love to zoom through space!

- Come take a ride
on me, Amelia.

I'm a friendly dragon!

How are you?

- So Amelia flew on the dragon

all the way to the moon!

- And they met Ebenezer
the turtle there.

I live on the moon now.

- They became great friends

and then they had a party.

- And they all sang a song!

♪ Twinkle, twinkle,
little star ♪

- ♪ Mary had a little lamb ♪
- ♪ Hickory, dickory dock ♪

- Uh-oh. We're all
singing different songs!

- We need to sing the SAME song!

- And we have to hurry,
everyone is waiting!

- What do we do, hoo hoo?

- ♪ If there's a problem,
talk about it and make a plan ♪

- Well, let's talk about what
kind of song we want to sing.

- (whispering):
OK, I have an idea.

- And so,

they all sang
a song... together.

- ♪♪ It's a beautiful day
to roar today ♪

- ♪ Let's zoom to the moon

and it looks great ♪

and planned out what we'd sing ♪

It really helped that we had

with one of our neighbors!

- Hi, my name is Ryan
and I'm at the library

and I'm gonna see
how they make puppets!

Hi, Carol!
- Hi, Ryan! Do you wanna

learn how to make a puppet?
- Yeah!

- So, Ryan, I brought a bunch
of shapes with me today.

Let's look for bodies and
wings first. What do you think?

And then we can figure out legs.

Which one looks most like
the shape that you want?

- I feel like this one
looks like a flamingo.

Flamingos have long beaks.
- I have a whole bunch

of different colors that you
can pick from for your bird.

- I think maybe the blue
would be good for the wings

and then I could make it pink.

- What I'm gonna ask you
to do is rip some strips.

Perfect. And so
we ripped our strips.

Now we're gonna
dip our finger tips;

I dip it in the paste

and I touch a piece
of paper like this

and what we do is just
cover the whole puppet.

So it's rip strips,
dip your finger tips,

slip your strips,
skip the drips.

So we're gonna do something
called itty-bitty dip,

with one finger tip. Yeah.

And then just rub over it
so it gets nice and smooth.

Touch that red, yeah,
put it where you want it.

Just take a look at it
from every direction

and decide if there's one
last finishing touch I wanna do

or if I feel happy
with the way it looks.

- I feel happy

- Put your stick in.
