Today, it's beach day at school!

And then, Miss Elaina and I

are going to fly a
kite with her dad!

It's gonna be grrrific!

our classroom

look like a beach party.

Miss Elaina: Beach party!
(giggle)

Prince Wednesday: Daniel,
look at my royally

beachy beach ball.
(giggle)

Daniel: Oooh! I like the colors!

Prince Wednesday: Thanks!

Daniel: Hmm...

Our beach needs some more sand,

Not real sand.
I'm painting the sand!

(giggles)

Sandy sandy beach.

Now some water...

Splish Splash Splish splash.

And we need some waves...

Ooh! Here comes
a really big wave!

(giggle)

Daniel: There! The sand
and water are done!

We need sun at the warm beach.

I'll need yellow
paint for the sun.

Hmm, Prince Wednesday,
have you seen the yellow...

(gasp!) The paint!

Prince Wednesday: Oh no!

I spilled it all over my pants

and all over the floor!

What should I do?

Daniel: I don't know.

Prince Wednesday:
Maybe...I can fix it myself.

Oh no!

Ah, oh!

The mess is getting messier!

Teacher Harriet: How's the
painting coming along?

Prince Wednesday: Um...
Daniel: Uh...

Teacher Harriet: Hmm. Did
something happen over here?

extra clothes in your cubbies,

just in case an
accident happens.

I'll go get them.

Daniel: Aren't you glad
you told Teacher Harriet?

Prince Wednesday: Yeah,
that makes me feel better.

Teacher Harriet: Here
are your clean clothes.

You can go change,
and when you come back,

we'll clean up
the paint together.

Prince Wednesday:
Thanks, Teacher Harriet.

Daniel: Teacher Harriet?

May I please have
more yellow paint?

Teacher Harriet: Sure, Daniel.

Daniel: I want to paint
a big sunshine for the beach!

Teacher Harriet: Here you go.

Daniel: Thank you!

Now I can paint
my yellow sunshine!

here at the beach!

Teacher Harriet:

Hmm....Let's keep the paint away

from the edge of table,

so we don't have another oopsie.

Daniel: Ok.

Prince Wednesday: Now it's
time to finish painting

my boop-she-boop-she-beach ball.

(giggling)

Wavey, waaaave!

(giggles)

I wish I was playing
in the waves right now!

Heyyyy...

Do you want to
make-believe with me?

Let's make-believe that
we're surfing in the ocean!

Miss Elaina: Wow!

Daniel: Ooh.

Look at that palm tree!

Miss Elaina: (giggles) We made
one boomerific palm tree!

Daniel: You made that?

Katerina: Mhmm, with
Teacher Harriet, meow meow.

I painted the blue leaf.

Daniel: Oooooh....

Miss Elaina: And I
made the orange one!

It glitters,

like a mermaid's tail!

I'm a mermaid! (giggle)

Katerina: Me too, meow meow!

Miss Elaina: (giggles)

Daniel: And this is
my pretend sand castle!

The biggest one on the beach.

Katerina: Big enough
for two Mermaids?

(giggle)

Daniel: Sure!

Miss Elaina: Swish, swish.

Whoa, the sun is so bright!

I need some sunglasses.

Katerina: Ooh!
And I need a hat meow meow.

Daniel: There!
Sandcastle, beach towel...

I want to bring something
else to our beach.

Hmm...

We should have some coconuts
to put under the tree!

♪ (soft playful music) ♪

Daniel: Ooh! This
could be a coconut!

(gasp) There are more!



There! Got my coconuts.

(soft playful music)

Lots of them!

Gotta get all these
coconuts to the palm tree..

Hmm, hmm..

Oops!

Hmm, oh no! No, no no!

(Gasp!)

I broke the palm tree!

And...and I don't
know how to fix it.

Daniel: Um... Teacher Harriet?

I knocked over the palm tree...

Miss Elaina/Katerina: Uh oh!

Daniel: I didn't mean to.

It was an accident...

Are you mad?

Teacher Harriet:

mean to knock it over.

Daniel: Can we fix it?

Teacher Harriet: I think we can.

Miss Elaina's sparkly
leaf fell off.

Maybe some tape will help.

Teacher Harriet.

Miss Elaina: Yes!
You fixed the tree!

Let's get the coconuts.

I'll only carry a

Teacher Harriet: It's

Katerina: Oh, look at the beach!
Prince Wednesday: Beach day!

Daniel: Look! I found
another coconut!

I'm glad I told Teacher Harriet
after I knocked over the tree.

She helped me fix it.

When accidents

Daniel: Let's go
see some neighbors!



Iker and his friend
Tom are building a kite.

Tom: Hi Iker!
Iker: Hi!

Tom: How are you doing?
Iker: Good.

Tom: So, you know what this is?

Iker: Garbage bag.

Tom: We're going to turn
this garbage bag into...

Tom/Iker: Into a kite!



Tom: Ok, I gonna put
this right on the edge.

Can you hold that end?
Iker: Yes.

Tom: The next piece is
going to be the keel.

Iker: Hey Tom, what
does a keel do?

Tom: A keel is like something
that makes the kite fly steady

so it doesn't wobble
all over the place.

So now, Iker, I'm
going to use my tape

and I'm going to
tape the keel on.

Push it down.

Now we're ready for these.
Do you know what these are?

Iker: Sticks.

Tom: On a kite, we
call them spars.

Iker: Oooh.

Tom: Okay, Iker, you
want to press down

the last piece of tape?

Tom: Pick what
color tail you want.

Iker: I want that one.

Tom: One on each side?
Iker: Yes.

Tom: You think it
looks like a kite?
Iker: Yes.

Tom: You ready to fly it?
Iker: Yes!

Tom: Okay, three, two, one..

It's your kite,
let out some line.

Tom: Look how neat it's flying!

It's really up there.

You're doing good! Alright!



That's your kite,
you built that!



Daniel: That
was so much fun!

Daniel: Hi Neighbor!
It's me, Daniel Tiger!

We're playing outside
at Miss Elaina's house!

Miss Elaina: I'm
almost ready, Daniel!

Just...

need...

to find...

my mitten.

Yes!

Music Man Stan: (gasp)
Ohh, would you look at this!

Daniel: What is
that, Music Man Stan?

Stan: (Laughs)
It's my old kite,

from when I was a little boy.

I thought I'd lost it!

Miss Elaina: This was yours?

I like the shiny paper.

Daniel: Does it fly?

Stan: I don't know.
Whatdya say we try it out?

Daniel: Tigertastic!

Miss Elaina: Boomerific idea!

How does it work, Daddy?

Stan: We hold this
string here...

And the wind should
help lift it up...

up...

Daniel: Up and awaaaaaay!

Stan: (chuckles) Heyy,
look at that, it's working!

Miss Elaina: Wooooow!

It's so shimmery.

Stan: Here, why don't
you two give it a try?

Daniel: Look at it go!

Stan: Hold on tight...

Miss Elaina: Woooah!

Stan: Let the string
out little by little.

Miss Elaina: We're doing it,
we're doing it we're doing it!

Daniel: (Giggles)

Stan: You got it!

Now, you two keep on
flying that kite,

while I clean things up here.

I'll be right inside
if you need me.

Miss Elaina: Ok, Daddy.

Stan: Whoaaa, look at that kite!

(kids laughing)

Daniel/Elaina: It's flying! It's
flying! It's whoosh! (giggling)

Miss Elaina: Go kite go!

Yay!

(giggles)

Daniel: (giggles)

Whoa. It's really
wooooshing now!

Miss Elaina: Whoa...nooo! Whoa!

Stay up there, kite!

Daniel: Whoops!

Miss Elaina: No! No! No!
Daniel: Grrrr!

Miss Elaina: Oh no,
my daddy's kite.

Daniel: It's...broken.

How would you feel if you broke
something that wasn't yours?

I feel bad.

Miss Elaina: I feel bad too.

What should we do, Daniel?

Stan: Now, how's that
old kite doing?

Did you get it to go any higher?

Daniel: Well, Uhm...
Elaina: Uhhh...

Stan: Is something wrong?

Daniel: It...
It was an accident.

Stan: Accidents

Stan: Noo, I'm

This happens
sometimes with kites.

Stan: I know you and Daniel
didn't mean for it to break.

That's why it's
called an 'accident'.

Miss Elaina: Phew, telling
you made me feel better.

Daniel: I
feel better, too.

But, I wish we could
keep flying the kite.

Miss Elaina: Yeah, me too.

Stan: Ah, let's see what
we can do about that.

Miss Elaina: Ok!

Stan: Alright!

Miss Elaina: Do you
think you can fix it?

Stan: You know, some
accidents we can fix

but some we can't.

We won't be able
to fix this kite.

Miss Elaina: Oh no...

Stan: But... We can make...

a new one!

Miss Elaina: Really?
Stan: Uh-huh.

We can use what we've
got right here...

and you can decorate
it however you'd like.

Daniel: Grrific!

Stan: See?

Daniel: Heyyy, that kind
of looks like a little fish!

Miss Elaina: It does
look like a little fish!

Daniel: What if...

We use some of this gold
paper to make it a gold fish?

Stan: I like that idea.

Miss Elaina: Boomerific
idea, Daniel!

Daniel: Then a little bit of
your old kite can still fly.

Stan: Aw, that's
music to my ears!



Daniel: Right there...

put that one there...

Hmmmm.

I can put this on....

Miss Elaina: (Humming)

Daniel: There! Glub glub!

(giggles)

Miss Elaina: How about
some fins for the fish?

Purply!

Daniel: Ooh,
purply murply! (giggles)

Miss Elaina: I can't
wait to see our fish fly.

Blub blub! (giggle)

I'm a flying fish!

Daniel: (giggle)

Insted of swimming
down in the water,

he will swimm up in the sky.

Daniel: Fly fishy flyyyy!

Stan: (laughs) Look at it go!

Daniel: Woo hoo! It's so high!

Miss Elaina: Fly, fly!

get back here fish!

Daniel: Woooah!
It's getting away!

Miss Elaina: Daddy?!

Stan: Ah, let me help.
