CHRIS:
We're here adventuring
around the world,

across a planet prowled
by all kinds of predators.

Hey, it's us
the Kratt Brothers.

I'm Chris.

I'm Martin and we're on
the lookout for top predators.

Every habitat has its
top predator.

On the African savannah,
it's the lion.

Lions are a big cat

that can hunt any animal
that's out here.

CHRIS:
Jaguars in
the South American rainforest.

The jaguar's spotted pattern
helps it surprise any prey

it chooses.

MARTIN:
The biggest of the big cats
is the Siberian tiger

that prowls the snowy habitats
in Russia and China.

That's a lot of cats.

How about Komodo dragons
of Komodo Island?

The Komodo dragon is the biggest
lizard on the planet

and a power packed predator.

Or bears of Alaska.

The brown bear
is one powerful creature.

It takes a lot to
stand up to this creature power.

And crocodiles
are the top predators

of a lot of fresh water
around the world.

A predator here since
the day of the dinosaurs.

And of course, wolves.

(Howling)

CHRIS:
So wolves are top predators
here on land.

But have you ever heard
of the wolves of the sea?

The k*ller whale,
also known as orca.

Now imagine if we had the
creature powers

of the top predator
of the oceans.

over species of shark.

the bull sharks are one
of two shark species

to swim up fresh water rivers.

And they can survive in fresh
water forever.

Although, they do have to go
back to salt water eventually,

since most of their prey

k*lled a human in the wild.

They were called k*ller whales

because they were such fierce
hunters of sea creatures.

BOTH:
Ooh!

MARTIN:
Hey, a tuna.

But that's lunch
for our orca calf.

CHRIS:
Oh-ho, and she's going after it.

Whoa, but somebody
else sees lunch!

A giant squid!

(Gasping)

MARTIN:
Wait, doesn't anything see this?

We've got to help her.

What sea creature powers
do we have?

MARTIN:
Walrus

CHRIS:
Orcas eat those.

MARTIN:
Octopus.

CHRIS:
Orcas eat those too.

MARTIN:
Polar bear.

And I think orcas
can eat those.

Hey, maybe the orca can take
care of themselves.

Look!
(Orca song sounding)

CHRIS:
They're sending out a message.
Talking to each other.

MARTIN:
They're attacking the squid!

CHRIS:
Oh, no! The calf!

MARTIN:
Whoa!

They've turned the table
on the squid.

MARTIN:
Orcas are masters of teamwork.

CHRIS:
Oh-ho, they are the wolves
of the sea.

MARTIN:
And the giant squid that tried
to eat the baby orca

is now orca lunch.

KOKI:
Wow.

Running all that chatter
through the Dolphin Decoder

has done the trick.

Yeah, and now it's ready
for you guys to speak

with the largest dolphin
of all, the orca!

Energize and zap it!

BOTH:
The Dolphin Decoder.

Wild orcas
have never att*cked a human.

And definitely not a human
that speaks orca.

CHRIS:
Hey, just wanted to say,

really impressive
how you dealt with that squid.

(Orca song sounding)

As you can see we are
just feeble humans.

CHRIS:
Feeble humans?

MARTIN:
Yeah I don't want them
to be afraid of me.

CHRIS:
Uh... okay.

Don't think we have to worry
about that.

Just keep talking, so we can get
close to the baby orca.

So nice weather today.
Wet and salty.

(Orca song sounding)

So, I guess that was squid for
breakfast, what's for lunch?

(Orca song sounding)

Hey, here comes
the baby orca.

Ooh.
(Chuckling)

Friendly, huh?
Whoa.

Swirly.

(Gasping)
Your name is Swirly.

(Orca song sounding)

I'm not sure exactly,
but I think she likes it.

MARTIN:
Whoa, ho!

CHRIS:

MARTIN:
Swirly!

CHRIS:
Oh, this is fun.

Swirly!

AVIVA:
Hey guys, okay, so just like I
modified the Dolphin Decoder

to orca based
on your observations,

I've now modified the dolphin
power suit programming

for the largest dolphin.

I now present:
the Orca Power Discs!

(Giggling)

Heads up, Jimmy.

Orca Power Discs flying in.

Energize.
And zap it!

BOTH:
Yes!

Swirly!
Hey!

MARTIN:
Very funny.

CHRIS:
Ha-ha, Swirly!

Now give us back
our Orca Power Discs.

(Orca song sounding)

(Chuckling)
She wants us to come
and get them.

Hey, wait!
Aw, come on.

Quit joking with us.

CHRIS:
Hey, come back.

Woo-hoo!

(Blubbering)

What a joker.

Hey, maybe we could play a joke
on Swirly?

Yeah?

What's an orca's favorite food?

I don't know... tuna?

Hey look, tuna!

(Orca song sounding)

Oh-ho.
It worked, bro.

CHRIS:
Tell me about it.

Heh, heh...
Just kidding.

(Orca song sounding)

MARTIN:
Hey you know how sometimes
the old males

of a creature group stay on
the edge of the group?

Well maybe we should look
outside the pod

for Old Shark Tooth.

Old Shark Tooth?

You named an orca
we didn't meet yet?

Well, yeah.
This orca's a legend.

Well then, we'll go out to
the perimeter

and get a good look at him.

MARTIN:
And maybe the best way to find

an to find
an old shark-eating orca

is to be an orca!

I think we
can handle that.

BOTH:
Activate Orca Powers!

(Beeping)

Yeah!

Hey!

Ooh, check out
these orca powers!

Tail fin turbo!

MARTIN:
Woo-hoo!

CHRIS:

AVIVA, KOKI AND JIMMY:
Wow!

All right!

CHRIS:
Ha-ha!

(Laughing)

CHRIS:
Oh, yeah!

Whoo!

Yes!

KOKI:
Whoa!

(Spitting)

AVIVA:
That was one big splash.

KOKI:
Yeah, we're soaked.

Look!

Shark!

Ah! Shark!

MARTIN AND CHRIS:
Huh?

MARTIN:
Coming in fast.

Uh-oh. Small orcas can be prey
for big great white sharks.

And uh, Chris, a little news
update for you.

We're the same size
as Swirly.

Uh, I know.
We're all shark bait!

But we've got to protect
Swirly first!

Go Swirly go!

Chris, get her out of here!
(Inhaling)

What?

That's a great white shark.

Whoa!

Oh!

(Zapping)
Oh no, my Creature Power Vest.

Huh?

MARTIN:
I'm not really an orca calf.

Ah! Wah!
Chris, a little help!

CHRIS:

MARTIN:
Ah! Can't we talk this out?

CHRIS:

Agh! Gotcha!
(Zapping)

BOTH:

CHRIS:

MARTIN:

BOTH:
Awesome orca!

Uh, Martin?

There's something wrong with
your Creature Power Suit.

(Orca song sounding
and zapping)

Ah!

What?

Whoa!

Oh! Ah!

(Beeping)

Ooh, that is a very unfortunate
Creature Power Suit malfunction.

Yeah, I'm in a Shark Power Suit
in front of a shark eating orca.

Great.

Quick send Swirly over.

I've got to reactivate
orca powers.

I took Swirly
back to her mom!

Touch Old Shark Tooth
and reactivate.

What are you kidding me?
Ah!

(Chuckling nervously)

Uh, hello, Sir.
Oh great orca ruler of the seas.

(Orca song sounding)

What is your favorite type
of shark to eat?

Nice one, bro.

Distract him with your command
of the orca language

while I...
reactivate orca powers!

(Zapping)

Yeah.
So, we all good?

(Orca song sounding)

I think he thinks
we're a little odd.

But hey, when we are in our
Orca Power Suits...

And speaking orca.

He accepts us
as one of the pod.

CHRIS:
And we can take
a look at this guy.

Whoa, he's as big
as they get.

The size of a school bus.

MARTIN:
And as old as they get.

I'd say almost years old.

And tough too.
Look at the scars.

And check out
that dorsal fin.

A shark took a bite
out of it.

Incoming message!

(Orca song sounding)

It's saying
"Help! Shark!"

It's Swirly.
She's in trouble.

Come on, Old Shark Tooth.
Swirly needs our help.

(Orca song sounding)

CHRIS:
There she is.

BOTH:
To the baby orca rescue!

Whoa!

You okay, Swirly?

(Orca song sounding)

Yeah, I know.
That was pretty awesome.

Calling all sharks.

Don't mess with orcas.

Uh, Chris, I don't think
sharks speak orca.

Yeah, but you know, we should
invent an interspecies decoder.

BOTH:
Oof!

Wahoo!

Living free
and in the wild!

I think you've made friends
with Old Shark Tooth.

Yeah, it helps when you speak
some orca.

Get ready
for an orca cannonball!

(Groaning)

(Laughing)

MARTIN:
Way to go, Old Shark Tooth.

And the map was right.

He does have a sweet tooth
for sharks.

Tell me about it.
We saw him eat two!

Orcas are the most powerful
predators of the sea!

We're hanging out
with an Arctic wolf.

What makes wolves such super
predators is, for one,

they have really strong jaws
and a great set of teeth.

They're amazing runners with
incredible speed and stamina.

(Howling)

Wolves are
cooperative hunters.

They howl to communicate
with the pack

and they work together
and by being a team,

they can take down
all sorts of prey.

(Howling)

And when wolves howl,
the prey pay attention.

CHRIS:
Wolves hunt large prey animals.

Like bison on the Prairies.

Deer are another common prey

that have to stay
on high alert for wolves.

And caribou and musk ox are
hunted by wolves

in the high Arctic.

MARTIN:
Bears are predators themselves,

but a mother bear will be
on the lookout for wolves.

And she has the power
to protect her cubs.

CHRIS:
All big predators
start out small.

Like these orphan black bear
cubs we're hanging out with now.

These Black bear cubs are going
to turn into great predators.

Now Black bears probably aren't
the top predator--

well especially they're not

when there are
brown bears around.

But black bears are tough.
They're strong.

They've got
a lot of creature powers

and they could probably
hold their own--

a big male black bear anyway,

could hold his own against
a mountain lion.

CHRIS:
Yeah.

A full grown black bear can even
flip over this huge rock.

You think
you can flip it over?

Well I think you could when
you're full grown.

Bears are strong.

It's one of their top creature
powers and the reason

a bear would flip over a rock
like this

is to get to the grubs,
insects ant larvae,

whatever it can find underneath.

Ah, pretty cool,
you're exploring huh?

Him too.

I could watch
these guys all day.

CHRIS:
So wherever you explore
in the creature world,

you're going to find
a top predator.

And they always have some
special creature power

that put them on top.

CHRIS:
Keep on creature adventuring!

We'll see you
on the creature trail!
