**Series Finale**

First, I need to gather enough troops willing to make a move on Pamela.

Previously on "The Walking Dead..."

None of us are safe as long as she's still breathing.

You know we're gonna get our daughter back, right?

- [Screams]
- But you know what we gotta do.

[Whimpering] Okay.

[Woman screams]

[Indistinct shouting]

No!

Vickers: They are climbing the walls.

They're flooding in.

The dead are in the Commonwealth, Governor.

Pamela: Divert the swarm towards the lower wards.

That is a death sentence.

[Racing footsteps, panting]

Help me!

Help!

[Distorted] You'll be okay...

[Shouts indistinctly]

[Walker growling]

[Grunts, walkers growling]

[Growling]

[Theme music playing]

[g*nshots, growling]

Ezekiel: Come on, move! Move!

[Screaming]

Jules! [Screams]

You're gonna be okay.
You're gonna be okay.

Help! Help!

No! No!

No-o-o!

- Help!
- Jules!

Come on! Let's get the hell outta here!

No! No!

We gotta get to the hospital!

This way!

Through the fence! Move!

Let's go! Let's go! Come on!

Go! Go!

[Moaning]

Hey. It's me.

[Grunts]

Easy.

All right, we... we...

[Sobbing]

- I'm fine.
- Daryl, no, you're not.

She's lost a lot of blood.

[Sobbing continues]

- Come on. Come on.
- You're okay.

- It's okay, it's okay.
- Stay with us.

Stay with us.

Come on.

All the doctors are gone and the nurses and the medicine.

- Where?
- We heard Pamela took everything and she's holed up in her gated community, and she left the rest of the Commonwealth to fend for itself.

Well, that's where we go.

There's too many troopers.

Hoping to find somebody to get us in without a fight.

What about Mercer? He knows people on the inside.

Yeah, Max thinks so.
There's a team after him.

Some of the others are looking for the kids, and they're gonna meet us back here.

- So we just wait?
- No, we're gonna take care

of her and you.

Woman: Come on. Stay with us.

[Choked sobs]

Wait, wait. He's trying to say something.

What is it?

[Shallow breathing, sobbing]

What? What? This?

[Tearful laugh]

We keep the music alive, okay?

Always.

Always. I promise you.

For everyone.

[Weakly] Promise me.

Promise.

Yeah! Yeah!

I love you.

We love you so much.

[All sobbing]

Wait.

[Wailing]

I'm gonna give her blood.

You know how to do this?

Yeah, but your types have to match.

Mine goes with anybody.

Merle used to make me sell it when I was a kid for money.

There you go.

[Clattering]

I'm gonna sweep the hospital, make sure the others are okay.

- We're coming, too.
- You good?

[Walker growling]

[Growling]

[Machine g*nf*re]

[Squelching]

Woman: Baby, get back!
And cover your head!

I'm clear!

Mike?! [Sobbing]

I'm here. I'm here.

Let's load it up, quickly.

Just set it inside.

One more and we're out.

Watch your head.

Hey.

That thing for Pamela?

Woman: This one's ready for loading.

We almost got it. Go.

Offer still stands, Maggie.

I'm good.

We gotta go.

Wait!

Thank God!

You all right?

Where's Jerry, Elijah?

Still out there.

- God. You all right?
- Yeah, I'm okay.

- What happened?
- We'll fill you in on the way.

Woman: We gotta get to the hospital.

[Munching]

Move! Move!

Coco.

[Growling]

[Child wailing]

[Blades sticking]

[Wailing, walker growling]

[Wailing]

Rosita!

Hey. Hey. Shh. Shh.

Hey. It's okay.

Man: We got Mercer.
Any updates on the kids?

We found them.

Oh, thank God. We'll see you at the hospital.

It's okay.

[Shallow breathing]

What's happening?

Shh.

What's happening? Where am I?

Shh. It's okay. You're at the hospital.

Why?

Why?

Am I gonna die?

No, no.

You're not gonna die.

Feels like... It feels like I'm gonna die.

I can't. Mom's gonna find Dad, and we're gonna be together.

We're all gonna be together.

But right now, it just... It feels like...

Shh. You're not gonna die.

You're fine. You're fine.

She told me this thing she told Dad.

She said, "We're the ones..."

Jude. Jude.

Come on, wake up. Come on, girl.

Jude!

Walkers breached. We gotta go.

I can't. I can't go.

Woman: Carol, do you copy?!

Jude. Jude, come on. Wake up.

Rosita, where are you?

We're in the alley behind... Behind the hospital.

We went through a horde of walkers.

Oh, my God. Our ride is f*cked!

We gotta go.

[Walkers growling nearby]

- Alright.
- Okay.

You're gonna be okay, Jude.

[Woman screaming]

Hang on! Kelly!

[Screaming]

[Glass cracking]

- We gotta move! Run!
- Just go!

Go! Run!

- Get behind me!
- Someone radio the others.

Tell them the hospital's been breached.

On it. The hospital's breached.

- We're leaving out the back.
- Come on, this way.

Go, go, go!

We're blocked!

[Growling]

- Eugene!
- Back to back.

We gotta find a way out.

Eugene! Up the pipe! Go!

You first!

Damn it, Eugene!

No!

I'm right behind you!

Come on! Come on!

Come on! Come on!

Don't let go! Come on!

Reach up!

Rosita!

Come on, jump for it!

Come on!

Come on, come on. Come here.

- How much longer?
- Soon.

Saw people on the higher floors and rooftops begging for help.

Wanted to make sure Lydia was safe first.

You did the right thing.

[Woman screaming in distance]

We could do more.

Then let's do more.

But we take care of Judith first.

We're all set, sir.

We've got everyone in the back, no one to check.

Doctors set up a safe house, but we have to hurry.

All right, let's go!

We gotta get Judith to Tomi.

[Clamoring]

You can put her down here.

Okay.

She's in a fragile state.

It's good you gave her blood.

I'll do what I can. Ezekiel.

- On it.
- Thank you.

- Prep the IV.
- Yeah.

Ready tape.

We need to clear the room.

We'll get you when she's stable.

You'll feel it sometimes.

Like it's still there.

You okay?

Yeah.

Just...

Luke and Jules...

I know.

It's the same with Elijah, I know it.

That's just what happens.

You know, people die.

Cities fall.

And things just don't work out.

People tell me they do, but they don't.

Jerry's not coming back, either, is he?

I haven't given up hope.

We'll find them, both of them.

Have you seen Negan?

Not for a while. Is everything okay?

I'm sorry. Uh, maybe. Thanks.

[Groans]

Hey!

- Give me that r*fle.
- Whoa, whoa.

Before you pop off...

You were going after Pamela?

Yeah. Look, what's it matter as long as it gets done?

Why can't you just leave me alone?

- What is your angle?
- Angle?

There is no g*dd*mn angle, Maggie.

There's no angle.

I am doing this for you.

You take Pammy out with this thing, hell is gonna rain down on you.

And you ain't gonna come back.

And you have to come back.

So I'm gonna do it.

Last night, when I was down on my knees, about to lose my wife, my...

I was about to lose everything.

And I finally understood what you must've felt.

Look, I...

I know that I probably owe you more than this, but...

I am so sorry... for what I took from you... and what I took from your son.

Comin'?

[Clears throat]

It's been a long and taxing day.

I can take the little one off your hands for a spell, if you'd like.

No, it's okay, Eugene.

I just want to soak her up, you know?

I bet you can't wait for summer.

You can finally take her to swim at Oceanside.

I have, uh...

Well, it was gonna be a surprise.

But in all my research on child-rearing,

I stumbled upon a great many scientific essay that outlined the benefits of teaching infants to swim.

It improves cognitive function, builds muscle, and, uh... confidence.

Not that there will be any deficit in this tyke since you have it in spades.

Which means it's in her, too.

I can't wait for summer.

Can you?

Rosita, when you fell...

D...

Where?

- C-can we...
- No.

- H...
- Stop. It's okay.

No crying, Eugene.

Okay? I don't want them to know yet.

I want you to pull your sh*t together, okay?

- I can't.
- You can.

Because I'm still right here.

And you're gonna be...

You're gonna be fine.

I just love you so much.

I love you.

- Hey.
- Hey.

- You all right?
- Yeah.

Yeah, completely fine.

[Soft groan]

Hey.

Hey, you.

Hey, Lil' Asskicker.

Hey, Big Asskicker.

Damn straight.

How you feel?

Not great.

But I'm fine, like you promised.

What I said about Mom and Dad...

Is that true?

It's why she never came back.

Sorry I didn't tell you before.

Scared that you would leave, too.

I'm right here.

- Man: Off the wall!

The truck is gassed up with some reserves in the rear.

It's enough to get you home.

We can sneak you out the back.

This isn't your fight.

- These aren't your people.
- Yes, they are.

And so are you.

You may not think this place is worth saving, and I get that, given how they treated us.

But it's worth it to me.

The people are worth it, and I'm not gonna allow them to fall without a fight.

Not today.

I'm with you.

Who else?

Yeah.

We can do more than just save ourselves.

We need to.

- I'm in.
- I'm with you.

- I got you.
- I'm in. - Me too.

[All shouting]

- General.
- Stop!

We're opening the gate and letting these people in.

I'll k*ll anyone who tries to stop me.

Stop or we will be forced to sh**t you.

We'll fire back.

sh**t him!

Stop!

What the hell you doing?

We all deserve better than this.

You built this place to be like the old world.

That was the f*ckin' problem.

If I open the gates, the dead will get in, not just the living.

If you don't, you're gonna lose everything anyway.

We got one enemy.

We ain't the walkin' dead.

[Herd growling]

Lower your weapons.

Lower your weapons!

He's right!

Give the priest the key.

On your command, General Mercer.

Pamela Milton, you're under arrest for high crimes against the people of this Commonwealth.

Cuff her.

Pamela's getting arrested.

Well... person like that, it's worse than death.

[Banging]

[Crowd shouting]

Close the gates now!

Lydia! You're okay.

I thought I'd never see you again.

Nabila!

Nabila!

- Where's my family?
- They're safe.

They're safe in Alexandria.

Then we have to get back out there.

- People need our help.
- We will.

Come with me.

Come on.

This way.

Girl: We have to help them, Governor!

All the people that are still out there!

It's not too late! It's never too late!

[g*nsh*t]

Maggie: Now we take this place back.

Mercer: The variants are too dangerous to just lead away, so here's the new plan.

[Indistinct shouting, herd growling]

First, we need to get a vehicle out of the Estates.

Clear a path, but do not engage the rotters more than absolutely necessary.

Keep going!

Push!

Hold the line!

Mercer: The vehicle's out the back gate.

We're on our way to the town square.

Let us know when we're clear.

We diverted the sickos. It's as clear as it's gonna get.

- Go! Go!
- Mercer: Copy that!

We're on our way to the fuel depot!

- Truck's coming!
- Keep holding!

Keep holding! Don't let them through!

Jerry, report back when you're at the depot.

We just pulled up. Fuel's a go.

Woman: Copy. We've got fuses running to the private sewers under the Estates, and we'll finish wiring the rest once you get the fuel back. In the meantime, we'll start the PA system to draw all the rotters to the Estates.
