Something horrible happened to us,

strong and just move on.

stop normalizing Black trauma

and start normalizing self-care.

the time to heal,

canceling all classes,

practices, and games
scheduled for tomorrow.

we're supposed to be relaxing,

know what we want and we're
willing to sacrifice to get it.

All day, everyone's been
telling me, just relax,

just let go and just be, and I can't.

I'm gonna regret asking this, but why?

When I let go, I think about that day

and how I almost lost everything.

The boundaries I put up fall to
pieces, and I can't have that.

If I let everything
out, then I don't know

that I'll be able to
put myself back together.

and graduating with honors.
