ALICE: Alice's Stormy Afternoon.

(Mother Rose whooping, gasps)
There you go, Alice.

What do you think?

I think I love my flower crown,
Mother Rose.

It's like a hat for my hat.

Ears up, Fergie.

(panting)

Phew! Good thing us rabbits are fast.

(chuckles)
Fast and fashionable.

Gotta look our best
to meet Rose's rosebuds!

(humming lullaby)

(snoring)

-Look at them!
-Aww!

So cute!

How long until the lil' buds bloom?

MOTHER ROSE: Won't be long now.

Once the sun is overhead,
their petals'll reach for the sky.

Oh, they'll be hungry too.

(gasps)
Hungry?

Well, I can whip up something special
for their big day.

Oh, what a sweet surprise.

Ooh, what are you gonna make for
the little buds' sunny wake up call?

Mm... I'm not sure yet, but I'm thinking
something fun and exciting.

To the bakery.

Let's see.

Frosty Forest Bites.

Hmm, too cold.

Sunny Day Soufflés?

No, too hot.

Crumbs! I don't know what to make.

Why don't you bring them
today's basic bake?

Ooh! You mean those easy,
yummy practice recipes

Alice has made a bazillion times?

(giggles)
Those are the ones.

My daily lessons are all part
of "ze Cookie Method of Baking."

The more I do them,
the better I get at baking.

We practice "ze method" over and over,
so when an exciting dish comes up,

one that's fun but hard to make,

-we'll be ready.
-(meows)

I am so ready for something exciting,
and I bet the Rosebuds are too.

What'll it be today?

Hmm. For today's bake,
I'd like you to practice making...

ooh, vanilla cupcakes.
(laughs)

Vanilla cupcakes.

But that's the most basic of basic bakes.

I practiced them so many times.

I can list the ingredients by heart.

Two large eggs and Wonderland honey.

Shake 'em up and down,
then hop like a bunny.

One dash of flour
and a bloom of buttercup!

Add vanilla powder and mix the batter up.

It's pretty easy.

And it's the start
to half the recipes in my book,

even some of the hardest ones.

That's why it's important
to keep practicing.

-Even for a master baker like you?
-Even me.

I'll never forget
the "banana bread incident."

-Oh! Not the banana bread incident!
-(meows)

Oh, yes.

I was tired of practicing over and over,

so I closed my cover
and started skipping my lessons.

Oh, I do not like where this is going!

I forgot the steps to my recipe,

and let's just say, my banana bread
turned into a banana bonanza!

Peels everywhere!

What a mess.

That's bananas.

Oh, yeah, yeah. You can say that again!

Now, how about that basic bake?

Well, I did promise Mother Rose
I bring her something delicious.

Okay. One batch of practice cupcakes,
comin' right up.

I'm off to help Mother Rose
prepare for her rosebuds. Whoo!

Happy practicing.

See you soon.

(sighs)
I guess I better get started

on these vanilla cupcakes, again.

Hattie and I can help.

We've made them almost
as much as you have.
