04x08 - The Ex-Files

Post by bunniefuu »

It was just
a normal day in Eureka.

Day's not over yet.

Yeah. Like that was
going to last.

Hello, 1947.
Confused? Let me clarify.

The five of us got
transported back in time

through some wormhole thingy
thanks to the Bridge Device.

We eventually found
our way back home,

but, surprise, home wasn't
exactly the way we left it.

Henry? Married.

Zane and Jo? Never dated.

But Jo's in charge
of G.D. Security.

Kevin? Different,
much to Allison's surprise.

And Fargo?
Head of Global Dynamics,

much to everyone's surprise.

Oh, and Dr. Old Spice hitched a
ride with us back to the present,

but there's one crappy rule.

We can't tell anyone.

If people ever found out about
our trip, there'd be trouble.

And I finally kissed Allison,
and then she kissed me.

But that's Eureka for you.
Same town, big changes.

Previously on Eureka...

Trevor Grant?

How do you know my name?

I believe you knew my
father, Adam, back in 1947.

Who are you?

My name is Beverly Barlowe

and we've been waiting
a very long time for you.

You don't believe me. GRANT:
What? That you're Adam Barlowe's daughter?

Seems improbable.

As improbable as taking a
trip 60 years into the future?

I don't know what
you're talking about.

We hoped the bottle of wine
would be convincing.

My father said
it was your favorite.

Hey, no more games.

Barlowe's been dead
for 10 years, I checked.

So, who are we?

The group you
and my father created,

the philosophy
you established.

We were a handful of people,
we had an ideal then.

You were the architects
of a powerful movement.

And now there
are thousands of us.

Scientists,
politicians, thinkers.

We're the watchdogs working to
control scientific developments.

Anything to prevent another
tragedy like we saw in 1945.

Nuclear weapons.

Technology's most
regrettable achievement.

And not the last.

This is our latest concern.

DED?
Directed EMP device.

Satellite-based
electromagnetic pulse array.

Eradicates all electronics
in a 1000-mile radius,

sending an entire country
back to the Stone Age.

It's a w*apon of domination.

And it's being tested
at Global Dynamics.

I find that hard to believe.
I know these people.

Then check it out
for yourself, Dr. Grant.

Because we need
your help to stop them.

What? What?
Got something on me?

Wow, the rhythm has
definitely got you. Yeah.

Yeah.

Hey, everybody.

Listen, Grace and I would just
like to thank you all for coming.

We hit a...
Bit of a...

Well, tough time.

For a while. But it
made us appreciate...

What we have
together.

To new beginnings.
To new beginnings.

Oh, you guys are
so junior high prom.

What?
I'll see you later, Dad.

Where are you going? Um,
people are swimming at the lake,

and Zane said he might
try to stop by.

Okay, have fun.

Whatever, judge-y.

I didn't even say anything!
Are you kidding?

Well, look, crushes are
complicated, you know?

Don't even say it. Oh, you
know what she's thinking about?

She's thinking about this guy
named Mike that went to Caltech,

and you let him cheat off your
paper during midterms. You did.

He had the most beautiful...
Eyelashes, really?

Seriously? What's
going on with you guys?

They've been finishing each
other's sentences all day.

You know that PTSD therapy
I've been working on?

Well, I adapted the
interface to use with Henry.

So, we've been sharing
memories across timelines.

Oh, you've been cheating.

Yes.
Oh, that's great.

Dr. Monroe. Henry.
Hey.

Sorry I'm late. I was having coffee
with a friend, lost track of time.

That's quite all right,
glad you could make it.

You got a Scotch? Uh, no, but
we got some beer and champagne.

Hey Douglas, I hear you're
testing the DED today.

Mind if I come along as part
of my continuing education?

Yeah, sure.
It'll be a laugh a minute.

General Mansfield's coming
by to yell at me in person

in case anything goes wrong.

Like that.

Oh, man. What's that,
some kind of power surge?

No. I put an interrupted emissions
loop to stop that kind of feedback.

I'm sorry. You okay?
Yeah, yeah, no. I'm fine.

New beginnings!

New beginnings.

I thought you went
to the lake.

Yeah? Who told you that?

Someone who's totally inappropriate
for you to even think of.

Admit it, you're just doing
it to mess with her dad.

It's just a crush.
It's harmless.

And, yeah, maybe I'm milking it
to mess with Carter a little bit.

What do you care?
Any time now, gentlemen.

Easy. When you're building a
doomsday machine, details matter.

DED is not a w*apon. It's
a defensive countermeasure

in case of
electronic att*ck.

Whatever helps you
sleep at night.

And we're ready. Grab some
popcorn and take a seat, General.

I don't usually
agree with Dr. Donovan,

but I do share
his concern on this one.

What, you don't think we should
be able to defend ourselves?

I didn't say that.

We build weapons
to defend ourselves,

forces our enemies to create
newer weapons to defend themselves.

Where does it stop?

Here we go. For this test, we'll
be using 0.4% power potential.

Shutting down.

Are you okay?
You okay, buddy?

It must have been some kind of transient
anomaly from one of the couplings.

An anomaly I trust will be fixed
before next week's field test.

Good as done.

Good.

How's Fargo?

Hi.

Headache, no concussion. Actually he
just left if you want to catch him.

Um, I could do that.

Or I could

stay here
and ask you out.

Hmm. I'll have to
think about that.

Okay.

Hold on a second.

Hey, Deputy, bad timing.

I'll be right there.

Ah, problem at the Da
Vinci bridge. I got to...

See you later.

Yes, you will.

Well, that explains a lot.

Oh, Tess, um, I had
no idea that you were here.

Ah, yeah, Perseid meteor
shower peaks tomorrow night.

You guys have
the best view.

I did not expect
to see that, though.

It's not what you think.

Oh, yeah, making
bedroom eyes with my ex?

It's not exactly
what you think.

I should have
seen this coming.

Tess. Listen, I have to
go help my team set up.

It was great
catching up with you, Al.

What?

Are you doing
your hair differently?

No.

Please just stop
staring at me.

I think I'm making
a mistake, Jo,

with this whole
Zoe thing.

We really have
nothing in common.

Yeah, because she's
not a criminal?

No.

Because she doesn't get me.

Not like you do.

I'm breaking the news to her tonight
before she gets the wrong idea.

I just thought
you might want to know.

I thought you said
there was a problem.

There is.

You hear that?

No.

I'm sorry. It must be
your advanced age.

Sorry, what?

Must be your advanced age!

No, yeah, I heard you.
What do you mean?

Oh. The range of human hearing
decreases significantly as you get older.

Right now I'm clocking a
powerful frequency about 70 hertz.

It's rattling my aural network
something fierce.

So, you called me
because of a headache?

Now, I heard that.

Oh, no, no, no!
Not again!

Run!

Andy!

I got you.

Well, that's new.

Whoo.

I'm going to have to
shut down and run diagnostics.

Afraid I may have
blown a fuse.

Never stops being creepy.

That's
an understatement.

Hey, Carter.

Miss me?

How'd you...

You're dead.

Uh, you know, undead.

Nope. Not a vampire.

That's not what I'm...

Carter, you're the last person
I thought would freak out.

No. I mean, it's
not... Because it... Is it...

It's real.

Where you been?
Stuck in space time.

Drifting, really.

But this is Eureka.

It was only a matter of time before
some idiot's experiment failed miserably

and I found a
pathway home.

The DED device.
What's that?

The... No.

On the bridge. I... I...

I didn't hear...
Did I? Am I crazy?

You're not crazy.
Go ahead. Pinch me.

I don't want to pinch you.

You know you want to.
No, I really don't.

Ow!

Told you I'm real.

I watched you get vaporized.

Not vaporized.
De-materialized.

Any third grader would
know the difference.

Does anyone else know
you're here?

No. You're the first. I wanted
to see the look on your face.

I can't believe
it's been a year.

God, you have a
daughter I haven't met.

And Allison, I don't
want to scare her.

Hi honey, it's your
not so dead fianc?.

Yeah, I definitely
got to massage that.

Well, Carter,
you seem busy.

No.
I'm going to go find Allie.

What? You...

You know robots.
A little help?

And this is the rotunda
of Global Dynamics.

As you can see it's
very big and rotund.

Do you guys have
a Tesla coil?

Yeah, we have
lots of coils.

Hey, and look who
finally decided to join us.

Welcome future scientists,
and congratulations

on winning such
a prestigious internship.

You enjoying
the tour so far?

She put us in a security cell
while she went to the bathroom.

What?
Okay, I had to go.

Well, I'm Dr. Douglas Fargo,
and I'm the director here.

You see that
big office up there?

That's mine.

This entire facility
is mine.

And when my employees
ignore important deadlines,

it's my job to whip
then into shape.

Tesla coils in section two.

All right, everyone,
right this way.

You're just going to
let him talk to you like that?

Excuse me?

Hard to be the lead dog with
your tail between your legs.

Hi, what are
you working on?

Hey. Well, you remember the nanobots
that helped you quit smoking?

You decided to deprive
more people of the pleasure?

No. But I may have found a
way to adapt it to target cancer cells.

Wow, that's amazing.
That's really amazing.

Something bothering you?

Yes. Yes, there is actually.

What do you know about this w*apon
they're testing in Section Five?

The DED device? Well, you see,
you're doing it as well now.

Doing what? You're avoiding
calling it a w*apon.

It's a Department
of Defense project.

This is a DOD facility.

Yeah, but it shouldn't be.
It's not what I...

It's not how we
envisioned the place to be.

I distinctly remember being in 1947 and
seeing more soldiers than scientists.

That was right
after the w*r.

We were trying to get
this place off the ground.

So, you think we should
just scrap the whole project?

I think science should be about discovery,
not about who can build the biggest g*n.

This nanobot research
that I'm working on,

the research that
I used to save your life,

they don't give you funding
for this kind of thing

if you don't also work
on projects for the m*llitary.

I see I'm not going
to win this argument.

I didn't realize
we were arguing.

I'll let you get
back to your work.

Seriously?
You haven't hit that?

Okay, Tess. Listen.

Um, I may have been
a little abrupt earlier.

Have you spoken
with Carter?

Oh, oh, I don't have anything to say
to him that hasn't already been said,

except maybe don't
date my best friend.

But I assumed
that was a given.

Listen, Tess,
I'm really sorry.

Al, we need to talk.

Oh, my gosh,
astonishing. CARTER: Yeah.

Listen, I'm going to have
to run some molecular scans

to check for
structural weaknesses.

Yeah, that's, um...

Henry, I got to
talk to you for a sec.

Stark's back.

Okay. It's a bit like that.

What?

Uh...

Nathan. He was in my
office about an hour ago.

Bane of my existence,
he's... He's back.

That's impossible.
I mean, you saw him...

Vaporize. Yeah.
De-materialize.

That's right.
Yeah, well,

I wonder what
pulled him back.

I'd put my money on that
electro-pulse g*n thing, the...

No, the DED works on
completely different principles.

I mean, it affects
electronics,

not structures or people, or at least
not theoretically.

Well, there's
that word again.

It's Allison.

Hi.

Yeah, I got to
talk to you too.

Uh-huh.

Caf? Diem around 8:00.

You're doing that thing
you do when you're nervous.

Hey, Carter.

You all done playing doctor
with your robot?

So, we thought that
it would be a good idea

if we all sat down
and cleared the air.

A good... Um...

You know, you guys have a lot
to talk about. I'm gonna go.

No, you're the person
that we need to talk to.

This should be fun.

What can I
get you two?

Two?

Do you see
anyone sitting there?

I see Tess sitting there.

What do you see?

Well, this is awkward.

So, you're seeing Nathan?

Well, not just seeing him.
He smacked me in the head.

How can you do that
if you're not real?

Hallucinations can
be incredibly vivid,

even creating
the illusion of the touch.

What is he saying?

Um...

Um, not so much
talking. Sniffing.

So, what about Tess?

Oh, I'm here,
you lying...

She, um, sends
her regards.

What is that?

Is that your jeep?

It used to be.

Oh, I thought
this wasn't a date.

Well, it's not yet.

So, what do you think
about this with these?

Listen, um, Zoe,

you know, if you ever need
someone to talk to,

you can come to me.

Like if, say, you're
upset about anything...

Mr. Donovan is
at the door.

Stall him.

Hey, Jo.
Hey.

Carter's not here.
Ah.

It's too bad.

Uh, please
do me a favor.

Be nice about it, okay?

You know, love is
a big deal to a girl her age.

Okay.

Hi.

Wow.

Well, look, let Carter know
I won't have her out too late.

You're having
hallucinations?

Yeah. Allison too. We're
seeing each other's exes.

Ex being a relative term.

Dr. Stark is here? Has
he said anything about me?

No, Fargo. Nothing.

Oh, at least somebody
misses me.

So, this is the machine that
destroyed my jeep and the bridge, huh?

No, the DED is an electro-magnetic
flux compression generator.

It only works on electronics.
He's getting good.

It can't be
a coincidence, though,

that all the things started
happening right after the test.

Instruments are detecting an
anomalous energy reading, Douglas.

Anomalous,
that's bad, right?

Four years in this town,
that's the word you pick up?

Oh, shut up.

Not you.

Energy's still building
in the power coupling.

Well, then the whole place
could come down over our heads.

Okay, we got to shut this thing down
so we can figure out what's going on.

That's the thing,
it is shut down.

I say we destroy it,

and that way, we scuttle
the project completely.

I don't recall asking
for your opinion.

With all due respect,
General... Why are you even here?

You're a librarian.
Go catalog something.

Hey, you can't be here.

Excuse me?
Uh... I'm sorry

I'll be right back.

What could
you possibly want?

I miss you.

And I'm loving the
power suits, by the way.

Very sexy.

You know what? I am done
with your mind games.

Oh, what's wrong,
JoJo?

You're sadistic.
That's what.

You didn't tell her.

And Zoe said that she had an
awesome time with you last night.

Jo, why are kids from the tour
group running around Section Five?

What are you talking about?
The tour was yesterday.

They are long gone.

And if you don't mind, we're kind
of in the middle of something.

Um...

Who's standing
here right now?

You, me and Zane. Why?

I think we're hallucinating.

It's happening to Carter
and Allison as well.

What? Okay, why
would be hallucinating?

Why would I be
hallucinating Zane?

Maybe it's not this Zane.
Maybe it's your Zane.

My Zane.

From the old timeline.

At least that would
make sense.

I mean, I'm just seeing
some kid from the...

You still don't
recognize me?

No.

Farto.

Oh, you're
Jessica Lansky.

Who's Jessica Lansky?

My fifth grade nemesis.

You were bullied by a girl?

At least I'm not seeing
my other timeline boyfriend.

He's just jealous of our love.

Oh, God.

Okay, what is going on?

I don't know, but
let's find out. Come on.

Stop smiling, it's creepy.

The MRI scans are normal, but our EEG
show increased gamma wave activity.

Notice how your brain's
significantly smaller?

Nathan's here, isn't he?

Yeah. Tess?

Men are pigs.

Yeah.

Well, what's causing this?

I don't know,
but something is

stimulating our pathways
in our limbic systems.

Well, both of us must have
been exposed at the same time.

Make that all of us.

Oh, wow. All right.
Who are you seeing?

Zane.
The other Zane.

And a 10-year-old girl.

Oh, it's less creepy
than it sounds.

Well, at least that
narrows it down.

When was the last time
all four of us were together?

Hey, Jack, good.
I've been looking for you.

The analysis of the Jeep has really
turned up something interesting.

What?

Well, the power surge
during the barbecue

could have amplified
the signal from our

neural interfaces and
triggered your hallucinations.

Yeah, but why aren't
we having them?

Well, our neural pathways were
already stimulated by the device

and maybe that
somehow protected us.

And since I adapted the
technology to work with you

in the absence of another
person to share the experience,

their mind must have created
one from their own memories.

This is great, really, but
can't we just shut it off?

I mean, I'm tired of hearing
about the shoes I have to fill.

Size 13!

Just saying.

It isn't that easy.

Hallucinations are manifestations
of our fears and insecurities.

And since the technology was
designed for therapeutic purposes...

If we have unresolved issues
with the people that we're seeing,

we have to work past them
before they will go away.

Oh, that sounds like fun.
I'll start.

What is that?

Well, this is what I was trying
to talk to you about earlier.

The bridge and your Jeep

gradually exposed to their
own resonant frequencies.

They literally
shook themselves apart.

You all right?

Yeah. You?
Yeah.

That was a little
too close to home.

Yeah, what's
the frequency, Kenneth?

Or resonance, whatever.

Every object has its own natural
mode at which it vibrates,

and if it's exposed to sound
waves that match its frequency,

then it oscillates at an
increasing magnitude until...

Until it shakes itself
apart, got it. Exactly.

But the frequency
that caused this

is different than whatever
destroyed your car at the bridge.

Well, what's
causing it then?

Some kind of
acoustic oscillator.

I mean, more powerful
than anything I've ever seen.

Well, Fargo said the DED
w*apon was building an energy.

Could that be activating or
interacting with another experiment?

It's possible. I'll tell you
what, we'll check it out.

Great.

Ah, oh, hey,
are you okay?

Yeah, it's just
an abrasion. I'm fine.

Yeah, you are.

Easy, tiger.

Carter,
the hallucinations

are just heightened versions
of the people that we remember.

They're just giving
voice to our own fears.

I'm not scared of Stark.

Hmm.
I mean, as annoying as he is,

it's good to see him.

But it would make sense that
you would be seeing him given,

you know, the fact that you and I are...

Oh, is that why
you're seeing Tess?

Oh, go ahead
Al, tell him.

Tell him that I was there both
times you lost the man that you loved

and you're afraid that same
thing's going to happen to him.

Yeah, it's the same.

Chicken.

It's Fargo. Resonant events
are hitting G.D. Now, too.

All right, come on,
I'll meet you there.

I got one thing
I want to check out.

Afternoon, Doc.

I was glad to get your call.

Is everything all right?

No, I thought I...

Never mind.
Never mind.

You checked out the
information we gave you.

I did.

It seems that the Department
of Defense is calling the sh*ts.

Douglas Fargo is a good man, but G.D.
Needs someone who can stand up to them.

Eureka used to have
a leader like that.

Times have changed.
I'm nobody now.

I don't even have a name. No
one's going to listen to me.

We could give you that
voice again, Dr. Grant.

Really? How?

A plan is already in motion.

And everyone
has a part to play.

This is yours.

It's a G.D. Security code.

You'll need this
when the time comes.

We failed to make a
difference 40 years ago, Trevor.

Now we're getting
a second chance.

The dream we shared is still
alive, thanks to my daughter.

What are you
looking at?

Nothing.

Did you eat yet?

Any luck?
Get down from there.

Well, if that oscillator is in G.D.
It's definitely not in Section Five.

Well, then we have
to keep looking.

Seriously, Farto?

Is there anything
you're not afraid of?

Banner day.

We don't know why energy is
building in the DED w*apon

or what it's affecting to
cause the resonance events.

How about bunny rabbits?
You afraid of them?

"Grrr, I'm going
to eat your face!"

We might be able to erect a damping field
to contain the electromagnetic radiation.

Yeah, it could stop
the resonance events.

Buy us some time until we
figure out how to fix the w*apon.

But we may
have a bigger problem.

The charge in the power cells
is reaching critical.

If this thing blows it'll send off an
electromagnetic pulse that'll take out G.D.

I just don't get it.

It's science, Carter.

No one expects
you to get it.

Well, if it's...

Put a shirt on!

Hey, this is your
fantasy, not mine.

Nightmare.

Shirt it.

What the hell are we
doing up here, anyway?

Well, the...
You're an idiot.

There's one thing
I don't understand.

Just one thing,
huh, Carter?

If the DED w*apon was
the source of the problems,

then why was the
bridge affected first?

It does seem backwards.

Resonance events should
have started back at G.D.

Exactly.

Why are you always
running away?

There was a power surge
at the barbecue.

What if that was
the first event?

Was it before
the weapons test?

Yes, so... G.D.,

barbecue,

then the bridge.
Then my Jeep.

Where's Caf? Diem?

Shut up.

And then Henry's garage.

G.D. Was the last place hit.

We've been thinking
about this all wrong.

The w*apon isn't the
source of the events,

it's the target.

Again with the running.

Henry. Hey Jack, listen I'm
sorry, I can't find our oscillator.

Because we're looking
in the wrong place.

Yeah, tell him about...
I'm trying.

The DED isn't
triggering the events,

someone's targeting
it from the outside.

Well, if they're using an
oscillator to excite the w*apon

then that explains why
there's an energy buildup.

Okay, what if
it goes critical?

Well, then it'll fry every
piece of electronics in Eureka.

Okay, so not good.
No.

Seriously, how
do you function?

But if you're right
about the outside source,

then Fargo's damping
field should prevent that.

Damping field is operational.

That's weird.

The energy buildup's
starting to dissipate.

Maybe that's good.

Yeah, I know, but that
doesn't make any sense.

The only thing a damping
field should do is...

Stop that
from happening.

Look at them.

Scrambling to save their
precious little E b*mb.

This is the future you and
I were trying to prevent.

What are you
waiting for?

Use the security code
to disable the damping field.

Sixty years ago,

you said we'd
change the world.

Here's your chance
to finish what you started.

Nothing seems
out of the ordinary.

This just doesn't
make any sense.

The levels are
completely fine.

What are we looking for?

What happened? FARGO:
Another resonance event.

It knocked out
the damping field.

You're lucky
to be alive.

The charge in the power
cells is building again.

Then we have to
re-initiate the field.

Yeah, we can't.
The whole system's fried.

You need to get to the
infirmary, go on. Yeah.

Pack it up. I want it
on a truck in 10 minutes.

Wait, whoa,
what are you doing?

I'm getting the
DED out of here.

I will not risk losing
every project in here

if an electromagnetic
pulse goes off.

General Mansfield, it's oscillating
at its own natural frequency.

Unless we find the
device that's responsible,

it doesn't matter
where you take it.

We have to scrub it. There's
a disposal unit in Section...

You have your orders.

Way to stick to
your g*ns, Doogie.

Sure, with you
she's gentle.

Me she kick starts
with jumper cables.

You're shaking. Are
you sure you're okay?

No, I'm fine.

Never better.

You did the
right thing, Doc.

Look at him.

He is adorable.

A gentleman and he's safe.

Is she here right now?

But no, no, you pick the guy who runs
into burning buildings for a living.

Oh, yeah, that'll end well.

I try not to
think about it.

I mean, what about you?
You were at the barbecue,

you haven't said anything
about who you're seeing.

The guy whose life
she saved 63 years ago.

Tall leggy blonde,
slinky red dress.

Hmm.

Old girlfriend?
I could tell you about her.

Who the hell is this?

Ah, can I borrow you for
a second? Sorry. Uh, sure.

Henry said you'd know what
this is and how to use it.

Yeah, electronic
microtuner.

We're halfway
there.

Where are we going? Treasure hunting.

Works like a metal detector

except it detects
frequencies, not metal.

Not metal.
Yeah, got it.

So, it still beeps loudly
though when we get close, right?

Well... I can't believe
you find this endearing.

What makes you think the
oscillator's out here anyway?

Well, I... um...

Occam's razor,

because the...

The event started here...
What? Did it...

Nothing.
It's just... um...

Ah. You likey
the science talk.

A little bit.

I "likey" to barf.

Okay.

Go over there.

A little bit further.

This is a mistake.

And you told him that. What
else could you have done?

How about grow a pair
and actually stop this?

Sorry. Did I use
my outside voice?

If I don't stand up to General
Mansfield, I don't deserve this job.

When did you
ever deserve it?

The job was handed to you.

Hey, whatever that
little brat's saying,

she's wrong.

Carter, Allison, Henry and me, if
we didn't think you could do this,

you wouldn't be here.

Really?

Yes, Fargo.
Now, suck it up.

You're so intelligent
and intuitive.

People don't give
you enough credit.

What are you talking about?

You never made me forget how
much smarter you were than me.

Shh. No. I love you
just the way you are.

If you say, "I complete
you", I may hurl.

Jo, if he's a hallucination, whatever
he's saying is coming from you.

From me? Okay, this stuff is
straight out of a romance novel.

This is nothing like
how he really was.

How we really were.

Well, he's not going anywhere
until you figure it out.

So, I hope you do.

How is that possible,
it's all around us?

Quartz. It's amplifying
the signal.

It could be coming
from anywhere.

Oh, fantastic.

I think it's time to
talk about our feelings.

I'll go first.
Please don't.

Carter, he's not
really there.

Yeah.

I'm just going to
go over here.

Come on, Carter,
come take a load off.

He knows you're scared, so why
can't you admit it to yourself?

Don't worry.
We'll figure it.

Just another
day in Eureka.

Whoopsie.

That was unexpected.

They camouflaged it with
holographic projection.

Whoever is doing this
has thought of everything.

Carter, what are
you doing?

Turning it off.

Did I scare it?

Yeah, Carter,
you scared it.

It must be remote-activated, but
if the goal is to take out G.D.,

why turn it off before
the thing does its job?

Maybe it's done its job.

No, if the DED device
went off, we'd know it.

No, no, no, maybe it
wasn't intended to go off.

Maybe that was the plan.

Oh, I had
a plan once.

We're in the
middle of nowhere.

Bridge...

This was all a
distraction.

Somebody wanted us to
move the DED out of Global.

Jo, where's the w*apon?

Carter, there was an ambush.

The w*apon's gone.
