tried to get help

people were frightened.

was see our eyes and they knew.

the above-grounders feared us

the more we didn't trust them.

[upbeat music]

So we kept to ourselves
and became a family.

We called ourselves,
The Night breed.

[music continues]

We started to steal
to stay alive.

That's how we met Ebon.

He was real interested
in my power.

He said it gave him ideas.

So we had Tech analyze it.

The big bang
had turned Tech

into the smartest
person in Dakota.

Well, Gear might disagree.

But should never have
helped Ebon. He's crazy!

Well, it doesn't take
brains to figure that out.

What's he up to this time?

He wants to
block out the sun.

[dramatic music]

We've been stealing parts for
a machine that Tech is building.

the Blackout Box.

Ebon wants to set it off
where no one will see it.

Once that happens

it'll spread dark matter
all over the sky

and make Dakota dark, forever.

[people screaming]

Then, Ebon wants
all of the Night breed

to take over the city..

...with him in control.

More like, King Ebon.

He calls us
his army of darkness.

setting up the box.
