Male announcer: Previously on Republic of Doyle.

Jake: Recognize him?

That little story of yours. Probably give you
another five, ten years.

This is not your best idea, Doyle.

You're taking Tinny's father away from her. Doesn't that bother you?

The farther away he is, the better.

Walter: You are gonna rot in Vancouver.

And there is not a thing you can do about.

You just got on the list of people I'm gonna attend to.

Maurice Becker is gunning for Jake.

I'll get you k*lled.

Who's the boss? What's his name?

You know his name.

Becker: I had the perfect diamond score.

And you shagged it up.

So forgive me,
if I exact revenge any way I choose.

Taylor Reginald Gossard.

I'm arresting you for the m*rder of Cassidy Sanford.

Leslie: I've been promoted.

I found out yesterday.

It's in Ottawa.

Yeah, yeah, fellas. Nice to see you too, [Buzz]

You know, I wasn't a hundred percent about whether I should call you or not, considering how things didn't go so well for me last time.

Really?

I thought it worked out exactly as you planned.

I mean, you're still here.

Yeah. Still here.

Well, after a week's stint in the infirmary after you're little, you know, bust through the glass routine.

Nice job, that you were able to just hit that cr*ck just so.

Yeah. Funny, wha?

I see they've made some-- solid improvements.

Well, we do live in an age of heightened security.

Crocker, not to go straight at it, but what the hell do you want from me?

First off, I'd like to call a truce between you and me.

If by truce, you mean that we never have to lay eyes on each other again, I'm all for that, so--

Enjoy your time in the communal showers.

Secondly, I would like Tinny, my daughter, to be allowed to make her own decisions.

And that means no interference from you, or from your sister.

Fine.

Fine?

Wild.

I would have thought that would warrant some kind of objection from you.

Unlike you, Tinny's a grown up.

And I trust her to make her own decisions.

Well, good.

We're done here.

No hard feelings, and you have yourself a good life, partner.

Just wait a second, if you'll allow me.

Just one last thing.

I wanna make myself perfectly clear to you.

I don't care what everybody else says, or what they think.

Remember, know exactly who you are.

And what you're fully capable of.

This, again.

Everybody seems so convinced that I m*rder*d that hooker.

And nobody seems to care that I did not-- underscore-- did not m*rder that hooker.

Right. Well, I'd love to sit here and keep playing Guess What the Psychopath is Thinking, but I got real things to do in the real world, so--

I don't want my daughter thinking I'm a m*rder*r.

Maybe you should have thought of that before you started acting all--

m*rder-y.

Ha, ha! Aha!

Is this visit one of a conjugal nature between you two?

Maurice Becker. Nice to see you.

Hope you're enjoying the extra ten years that was tacked on for that whole conspiracy, trying to off me thing.

Becker: As to that,

I've been cooking up something really special for you, Doyle.

Like I promised.

And-- it's on its way. Right about now.

Are you feeling it yet?

All done?

Yup.

Nice Work.

Have a good one.

[expl*si*n.]

Jake: What the hell is this?

How about this for revenge?

Not bad!

Wouldn't you say?

B'ys are you gonna try and stop that, or what?

You're coming with me.

I think I'm gonna take my chances, right here.

Wrong choice.

I think our chat's over, partner.

You fellas enjoy your time on the outside.

I'll find you.

And you'll spend the rest of your lives back in here.

Trust me.

No sir. You took my freedom.

And I'm gonna take what you love most.

And it'll break your heart.

I'll be in touch!

Reporter: It was mayhem at Her Majesty's Penitentiary today, when and expl*si*n in the prison's outer wall allowed a daring mass escape.

At this time, it's estimated that nearly one hundred incarcerated criminals have been set free.

And are on the run in St. John's.

So.

You just happened to be at the penitentiary for the biggest prison breakout in provincial history?

Leslie, I had nothing to do with it, okay? It was Becker.

Plus--
He's made a new friend.

Kevin Crocker?

You think they were working on this together?

Planned this?

Well, they escaped together.

I'm pretty sure Becker would have k*lled me right then and there, if he could have.

We did catch Becker on tape trying to k*ll you.

And we know how Crocker feels about you.

This could be revenge.

Becker said he was gonna come after the people closest to me.

Jake. It's gonna be okay. We're gonna catch him.

Both of them.

And when we do, they're never gonna see daylight again.

I bet this whole thing is kind of making the job offer in Ottawa a lot more appealing.

I don't want to think about that.

My only concern is you.

And cleaning up Becker's mess.

We can talk about that later.

Okay. Okay.

Just tell me.

Is your new home gonna be surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean?

Or will it have a river running through it that people skate on in the winter?

Well, that-- sort of depends on you.

Criminals are running all over town.

I'm not sure how, but I'm guessing this is all thanks to Jake here.

Anything to give you a little bit of exercise, buddy.

Let's go round them up.

We'll talk later.

Man, there are some lot of crazy dudes out there.

It's like Halloween on George Street.

Except, without all the sexy nurses.

Because male cons--

No matter how you look at it--

They're just not as sexy.

Hey. Did the cops identify the construction worker who set off the expl*sives at the pen?

No, apparently she hid her face from the surveillance cameras.

That's something we gotta look into.

She actually picked the perfect place for that expl*si*n.

Not only did she blow off the door.

She also knocked out the power controlling all the prison cell locks.

Smart girl.

Man, that's some mess of convicts running around out there.

Yeah. And you know what?

You actually helped put a bunch of the behind bars.

And if I was them, you'd be my number one target.

Like, I'd find you.

And I'd get you. And then I'd make you hurt -- the same way you made me hurt-- or them hurt, collectively.

Actually, if they were smart, they would just team up--

Like Becker and Crocker.

Rose: Des.

It's okay Rose.

What Des doesn't realize, is that he helped put a lot of these cons away too.

And if I was them, I mean--

I'd go after Des.

Pick out the weakest of the pack, kind of thing.

Oh my dear Lord, you're right.

This was left downstairs a couple of minutes ago.

It's from Maurice Becker.

He doesn't waste any time.

Tinny's at the house. I was just heading there.

This is a warning.

Tinny.

She's his revenge.

Tell Kathleen not to let Tinny out of her sight.

We're on our way.

Understood.

Hey, hey! Be careful.

Okay mom. I'll see you later.

Hey.

Why don't you take a sick day, and, um--

Yeah, you've been working so hard.

We could hang out.

Maybe do something cool.

Maybe we could go zip lining at Petty Harbour.

Uh, you know that there's dozens of cons on the streets.

I gotta to go in.

I gotta do my job.

I know. I just--

Okay. You're acting really weird.

What's wrong?

Jake: There you are.

Hey.

Kathleen: Hey.

Tinny: What's going on? Guys?

Okay. It seems all clear.

Good.

Someone wanna tell me what's on the go here?

It's Maurice Becker.

He escaped from prison today.

I know.

B'ys, I'm a cop. Remember?

There was a ceremony.

We think he's after you. He's gonna use you to get to me.

It's always about you, Jake, b'y.

This is serious, Tinny.

I'm sure it is.

But, I can handle myself. Everybody just relax.

And--
There's something else.

Jake: We think that your-- father, Kevin Crocker, is working with him.

Civilized again.

Clothes do make the man.

Crocker: Yeah. I can't say I'm gonna miss the onesie.

Now what the hell are we doing here?

You must have some sort of a plan floating around in that scull of yours.

Yeah, but just because we were on the same side of the wall, does not make us kindred spirits yet.

It was not a part of my daily plan this morning, to escape from prison.

You did that.

You got me into this mess.

What do you expect?

Gratitude.

Heh, heh.

You are now a free man, and it's because of me.

And I just happen to need your assistance with some work that needs to be done.

My assistance? Meaning, what?

Meaning I pull off the job? You reap the rewards?

When you see what's at stake, that attitude of yours is gonna change direction.

What's that supposed to mean?

I don't know.

You do as I say, or I'll k*ll your daughter.

There's no debate. No discussion.

Do what I want.

And she won't have to join hands with her uncle Jake, where he is going.

Jake: We're gonna need to know your routine today.

Everywhere you're gonna be. Okay?

You're gonna need constant protection.

Tinny: It doesn't matter if

Becker is out there, or Crocker, or someone else.

I'm a police officer.

Like you both once were.

There are risks. It's part of the job.

These are unfair odds.

This isn't your fight.

Tinny: Meaning you don't think

I can handle myself.

Jake: No. Tinny. I mean,

I'm the one who brought this into our lives.

It's my fault. Not yours.

Tinny, we know that you can handle yourself.

But the police have their hands full.

Just let them help you.

I don't know what I'll be at!

I just got called in to do my job, and I'm late.

So--

Let's stay close behind her.

I have to go to open the bar, before one of those escapees breaks down the door looking for some free beer.

[Ring]

Just watch yourself.

Yeah.

[Ring]

It's Rose.

What do you got?

Rose: A friend of mine on the force sent me a preliminary finding of the expl*sive used at the pen.

C4.

C4. Where the hell did they get C4?

Remember that stolen mining shipment?

Disappeared a few weeks ago. It was in the news.

Yeah?

Cops think it was the same material.

Great.

So now they're armed with expl*sives.

If you hear anything else, keep us up to date.

You got it.

Sounds like Becker's planning something bigger than this escape.

And no doubt Kevin Crocker is involved.

Leslie: I got a special assignment for you.

Do you know about our evidence locker?

Only that it was pretty much blown up last week during the hostage situation.

That's the gist of it.

So now we got a compromised evidence locker, and one hundred of Her Majesty's out of the street.

Doesn't sound like the best combo.

No, it's not.

Especially considering we got millions of dollars worth of dr*gs in there.

What's the plan?

The brass wants the evidence moved.

And today.

When do weave?

I won't be able to go with you.

I need to coordinate some things from here.

You'll need these.

Access to the transport vault.

So I'm on my own?

No. You'll be --

Des: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I didn't see you there.

Oh my God.

I didn't put you in there.

It was Jake. I just do what Jake says.

Leslie: Des!

Just relax.

Okay. I'm sorry about all of--

Des.

Des: Okay.

Why are you here?

I just wanted to, um-- say hello.

You're worried about me too.

You do know that your criminal father and Jake's arch nemesis have, like, teamed up.

And they're, like, on the loose.

Yeah. I'm fine.

Sure. Okay.

Okay. I know that now. I just--

I had to see with my own eyes. Because no one else's will do.

And I'm okay.

But thanks for caring.

I do-- care.

Tinny. I really, really do.

And, this likely isn't the time to ask this.

And, well what time is, really?

I, uh --

Grayson: Tinny Doyle.

Des: Who's he? Who's you?

Grayson: Uh, let's go.

We gotta get ready for the transport run. Come on.

I'll be right there.

Listen. I gotta go.

But seriously. Thanks for caring. It's sweet.

You're a good friend.

Okay. Well, um--

Just be careful out there.

Buddy.

See ya.

Yeah.

Crocker: Look. I can't help you if I don't know what the job is, now can I?

Becker: Fine.

We're stealing something.

You happy now?

What do you want from me?

I read your file.

You're good with security systems.

You even set up a few with the police force.

What are you thinking about?

Hitting the station? And why?

Something like that.

Plus you'd need a serious inside man.

And I've got you.

Don't gamble with your daughter's life.

Jake: Who's missus?

Sarah Blackwell.

Former prison volunteer turned escape accomplice.

Have you found a connection with her and Becker?

Yeah. There is a connection, alright.

Let's just say Becker has a way with the ladies.

She's Becker's girlfriend?

She's been calling him and visiting him every day right up until the prison break.

Jake: No wonder he wanted to get out of jail so bad.

So we find her, we find Becker.

What do we have on Sarah?

I left a file on her downstairs in the bar. Be right back.

This whole thing is driving me crazy, okay?

Not knowing where Becker's to. He could jump on us at any minute.

That's why we're gonna find him before he does.

And don't go blaming yourself for all of this.

For once, it's not your fault.

Ha. Ha.

And, I'm not one to pry--

But--

Oh no, b'y. I knows you're not.

You wanna tell me what's going on with you and Leslie?

No.

I can tell. There's something wrong.

Is she pregnant?

No. She's not pregnant.

I mean, I don't-- I don't think that she's pregnant.

You do know where babies come from, right?

Only what you told me, father.

So it's not exactly a reliable source.

If she's not pregnant, then. What is it?

She--

She got a promotion.

Good sign. You haven't totally wrecked her career.

No-- I mean it is good.
Very good.

It's just that it's--

It's in Ottawa.

What do you think of Ottawa?

I think it's not Newfoundland.

You'd be with Leslie. You're not pinned down.

There's nothing keeping you here.

If you're trying to get rid of me, I'll stay just to spite you. Don't ever forget that.

With you off the payroll, our insurance premiums will come down considerably.

Oh my God. You're like, hilarious today.

I'm serious, son. You love her.

Don't miss the opportunity to share your life with her.

It's times like this you realize what's truly important.

Reporter (on TV): A crime wave continues to ravage the city, as escaped cons have looted and robbed numerous businesses, while others have stolen vehicles--

I brought a file on Sarah Blackwell here this morning.

I think I left it here.

I can't believe this is happening.

Becker and Crocker on the loose.

Tinny in trouble.

Kathleen: I haven't seen it.

Okay ladies.

I ain't here to hurt nobody.

But if I have to, I will.

Now hand over all your money.

Don't ye be looking at each other.

I wants the cash that's in the safe.

And I want it now.

Rose: Okay, well, first of all,
we're not open yet.

And secondly, there is no cash, because we use these things called banks to put our money in.

Ha. Don't you get smart.

I knows what banks are.

And I hears tell ye got more than either one of them in there.

Let's find out, shall we?

Out!

Move it!

Now, buddy-- Maurice Becker tells me that this safe is full of cash!

So either he's lying, or you are.

Now, how do you suppose we get to the bottom of that?

Taylor Gossard?

In the flesh.

Grayson: This should be the last of it.

We should be ready to roll.

Tinny: Good. I'm starting to loose feeling in my arms.

Whatever--
With g*ns like this?

Leave her g*ns alone, Constable.

Sorry, boss.

I was just checking to see if Tinny was up to the task.

Leslie: Yeah. No doubt you were.

Lock it up, Constable.

Yes Sergeant.

[Beep. Beep.]

Okay. You're clear to go.

Don't worry. We'll get it there.

This thing is like Fort Knox on wheels.

It's reinforced with a great security system, but that is no replacement for smart police work.

So stay focussed.

Copy. I'm on it.

We're on it.

Yes. We are.

It shouldn't be too long.

And we'll have all this stuff in lock up.

We don't have a backup team for you.

Cops are running around trying to take as may cons down as possible.

So keep your eyes sharp. And do not stop for anything.

Copy that.

Watch this one.

His cockiness can get the better of him.

Understood.

There's supposed to be cash in here.

Where is it?

A safe is supposed to have money in it.

Everybody knows that.

Taylor--
Like we told you.

We don't have any.

You're gonna have to find some way to pay me.

Or I swear to God, someone's gonna get hurt.

I got fifty bucks in my wallet.

And a bit of change.

We got a ton of empties out back.

You can take them in for deposit.

I was told--

that this safe was overflowing with cash.

Now pay up.

Or so help me--

Rose: Okay, relax.

You're right.

The real safe is in back in the closet.

Now see?

That so hard?

Wasted all this time, shagging around.

Here you had the money all along.

Hurry up.

Back.

It's okay. It's just right in there.

Behind those barrels.

Um.

No!

No, no, no!

Not smart.

Not smart!

Open this door.

I don't think so.

Listen, um...

I'm really -- I'm really, really claustrophobic. Okay. So-- I'm gonna start sh**ting if you don't open this door!

Start sh**ting and we'll call the cops.

No cops.

Don't go calling the cops.

Listen, Rose. Rose.

I'm just-- I'm really freaking out here, okay.

I don't do too well in small spaces.

That's why I busted out of jail.
Rose, open the door!

Please?

What's going on?

We've got a-- old friend-- locked in the closed.

What?

And he as a g*n.

Gossard: I didn't sh**t it!

Guess who that is?

Taylor?

Jake?

You gonna let me out?

Sounds like we got a bit of a situation there, buddy.

I don't do too good in small spaces, man.

I really don't like it in here.

I just--

Can you just let me out, man?

Jake: I tell you what.

I'm gonna on the door a cr*ck, And you're gonna hand me the g*n, handle first.

Then we'll see about letting you out.

Okay.

Okay.

Jake: Taylor?

Taylor, you can't lean against the door
if we're trying to open it.

Sorry, man. Sorry.

It's cocked.

Jake! Let me out now. You said--look.

I gave you the g*n.

You can't leave me in here, please.

Let him out.

Please let me out.

Arrgh.

I don't do well in small spaces, okay?

What's the big deal?

Everybody's got their thing, don't they?

Where's Maurice Becker?

Been a wild old day, Jake.

You know, jail break, attempted robbery, getting locked in there--

My head is a little bit foggy, you know.

Well.

Let me clear that up for you.

Hey.

Hey.

Hey, where's you get that?

Des: My super secret contact at the police station.

And how is Tinny?

She's good.

She got this really annoying, good looking cop beside her, though.

And she is not happy about it, I could tell.

Did you find anything?

Yeah. Tinny's partner's name is Grayson.

He's from Grand Falls-Windsor.

And apparently, he's a really nice guy, if that's what you're into.

I meant the footage.

I've been a tad distracted, for some reason.

Rose: Wait a minute.

You see that?

Des: Yeah, she gave him something.

Rose: Any way you can blow this up?

Maybe we can get an idea what that is.

Oh yeah.

Des-- one. Grayson-- zero.

You better be right about this.

Yeah. My Sarah is on her way here now.

Sarah. Who's Sarah?

She's my salvation.

And our ticket to a better life.

Why doesn't that fill me with confidence?

Hey. Kevin. Honestly.

I think it's time we just started trusting each other.

[Siren]

You are a sight for sore eyes.

I don't care what you do.

I'm not talking about anything.

Do your worst, Jakie.

Oh yeah? Like lock you in a closet?

He's got a fear of confined spaces.

Shut up about that, now.

Where's Maurice Becker?

And Kevin Crocker?

Malachy: Are you really protecting them?

You do know that they're using you as a pawn in their game.

Where are they?

Yeah. Becker would k*ll me.

You know what, Dad?

I think that Maurice Becker would be delighted to hear how much Taylor has helped us.

What does that mean? I haven't even said anything?

Malachy: Yeah, if you really examine the facts.

Yeah. Sure.

But Maurice Becker doesn't dig around too much when it comes to possible rats.

Jake If he even suspects
that you've helps us, well--

Well, he'll gut you. Trust me.

I know exactly how far Maurice Becker will go, when it comes to getting revenge.

You wouldn't do that.

No?

Say snitch.

I ain't no rat.

And I ain't no snitch.

Say, Taylor. Despite our differences--

You really do take a very nice photograph.

Huh. I had my eyes closed.

I wouldn't worry so much about it. I mean--

Becker's only gonna be interested in Taylor here.

And just how much he's helped us.

You're all mad in the head.

He'll never believe this.

Oh, I'm pretty sure he'll k*ll you-- when he finds out how helpful you've been.

I haven't helped ye!

I mean he really, really does deserve to know.

I'll tell him myself, as soon as I see him.

I won't even wait for a natural segue. It'll be--

Hey Maurice.

Taylor Gossard told us everything.

No. Jus--

Come clean!

You've no choice.

I feel sorry for you.

There's something wrong with him.

I thought my old man was messed up.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's got issues.

Now tell us everything.

Becker gave me a little tip.

Said the Duke's safe was full of some serious cash.

And you believed him.

He said it would be a good way of getting back at you --

Getting back what you owes me.

[Rings.]

Hey, Rose.

Hey, Mal. Listen.

Des was able to blow up some of the footage of the break out.

It turns out that Sarah--

Becker's girlfriend?

Yeah.

She handed Becker a key fob.

It's not good, Mal.

Des saw one like it today. Tinny had it.

What? What's it for?

Wha? Oh, uh. It's something. I'm not sure.

It's something pretty high tech, for sure.

Off-topic.

Are cops attracted to other cops?

'Cause I always thought it was a standard P.I.

and cop connection.

You know like Jake and Leslie.

But Jake was a cop.

But then he was a P.I. when he met Leslie.

Thoughts.

Did you check Tinny's phone?

No. There's no answer.

This isn't good. Thanks.

I'll call you back.

Becker's hitting something that involves Tinny and a key fob.

Could be anything.

Hey.

Bell head.

What else do you know?

Just Becker said, if you showed up, I could have the pleasure of taking you down.

We played right into Becker's hands.

He was using Taylor as a distraction.

What?

Wait.

I was a diversion?

Man, I'm getting pretty sick of being played all the time.

Yeah, but you're so good at it.

[Ring]

Sergeant Bennett.

Leslie, it's me.

Make it quick. I'm a bit busy.

I know. I'm sorry.

Where's Tinny?

Working.

What's this about?

We think that Crocker and Becker are involved in some kind of heist and it's got something to do with a key fob.

Does that make any sense to you?

Oh no. The transport.

What are you talking about?

We're moving the evidence from our locker to the RNC vault in Mount Pearl.

What vehicle are you using?

Are you using those old transport t*nk things?

Yeah. How did you know that?

No wonder. No wonder Becker needed Crocker.

He designed all the security features for everyone of those transport vehicles.

Great.

Okay. Look.

You gotta tell it to turn around. Right away.

I'll try.

And let them know that Becker and Crocker are coming for it.

I'm on it.

We gotta catch up with that transport.

What about our little friend?

You could just let me go.

I mean at this point, I'm pretty much the third wheel.

I promise I'll check right into police headquarters.

Cross me heart.

He's coming with us.

Tinny: What are you doing?

Grayson: What do you mean?

Tinny: Why are we stopping here?

Grayson: I'm stopping to see what's wrong.

We were told to stop for nothing.

I don't think they thought we'd come across EMT's in need of help.

That's exactly what they meant when they said nothing.

Well, it's my call, rookie, not yours.

Relax.

Okay. It will be find.

Just watch my back, which I know you were sizing up earlier.

This is a bad idea Grayson.

Please.

Is there a problem?

You need some help?

Sarah: I think it's my engine.

Got a passenger in really bad shape in there.

Oh God. Where are you parked?

Back in there.

In the hanger?

Yeah.

What's wrong with the pass--?

Dispatcher: Transport. Do you read me?

Come in, Grayson? Constable Doyle.

Too late.

What the?

Yeah. There you are.

Alright.

[Beep]

We'll shut you down.

So you cannot go home.

[Beep]

Perfect.

There it is. Beautiful.

Crocker: Yeah.

This could set a fella up, huh?

Did you do what you were supposed to?

Do I look like an idiot?

I disabled the security system and the alarm.

So, as far as anyone is concerned, this vehicle is still travelling towards it's target.

Any problems?

It was very tricky.

Trust me.

I only had fifteen seconds to spare. But, hey--

I designed the system. I knew it's weaknesses.

And the officers?

Just on kid. Sarah took care of him.

Atta girl.

Well, load up the ambulance.

I'll be right behind you.

Tinny: Hands where I can see 'em.

Tinny, what the hell are you doing here?

Just drop what you're holding.

I'm arresting you.

Hold on Tinny. This is not what it looks like.

Save it.

We both knew it might come to this, and it has.

I have to arrest you. Just--

Do it quietly.

You don't understand.

No I'm pretty sure I do.

Drop the bags. Put your hands up.

Tinny!

[Bang]

Bye, bye, Pretty.

[Tires squealing.]

Son of a--

[Bang]

Dad.

[Bang]

[Bang]

You miss me Jake!?

[Bang]

[Bang]

[Bang]

[Bang. Bang.]

This is therapeutic, Doyle. You should try it sometime.

[Bang]

Good idea!

Why don't you toss me over your g*n.

[Bang. Bang.]

Or not!

Stop taunting him. It's all bad enough!

Gossard: Hey--

You think you could let me go?

I'm kinda getting sh*t at here.

We probably shouldn't let him die.

Yeah, we'd hate to rid the world of this charming cr*ck dealing arsehole.

[Bang]

Get outta here.

[Bang]

This ain't over.

Me and you. We still got business.

Less talkie talkie--
More runnie, runnie.

[Bang]

Now, what, hotshot?

Well, we got these.

Might as well make use of them, wha?

[Bang]

Rose: I hate to say it,
but Becker's plan is brilliant.

If he and Crocker pull off this heist, they'll have millions in dr*gs and a load of other valuables.

Come on, come on. Pick up.

Des, you okay?

No. She's not picking up.

I've called Tinny like, ten times.

And she's not picking up.

Okay, but that doesn't mean anything, honey.

Like, she doesn't usually pick up her phone when she's at work.

I should have done something.

What are you talking about?

You cracked the clue on that tape.

That was huge for us.

No. I could have done more. Instead of--

Instead of leaving her with Grayson.

Is that even a real name?

He can't protect her!

Des.

Calm.

How do you do it?

Do what?

Be calm.

When everyone keeps putting their life in danger.

You trust that they're good at what they do.

Just as I trust that you know what you're doing when you're out there.

Now, go on. Give your quasi-girlfriend another call.

What? Us? Girlfriends?

I mean, boyfriends?

I mean, dating? I mean--

I'm just gonna dial.

[Bang]

[Bang. Bang.]

[Sirens]

Come on. Come on.

Anything?

No. There's no answer.

This doesn't look good.

Have we got any cars closer on the way?

Sadly, we're it for now.

You know the situation.

If Crocker and Becker are there already, God knows what's happened.

Becker: Are you enjoying the show, son?

We should go.

The cops are gonna be here any second.

We're not going anywhere until we empty that transport into the ambulance.

And you remember your kid.

I got a far reach. And my hands don't have to do it.

I got people everywhere.

Here we go.

Becker: What the hell is this?

Aha!

I don't need eyes to k*ll you, Doyle!

[Bang. Bang.]

I've been visualizing this for a long time.

[Bang. Bang.]

Ah!

I was worried about you.

Someone hit me.

One of the Doyles.

I'm sure it was.

Maurice!

Get into the ambulance.

This is not the end of it.

Looks that way to me.

[Punch]

Okay. Malachy. I sincerely apologise here.

But it's gonna be best for all of us if we just play along.

Go ahead. Do it! Off him!

[Punch]

I was trying to fix everything!

Jake: Dad!

Come on. Get up!

Get up!

I'm coming after you!

I don't think so, Pal.

[Tires screech.]

Hey! Becker.

Becker! Becker!

So long, Crocker.

See you by and by.

Becker!

Jake: I got Crocker!

Don't worry. We'll be okay.

Is it bad?

Oh, you'll be fine.

You'll be fine, my love.

Becker: We always are.

Lord, dy'in.

Sarah. How are you doing, my love?

These Doyles are like mice.

You see one, there's a hundred more hidden in the trees.

[Buzz]

She's still not answering.

Wait. She just sent me a text.

Is she okay?

Grayson's not with her, is he?

No. She's fine.

Um. Oh damn. Okay.

She's in an ambulance with Becker.

It's his getaway vehicle and she's gonna make a move.

What? No! That's a very bad idea. She-

Okay. I thought you meant with Grayson.

No, wait. That's still a very bad idea.

Yeah, I know. I'm texting her.

Okay. We gotta call Mal.

[Ring]

Hey, partner!

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you didn't want to face me.

[Tires screech.]

[Phone rings.]

Rose? I'll have to call you back.

I'm in the middle of something.

Malachy, this is important.

I'm on a high speed chase with Maurice Becker, who's driving an ambulance.

I know. Tinny's inside.

What?

She's gonna try and stop Becker.

[Crash]

[Horn honks]

Malachy?

Mal?

One down. Ninety nine to go.

Police.

Stop the vehicle. You're under arrest.

I said stop the vehicle and put you hands where I can see them.

Hey.

Katrina.

Did you really think it was gonna be this easy?

[Sound of g*n cocking.]

Huh?

[Horn blares.]

Rose: Mal?

Malachy, why aren't you answering?

Okay. Okay. He probably--

He probably just dropped his phone.

Or something.

He'll be okay.

Yeah. Yeah.

Well! You got me!

You cannot-- outrun a man with such determination in his mind.

What can I say?

You filled me with inspiration.

Let's finish this.

Yeah.

Yeah. It's been a long time coming.

And now, Jake.

I am gonna have to k*ll you.

There's the m*rder*r that I know and hate.

So. This is it, huh?

It all comes down to this, doesn't it?

You want to take a moment?

Enjoy the view before I throw you off?

Come on.

We all know how it's gonna end up.

With me on top.

Because I always fight dirtier.

And I'll do anything to win.

See, I knew he was in there. That crooked cop.

I don't remember us having this communication problem when we were partners.

Where the hell did we go so wrong?

Oh, I don't know.

Maybe when you k*lled that missus.

Or when you kidnapped the little girl, who turned out to be your kid.

Jakie, Jake, Jake.

You're so trapped in the past.

[Punch]

Just let me go.

If you surrender--

Surrender?

Is that what you said?

Surrender? No, no. No, sweetie.

That's not gonna happen.

What about your friend?

Don't worry about me, baby.

You're insane.

Huh?

I warned your uncle and your grandfather to stay out of my business.

They pushed me to this.

I warned them.

But they kept coming.

They're gonna stop you.

You're not gonna get away from here.

You'd think that, wouldn't you? Yes.

Your grandfather had a bit of an accident in the car.

Now how good a driver are you?

[Punch]

[Punch]

I'm not going back to jail, Jake.

You're gonna have to k*ll me.

Suit yourself.

[Punch]

[Punch]

You leave me no choice, partner.

Sorry, this is the end.

You gonna k*ll me?

You don't k*ll me--

I'm gonna k*ll you!

[Siren]

Becker: Ha, ha!

No sir!

Not a bad plan at all.

Arrgh.

Let go!

Crocker.

Kevin. Crocker.

Oh my God. What have I done?
