("The Adventures Of Bottle Top Bill")
♫ Bottle Top Bill
♫ And his best friend, Corky
♫ Up on the hill
♫ Let's watch them as they play
♫ Playin' all day
♫ Hooray
- [Bill] The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill
- [Corky] And his best friend, Corky.
♫ Bottle Top Bill
- [Corky] Time for an adventure, Bill?
- [Bill] It sure is, Corky!
- [Corky] And what's it called?
- [Bill] Today's adventure is called Tricky's Holiday.
- [Corky] It's a lovely day, Bill.
We should go and sit in the garden.
- Good idea, Corky!
- How about under that tree?
- Just the spot I was thinking.
- This is perfect.
(thudding)
- What was that?
- A peach, Bill.
It fell from the tree.
- Yum!
- We're not the only ones who'd like these peaches, Bill.
- You're right, Corky.
I know someone else who'd like them a lot.
- [Corky] Someone who is very white.
- [Bill] And who's very wooly.
- [Corky] Someone who loves to steal fruit from our garden.
- The Great Wild Wooly!
Should we keep a lookout?
- We should, Bill, just in case he tries to
sneak some of our peaches.
- Look, Corky!
Over there!
Do you think it's The Great Wild Wooly?
- [Corky] He looks very round.
- [Bill] And he's small.
- [Corky] And he has a suitcase.
- [Bill] It's Tricky the Troll!
- Hi, Bill!
Hi, Corky!
- Hello, Tricky!
- What are you up to?
- I'm going for a holiday!
- Where are you going?
- A place that's really nice and the people are even nicer.
- Sounds great!
- Where is it?
- Here!
- [Both] Here?
- You'd like to stay with us?
- Yes, please, but only if it's no trouble.
- Uh, no, I don't think it will be any trouble.
Will it, Corky?
- No, you're welcome to stay here, Tricky.
- That's exactly what I thought.
We'll have some top fun, we will.
- Top fun it will be, Tricky.
Come on in.
- But, Bill, what about The Great Wild Wooly
and our peaches?
- I think our peaches will be safe.
- If you say so, Bill.
(bleating)
(light suspenseful music)
(chuckling)
- [Bill] From now on, Tricky, our home is your home.
- [Corky] For as long as you want.
- [Bill] Just make yourself comfy.
- Comfy?
I like comfy!
Thanks!
Hey, now, this is comfy!
- Glad you like it, Tricky.
- Hey, look at those dirty marks!
Who didn't wipe their feet?
Bill?
Not Bill.
Corky?
Not Corky.
(gasping)
What do you know?
They're mine!
Sorry!
- It's no trouble, Tricky.
We'll clean up the mess.
- You just take it easy.
It's your holiday.
- You're such great friends!
And yes, please.
- Yes, please what, Tricky?
- I'd love one of those peaches.
- Oh, right.
Sure, Tricky.
- We should have offered you one earlier.
(chomping)
- Scrumptious!
Just one peach?
- Why not have them all, Tricky?
- Marvelous!
And they'll be even more marvelous when you bring my tea.
- Tea?
- Right, tea it is!
- And more peaches!
- Tea and peaches coming up.
- Yes, please!
This is going to be a great holiday!
- Do you notice anything different about this tree, Corky?
- What's that, Bill?
- I'm sure there were more peaches on it.
- I think you're right, Bill.
- But, where have they gone?
- They're not on the ground.
- It's a mystery, Corky.
- Anyway, this should be enough peaches, even for Tricky.
(chuckling)
- Here we are, with tea--
- And peaches!
- Thank you.
(slurping)
Yuck!
- What is it, Tricky?
- It is a little cold, just a little.
- We'll put some hot water in the pot.
- I don't want it too hot, though.
Hotter than warm but not so hot that it's very hot.
- I think we know what you want, Tricky.
- But, don't go to any trouble.
- No trouble.
Here, we brought you some more of these.
- Peaches!
(chomping)
- I think looking after Tricky's going to be a lot of work.
- But he is our guest, Bill, so we have to take care of him.
- You're right, Corky.
♫ Tricky the Troll!
♫ That's me, that's me!
- What's that awful sound, Bill?
- I think it's singing, Corky.
♫ I'm so funny
♫ Hee hee hee
- It is singing!
It's Tricky singing!
- [Bill] It sounds like he's upstairs.
- [Corky] And having a bath!
- [Bill] At least his muddy feet will get clean.
- [Corky] We'd better see if he wants anything.
♫ Tricky the Troll
♫ That's me, that's me
♫ Now I'm as clean as clean can be
- That's better.
I'm as clean as a whistle.
I'm a squeaky clean troll!
I wouldn't go in there.
It's a little teeny-weeny messy, but I'll clean it up later.
I don't want to be any trouble.
- What do you think, Corky?
Should we have a look?
- [Corky] I don't think we should, Bill.
We mightn't like what we'll see.
- [Bill] I'm sure it will be a mess,
but how big a mess?
(screaming)
- How can one small troll make a mess so big?
- I don't know how he did it, but he sure did it!
- What do we do, Bill?
- We've got to ask Tricky not to make so much mess.
- I hope he won't get upset.
- Tricky, we love having you here on your holiday--
- But--
- But--
(snoring)
- He's fast asleep, Bill.
- Let's leave him to have a nap.
- Do you think it's safe to leave him?
- What harm can he do when he's asleep?
He'll be fine.
- I hope you're right, Bill.
(snoring)
- Let's get Tricky some more peaches.
At least when he's eating, he's not making a mess.
- That's true, Bill.
Bill, there's not many peaches left on our tree.
- Where have they gone?
- Perhaps the wind's blown them away.
- Then, we'd better pick these before they all disappear.
(yawning)
- Looking after Tricky's made me tired, Bill.
- It's made me tired too, Corky.
- We need a good nap because
we've got a lot of cleaning to do.
- Lots and lots of cleaning.
(snoring)
(tires screeching)
(light suspenseful music)
(bleating)
(groaning)
- What a troll-ific nap!
And after a nap, a snack!
No peaches?
Bill? Corky?
Bill! Corky!
(snoring)
They're asleep.
I'll have to get the peaches myself.
What's this?
Where are all the peaches?
(gasping)
Aha!
Another one!
And another!
Wow, look at these peaches!
(bleating)
(screaming)
Bill! Corky!
Help!
- Bill, did you hear something?
- I did, Corky.
- Bill!
Troll in trouble!
(bleating)
- Paint me pink!
It's Tricky!
- And The Great Wild Wooly!
- [Bill] We've got to help them!
- [Corky] How will we do it?
- [Bill] We need a helicopter, Corky.
- [Corky] Good thinking, Bill!
(jaunty piano music)
- Ready, Corky?
- Ready, Bill!
(screaming)
(bleating)
What do we do, Bill?
- Lower the ladder, Corky.
I'll climb down.
- Be careful!
(light suspenseful music)
- Tricky, grab my hand!
(screaming)
- I can't!
- Bill, use the net!
- Thanks, Corky!
(light suspenseful music)
(screaming)
We've got them!
- Woohoo!
You can let them out now, Bill!
- Right-o, Corky!
(bleating)
- Right, let's land this chopper!
(triumphant music)
- [Bill] Where are you going, Tricky?
- Thanks, Bill.
Thanks, Corky.
I think it's time I went back to Fairyland.
- Don't you like our place anymore?
- Well, you do have some very strange creatures around here.
(bleating)
And, to tell you the truth, your house is very messy.
You should give it a good clean, you know.
- Paint me pink!
- Anyway, must get going.
Bye!
- Bye! - Bye!
- Well, Great Wild Wooly, I guess we have to thank you
for helping to get Tricky to go home.
- If you ever need a favor in return, Great Wild Wooly,
just let us know.
(bleating)
- What's the suitcase for?
- I think I know!
- The Great Wild Wooly wants a holiday?
- In our home!
(bleating)
Coming, Great Wild Wooly.
- Here's your juice.
- And here's your fruit.
(bleating)
He wants another cup of tea.
- Coming right up, Great Wild Wooly.
- I think I know someone else
who's going to need a holiday soon.
- Who's that, Corky?
- Us!
(chuckling)
- When you're right, Corky, you're right!
(bleating)
- [Corky] Is it time for an adventure, Bill?
- [Bill] It sure is, Corky!
- [Corky] Where will we start it?
- [Bill] Let's start in the kitchen.
(jaunty orchestral music)
- [Corky] What's the adventure called?
- [Bill] It's called Honey Sandwiches.
(jaunty orchestral music)
(tummy grumbling)
- That's strange, Bill.
Sounds like thunder.
- Not thunder, Corky.
(tummy grumbling)
That's my tummy.
- What's wrong, Bill?
(tummy grumbling)
- My tummy is telling me it's breakfast time.
- [Corky] What have we got, Bill?
- [Bill] There's bread--
- [Corky] And honey!
- Great!
We can have honey sandwiches for breakfast.
- First, lay out the slices, Bill.
- Then, spread on the honey.
Paint me pink, Corky!
We're clean out of honey!
- We must have eaten it all, Bill.
- We need some more.
- But, from where?
- [Bill] Bees make honey, Corky.
- [Corky] That's right.
They collect nectar from flowers--
- [Bill] And take it back to their beehive to make honey.
- [Corky] And we get the honey from their hive!
- But only a little, Corky,
so there's always honey left for the bees.
- But, who do we know with a beehive, Bill?
- I know who.
Follow me, Corky.
- I'm right behind you.
- [Bill] Have a guess where we're going.
- [Corky] Let me look for clues, Bill.
I see an apple tree--
- [Bill] With some big, delicious-looking apples!
- [Corky] I see a peach tree.
- [Bill] And look at those juicy peaches!
They're beauties!
- And I see a plum tree--
- Full of tasty--
Well, the tree should be full of tasty plums,
but there's hardly any plums on it.
- I know where we are, Bill.
This is Farmer Sam's place!
- Spot on, Corky!
Now, we only have to find him.
- [Corky] Would that be him, Bill?
- [Bill] He's a little small for Farmer Sam.
- [Corky] And I don't think Farmer Sam is so furry.
- [Bill] Or has a little tail, Corky.
- [Corky] It's Wag the Puppy!
(dog barking)
- Hello, Wag!
- Do you know where Farmer Sam is?
(dog barking)
- I think he wants us to follow him.
- [Corky] Wag is leading us to that farm shed, Bill.
- [Bill] Would Farmer Sam be there?
- [Corky] Let's hope so.
- [Bill] Hold on, Corky.
I think I can see him now!
- [Corky] You're right, Bill.
That is him!
That's Farmer Sam!
- Good morning, Farmer Sam!
- Good morning, Bill and Corky!
- How are you today?
- Very well, thank you, but also very busy.
I've been picking and packing plums all morning.
I'm taking my plums into town to sell at the market.
- [Corky] Oh, so that's why there aren't any
plums on your plum tree!
- [Sam] That's right!
- You've sure got a lot of plums to sell, Sam.
- Too many!
I can't fit them all on my trailer.
These ones are spare.
Would you like them?
- That would be great!
- Thanks, Sam!
- Plums and honey sandwiches!
What a breakfast!
- But, Bill, remember, we're out of honey.
- Paint me pink!
I almost forgot why we're here.
- Farmer Sam, we were wondering if we could have
a little honey from your beehive.
- Of course you can!
Just talk to my good friend who looks after it.
- Who's that?
- [Sam] I think you know who he is.
- [Corky] He does look familiar.
- [Bill] He's a good friend of ours, too!
- [Corky] A good friend made of straw!
- [Bill] Sandy the Scarecrow!
- Bill, Corky! Hello!
- Hello, Sandy!
- Sandy, I've got to go so I'm leaving you
to look after Bill and Corky.
- No problem, Sam.
(dog barking)
- And keep an eye on Wag, too, please.
- We'll look after him, Sam.
It will be our pleasure.
(dog barking)
- Bye, everyone!
(pleasant orchestral music)
- Bill, Corky, did I hear you say you wanted some honey?
- You got it, Sandy!
- Then, come with me.
I collect the honey for Farmer Sam and put it
in a large drum in the shed.
- You've got to be careful, Sandy.
Bees can sting.
- Only if you upset them and I always try not to upset them
because the bees are my friends.
(growling)
- What's that?
(growling)
(suspenseful music)
- [Bill] Is he your friend, too, Sandy?
- [Sandy] I don't think I know him.
- [Bill] He's very big!
- [Corky] And very fierce!
- [Sandy] I've never seen such a person!
- [Corky] He's not a person, Sandy.
- [Sandy] Then, who is it?
- It's the Great Grumpy Grizzly!
(growling)
- He's got the drum of honey!
- And he's taking it away!
(dog barking)
- Don't, Wag!
Don't follow the Great Grumpy Grizzly!
- Come back, Wag!
(growling)
(dog barking)
- Oh, dear!
What will we do?
- We've got to stop Wag!
- And get the honey back!
- After that Grumpy Grizzly!
(upbeat orchestral music)
- [Corky] Which was do you think he'll go, Bill?
- [Bill] I think he's heading for the river.
- [Corky] I didn't know bears could swim.
- [Bill] He won't need to swim, Corky.
Look!
- [Sandy] What's that?
- [Bill] A raft!
And I think the Great Grumpy Grizzly's going to get on it!
He's getting away!
- [Sandy] But where's Wag?
- [Corky] I see him!
(dog barking)
- Wag! Wag!
Come back!
- The Grizzly is heading towards the woods!
- [Bill] And Wag's following him!
(growling)
(dog barking)
- That puppy's going to get himself into a lot of trouble!
- Not if we can rescue him, Sandy!
- We'll have to swim across the river.
- But, I can't swim.
My straw will get all wet and soggy.
- It's all right, Sandy.
We'll get you across.
- And you won't get wet at all.
- Are you sure this will work?
- You bet!
Get ready, everyone!
I'll hold on first.
- And I'll hold onto you, Corky.
- And I'll hold onto you, Bill.
- And away we go!
(screaming)
- [Bill] Where are we heading, Corky?
- [Corky] It's a place with a lot of trees.
- [Sandy] And it's very dark.
- [Bill] It looks like the deep, dark wood!
- How are we going to find the Great Grumpy Grizzly
in this wood?
- Look!
There's a trail of drops!
- It's honey!
- It must be leaking from the honey drum!
- Where the honey drum is, the Great Grumpy Grizzly will be.
- And where he would be, Wag would be.
- Follow those drops!
(light suspenseful music)
- [Corky] I can see where the honey trail is leading, Bill!
- [Bill] So can I, Corky.
- [Sandy] It looks like a cave.
- [Corky] Not just any cave, Sandy.
- [Bill] The cave of the Great Grumpy Grizzly!
- What do we do now?
- The cave looks very dark.
Do we have to go in there?
- Let's just take a peek.
(suspenseful music)
- Can you see the Grizzly, Bill?
- No sign of him at all!
(growling)
(screaming)
(growling)
- He doesn't look happy to see us!
- What are we going to do?
(dog barking)
(whimpering)
(dog barking)
- What happened to the Great Grumpy Grizzly?
- I think Wag gave him a fright.
- Wag gave everyone a fright!
(dog barking)
- But, where did the Great Grumpy Grizzly go?
(whimpering)
- What's that sound?
- It's coming from over there.
(whimpering)
It's the Great Grumpy Grizzly!
- [Sandy] He looks very sad.
- And not grumpy at all!
- What's the matter, Mr. Grizzly?
(growling)
(tummy grumbling)
- Did you hear that, Bill?
- I did, Corky!
- The poor Grumpy Grizzly is hungry!
- I know how he feels.
(dog barking)
(growling)
(chuckling)
(tummy grumbling)
- We've got to help him, Bill.
- I've got an idea, Corky.
Mr, Grizzly, you've been very naughty,
stealing Farmer Sam's honey.
(growling)
- But, we know you only did it because you are hungry.
- If we found you something else to eat,
would you promise to be good?
(growling happily)
- And you'll never take the honey again?
(growling agreeably)
- Then, it's agreed!
- But, where's the honey drum?
- [Corky] Over there!
- It's still in one piece.
And there's still plenty of honey in it.
- Let's get you some breakfast now, Mr. Grizzly.
- And you, too, Bill.
- Breakfast for everybody!
The honey drum is back where it belongs.
- Good work, Great Grumpy Grizzly!
- Now, let's get you something to eat.
(growling happily)
- [Bill] There you are, Mr. Grizzly.
- You can have as many of our plums as you like!
- Now, the bees and the Great Grumpy Grizzly are happy.
- And it's time for us to be happy by getting some honey
- And having honey sandwiches for breakfast!
It's such a beautiful day, Bill.
We should have breakfast outside.
- [Bill] Great idea, Corky!
Actually, it's so late now that it will be
breakfast and lunch together.
- [Corky] I've cleaned up the garden table and chairs.
- [Bill] And I've laid out the plates and brought the bread.
- Now, all we have to do is sit down and eat.
Have you got the honey?
- You bet!
- That's the most delicious-looking honey I've ever seen!
- I can't wait to start eating it.
- Let's spread it on.
(pleasant orchestral music)
- Mm-mm!
Farmer Sam's bees did a top job when they made this honey.
- A super top job!
You know what, Bill?
This honey will be the best honey we've ever eaten.
- How come, Corky?
- Because we worked so hard to get it
and when you work hard for something,
it's always that much nicer.
(chuckling)
- When you're right, Corky, you're right!
