Whoo-hoo!

[engine chugging slows]

I love music.

When I visited Brazil,

I heard some

really exciting music

that made me wanna join in.

[whistle toots]

All aboard for a big adventure!

[lively percussive

music playing]

"Batucada."

[whistle toots]

Hey, Thomas.

Do you hear that?

It sounds like people are

getting ready for the carnival.

I've never heard music like

that until I came to Brazil.

-What do you call it?

-Batucada.

It's Brazilian party music.

Ooh, I love it!

Boom, boom, cha-cha-cha!

Boom, boom, cha-cha-cha!

Oops.

[giggles] I wish

I could stay and listen,

but I've got to deliver

these vehicle parts...

Oh!

That sounds like iron pellets.

See you later!

[whistle toots]

Olá, Fernando.

Hey, Thomas.

Nice beats.

You've got a good rhythm

going there.

-A good rhythm?

[laughs] Oh, yes, Fernando,

I suppose I have.

I am making some

great sounds today.

If you want to hear some

great sounds, Thomas,

you should check out

the carnival.

[gasps] A carnival?

Will there be party music

like batucada?

Of course.

-Yes!

It looks and sounds like fun!

Problem is,

we missed our train.

Can you give us a ride

to the carnival?

Oh, sorry, sir,

but I'm pulling

a goods train today,

not passenger coaches.

We can ride in your brake van.

Let's go!

Do you have any cars or cargo

I could take back to Rio?

Sure.
