Zero to 60 in 5-point-something seconds.

It'll answer your phone. It'll upload your playlists.

Yeah, it's got a 6.1 hemi, a V-8, 470 horsepower at the crank.

If you ask, she'll answer.

Not to mention it's a total chick magnet.

Least of my concerns. I'm off the market.

Uh, can you... can you afford it?

Absolutely.

Nice.

Okay, guys. That's terrific.

Um, should we head back to the dealership?

Don't, uh, don't be alarmed, sir. We're, uh, we're trained professionals.

Slam dunk! Traci's got it in the bag.

Depends who else applied.

No, it doesn't.

Yes, it does.

She has been in night school for three months.

She's literally taken every class with the word detective" in the title.

Doesn't matter. You know what matters? Personality.

Is she someone you'd want to be stuck in a van with all day, day after day?

That's the deciding factor.

Like I said, she has got it in the bag.

Right. She's got it all?

Personality!

Shut up.

Stop. Stop. Please stop the car.Sam, stop.

What? What? What? What happened?

What do you want? What do I want? It's not even 10:00 a.m. Yeah.

What's your point? Come on. It's hot. It's summer.

Okay, so I'm a little rusty. I called you once, texted you twice, didn't hear back.

You're testing me, right?

I don't know what you're talking about.

I'm supposed to take it as a challenge. It's all coming back to me.

Totally deadpan. That's actually impressive.

Uh, the other night, you and me?

Oh, yeah.

I really shouldn't drink tequila, 'cause I kinda do stupid things... so...

Uh, today's special is the eighth annual jamestown, uh, streetball tourney.

All right. There's four teams, five games. Passions are gonna run high.

Last couple of years, there have been some scuffles, of course, and, uh, one stabbing.

This year the visiting team is from the east end, from malvern, so if they humiliate the local boys, we could be busy.

I'll be working this one, keeping tabs. on who's landing the 6-month rotation with the, uh, detectives...

Nash.

Go, Traci!

So if anyone else wants to be considered, I need it in writing today.

Peck.

Applications... they come directly to you, sir?

Sooner the better.

Your assignments are on the board, so let's go, people... and stay cool out there.

Gail. Gail.

You're not seriously thinking of applying, are you?

You're not qualified.

And you are?

Yeah, 'cause I've been bustin' my ass for months. I've been taking all the courses.

Well, then I'm sure you will get it.

She's just messing with you.

Jerry, she's connected. She... she's a Peck.

She could scoop this thing.

Well, you have done everything right, so what will be will be.

What does that mean?

Trace, you're wiggin' out. Relax. It's a beautiful day.

So, what, buyer's remorse? You're pleading temporary insanity?

Yeah. More or less.

I don't buy it. I think you're terrified.

I think you've forgotten how good we are together, and now you're freakin' out.

You nailed it. I'm freaking out.

Let's go, pretty boy.

Yes, sir.

Williams, what are you doing?

Four shifts in a row stuck inside. Are you trying to bench me?

Of course not.

I switched with Nash. I told her you'd be fine with it.

I'm pregnant, Frank. I'm not made of glass.

Okay, I know that the neighborhood has a lot of gangs, but, uh, come on. It's their kids, their families.

So?

So they'd have to get b*at pretty bad if they were gonna start something.

That's what I love about you, McNally.

What, my naive belief in humanity?

Your relentless optimism in the face of experience, research, and reality.

That takes stones, big people-loving stones.

Oh, well, somebody's gotta love 'em.

This neighborhood is full of g*ng members.

They're all superfans. They love the game. They love their teams. They hate to lose.

Just like us when we play 27 division.

Well... let's just stay visible and let 'em know we're here, we're watchin'.

Yep, yep, yep.

It's a family event. There's kids here.

Everybody's having a good time today, guaranteed.

Attaboy. All right, Carl. It's good you're here. Thank you, pal.

You show up in colors, you get bounced.

Excellent. Okay. No problem.

Now I'll tell... I'll hold you to that.

Big fella right there, that's Doobie. You don't want to mess with Doobie.

Ex-army. - Yeah? What unit?

You know, the Marines or whatever, for real. For real, huh?

For real, huh? For real, I'm not messing with Doobie.

Thank you.

Take care.

Sergeant Best!

Aren't you looking good?

Roland Jones.

It's staff sergeant now.

Oh, is that right?

Yeah, that's right.

You're a joker, man.

How are you doin', man? When did you get out?

Sunday morning, yo.

God bless the system. The judge gives me eight years. I'm out in two, you know?

And you're right back in the business, huh?

No, man. No, man. I'm done with the drug dealing, man.

That's a young man's game. They can have that.

You're done?

Yeah, man. Yeah, I'm done.

Let's do some one-on-one. Come. Play some basketball.

I'd still kick your ass, Jones.

I don't think so.

Tell you what.

You let me know if there's anything going down, any rumble on the street.

Why would I do that, Frank?

'Cause you're smart. You're out on parole. I'm sure you want to stay out.

God bless the system.

Yeah, God bless the system.

But you see them devils there?

They're gonna win the whole thing. You can put money on that.

Yeah, I don't know, man. Look, Detective Job is all paperwork, you know?

I want to be out on the front lines talking to people, you know?

That's where the action is.

Dov?

Sorry?

You still thinking about that car?

You know, I'm officially three years ahead of schedule.

All right, first day at the academy, I had this picture of where I wanted my life to be in five years.

Amazing job, amazing friends, beautiful girlfriend.

Feels good?

There's only one thing that could possibly make my life any better.

Licorice. I need licorice.

Nice.

Oh, and, uh, make sure it's fresh. It's gotta be fresh. If it's not fresh...

There's no point.

Oh, and grab me a ginger ale.

Morning, sir.

Officer.

You guys have any licorice?

You work here?

Yeah.

Yeah?

You mind stepping out from behind the counter, please?

I asked you to step out from behind the counter.

Show me your hands.

Stand up! I said, "stand up!"

Hey, what's going on?

Get outside now!

1518. Possible 10-89 in progress. Corner of Glen Road and Howard.

Get outside now! Outside! Move! Stand up!

Put your hands above your head and stand up slowly.

Stand up slowly!

Get down on the ground!

1518. sh*ts fired. Officers need assistance.

You hit? Dov, are you hit?

I need help.

Chris. Chris!

The pressure bandage. Is he breathing?

I can't tell.

What do we have?

He's behind the counter.

g*nsh*t wound, upper left side.

Okay, I got this, so just... move. Move!

He still has vital signs.

Okay. Uh, sir. Sir. Okay. Thank you. We're gonna have to get you outside, okay? Sir, come on.

No, no. Sir, over here, please. You're just gonna have to wait here for a moment.

Just stay right here, sir, okay?

Someone's gonna be here to question you in a moment.

Hey, you guys. Are you guys okay?

Yeah. We're fine.

What happened?

I walked in on a robbery in progress.

The kid had a g*n.

You sh*t him?

Yes.

Diaz, where were you?

I was outside.

And who's this?

This is the clerk.

Anyone else inside? no.

All right. Listen up. We need to separate you.

Put Epstein in a squad car. Make sure he's cleaned up, all right?

Okay. Dov, let's go.

Diaz, you get in our squad car. You do not talk to anyone. Do you understand?

Yes.

Yes?

Yes.

Go.

What's your name, sir?

Trevor Santos.

Okay, Mr. Santos, I need you to stay right here, okay? All right?

This is just standard procedure, okay?

Just to isolate you, so you don't contaminate each other's evidence.

Yeah. No, I know. I know.

Front or back?

What?

Where should I sit?

Front or back?

Front.

Mcnally, where is Chris?

Uh, he's in the car.

Collins.

You're gonna get the yellow tape out, and you're gonna set up the perimeter, okay?

There's gonna be an even bigger crowd soon, and we are not giving out any information.

Got it.

Okay? Do it. Move.

Is gonna question you both on, um, everything they can think of, really, and the investigation is gonna take about a couple of weeks.

Um, you'll be on administrative duty, but then you'll be cleared, and everything will go back to normal.

They're rushing. The EMTs. That's good.

Means he's alive, right?

Yep.

Come here.

Epstein, this is Alex Moreland from S.I.U.

Officer Epstein, I'm gonna need you to surrender your w*apon.

Not here, all right?

In the car.

Just relax. Don't make a big deal of it.

I'm over here.

Hey, man.

One eyewitness?

Uh, not really. Store owner was standing in the doorway. Says he didn't see anything.

When he's done with S.I.U., I'll take him in. We'll have a chat.

What about the security camera?

Busted.

Yeah, of course it is. Hey, did you get the victim's g*n?

I haven't recovered the g*n yet.

Really?

It'll be here somewhere.

All right. Well, let's not worry about it. I'm sure we'll find it.

Gentlemen. Joe Fernandez, S.I.U.

Yeah, I'm Jerry Barber. This is Sam Swarek.

Thank you.

Officer was one of yours?

That's right.

We're invoking our mandate. We have control of the scene now.

This is our investigation, understood?

You'll have the opportunity to get back in here. For now, I'm gonna ask you both to step out.

I'm gonna be right outside, so, uh, don't screw this up.

So we're gonna need your uniform and your boots, too.

There's a set of clothes for you. This is what I want you to do.

I want you to get changed, put your uniform on the table, and then wait for me inside here, okay?

Yes.

Officer Epstein, you do have the right to have counsel present if you wish.

No. It's... it's okay. It's, uh, it's pretty straightforward.

Okay. I'll see you in a couple minutes.

I already gave a statement to those other guys.

Yeah, those other guys were S.I.U. We're real police.

Thank you for your patience, Mr. Santos.

Just follow me. It will just be a couple of minutes.

Frank, any word from the hospital?

Yeah, the kid just went into surgery. I haven't heard anything yet.

Where's the witness?

Right here. We're just about to sit down with him.

All right. Well, take your time.

He's the only one that knows it was a cop that pulled the trigger.

I'm in no rush for that information to come out, all right?

Yeah. I'll keep you posted.

So far, so good. It's a party.

Yeah, well, let's just hope it stays that way.

We didn't know it was being robbed. Officer Diaz stayed in the car.

Uh, as I approached the store, I went in, and the young man...

Do you know his name?

Tyler Markes.

Mr. Markes was behind the counter.

I knew right away something was off.

Wait a minute.

How did you know something was off?

Uh, it was... I just... it was a feeling.

He, uh, he was behind the counter. He was, um, wearing a hoodie.

Okay.

Just a feeling, so I asked him to step out from behind the counter, and, um, he... he didn't. He, uh...

Sorry. Just... I cat... one second.

I asked him to step out from behind the counter.

He didn't. He ducked down where I couldn't see him.

I called for backup.

The owner came in from outside. That's when I saw it.

He stood up, and he was pointing a g*n at me.

What kind of g*n was it?

I don't know.

Caliber?

I... I don't know.

What about the color?

Black? Silver?

It was, um... it was not silver. It was black.

Okay, so you drew your w*apon?

Yes. No. Uh, it was... I had already drawn it. It was, uh... w*apon was already out.

And what happened next?

He stood up. He was pointing his g*n at me, and I sh*t him.

How many times?

Twice.

Why did you stay in the car? Why didn't you go inside with your partner?

Uh, no reason. Uh, Dov just wanted licorice. I was just gonna wait outside.

In your opinion, does Officer Epstein have a short temper?

Does he tend to lose his cool?

No. Not at all.

Have you ever heard him make any r*cist statements?

What?

These are standard questions, Officer Diaz.

Y... no. No, uh, never.

Officer Epstein, did you know the victim?

Sorry?

Have you ever had previous experience with the victim?

No.

A warning? Witness statements?

No.

Previous calls in the neighborhood?

Yes, but that... of course.

Were you looking for Tyler Markes today?

I'm sorry?

Did you intend to sh**t him?

I... I changed my mind. I'd like a lawyer, please.

Okay.

It happened so fast. I saw the cop draw a g*n.

I put my hands up like this, and the other cop pulled me back.

Did you see the kid?

Uh, n... no, not really.

What does that mean?

Did you see him or not?

Just a second.

Did he have a g*n?

I... I don't know. I didn't see.

Is he a member of a g*ng?

No, no. I stay out of that stuff. That's none of my business.

You getting anything from this guy?

No. Not yet.

Has he got a sheet?

Yeah, he's got two priors.

I mean, drug stuff. He's on parole.

All right. S.I.U. turned the store upside down. So did I.

There's no g*n, so unless this guy starts talking, the only thing that puts a g*n in the kid's hand... that's Epstein's statement.

That... that is none of my business.

It is your business. You have to protect yourself.

Gotta go.

It would take you all of two seconds to find out if that kid was in a g*ng.

No. How much longer am I gonna be here?

That's completely up to you, Mr. Santos. Look, we can keep doing this.

You can keep telling us that you didn't see anything, but I gotta say, that's what you do, I'm gonna become your new best friend.

What are you talking about?

I'm gonna come to your store every day, just to say hi, you know, chat, laugh.

I'm gonna make sure that every single person in your neighborhood knows just how tight you are with the cops.

This is harassment.

Sit down.

Mr. Santos, I know you're scared. Just tell us the truth.

You saw Tyler Markes had a g*n. You saw he was about to sh**t Officer Epstein.

No. He wasn't.

The kid wasn't armed. He was clean. You want to know what I saw?

I saw a cop sh**t a kid in cold blood.

So who's got a problem with the neighborhood now?

I watched that kid grow up.

Tyler, I knew him his whole life.

My condolences, Jones.

Are you sure there's nothing you wanna tell me, Frank?

You know, this information thing, I'm thinking, should be a 2-way street... give and take.

Meaning what?

Meaning that maybe it was a cop that sh*t that boy.

Was your boy ganged up?

Now that's not the point.

If it is a cop and they find out, there's gonna be trouble, Frank.

You can believe that. Trouble.

We're not feeling the love here, sir.

Can I make a suggestion?

We could shut this whole thing down right now, sir. There's a lot of people here.

Any of these guys have a*t*matic weapons They belong to a g*ng. That doesn't make 'em barbaric or stupid.

Stay on channel 3.
H... how'd it go?

Fine. You?

I don't know, man. The, uh, the questions... they were.

They were pretty crazy.

It's okay. They're just doing their job.

Have we, uh, heard anything from the hospital yet?

Yeah, uh... he didn't make it. He d*ed in surgery.

I'm sorry, Dov.

He, Dov.

It gets worse. They can't find the g*n.

We're gonna keep lookin'... but we need to talk about what happens if we don't recover that g*n at the scene.

So... the worst-case scenario is that they find that your life was not in danger and you used excessive force.

That doesn't sound good.

Hey, don't worry about that. We're not there yet, but we have to be prepared for the worst.

So, Epstein, the kid... he had a g*n?

Yes.

You're sure?

What happens if he didn't?

Jerry's looking for you.

Yeah, I know. He's called me 15 times.

Look, um...

I don't know. I... I don't.

I can't remember what I saw anymore. I mean, I... I'm trying, but I...

Dov, you saw a g*n.

Yeah, but what if he didn't have one?

How do I live with that? What do I do with that?

I think you know what you saw. You know, we all believe you, but, you know, if it turns out that it wasn't quite like that, then, uh... we'll work from that.

Where is he?

He's, uh, he's in the gym.

He's starting to doubt his own memory. This whole thing could turn.

I want to talk to the witness.

You can't. You can't go near him.

Uh, he was right there. I mean, I pulled him out of the store.

He must have seen everything. Why would he lie about that?

What?

Jerry. What's happening with Dov?

Well, assuming I can find him, I'm gonna walk him through it and try and determine some facts.

Do you believe his story?

Doesn't matter what I believe.

Jerry, he saw a g*n.

You want to be a detective, start thinking like one, which means you don't form a conclusion and find evidence to support it.

You establish facts, and then you follow them.

You see where they take you.

Okay, but this is Dov...

No, no, no. Question everything. Doubt everything.

He had a second to form a judgment, maybe less.

It could have been a g*n in the kid's hand, but it could have been a phone.

It could have been nothing.

Look, I want to believe him, but I got a job to do.

So do you.

So I've been going through your file.

You've got two convictions... possession, possession for the purpose of.

Went to jail for two years. I mean, very straightforward, but then I noticed this.

I mean, these are incident reports.

Your store has been robbed 17 times in the last 2 years.

So?

Well, did you have a g*n in the store, Mr. Santos? Maybe behind the counter?

No. No way.

Are you sure?

Yeah, I'm sure.

Yeah. No, I'd probably say the same thing, too, if I were you, I mean, given that you're on parole, because, you know, if you had a g*n, you would be going straight back to prison.

That's what Tyler was after. He knew there was a g*n, went in to steal it, maybe even use it to rob the place, but he didn't get that far, and this guy is lying.

Because he's on parole.

The only problem is there's no g*n.

So let's go back, have another look.

Yeah, it's not there, Sam.

We're not gonna find it.

How many times do I have to say this?

There was no g*n.

I don't know. I'm psyching myself out.

I keep thinking somebody's gonna come out of nowhere and just, like, take it from me.

Not gonna happen.

Well, I hope not.

But one of the courses that I took, principles of interrogation, I learned this technique that's supposed to help witnesses see things a little bit more clearly.

What, you want to try it out on me?

I do.

Yeah, okay. Knock yourself out.

Okay. Sit down.

Okay.

Just, like, get comfortable. Make yourself comfortable... and close your eyes.

Close your eyes.

Okay.

Now put yourself back at the scene.

Okay. You've just arrived at the store. Now tell me... not what you see, but tell me what you feel, what you hear. What do you smell?

Uh, I smell detergent.

There's fish that's a little bit off in the freezer.

Okay. That's good. That's good. What do you hear?

I hear traffic. A motorcycle.

I hear, uh, something on the radio.

I can't make out exactly what, uh, and then the owner is yelling.

I tell him to shut up. Dispatch is in my walkie, and...

That's it.

Okay. Feel. What do you feel?

My hand... is on my g*n, on the grip.

I pull it from my holster.

I'm scared for a second, frozen. Then I jump back, and I hit... a shelf.

S... something falls from the shelf, hits the floor.

My finger... touches the trigger. I squeeze.

The g*n bucks hard, like a punch. Bam!

Second sh*t's softer, like, uh... more like a pop.

Why did they sound different?

I don't know. My ears were ringing and...

How many times did you fire?

Twice. I told you. Bang! Pop.

Well, is it possible that he fired, too?

Dov must be freaking out right now.

I wasn't expecting this coming back.

Thought it would be a bit more...

Peaceful?

Guys, hey. Would you mind lifting up your shirts for me, please?

Yeah, this isn't Kandahar.

Come on. Come on. Indulge me. Just lift 'em up and swivel.

Uh, 1521. We're near St. James and Bleecker.

Someone just threw a shopping cart at us.

People are leaving. They're scared.

Yeah. I want you out of here. I want you back at the precinct.

Frank, knock it off.

Hey, I outrank you. If you don't like it, file a grievance.

Wait right here for a second.

Roland. What do you want?

Listen. People are leaving, and my men are under att*ck. What's going on here?

I have nothing to say to you.

Hey, listen.

What happened to you, Frank?

It doesn't matter to you no more, as long as we're sh**ting each other.

Ishat how it is?

What are you talkg about?

What am I talking about?

You knew all along it wasn't a g*ng sh**ting.

You knew it... all along.

You know what? It's a cop that sh*t Tyler. It was a cop that sh*t Tyler!

And one of yours.

Where did you hear that from?

It don't matter where I heard it from. Take your hands off me.

You know what? If you want, you arrest me. Arrest me!

All right. Then I guess we're done here.

Come on. We're done.

What was that?

Things just went from bad to worse.

So Dov was about... here?

No, uh, take a step back.

I'm Tyler. I'm behind the counter. Duck down.

I come back up. Boom!

Okay, guys. I get it. All right. You trust your friend. You want to believe him.

Dov's been over these two or three seconds a thousand times, and each time, it gets less clear.

I got something.

Seriously?

Yeah.

Right here. Let's see.

Yeah, you do.

Got it?

Okay, we got a b*llet. Where's the g*n? it's gotta be here.

Well, it isn't, because we've looked.

Now this place has been robbed 17 times.

Any one of those times could account for that b*llet.

Tyler fell here.

Andy, stand where Dov was again.

Okay.

Can you see me right now?

No.

How about now?

No.

What about now?

There were two of them. There was someone else behind the counter.

He was crouched down, so Dov couldn't see him.

So Tyler gets sh*t, other guy picks up the g*n.

And then runs out the back door.

There was a third man.

It's possible.

It's possible.

I assume you're here to tell us who sh*t my brother.

We're still working on that.

What does that mean... "you're still working on it"?

Crystal.

Because we heard it was a cop.

We... we can't give any details right now. I'm sorry.

Uh, Tyler's friends, was there anyone, uh, he spent a lot of time with, maybe got into a little trouble with?

You're trying to put this on my brother.

Uh, no.

You're saying i... it was his fault.

No, no.

We just want to find out if someone else was there who saw what happened.

They're talking about Cory.

Cory Barnes.

They've been best friends since grade two. They did everything together.

Cory's been arrested a couple of times.

Uh, do you have an address for Cory?

Oh, I'm not gonna speak for Cory. Cory can speak for himself.

I'll get you his number.

Mom, don't bother.

They don't care.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for your time.

If anything comes up, we'll definitely let you know.

I'm trying hard to believe you.

In this neighborhood, most of the time, police are the enemy.

We're really sorry about your son and your brother.

I want to thank everybody for coming out and supporting the neighborhood.

Give yourselves a hand.

We are pulling the plug on this tournament.

I want everyone out of this park now.

Okay. Be calm. Stay firm. Do not back down.

All right, folks. The party's over.

Come on. Everyone out. Let's go.

Everyone leave the park and go home, okay?

For what? We live here.

Right.

Turn around and start walking.

Or what?

He's not asking.

Oh, yeah? What, you gonna sh**t me, too?

All right. That's enough.

Roland, just ask your friends to leave, please.

Easy, easy.

Come on, Roland. It's over, man.

I don't think so.

This is over. This is over.

Go home.

Or join your pal in a 4x6.

Frank!

Yeah.

You good?

I'm down!

Get him out of here.

Get him out of here! Dispatch, this is 1519.

Keep moving. Keep walking. Get in your cars and go.

Get up!

You okay?

Yeah.

Move it!

This kid's only 17. He already has 3 convictions.

Well, he's certainly got the right address.

This building's notorious.

Been lit up with g*n calls and drug busts for years.

Sam, behind us. I think that's him. The gray hoodie.

Yep.

Stay with him, McNally!

Sir, mov no more running today. That's it.

How ya doin', partner? Can you give him a pat-down, please?

Let's get that hand there.

You know what, jonesy?

You still here?

One week, fresh out of the hole. You could have walked away.

Man, you know what, Frank? If there ever was a mistake made... it was talking to you in the first place.

Tell Sergeant Shaw I'll be back for that, eh?

Yo, Staff Sergeant, you should be thanking me.

I helped your ass out, man.

My ass?

Yeah.

It was all about you, jonesy.

Wha... what?

It was all about you trying to buy yourself some street cred.

I still helped you out, man... easy.

I took the pressure off. Hold on a second.

Me and you... we go way back.

Come on, man. Think you can cut me some slack, huh?

Maybe I will.

Epstein. Good. Come in.

You recognize this young man?

No, sir.

Well, he was in the store with you this morning, and he ran out the back... with this.

38 snub nose. Ballistics matched it to a b*llet we found in the store.

It was a good sh**t.

Thank you.

You wanted to see me, sir?

Well, you got it, Nash. The rotation, it's yours if you want it.

I want it.

Good. Good. You're the best prospect we've seen in a long time.

Thank you, sir. Thank you.

All right.

Don't expect me to go easy on you.

Your first day, I'm gonna open a big ol' can of whup-ass.

All right. Let's celebrate.

I'm thinking something bubbly.

You know, it's been a long day, and I kinda want to go home and see leo.

Yeah, I'm good with that.

Okay.

You are happy, though, right, about the rotation? I mean...

Yeah. Aren't you?

Yeah. Yeah. No, it's gonna be great.

Okay. I'll see you at the car.

You totally deserve it.

I should never have even applied.

Then why did you?

Well, 'cause I'm a Peck, and there are...

Certain expectations that go with the name.

Peckspectations?

You... you are so lucky, Traci. You know exactly what you want.

You ready?

Yeah, I guess you were right.

About what?

Reality.

Dov slammed right into it today.

You know, you're right. You expect the worst... and you'll never be disappointed.

Are you kidding me? You believed in him.

If Dov's clear, it's because of you guys.

You comin' over?

That's optimism.

Nah, that's experience.

I'm not here to control you. I just want to keep you safe.

I know.

Look, Noelle, it is d...

I know, okay? I... I get it.

I got scared today. I actually got scared. I mean... some numb-nuts knocks me down, and all I can think about is losing what I never thought I'd have... so from on, I will ride the desk, all right?

And I will even try and like it.

No, you won't.

No, you'll hate it, every bit of it.

Yep.

All right.

Get in.

We need to lay some serious ground rules, okay?

Okay.

Don't look at me, don't touch me, and don't give me those, like, really weird, creepy, meaningful looks.

Am I allowed to recall what you look like naked?

Do you want me to punch you in the face?

Were you a friend?

I'm sorry?

Of Tyler's.

Did you know him?

No, uh, I was just... passing by.

Are you gonna go to your appointment today?

I tried therapy when my brother d*ed, talking doesn't really help.

You need to deal with what happened here.

You're gonna tell me what I wanna know. That's how this works.

Your brother had a g*n. He sh*t at me.

I had no choice but to sh**t him.

Let's have a round of applause for Nash who will be starting her six-month rotation with the D's today.

****

Looks like Tracy just got her first case.

Okay Nash, what's it's gonna be?

Move the car.

Who said this car could be moved?

You need to stay as far away from this investigation as possible.

This is my mess, I need to fix it.

If she knows what's good for her, she'll back off.
