I'm surprised you haven't heard.

I'm not the Sheriff anymore.

I came to Bear Valley looking for a quieter life and I realized I wasn't going to get it being a cop.

That is the one thing that protects our kind.

Humans can never know our secret.

That's too great a risk!

There were rumours thirty years ago of a baby girl, Sasha's child.

[Effort yell]

Argh!

Konstantin: He's been running away from the truth after causing your own mother's death.

You k*lled her!

She couldn't live after what you did!

You showed her what you are!

Your mother was my sister.

Roman's daughter.

Sasha: Alexei is about to go through one of the most painful and frightening experiences of his life.

[Gasping, groaning]

Jeremy: Let me deal with her. You take Sasha.

Elena: Jeremy's focus has been on bigger issues.

I don't agree with all of his solutions.

Get Katia away from Stonehaven, someplace safe.

I think the Russians are coming after her.

Woman: [On phone] You're not here.

Man: Sonja, we agreed. Emergencies only.

You know I'm roaming out here.

Sonja: Well, this is an emergency. I can't seem to keep my clothes on. Oops, there goes my bra...

All right, stop, just stop, okay?

Sonja: It's my mother. She's on me about what she should bring to the BBQ tomorrow and she made some cr*ck about grilling deer.

Yeah well, maybe I should bring this wolf urine.

Does a good job of keeping the deer away.

Maybe it'll work on her.

Sonja: Why won't you just let me tell her why you're really out there?

No, no, because then I'm going to get her sad puppy dog eyes.

And I've had enough of that.

Sonja: Okay, but you will be back in time for this stupid thing, right?

Trevor: Yeah, I'll be home.

I don't want to be out here when the hunters show.

Sonja: Well if they were more careful, you wouldn't have to do this every year.

Trevor: Yeah, well, I want to.

It keeps the deer away.

And that's all that matters.

Sonja: I love you. I'll check in with you in the morning.

Rachel isn't answering?

Nick: No. But...

Elena: Is Katia within earshot?

She's in the restroom.

Elena: Tell her Sasha is resting upstairs.

But so that you know, Anson Haight is on his way here to help.

Okay. What about the others?

Elena: Marsten and Cain are en route.

Clay is with Alexei.

I'll get Jorge on to tracking the Russians.

Once we know where they went, we can make a plan, but I...

I'm more concerned about Jeremy.

So no one is with him?

He told me he wants to be alone.

Did Morgan see Alexei change?

If Jeremy is convinced that she didn't see him change, if he can get her out of that room alive, he will.

You really think he'll give her the benefit of the doubt?

Alexei: [Groaning, yelling]

A blow like that... can make a person hallucinate the strangest things.

It's all I have, but it'll help with the pain.

You're going to feel dazed for a little bit.

People use it in Dawson to keep deer out of their gardens.

Deer hunting season starts tomorrow.

Maybe he's some sort of an activist.

If he's experienced in the woods, he'll know how to find his way out of here.

Stung in my mouth. It made me stop.

If Roman crossed at Niagara, then we'll see if we can track them through Southern Ontario.

Sasha: Is this about Roman?

He's in Canada, huh?

A woman who's calling him.

He finds out he's about to become a werewolf?

There's little chance he's going to want to learn to live like us and give up everything he loves.

We don't know him.

We don't know the people who know him. It's too risky.

So he's dead either way.

It started out as an obligation.

I didn't expect to fall in love.

The first time I saw her, she was in the graveyard in the town, she was putting flowers on your grandmother's grave.

I could not help myself, I had to speak to her.

And so I lied, I told her my mother was buried there, too.

The next day I took her for coffee.

And I never wanted to let go.

She had no idea who you were?

No... Not at first. But I couldn't stay away. And soon, I was... seeing her every moment that I could. You know, I was hiding. Torn between my Alpha and my love. My duty and my dream. I couldn't bear to lie to her anymore. Not after I found out she was pregnant with you. I loved her too much.

Someone sent by her father to check in on her.

They're thinking about what's in the freezer for dinner, or how to tell someone they're sorry.

They love and they hurt and they are.

Then there's a ripple effect.

Trevor's friends.

Sonja.

His mother. Maybe he has kids.

People who love him. People who rely on him.

Their lives are forever changed by what you've done.

The red-eyed wolf who k*lled my mother?

He didn't care about any of that.

Neither did the wolf who k*lled mine.

[ ♪♪ ]

And her death?

I shared our secret.

I broke the rules.

I let your mother see me change.

And she loved me anyway.

But there's no going back from that.

On the day she d*ed, everything was calm.

[Baby fussing]

When I rose up through the ranks and got busy, and her life happened and before I knew it, she met Josh.

Whirlwind romance, down on one knee...

I was the maid of honour.

The morning of her wedding, I got a call.

I was still on the force in Baltimore.

I had been trying to solve that case for years.

Domestic homicide.

A witness came forward.

He was going to be deported, we had the tiniest window of opportunity, so I took it.

It was my responsibility.

That case wasn't going to get solved otherwise.

It's a good thing I got here when I did.

Sepsis can get into the organs, shuts everything down.

Have you tended to many werewolves?

I was stationed in Fallujah, and there was a sn*per.

Pinned down a wounded soldier in my battalion, out in the open.

And if I went out to help, if I got sh*t and the medics knocked me out, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to control my Change.

I could play it safe or I could do the right thing.

Not really a choice.

So I ran out and hauled my guy to safety.

Took one in the leg.

Carved it out of myself later.

Did he survive?

The soldier?

But I wasn't going to let him die out there alone.

Jeremy: [On phone] I spoke to Jorge, he just landed in Syracuse.

He told me that Marsten and Cain are on their way to you, and that you had him track Roman.

He found a line of credit cards that lead to Southern Ontario.

Thank you.

Elena: Are you coming back?

Jorge is going to come here and clean up the room.

Jeremy: And he's going to bury Morgan.

[Sighing]

Jeremy...

He's going to take her car to the airport.

That will buy us a little bit of time before her family knows that she's missing.

And you?

I'm going to go after Roman.

Elena: No, you can't go by yourself.

Take Cain, take Clay, take me.

You can't go after Roman alone.

No, you have to stay there and oversee things, Elena.

I have to do this on my own.

No...

You are not leaving me in charge, Jeremy!

You are coming back! Please...

Jeremy: You know, it's fitting that a Russian said it best. It was Dostoyevsky.

He said that "the mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive... but in having something to live for."

You've given me that.

You gave me something to fight for, above and beyond just Pack rules.

[Quiet sobs]

And I'm not going to let Roman take that away from me.

I'm not going to let him take you away from me.

[Shaky exhale]

I'm going to do what must be done, Elena.

Elena: Don't hang up.

[Choked sob]

Looks like an animal att*ck.

We'll leave the body here for someone to find.

Let his loved ones have some closure.

It was the wolf in me.

The wolf was excited to att*ck this guy.

Feeling that adrenaline rush... it was unbelievable.

What if that's who I am?

[ ♪♪ ]

Sonja: [On voicemail] Hey, babe! Sorry for bitching about my mom. She's bringing salad. Did you move the deck chairs to the cottage? They're not in the shed.

[Chuckling]

I am the worst. Bothering you while you're out there, keeping the deer away, making sure no one else loses a kid brother to a stray b*llet. I love you.

[ ♪♪ ]

[ ♪♪ ]

Clay: Elena!

[ ♪♪ ]

[Mouthing silently]

[ ♪♪ ]

Every one of us gets to this place in a different way.

We need each other.

It's the only way we can do this.

I'll get him under control.

What about my father?

He's resting upstairs.

He's been through a lot as well and he could use your strength right now.

I found this at the front gate.

[Device clicks into computer]

Jeremy called.

Morgan.

She saw.

Jorge is on his way, he'll handle it.

Jeremy's gone after Roman.

Where?

I don't now. He demanded we not follow him.

But we have to go.

[Fighting yells and groans on video]

[Groan, cough]

[Impact, screaming]

It's Marsten.

[Yelling in pain]

Marsten: [On video] Please, enough! Enough!
