The L Word - x - Loyal and true

So, I might think it's a start on our first cut.

Still very rough.

I'm working on the order in little scenes.

So what are you thinking about prints and adds?

Well, we're gonna give it a good push PNA thirty second spots.

We're thinking about a feminine hygiene product.

We think the film needs a platform release.

We think this is a film that needs to find its audience.

Well, we don't think of it as a niche movie.

Neither do we.

We want everyone in America to see it.

Alright.

We're just so thrilled to have a major distributor.

Of course, it's not just a gay movie.

That's for everybody, that ???

- But there is one hiccup.

- It's minor.

- What's the hiccup, guys?

- The ending.

- Marketing says it won't test.

- What do you mean: "It won't test"?

Test with who?

Peoria.

You know, the flyover states.

Nebraska, Florida, Orange County.

I mean, it won't test.

Like lesbians are cool and sexy now...

But we need them to be relatable too.

We think the girl, the uh...

What's her name?

It's the Niki Stevens' character...

- Jessie.

- We think Jessie should go back to her boyfriend in the end.

What?

No way.

Just think about it.

Give it some thought.

You know, Angie's preschool is only minutes from my house.

Do you really like the west side?

Yeah, I mean, it's pretty great.

The air's cleaner, you're near the ocean, you get all the wacky light.

Are you gonna honk the horn?

- No, we're not gonna honk the horn.

- You know, I'm gonna be...

Are you saying I should sell my house?

- I didn't say that.

- I know, I just meant if we...

get together, I mean, once we - decide...

- Let's hear mama B.'s speech.

Come on, do your speech.

Really?

Well, there is this part that I'm not sure about.

If...

Yeah...

It's not just that she's a woman though she underniably is.

Jodi makes art with found and industrial materials in a way that no one, man or woman, ever even thought of doing.

That last part, that's, that's a little bit sexist.

I know, I know.

But I thought it was important to underline the fact that she's a woman, - in this, in a way...

- That's good.

Go for it.

You're a good writer.

You'll know how to say it.

And you'll be good.

- Have you talked to her?

- No, no.

But I did speak to Serena Dean, it's the curator of the show, and she said that Jodi's piece is amazing.

Jodi...

You have to find a way to have Jodi in her life.

They're very bonded.

I just...

I think it would be just too confusing.

I mean, it's just blurs the boundaries, and it's...

Wow!

Look at that!

- She looks amazing.

- Look sweetie, it's Alice.

The light's green.

Go.

Hey!

- Go assh*le!

Come one!

- Oh, Jesus!

We're never gonna get out of this.

- "Cheryl Tweedy" by Lily Allen - Iris!

Call with all my attorneys, including London and Hong-Kong, it's the estate manager and the direstor of the Peabody foundation.

And get my daughter!

I'm right here, mummy.

What on earth are you wearing?!

- "The Lucky One" by Au Revoir Simone - Did you sleep well?

- Yeah.

- Yeah?

- We should get up.

- Why?

It's a terrible idea.

We have breakfeast with your mother.

Jesus!

I made you coffee.

That's a cute picture.

f*ck you.

Have some breakfeast.

No.

I don't have time.

Why haven't they got an antidote?

I mean, surely, if one exists, and they have the way with all...

Helena, everything's been handled.

This isn't ???

jellyfish, they say that the vemin is frequently lethal.

Before I die, there's some things I want to say to you.

- Firstable, about your clothes...

- Mummy, you're not going to die.

Very well and before I do, I want to know that you're situated.

I'm very well situated.

Thank you very much.

A drab little hut in the dregs of Tahiti with the tax-evading granddaughter of a vanilla-pod picker doesn't strike me as situated.

Helena, the Peabodys are keepers, not only of a vast fortune, - but of a legacy...

- Mummy, I'm not interested.

It really isn't a proposition, Helena.

You are my sole beneficiary.

I've arranged for Davis and Arson to review all the estate holdings with you and the Foundation is in very good hands with Albert Onescut.

At some point, you just must take - an interest in day-to-day.

- Mummy, I'm gonna go talk to your doctors, find out exactly what's going on about getting the solution remedy of yours, because I have a standby return ticket.

It's going to cost me $ if I need to change it.

So what kind of photography you're thinking?

- Nature?

Abstract?

- No.

No.

Nature...

No.

I like, um...

I like portraiture.

Maybe, fashion, maybe...

- Something like that.

- That's such a good idea.

- You've a great eye.

- You think?

Yeah, you should totally do it.

Well, I wanna go to school first, but then, we'll see.

f*ck school.

I don't want you to school.

You don't think I can handle going to school?

Of course I think you can handle it, but I don't think you need to go to school.

I think you need to go to work.

Yeah, but before I go to work, I'd rather learn...

I don't know, I'd like to learn technique, I'd like to learn what I'm doing.

- I'd rather not schluff it off.

- I think that any school that will not take you would be completely missing out and stupid.

Thank you.

- sh*t!

- What?

- "Au Moins Une Fois" by Cecile Hercule - - Who's that woman?

- Come on!

Joyce!

I am not going on - a lesbian double date with my mother.

- Yes, you are.

Come on, come on.

- Be an adult, be mature.

Come on.

- Hey girls!

Hey, I want you to meet Joyce.

- Nice to meet you.

- Yeah, I'm not shaking your hand.

She tried to ruin my father.

Remember?

Would you excuse us for one second?

Come here a second, come here.

I don't know what's gotten into her.

Listen, what happened between your parents is what happens in pretty much every divorce.

They got through it.

- Didn't they?

- Sort of.

Yeah, sort of.

But they did, and you know it.

Listen, and your mother deserves hapiness as much as everybody else.

Give her that.

My father said she's the most worthless lawyer he's ever met.

- She's the anti-Christ.

- But she's a lawyer!

I'm sure sh*t not having breakfeast with her.

I'm sorry.

No.

Well, if I recall, your mother wasn't too thrilled about you seeing me.

And now we're all here together.

Right?

Come on, you're not alone.

- Let's go.

- Alright.

- Come on.

- Okay.

- Hungry?

- Yeah.

- Yeah.

- A little bit.

- "Count The Days" by Inez & Charlie Foxx - Kit, this is very exciting.

George Charles is ???, he just ???

And my good friend.

Um...

and we both agreed that that moon of yours was a bit ridiculous.

So...

But he does love the space.

Right?

Well, it has great bones.

Yeah, I hope you choke on them bones.

A girl goes away for a couple of months, and everything changes.

Girl!

I'm glad to see you.

How are you?

And what was he doing...?

Well enough to remodel, but you're not gonna change it too much, - are you?

I loved it the way that it was.

- Oh, girl...

This has none to do with me.

They, they're taking it over.

- What?!

- Yeah.

Okay, nevermind.

What are you doing here, girl?

- We so missed you.

We so missed you.

- Oh, I missed you too.

My mother's in hospital.

No, I think she's gonna be alright, but...

She's a little touchy there right now.

Oh come on, let's have some coffee.

- Yeah, okay.

- And chat.

- Do you have cookies?

- Yeah, girl, and I know, I remember how you like it.

Molly, I wanted this internship so bad, I could taste it.

But I didn't have the score.

What score's that?

LSAT.

It's a test you take to get into law school.

Well, you've done pretty ???

for yourself long here.

Wait, did you get a good grade?

Molly scored in the top percent nationally.

- Big f*cking deal.

- It is a big f*cking deal.

- It's one of the reasons you've got the internship.

- I don't want the internship.

I'm spending my summer with Shane.

We're going surfing in Honolulu.

Wait, wait a second.

You never told me that this Supreme Court intern thing was in the summer.

You are not giving up a Supreme Court internship - to go surfing.

- It's what I want to do.

- "J'Aime Dormir" by Felipecha - Molly, if you're doing it to get back at me...

Mum, I'm not doing this to get back at you.

I'm so beyond that.

I'm accepting your life choices.

And if you and Joyce decide to get married, I hope you invite me and Shane to the wedding.

All I ask is the same respect from you.

What are you doing here?

Girls, have you got room for one more?

I wanna meet you and Dusty in Tahaa.

I'm not kidding.

It's pretty remote, Kit.

You know, I'm not sure that I'm gonna stay there forever.

I mean, Dusty's great, but...

I kind of miss this place.

- I miss all of you.

- We've missed you so much.

You have no idea.

It wasn't the same without you.

Let me tell you.

- It has been crazy around here.

- I just don't understand.

Where did these women come from?

From Hell.

Via Miami Beach.

Dawn Denbo and her servant maid - Cindi...

- Excuse me.

Sorry.

I just...

I want...

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry.

You...

want to say you're sorry?

- You?

- I know, I know.

It doesn't make a difference.

But I hate what she's doing.

Okay?

I do.

I would've tried to stop her, but she's...

she's crazy.

Cindi, babe.

I need you to do a few things.

- Come over here, please.

- Thanks.

I need you to go over the SheBar, and I need you to wait for the liquor delivery.

And I've got a meeting this afternoon, so you're gonna have to set up without me.

Okay?

Can you do that?

Seriously.

Can you go now?

Because they're waiting at the delivery.

Thank you.

Nice face.

Thank you.

- "Baby Drop a Dime" by Inez & Charlie Foxx - Well, I quit.

Well, I figured when you got me to meet you down here.

It's crazy.

And, who are you meeting, anyway?

- My friend J.J.

- Who's that?

We went through Basic together.

- Oh yeah?

- Yeah.

She's a cop.

Oh, she is?

A cop, huh?

- Oh, there they are.

- Where?

I want you to meet them.

Come on.

- What's up, you?

- Hey, get your ass over here, Williams!

- f*cking Williams...

- Hey, what's up?

- Alice, this is J.J.

This is Karen.

- Hi, it's so nice to meet you.

- Hi.

- Holy f*cking sh*t.

- What?

- I know you.

- You do?

- "I'm Alice Pieszecki, and you're watching The Look"!

You are so cool!

Oh my God, - I love the way you handle that ass of Mary Lamb.

- Thank you.

- Is she really such a dufus or is that...

- No, she's a dufus.

Yeah, totally.

Alice, can you join us for lunch?

I have someone to meet, but thank you very much.

Yeah.

Okay.

Well, have a good time.

I'll see you later.

Bye.

Can I have your autograph?

- You want my autograph?

- Yeah!

- Yeah, please.

- What's your name again?

- This is so cool!

- I have to work on my signature.

- Okay, nice to meet you.

- Thanks.

Bye.

- Oh my God!

She's awesome!

- Nice.

- Yeah.

- Oh my godness...

How's the movie doing?

Let's talk about that.

- "Writing a Check" by Jacquel - Well, this is good.

We've got distribution.

- Wow!

- Major studio.

- That's great.

- Yeah.

I can't, I mean, I believe it, and it's wonderful.

We just have to work on a few details.

Very, very happy.

Good.

- Can I tell you something?

- What?

Niki came into my trailer the other day, and she was crying.

Really?

Why?

She says you won't return any of her calls.

She comes up to me after every take and she says: "Do you think Jenny would have liked that?" Or she'll say: "Do you think that's what Jenny meant when she wrote it?" Does she really say that to you?

She misses you.

I don't wanna be with someone who's afraid to be who they are.

- I think it's pathetic.

- She has a lot to lose.

Well, so do I.

I don't have a career anymore.

- My agents just dropped me.

- What?

That's terrible.

I'm sorry.

You will get another agent.

You're good.

You will.

- Are you okay?

- I'm fine, I'm just...

Do you think I should call Niki?

I don't know.

Jessie!

Jessie, stop!

What do you want?!

Look, I love you.

Vipers don't love, Karina.

They poison.

You used me as a pon in your twisted relationship.

I mean, how many girls have you and Frances destroyed in order to tell your sordid stories as foul play, huh?

You don't understand.

Oh, I understand.

I understand enough to know that I despise you.

You're the only one I've ever felt this way about.

You're a liar!

You're a f*cking liar!

Okay, that's very good.

Let's cut.

Okay, that's a cut.

Thank you.

Tina, can I talk to you for a minute?

Sure.

What's up?

Adele wants you off the set.

What?

She has asked me to have you removed from the set.

She said she can't work with you looking over her shoulder.

- You've got to be f*cking kidding me.

- I know.

I know.

- Thanks, Sally.

- Yeah.

What is this?

Well, loyalty's very important to me, Tina.

And I understand that your loyalty is to Jenny.

You guys are old friends.

But you should understand that I can't have you on my set doing the bidding.

What makes you think I'm doing Jenny's bidding?

Don't insult me, Tina.

I know you had lunch with her this afternoon.

I know that you speak with her regularly.

And I know that you understand that it makes it really difficult for me to do my job when you're on my set.

Adele, I'm the producer of this movie, okay?

I busted my ass putting it together.

Why would I let you kick me off the set?

Because you want this picture on schedule and on budget?

This is f*cking insane.

It's so awful.

This woman, she utterly deceived Kit.

It's like she's some sort of small-time petty con artist.

She virtually stole the Planet out from under her.

Why don't you buy it back?

What did you say?

Every lowlife has a price, Helena.

And most likely a peccadillo or two that can be easily discovered, if she needs a little persuading.

Isn't that extorsion, mummy?

I thought you were against me using money to buy my friends.

Didn't these people stand by you when you had absolutely not one red cent?

My friends?

Yeah, they did.

So you wouldn't be buying friendship from them if you already have it.

I really wish you would try to evince some more clearheadedness, Helena.

Mummy, you're the one who's not being very clear.

I mean, firstable, you took away all my money from me.

It wasn't your money.

It was mine.

I had to be sure that you wouldn't make a fool of our saving.

It's undignified to always lead with the bank book.

What makes you think I'm more dignified now, mummy?

To tell you the truth, I don't know that you are.

But I have to leave all my f*cking money to someone, and I'm not going to leave it to my Lhasa apsos.

Talk about undignified.

So what would you want me to do with all your f*cking money?

As is your wont.

Spend it willy-nilly.

Buy your friend a nightclub.

Buy her two.

- "Why Did You Stay?" by The Pipettes - It's so more funny that I thought it would be.

I like it, this is so crazy.

Oh my God!

- I mean, it's like a bycycle.

- Yeah, I just need to see your licence.

- Yeah, sure.

- Well, is everything okay?

Yeah, sure, no.

I just, I, as long as you're home in time to get ready for Jodi's thing tonight, it's fine.

Yeah.

I'm sorry you got a ticket.

It sucks.

The LAPD can be total pigs.

I kind of hate them.

Yeah.

So was that your girlfriend on the phone?

Yeah, it was.

That's a little bit disappointing for me.

Me too.

God, that sounded bad.

It's the most natural thing in the world to meet someone you'll be attracted to and then, you know.

Even if you're in a relationship with somebody else?

People do it all the time.

I mean...

clearly it's not against their nature, but...

Right.

I don't know, maybe it's designed to teach us something.

What?

That there are relationships in trouble?

They're not always.

I mean, I don't know anything about your relationship.

I think I might be in trouble.

I can't.

- I'm sorry.

- I'm sorry.

Have you ever been in my situation?

Yeah, once.

What did you do?

I had a really great love affair.

But I broke someone's heart, and I caused a lot of just general chaos and destruction.

- So.

- Yeah.

Sounds good.

My friend Helena says, "Whatever starts in chaos, ends in chaos".

- So...

- Your friend knows what she's talking about.

I promised myself that I would never do that again.

- You just tried to kiss me.

- Yes.

- It didn't really work out, I guess.

- Yeah.

It's very difficult to stand by your convictions when someone who is, like, sexy and smart and amazing, who you're super-attracted to, is, like, this far away from you, you know.

I just left a message for Sally.

She'll call me if anything goes wrong.

I'm just so impressed that you're keeping cool about it.

What else can I do?

We just have to get through tonight.

We wrap at A.M.

and then tomorrow there's the party.

Do you have to go to the party?

I want to.

It's my movie.

And there's no way that I'm gonna let Adele win.

I really hope I'd be there with you.

I wish I could be there with you tonight.

Oh, I'll be fine.

I think I wrote a pretty good speech.

I wish you knew my favorite scene in the whole movie.

It's the last scene, it's when Jesse finally ends it with Karina once and for all.

Her heart is broken, and she thinks there's no way she's ever be in a love again.

Well, 'cause Karina was her first love.

And everyone always thinks that wonderful first love lives.

Yeah, you were my first.

And I thought I would die.

- I never left you.

- Yes, you did.

But then you came back.

She really wrote a happy ending.

Yeah, she did.

She wrote such a great ending.

It's like Jesse's life is just beginning, and Jenny, oh my God, who would have thought?

But she pulled it together, and she wrote this amazing ending.

It's such a positive message for young, gay women.

It's great.

I'm sorry I can't be there.

It's okay.

It's not important.

What is important?

You.

Us.

So, do you think Angie should have a baby sister or a baby brother?

What?

Guess what I just did.

What?

I signed up for the police academy.

- For the LAPD?

- Yeah.

J.J.

took me down.

She teaches one of the training courses.

And they love the fact that I'm an ex-m*llitary.

They're really pro-gay.

They even have domestic partner benefits.

You wanna be a cop?

Oh, I filled up the paper already.

I have my first training next wednesday.

- Is it okay?

- Yeah, I was just...

There's a lot.

It looks like you've got a lot to learn.

- Yeah.

- It's great.

It's great.

I'm happy for you.

If this is what you want, I mean.

Yeah.

- I'm actually really excited.

- Good.

Good.

Yeah.

Excuse me.

Hello?

I hope I'm not intruding.

No.

What can I do for you?

I have a proposition.

And I think it might be of interest.

- Well, Dawn's not here right now, so...

- No, it's a proposition for you.

Maybe we can talk somewhere privately?

Yeah.

- "Come To Me" by Koop - - Hello.

- Bette, I'm so relieved you came.

After Jodi told me what the piece was about, I...

- Oh, Larry.

Larry, do you know Larry Pitman?

- Of course.

- Nice to see you.

- Hello, Larry.

Serena.

What the piece?

What?

What were you saying?

Larry, I want you to meet...

So you're gonna go to the wrap party tomorrow night?

- No.

- Are you?

- No.

- No?

Yes, I want you yo go.

You've worked so hard - and it's gonna be a fun party.

- No.

Look, you should go and you should support Tina.

I want you guys to go and represent me.

This is so exciting.

I didn't know you were such a big deal.

- Please, go.

- No, no, no.

- You really want me to?

- Yeah, I do.

Thank you so much for coming.

It means so much to me, you guys.

Hey, guys.

I'm really excited to see your sculpture.

Thanks.

I should say I'm a little bit nervous and...

Well, I heard the piece is re...

See you, guys.

Let's get inside.

Outch.

- Come.

- Alright.

Let's go in.

- Do you wanna come?

- Yeah.

- Come on.

- I wanted to thank you for this morning.

I don't know what you said to Molly to get her back to the table, - but I really appreciated it.

- No problem.

If you have a minute, can we talk?

- Yeah.

Okay.

- Come on.

Very good.

You haven't met Molly's sister, Sophie.

She's a great girl too.

- Solid, study...

- Yeah?

- You're lucky you have two great kids.

- But Molly...

- Molly's exceptionnal.

- Yeah.

And I'm saying this not as her mother but as the chancelor of a major university.

Molly is one of the most brillant students I have ever encountered.

I'm not surprised to hear it.

And you're not worthy of her.

Excuse me?

In the first place, the summer internship is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Firstable, Molly is a grown-up.

And I'm not telling her what to do.

This is not just about the damn internship.

I know you know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, Phyllis, and what I know is that I'm crazy about her.

Bette says you're not the kind of person any caring mother would want her daughter to have a relationship with.

- I don't buy it.

Bette would never say it.

- She says you'd be up and after the first little hotty who shakes her body at you.

And you know your friend Alice?

She told me that the longuest relationship you ever had is six months.

You proposed to some poor girl, left her at the altar.

Even your friends think you're bad news, Shane.

You know what really sucks though?

Is if you did the same thing to my daughter.

Are you gonna throw Molly away like a piece of garbage?

- No.

- How do you know?

How can you be sure you're not gonna find someone else you can't keep it in your pants around?

You know that is not fair to say, because no one knows that until it happens.

Most of us possess a certain amount of self-knowledge, Shane.

Have you ever heard the expression "Past is prelude"?

No.

Of course you haven't.

This is not just about Molly's summer plans.

Don't f*ck my daughter over.

If you even think you love her, spare her.

Dont turn her into another one of your heartbroken victims.

Thank you so much for coming.

It means the world to me.

Really.

I wouldn't miss this for the world.

Sweet.

I'm really honored to be there.

I can't wait to see it.

And you look phenomenal.

- I miss you.

- I miss you too.

I want you to know, I didn't know anything about it.

It's okay.

- Don't be a stranger.

- Don't.

Don't you be a stranger.

Welcome everybody.

Welcome to the Hammer museum.

I'm Serena Dean, the curator of this exhibition, and Phil is sorry she couldn't be here tonight, but we're thrilled and excited to present a new piece by sculptor Jodi Lerner.

She made this for our artist working new media series, and here to introduce her, is the dean of the School of Arts in California university, Bette Porter.

Thank you.

From the first moment, she rocked the art world in the mid 's with her massive steel sculptures.

A female body parts in domestic objects, Jodi Lerner has redefined the landscape of sculpture expression.

It's not just that she's a woman, though she underniably is, Jodi makes art with found industrial materials a way that no one, man or woman, has ever even thought of doing.

I am repeatedly in art for her fiery choices, her total emersion in a process, her audacity, which borders on defiance, and her works of art, which actually seem to extrude from her subconscient mind.

She has made me believe, all over again, in the redemptive power of art.

It's just been a gift and privilege to have her as our artist in residence at CU, and an even greater gift having her in my life.

And now with this installation at the Hammer, she is giving a gift to our city.

Please welcome Jodi Lerner.

Thank you.

This piece is called "Core".

Because it's about core values.

Love, loyalty, honesty, and commitment.

I love you. I love you.

I love you!

What happened?

What happened?
f*ck me, f*ck me! I love you.

Core value.
Go, go, go, go. No, just don't.

Leave me alone.

Go.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Leave me alone. f*ck me... Don't, this is not a good time. - "Coz I Luv You" by Slade - Holy sh*t.

Who's that gorgeous woman?

Hi.

How you're doing?

Welcome to my club.

I'm Dawn Denbo, and this is my lover, Cindi.

I don't think we've seen you here before.

Have you been in the club before?

- I know, I know.

- f*cking Shane...

You know Helena Peabody, right?

You know, more important.

How in the f*ck did you get past my door?

Because you know what?

You skanks really need to leave now.

Alright?

Even though you have a stunner of a friend here.

Bye.

Oh, wait a minute, Helena Peabody.

Isn't your mom the...

She's telling us to leave?

- I'm afraid you can't do that.

- Really.

Why can't I, pretty little rich girl?

f*ckin' Porter.

- What?

- We own - this place.

- What the hell are you talking about?

Yeah, baby.

Here's your letters of your two primary investors.

Who were more than happy to sell to us at a profit.

Especially when they found out that you'd leveraged them within an inch of a felon.

What the hell...

Where did you get this?

This is confidential.

What the f*ck did you do?

- Who, me?

- Yeah.

How could I do anything when I don't have a thought in my head?

I mean, that's what you tell people, right?

That "she doesn't have a thought in her head"?

Yeah, this is the thought in your head, - this is what...

- Get your dirty little hands off her, Denbo!

Why should I?

Because she's with me.

By the way, the name's Tucker.

Not "her lover Cindi".

It's Cindi Annabelle Tucker.

Would you like to go dancing in your club?

Yes, I would love to.

I was done with you anyway.

Bye!

Happy time.

Why...

why are you still in front of me?

What?

You can go home.

Or you can stay.

You can do the dishes or wash the floor.

- We've got a lot of glasses to pick up...

- That's funny, Porter.

Guess what, it's not over.

Seriously.

???.

See you.

Oh, f*ck you!

How about that?

Alright, kiss my ass.

Yeah, Kit.

Leave it away.

Bye.

See you soon.

- "Do The Strand" by Roxy Music - Would you get me my drunk?

Yeah, sure.

- You're Vanessa, right?

- Right.

- Remember me?

- Yeah, Shane.

How are you doing?

Good.

I'm just looking for my friends.

Hey, well, listen, if you ever wanna do something, I have the same number.

So...

- I never had your number.

- Oh, you didn't?

Well, then I'll call you.

What was that?

What?

You were flirting with that girl.

So?

So, I'm right here.

Molly, let's get real.

You and I had a lot of fun, but you're going to school in a week.

Wait, no, no, stop.

- I know what you're doing.

- I'm not...

what am I doing?

- I'm not doing anything.

- You are.

You're freaking out, and you're scared, and you owe it to me and to you to give this a chance.

Molly, I'm not freaking out.

- I never promised you anything.

- Yes, you did.

In bed this morning, when you kissed me and you held me, those were promises.

Well, then, well then I guess you misunderstood me.

So what do girls do now?

Throw their drink in your face?

Yeah, sometimes they do.

I'm not going to do that.

You don't deserve that.

You deserve compassion.

But I'm not going to try to save you.

It's something you have to do for yourself, so.

Good luck figuring your sh*t out.

Take your time.

Hopefully, I'll still be around.

That room was full of my collegues.

My students, my friends.

People I really care about.

Why would she do that?

It's so humiliating.

That's why she did it.

You should just let go.

You should just try and let go.

The only reason I can is because I'm with you.

Unlock the door.

Excuse me?

Can I get a ticket for the...

Oh my God!

Look, it's Sally and Sandra.

Who are they?

That is our line producer and our first AD.

I think it's so funny how everybody hooks up on movie sets.

- Hey, guys.

- Hi.

Hey you guys, how are you?

It's good to see you.

This is Kit Porter.

- This is Bette Porter.

Sally.

- Hello.

- Nice to meet you.

- Our line producer - and first AD.

- You look familiar.

- She's got one of those faces.

- Yeah.

William, hi.

It's so exciting.

- I just got the guy of tickets.

- Alright.

Can I get a ticket?

Thank you.

You know what?

Let's just go inside and find our friends, okay?

- "Koop Island Blues" by Koop - She's not the same person.

- Happy wrap party.

- Honey, what's up?

- Happy wrap party to you.

- Happy wrap party.

It's over.

So, where, where is Molly?

- What?

- Where is Molly?

I think she went to school.

- Really?

- Yeah.

You didn't wanna bring her in?

What?

- Drinks!

- Alright.

- Let's do a toast, you guys.

- Okay.

- To Jenny.

- To Jenny.

- Absolutely on our mind.

- To Jenny.

Cheers.

I didn't realize that Tasha was so chummy with Cammie.

Yeah, well, she's had a couple of drinks.

That's so bad!

Oh my God!

- Really?

- I didn't know she drank so much either.

Well, yeah, I didn't know either.

I mean, I don't think she likes to, you know, drink.

- What's wrong?

- Can I talk to you?

- I knew it.

- Okay.

What?

I met someone.

I knew it!

I knew it.

I knew it.

Is that what she's drinking?

No, I mean, I...

she doesn't know and I haven't done anything, I mean, I've not acted on that.

I swear this.

- But you want to.

- Yeah, I do.

But I know, you know, I know that the right thing to do is to work on this with Tasha.

It's, it's, - it's what I should do.

- Why?

Why?

Who says you should?

- Why should you?

- Because we all just let our relationships blow up at the first little temptation.

Nobody works on their relationships anymore.

Everyone's out for instant gratification, and I don't want to be like that.

I agree.

You're right.

But also, I've seen you in this thing from day , and you've always given it a chance.

You both.

I've worked hard.

Yeah, you both have.

So maybe now you've come to a point where you realize you...

you want something different.

But that's okay.

Yeah.

But everything she went through with the trial, - and giving up everything she believed in...

- Has nothing to do with you.

That never had anything to do with you.

You have the right to be happy.

It's your human right to be happy.

Who is she?

I don't wanna say it.

- I can't say my situation.

- Why?

Oh, you're gonna die.

Look at them together.

Those two?

Oh, they belong together.

Yeah.

They always have.

Is that Niki?

- What are you doing?

- Hey, hey.

What's shaken?

I'm just avoiding people.

Why?

It's your big night.

Yeah, well, these parties are lame.

All these people always looking at me all the time, expecting me to like performing like some trained monkey.

I'm just so tired, you know, of...

What are you tired of?

Everybody wanting me to be who they want me to be.

Yeah, that sounds like fun.

Well, let's see what can I tell you.

Well, I, I f*cked up something pretty great last night.

- Molly?

- Yeah.

I got ahead of myself, it is something.

I just...

I envision this kind of future and...

I don't know, maybe I was wrong.

I was all wrong.

But we can't care, you know?

I mean, as soon as it turns to sh*t, you just have to get out, you know?

That's what I do, I move on, because if you don't, you get caught in there in bullshit and then you're screwed, you know?

Yeah, I do.

Well, I say to not give it a sh*t.

- Hello everybody.

- 'Cause really, why should we.

- To not give it a sh*t.

- No, we shouldn't.

I wanna welcome you all here tonight.

This party is my way of saying thank you to all of you for your hard work and dedication and all the creativity that you've brought into life.

So, without further ???, I'd like to turn the stage over to a person who I've recently come to know and admire.

Without her, "Lez Girls" would not be the great success that I know it's gonna be.

She's a rising star in Hollywood.

Just today, she signed a pictures deal.

So let's give it up for Miss Adele Channing.

Thank you, William.

I don't deserve these accolades.

But I do want to mention that the first picture in that deal was starring my beautiful and talented lady, Begonia Garcia.

She's the one they're really after.

I also mention to you all that just this morning, we were picked up for distribution.

We have a major distributor, people!

As for myself, I know that I'm a joiner who came lately to this project, and I just wanna say that I am honored and priviledged to have played a role.

To have learn from the lights of William, and Aaron, Tina Kennard, Sam Makarejev, and of course, I know that I would be remiss if I didn't mention Jennifer Schecter, - who gave me the opportunity to...

- I didn't give you anything.

You stole it.

- You want me to call security?

- No, it's fine.

Go Jenny!

Jennifer Schecter.

We love you, Jenny!

We love you too, Jenny!

Thank you, all of you.

Thank you very much.

I realize that the movie is out of my hands now.

And I hope that those people entrusted with this responsibility will honor it.

I wanna thank this amazing, amazing crew, who have helped me see through my vision.

I wanna thank my incredible friends who I, I really love you, guys.

You guys have, have shown me loyalty, and so much compassion.

And friendship and I think that's what "Lez Girls" is all about.

It means the world to me more than any other movie or lover.

Is, is Niki here?

I saw her outside, by the little pagoda.

I wanna tell her something, 'cause I, I was...

I realized something really important this afternoon.

That I am madly in love with someone, and it's changed the way I feel about all of this.

Thank you for putting up with me.

Thank you, Jenny.

Let's have a great night.

- "Ballade at Thirty-five" by Carla Bruni - Oh, f*ck, Shane.

Oh my God...

- Oh my God, Jenny!

- Jenny...

What are you doing?

Are you kidding me?

You agreed to change the ending?!

- God, it's so...

- Tina, it makes total sense that Jesse would go back to Jim in the end.

Jesse never really felt gay at the beginning.

What the f*ck would you know about it?!

- What?

- That is so f*cked up!

- Tina, come on.

- You're so f*cking Hollywood!

So Williams spends a little more money.

What's the big deal?

Even if you thought that Niki and I had broken up...

I swear, I'm your friend.

I thought that we...

This is bullshit!

We worked really hard on a movie that we believed in and the marketing people just come along and change the whole ending?

The guy gets the girl in the end?!

This is the movie that was supposed to change all that.

Look, Tina.

If the movie's too gay, it's going to alienate the audience.

Too gay!

It's a movie about lesbians.

And the movie is full of lesbians.

It's choke full of them.

Bev is a lesbian, Nina's a lesbian, Shaun, Dona, - what's your face, the, uh, bisexual?

- Alyse.

She's not interested.

And when we're talking about one character here, - it's not that big deal.

- I just wanna know one thing.

How do you do it?

How do you live with yourself?

What the hell is going on?

The studio wants to change the ending of the movie.

They want Jesse to go back to Jim.

What?!

They think the movie's too gay.

Too gay?

Wait, you're not gonna let them go away with that, are you?

I'm telling you it's the man that does this crazy sh*t.

Jenny, would you talk to me?

I'm your friend, please.

- No, Shane.

- You guys, come on.

- Can we all just be friends, please?

- Jenny, I am your friend.

I swear.

You know what?

It's the ultimate betrayal.

I'm gonna go get the car.

You've broken my heart.

- "Walk On By" by Dionne Warwick -
