12x06 - Last Call

Evil dead lady likes this place.

She crawls on the ceilings
and on the walls.

The ceiling fan just fell
straight to the ground.

Wow.

People have been
pushed off of these stairs.

I am very nervous about the
stairs, just getting shoved.

He ends up strangling her
to death.

All right, so this
is a sadistic bastard.

They like to have people
k*ll themselves.

I'm gonna...

This is not a great place
for living people.

I'm hearing
the devil's triangle.

My name is amy allan.

I see dead people.

I think he might've
been a stalker.

I speak to dead people,
and they speak to me.

He will k*ll you.
He has k*lled people.

But there's only one way to know
if my findings are real.

They're being possessed.
I rely on my partner.

I'm steve di schiavi.

I'm a retired new york city
homicide detective.

How many people d*ed here
over the years?

And I know every person,
every house has secrets.

It's my job to reveal them.

But steve and I never speak...

We never communicate
during an investigation.

...Until the very end.

This sketch is like a nightmare.

When we uncover
if it's safe for you to stay...

I never thought that the biggest
problem was me.

...Or time to get out.

He could
more than likely k*ll you.

So I'm up here
in palatka, florida.

It's about an hour
south of jacksonville.

I got a call
from a newlywed named tiffany.

Now, she told me she didn't
just marry into a new family,

but into a family business.

Problem is, the second
she started renovating

their old bar,
things went crazy.

She says activity is dangerous,

but shutting down the bar
is really not an option.

It's up to me and amy
to figure this one out.

This is bad.

There's some dead guy in here,
and he's saying,

"wait, wait, wait.
I'm not ready for this."

god, ****.

I am getting stabbed
from behind.

Lordy, lordy. Okay.
Work through the **** pain.

So tiffany, when we spoke
on the phone,

it sounded like this place
is nothing but mayhem.

What the hell is going on?

Steve, the paranormal activity
has been so insane here.

I'm truly concerned
for the safety of our customers

and for us.

So tiffany, I understand this
is a family-owned business.

Tell me a little bit
about that.

It's been in my husband's
family for 30 years.

That's my husband johnny,
and this is his father, bob.

Okay, now is bob
still around?

He is not. He passed away
several years ago.

You think
johnny's father

could be causing
any of the problems here?

No. This business meant
the world to johnny's dad.

He would protect us.

Okay. Give me an idea of what
you guys are experiencing here.

We feel like
we're being watched.

There's objects
being thrown,

and people are being
physically att*cked.

My biggest fear is that someone
be seriously injured,

somebody could be k*lled.

If things are
really that bad,

why not just move on
to another location?

Absolutely not.
This is our life.

This is a do or die situation.
We have to make this work.

I'm seeing this evil-looking
dead lady.

She's very thin, petite.

Her eyes are just
filled with bugs.

Her hair is really
long and clumpy,

and I think that people see her.
She's trapped here.

She crawls on the ceilings
and on the walls.

I know that she likes
to watch people,

especially from the ceiling.

I think that they would feel
the panic and fear. It's bad.

All right, so tiffany,
what's happening up here?

I've personally seen
an apparition of a woman.

Could it have
been a patron?

Not at all.
We weren't even open yet.

Okay, so this is something
that looks solid?

Yes. She had on period-type
clothing.

What period are
we talking about?

I would say 1800s.

The vibe I get is that
this was hers maybe or...

Like she belonged here?

Like she belonged here,
correct.

- Okay.
- Yes.

Anything else?

This is insane, but I've seen
this weird shadow figure

looking thing
walk down the sidewalk,

and it was
inhumanly tall,

and it walked right
into the building.

It just freaked me out.
- Were you drinking? I mean,

could it have been something
that you were hallucinating?

No. I was not drinking
that night.

I had band practice.
I was working.

All right, so you're seeing
some weird stuff. Anything else?

I get touched inappropriately
up here,

like something actually
grabs my bottom.

I turn around,
and there's no one there.

All right, so you're not happy
with that, obviously?

- No.
- Anything else like that?

One of my biggest concerns
is this staircase right here.

People have been pushed
off of these stairs.

Anybody get really hurt?

Yes. One woman was pretty sure
her ribs were bruised.

I'm no paranormal expert,
but this is bad.

You might've dodged
a couple of b*ll*ts already.

Somebody could have
got paralyzed, k*lled.

You could lose
the whole bar.

Absolutely. Steve, this is why
we called you in.

It's so crucial
that this doesn't happen.

Their safety is of
utmost important to us.

I was seeing the evil lady
with two kids, a boy and a girl.

They look young to me,
four, five, six, maybe.

They are bad children.

the kids like to create
and cause accidents.

I am very nervous
about the stairs with them.

They like to cause pain, fear,
and touch people --

kind of inappropriate touching.

They have mom issues and they go
after females in particular.

what do you got
going on here?

There's a very tall shelf, and
there's mugs up on the shelf,

and they will fly off
and crash on the ground.

Okay, not saying you have rats
or any kind of varmints,

but is there a chance
it could be

some kind of animal
that got up in there?

There was no animal.

Multiple people
saw the glass fall.

All right,
so anything else?

Feelings
of being anxious.

That sensation happens
frequently in this area.

You don't strike me
as an anxious person.

Not at all, but you can't
help it

when you feel like
something's watching you.

Okay, so anything else
over here?

Sometimes I wonder if I'm being
followed home by something,

because I do have things
happen outside of the bar.

So, what kind of experiences
are we talking about?

Just last night, something
grabbed my foot then twisted.

It's safe to say
I didn't sleep.

Not for nothing, you got
a lot of crap going on here.

Yes. My hope and my prayer
is that

we can save
my husband's bar

and create a place
that's safe and happy.

Yeah, this is not a great place
for living people.

Evil dead lady likes this place

and also brings
the children here.

they're moving stuff, breaking
****, too.

The kids are working people up.

They're making them angry,
and they're making them fight.

I think that people would feel
very manic in this area.

These kids
are jumping people.

I think they can
follow people home,

and the dead lady
will go with the children,

and affect people
at their homes.

What do they do
with them then?

You know, if the kids
are jumping,

then it's kind of like
an oppression or possession,

which could then make people
get sick, go crazy,

possibly k*ll themselves.

so johnny, I was talking
to your wife,

and obviously she called us in.
- Right.

And the reason is because
she doesn't feel this building

is safe
for anybody to be in

with the paranormal activity,
what's your thoughts on that?

I'm concerned about it.
You know, we had one person

that actually physically
got pushed from behind.

Things like that
just can't happen.

So talking with your wife
tiffany, she was saying

that the experiences
are pretty intense now.

You have anything that
you could tell me about?

Yeah. Yeah, there's a few
things that's happened.

My wife and I came in,
we're doing inventory.

We hear some whistling
and singing in our outback.

We go out there,
gates are locked.

Nobody's there.

Could it have been somebody
on the other side of the wall?

No, that's
four bricks thick.

You're not going to hear
anything on the other side

of the wall.
It's really, really different.

Okay, so anything else
that you've experienced?

Late at night, I could
see shadows going by

in the mirror
during closing.

And nothing coming
from the outside maybe?

Nothing coming -- it's 4:00
in the morning, town's dead.

All right, let me
ask you something.

How long ago
did your father pass?

He passed

- He was a great man.

Was he?
What kind of guy was he?

He was the life of the party.
He liked to throw the parties.

He would still come in
every night when he was alive.

- Okay.
- This was his spot.

How would you feel
if you found out he was?

I would be reassured that
he's still doing

what he wanted to do,
you know?
Right.

He's still here.
He's still looking over things.

Okay.

There's a male who's hiding.

There's a sense
of ownership here.

There's a sense of, you know,
back off, it's my space.

He grabbed my arm,
didn't want me to go over here.

I don't know why.

I think he worked here
or something,

and he's still trying
to do his work.

I feel like he's
a little bit more recent,

I'd say in the last,
I don't know,

seven or eight years, I guess.

Like, he feels like
a protective person,

like he's trying to stop me
from seeing anything bad.

okay, so johnny,
anything else?

We had a ceiling fan
just like this one here

fall from right there.

It just fell straight
to the ground.

It was one of those things
that it just, for no reason.

- All right, so it wasn't on?
- It wasn't on,

but I do have security footage
if you'd like to take a look.

Yeah, absolutely.

wow.

let me ask you something,
was anybody here?

Nobody was here, thankfully.
A couple of days before that,

my wife's band was practicing
right here though.

- Right here?
- Right here.

That's one of the big things
that started to concern me.

I'm like, two days before,

I mean,
it could have fallen on her.

To say you dodged a b*llet,
it's an understatement.

- Absolutely.
- With all this stuff going on,

why not just sell it
and open someplace else?

No, that's not
a choice for me.

My parents had it before me,
and it's a staple in palatka,

and it's important to me
that it continues to go.

This is it for me.

Okay.

This protective guy, he doesn't
like to mess with women.

He goes after men
particularly.

I mean, I think men feel like,
you know, they're being grabbed,

being pushed,
just getting shoved.

I think this person
breaks things, too.

so after talking to tiffany
and johnny,

I wanted to see
what their employees

and their customers
had to say.

There's been nights where I see
a man watching the bartender.

I see a silhouette.
It's terrifying.

And each one of them had
experiences more intense

than the last.

I was carrying three cups
in one hand,

and something aggressively
knocked one of the cups

in an upward direction
from my hand.

It always seems like there's
a really tense energy

here in the bar,
like it's ready for a fight.

I saw an apparition
of a man

that walked right
through those doors.

How'd you feel
when you saw that?

I went to finish
and leave.

In fact, I don't think I
finished, I think I just left.

But what's got me
the most concerned

is the physical att*cks.

I'd walk out of that room
right there,

and I feel two hands
on my back shoving me

to get out of this room.

Whatever it was,
it just wanted me out.

- Out?
- Right.

The protective guy, he's like,
"I keep trying to help women,

but it goes, like, sideways."

it never goes the way
that he intends or plans.

he's ornery towards men, but he
doesn't like guys in his space.

This is his space.
That's his space.

He can be physical,
like pushing, shoving,

grabbing, punching.

I don't think
he would k*ll a guy,

but might come to, you know,
a couple of blows in there.

So before I got to town,
I made my usual calls --

historians, authors, cops.

I just got a call back
from an archivist

who did some digging for me.

Now, she says tiffany
and johnny's property

was home to the deadliest
american indian w*r

in the history
of the united states.

So, betsy, I appreciate
you meeting me

and helping me out
with this case.

Before we get
to this big w*r,

what can you tell me
about the tribe

that used to be
on my client's land?

Yes. Seminole indians had
settlements here

for hundreds of years.
We know that in the 1770s,

there was a trading post
and the white settlers

and the seminole indians
traded.

We know that
there were happy times,

but all of the peacefulness
and the coexistence

ended when the government
came in

and tried to kick the seminole
indians out of florida.

Okay, so that's when they got
the bad blood started?

Yes, it was in
December of 1835,

the seminole indians
came in and b*rned

what was palatka
settlement.

Immediately, the federal
government stepped in,

took over palatka and then
started building fort shannon,

so that was built
in 1836.

And so your client's property is
part of that m*llitary outpost.

Now, who would have been
stationed here?

There would have been
anywhere from 100 to 400

u.S. m*llitary personnel.

This base held not only
the wounded and the sick,

but also people
here being --

waiting to be dispatched
to go into battle.

I got to assume a lot
of people d*ed here.

Yes. This was the worst
indian w*r

in the history
of the united states.

We estimate around
3,000 seminole indians

d*ed during that w*r
and around 1600 u.S. Troops.

Okay. When
did it all end?

Well, the seminole indian w*r
ended in 1842

when the seminole indians agreed
to sign a treaty

with the u.S.
Federal government,

and most of them
were relocated to oklahoma.

- They got a crappy deal.
- Yes.

You know, betsy,
looking at this place now

and how beautiful it is,
it's hard to imagine

this small piece of land
held so much bloodshed.

Yes. Many
people d*ed here.

There's a lot of death here,
man.

Something with
partnerships here, bad.

They always go bad.

Feeling like a lot of death
within these partnerships.

I'm hearing g*nshots.
I'm feeling panic and g*nshots.

But I guess whatever
this situation is,

it seems to have started a chain
of events, they're saying.

See they keep throwing
that word around

and I don't want to say it.

- What word?
- Cursed.

All right.
So far, I've got clients worried

about the safety
of their employees and guests

in an area with nearly
5,000 people d*ed in a w*r,

but I want to see
if there's anything else.

Looking through old records,
I find one of the former owners

of tiffany and johnny's
property.

Turns out,
she helped save palatka

from being destroyed
during the civil w*r.

So, I managed to track down this
woman's great, great grandson.

He says when
she wasn't burying kids,

she was fighting her abusive
crook of a husband,

just to keep ahold
of tiffany's property.

Mike, I appreciate you taking
the time to meet with me.

My pleasure.

So you mentioned on the phone
that your great,

great grandmother
was quite a woman.

What can you tell me
about her?

Well, her name was
mary emily dunham boyd.

Here are a couple
of pictures of mary emily.

And she had married one of
the big wigs in the town,

robert t. Boyd.
- Okay.

After she married
robert t.,

they moved into a big house that
he had built on the property

that you're investigating.

During my research,
I found out

that she basically
saved the town.

That's what she's pretty much
known for to this day.

Back during the civil w*r,
in October of 1862,

there was quite a lot of naval
activity out on the river --

union gunboats
and things like that.

There were also some
confederate soldiers

hiding out in the hills
behind the town,

and one of the boats
fired a few sh*ts over the town,

scared the dickens
out of the population.

Mary emily couldn't find
a man who would go out

and try to stop
the sh**ting,

so she decided
she'd do it herself,

and she negotiated
a truce.

The confederate soldiers
went away.

So she basically saved
the town from getting bombed.

Pretty much did, yes.

Now, you mentioned
she lost some kids.

Yes, between
1854 and 1867,

mary lost three of her four kids
before the age of three.

And this all happened
on my client's property?

Yes.

I'm seeing that evil
dead lady again.

I feel like she is directly
related to this location.

With her,
I'm getting 1890 to 1917.

she's saying something about,
"it hurts."

she's like, "it hurts.
It hurts so much.

It hurts so much."

I am hearing a woman sobbing.

I think the living
would hear this.

I think that the living
would feel

this horrible depression
and loss.

I think her kids d*ed
really young.

I also see her being att*cked.
I don't know,

I see like a guy on top of her.
I think he b*at her,

and psychologically,
it's damaging.

Now, you mentioned on the phone
mary's husband, robert,

wasn't the greatest guy,
what can you tell me about him?

He got in trouble
with his business.

He and his partner
were lumbermen.

He was accused
of cutting timber

on federal government
land illegally.

Okay.

So he was just fending off
one lawsuit after another.

During all this mess
that was going on,

what happens
to my client's property?

The government of course
wanted to go after that, too,

but robert kind
of outsmarted them,

because a year before this
all came to a head,

he signed the house,
your client's property,

over to his wife,
so it remained with her.

So we know he's shady,
but was he a good family man?

No. He had a violent,
uncontrollable temper.

And finally, by 1876,
she filed for divorce.

Three years later,
robert t. d*ed.

What happens to mary?

She and some of her kids
and grandkids

all lived together
in the property

that you're investigating
for close to 40 more years.

She finally d*ed
of a stroke in 1917.

She had a sad life.

Yeah, but it did have
its good moments.

There's two dead guys
who are dressed really well.

One of them is
the evil lady's husband.

I do get smuggling.

they're flicking money.

They might have been
some kind of partnership

but **** goes wrong between
partnerships here.

Do you know why
partnerships go bad here?

Like, I kept
hearing curse.

so another thing caught
my attention in research.

One of the most prolific serial
K*llers in florida history

was born right here in palatka.

So, I'm headed over to meet
a local detective

who says not only did this sick
bastard live down the block

from tiffany and john's
property,

he may have even
drank at their bar.

So mark, thanks for helping me
out with this case.

Before we get to the murders,
what do we know about this guy?

This guy's name was
william darrell lindsey.

People called him "red bird"
because of his red hair.

He was born
in palatka in 1935.

He worked multiple
manual labor jobs,

construction work, mechanic,
stuff like that.

For a while, he was living
downtown palatka,

which is probably
about three blocks

from your client's property.
- All right.

So since he lived so close
to my client's property,

that's probably what you meant
when you told me

that he probably drank there
at some point.

Yeah.
He was a raging alcoholic.

He was a drug abuser.
The guy was a womanizer.

He was chasing women
all over the bars in palatka.

I'm sure that he frequented that
bar at least a couple times.

All right. The murders,
what happened?

Well, the first m*rder
that we know of

was in 1983 over
in st. Augustine.

So he meets
his lady at a bar.

They go down to the beach
and have sex.

He ends up
strangling her to death,

takes her out to the woods,
and throws her in a pit.

Okay. So what happens
after that one?

It's 1988, he picks up
a prost*tute in st. Augustine,

r*pes her, beats her
to death with a board,

he puts cigarette burns
all over her body,

and he leaves bite marks
on her on top of that.

All right, so this is a sadistic
bastard we're talking about.

Got to be.
Got to be.

I know he eventually
gets caught.

How's that all go down?

So in 1996, he gets caught
and he's arrested up

in north carolina
for a m*rder.

He confesses to murdering
12 people down here.

They believe that he's
responsible for eight more.

Okay, so what did this rat
bastard wind up getting?

Ultimately, he cops
to a plea deal.

The plea deal is they give him
30 years in prison.

-30 years?
-30 years for eight people.

He deserved worse.

He goes to prison
for five years,

and then he d*ed
of cancer.

66 years of age.
Cheated the hangman.

He did.

Here's a photo of him
right before he d*ed.

All right, so this rat bastard
didn't get his just desserts?

Nope, didn't.

I see a female being att*cked.

She's feeling the pain, pain,
pain, pain, pain pain,

and then it's lights out.

I think there was damage on
the left side of her head, face.

There's damage indicating
I think bludgeoning.

any idea
when that was?

I'd place her anywhere from '80s
to now based on her outfit.

This woman is being taken,
taken away.

It happened very fast.

I feel like a lot of loss.
Confusion.

It feels like she was here
all the time,

all the time,
this chick who got taken.

All the sudden,
there's this psycho-looking guy.

I put him in his late 30s,
early 40s.

He's got kind of a brown,
reddish kind of hair.

He has a mutant kind of smile.
It was like distorted.

He seemed like a guy
who worked with his hands.

I caught a glimpse
of him in jail

with his head shaved.

he's a k*ller.

I saw a lot of disturbing things
on my walk,

but the dead kids
pushing people down

the stairs concerns me the most.

There's these two dead kids
there, a boy and a girl.

And there's like a living male
falling in the air.

Okay.

The stairs go down this way.

- amy, is this what you saw?
- Yes, that's what I saw.

Now that amy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal
our findings to each other

and our clients
for the first time.

So amy, I'd like you to meet
tiffany and her husband, johnny.

Now, this bar has been
in johnny's family for decades,

but after these two got married
around three years ago

and then decided
to do renovations here,

all hell broke loose.

Tiffany called us in because
the activity's gotten violent,

and she doesn't think it's safe
for anybody to be here.

So now that amy knows
a little bit about you guys,

I'll ask her to describe
her walk.

So the first thing I'm going to
talk about is partnerships

and how they always
go bad here.

And I was trying to figure out
why is this something

that keeps repeating itself
specific to this location?

And I kept getting
the word "curse."

the things that I feel is

it's not just necessarily
to this building,

but it seems like the entire
town's being held back.

It's funny because in the past,
amy's talked about curses

and usually associated a lot
with the native americans.

What I came across was that
this land we're sitting on

was part of the seminole
indian settlement,

and they'd been here
for hundreds of years.

Believe it or not, though,
when the white settlers first

came here during the 1700s,

they got along fine.
They traded. They hung out.

But come the 1800s,
the government,

they tried to get the whole
seminole nation out of here,

and it kind of pissed them off.

And in 1835,
they burnt this town down,

so by the time
the w*r ended in 1842,

you had 3,000 dead seminoles

and you had 1,600 dead
u.S. Government troops.

That w*r was considered,
right here on your land,

was considered the costliest w*r

between native americans
and u.S. Settlers.

That finally ended at them
signing a treaty

to get displaced,
and they went from florida,

they stuck their asses
in oklahoma.

So do you think it's possible
the seminole people

put a curse on this land?

Yeah, I do. I think
that's the logical conclusion.

It makes total sense.

Something's just not
right with the town.

Okay. So what else you got?

One of the dead that I
encountered was on this floor.

So I'm walking over there
and he was like,

"back off."

and that indicated to me
that this was his place,

possibly when he was alive.

It got that his death
was pretty recent

within the last
8 to 10 years.

Are we all thinking
the same thing?

I am.

So it sounds like the person
you may be talking about

is johnny's dad.

He owned this place
over 20 years.

Wow. Okay.

Your dad passed away
how long ago?

10 years ago. He was
the life of the party.

He loved being here.

That's why this is not
just a bar for you.

To keep it going
is paramount for me.

He's extremely protective
of women.

If a guy's getting pissy
towards a woman,

like, he has no problem being
like, pushing or shoving.

Does that sound like your pop?

Yeah. He would definitely
be a protector for sure.

I also thought though that
people might be able to see him,

because obviously he
can get really physical.

I've seen a man,
I've actually followed a man

that's about his height
and stature

thinking that
it was him.

Actually I have a photo of him
and johnny together,

which is a really great photo.
That's his dad right here.

So do you think the guy
that you saw is johnny's dad?

More than likely. Yeah.

If he's coming back to look
over the place

because he enjoyed being here,
I'm okay with that.

- all right, so what else?
- This next dead person

that I'm going
to talk about is a female.

She's one of the more active
dead people here.

She's creepy. She does invoke,
like, the fear response.

So a sudden onset of fear
and anxiety for no reason.

But I felt like you guys
would see her

because she's so active here.

You saw an apparition
of a woman.

Explain to amy what you saw.

She was in a period dress.

The woman that I saw.
I've seen her multiple times.

Now, we talked
about anxiety.

Yeah, I've had
that happen,

and it's like
all of a sudden this rush.

She was always climbing
the walls and the ceilings.

She likes to watch people
from up there.

I think that living people
would feel this.

Feel like
you're being watched.

When I spoke to
some of your employees,

a lot of them were saying
that they felt watched.

So I'm assuming it's got
to be this woman.

Yeah.

Now you described something
you saw across the street.

Tell amy what you saw when you
guys were hanging out outside.

I saw a in-humanly large shadow
thing with really long arms,

but was taller than the
buildings across the street.

Okay.

And it was walking down
the sidewalk towards me.

She was shaken.

That was horrific,
whatever it was.

Okay, that definitely
was not this woman.

I've seen something
similar to that.

It's called a watcher,
and it was associated

with a native american
location that was cursed.

- That's scary.
- I know.

And when they're that big,
it's, it's, yeah.

So we know that that shadow
is not the woman,

and we think
it's the indian curse.

Yes.

So, this woman,
you get any idea

about who she might have been
when she was alive?

There definitely was a direct
connection to this property.

I don't know if she owned it
or lived here and she was crying

and she just kind of fell
to her knees and was like,

"why? God, why?"

there was a loss
that she suffered

and I was leaning
towards children.

She's extremely
depressed.

She always carries
sadness with her

and the timeframe of her dying
is the 1920s.

Well, it's not a lot to go on,
but some of the things you said

reminded me of one of the really
early owners of the property.

Her name was mary boyd,

and she moved here
with her husband back in 1851.

Short time after
they moved here,

her husband and his business
partner got into trouble.

So the government wind up
seizing all the guy's property.

So to protect it, he wound up
signing this property

over to mary.

Mary got to keep the property,

but her life was pretty rough
from that point forward.

First of all, her husband
was an abusive ****

and like the woman you saw,

she lost three kids,
two boys and a girl

and all the kids
were under the age of three.

In 1876,

she had enough of the abuse
from this guy, and she left him.

- Good for her.
- Yeah.

She ended up buying
at her daughter's house

that's only a couple of blocks
from here,

and she d*ed
of a stroke in 1917,

and she was 87 years old
when she d*ed

and I got a couple
of photos of mary,

but she wasn't young, and this
is her with some grandkids.

This dead woman
has these two dead kids

with her
the majority of the time.

One's a male
and one's a female.

I put them at four
to five years of age.

So they're little psychopaths.
They're extremely physical.

They like
to touch people.

They have mom issues and they go
after females in particular.

Kind of inappropriate touching.

So my butt's
been grabbed a lot.

This is
not a good situation.

They are very active here
in the main bar.

These are the ones
who are moving,

breaking,
harming things.

Up here on this shelf
where all the mugs are,

one of them flew off
and shattered on the floor

in between two folks
that were sh**ting pool.

The most concerning thing
that these kids do

is they have a game

and it's a challenge game of who
could cause the best accidents.

Tell amy about the fan.

The fan in the middle
of the day,

not on, nobody around just fell.
There was no wood damage.

There's no water damage
in that area.

There's no termites.
It just fell out of the roof.

Johnny actually gave me video.
I'll show you.

So watch this area here.

It's coming out. Boom.
That's pretty dangerous.

They're all about fear,
chaos, and pain.

I also saw them pushing people
by the staircase.

We've had two people
that we know of that have been

pushed down the stairs
and injured pretty good.

- Did they feel hands?
- Yes.

I did have a sketch of what
I saw them doing on the stairs.

interesting.

Wow. I knew it.
This is terrible.

I'm so grateful that
somebody wasn't k*lled.

Now, what worries me though is
they know how to attach

so they can go home
with you.

So at home that night, it felt
like my foot had been grabbed

and twisted
the wrong way three times.

So is it possible that these
kids followed her home?

Yes, they're very cunning
and manipulative.

They like to jump people.
They like to

**** with your thoughts,
making people mentally unsound,

and they like to have people
k*ll themselves.

Lovely. I just knew there was
a lot here, but I had no idea.

Can I have a minute?
- Sure.

so, johnny, tiffany,

I know how important
this place is to both of you.

So now for the obvious question,

is there any way you can make
this place safe for you,

your employees,
and your patrons,

or will you just be
gambling with your lives?

So for that answer, I'm going
to turn it over to amy.

I know you're not going to like
what I have to say.

I understand
the want to remain here.

Your parents had this place
and they had dreams.

Unfortunately,
that's all it can be --

a dream.

The land is cursed
and there is a watcher.

This is one that was left behind
by the native americans,

who will remain and will
continue to reinforce the curse.

There is no stopping that.

My advice to you, walk away.

believe me, she does not want
to tell you this.

This is the worst, you know,
part of my job.

Crushing.

Very. Like unbelievably so.
We can't just walk away.

Our family's here.
Everything.

We owe it to them to fight,
and we owe it to his family.

It's hard to accept it.
This is home.

If leaving this location
is out of the question,

there are a plethora
of things that you can employ

like salt, sage,
sweet grass,

but all of them
are going to be temporary.

I will do my very best
to put as much love and light

as I can into
every space I go.

And at least now you know
what you're dealing with.

I give you guys
a lot of credit,

not for nothing
but you're looking

at the worst case scenario

that she can possibly tell you,
and you two are like,

you know what...

No, I was raised, when
you get knocked down

and get back up again
and you fight harder.

It's not the end.

Put a positive spin on it,
do our work, and make sure

it's as safe
as possible for everybody.

I wish I had better news
for johnny and tiffany,

but unfortunately, their bar
sits on cursed land.

I think they'd be
better off walking away,

but since they're
determined to fight,

they'll need to do
daily cleansings

to keep their employees
and customers safe.

since amy and steve came through
and helped us understand

the depth of
the paranormal activity here

and the history behind it,

johnny and I have
since embraced it.

It was really hard
to swallow at first,

but along with our friends
and loved ones,

we went through, cleansed
and blessed the entire bar.

You can feel the positive
energy in the air.

Johnny and I are going
to continue with our dream

to make this place

and to keep this place
an amazing space to come

and enjoy for years and years
and generations to come.
