of a fellow detective... Steven Mason.

Detective Mason was last seen

entering a warehouse on the L.A. River.

Approximately minutes
after he entered the warehouse,

it exploded with Detective Mason inside.

What was he doing in the warehouse?

Looking into a commercial developer

suspected of corrupt
business practices...

The owner of that warehouse

and the cop investigating him goes away.

the charges were dropped.
