JASON: Russians are
about to drop the hammer.

Metal will smell us before he hears us.

His leg injury was aggravated,

and a bone shard sliced
his femoral artery.

The doctors did everything
they could, but...

Full Metal's gone.

He gave his life for ours.

Shielded us from an RPG.

Took the brunt of it.

Guessing, with Alpha here,
we're gonna be relieved

from deployment early.

If Metal saves us any time
on this ship, he, uh...

really was a hero to the end.

Never seen him lose someone in battle.

on Metal in that helo...

we thought we saved him.

You know, all he's endured,

this might be the loss that
pushes him over the edge.

longer than any of us.

He has his ways to deal with this.

SONNY: All those numbers
he won't delete from his phone.

(BREATHING HEAVILY)

(GROANS SOFTLY)

(JASON EXHALES)

So, uh, Metal wanted

a burial at sea.

Planning has already begun. We'll...

lay him to rest before we depart.

JASON: He, uh...

his things. And, uh...

in case he got k*lled in battle, he, uh,

wanted this to be... read.

So I thought, um... (EXHALES)

"To the knuckleheads of Bravo Team.

So that's it. I'm gone.
(CHUCKLES SOFTLY)

How it happened doesn't matter,

but if the details of my demise
weren't super ninja,

please change them so
the tadpoles who come after

know Full Metal didn't ride
the crazy train... he drove it".

- (LAUGHS)

"I hope I d*ed a Team
guy and not just a SEAL.


I hope I held the line like
those who came before us.


I hope I did my job.

- I know people on the outside..."
- FULL METAL: I know people on the outside

look at my life and see emptiness:

no wife,

no kids,

no pets,

no plants.

But I married the Teams for a reason.

(PLAYING "TAPS")

I loved her with all my heart.

I have no regrets.

If the purpose of life is purpose,

I found mine.

My choice was a commitment to serve.

The b*ttlefield was my home.

And if I couldn't live forever,

I'm glad I left this world

doing what I love most

with the people I love most.

I miss you guys already.

Congrats on escaping sea life.

I'd feel better about leaving this ship

if I wasn't leaving you here

to put up with a predator.

Just really wish that we'd found

any other woman that he'd done this to.

because we're really the only two people

Have to say, you looking to me

to make that call when the
Russians were closing in,

well, that was...

as welcome as a outhouse breeze.

(CHUCKLES SOFTLY)

Got to admit, though, it did...

did feel pretty damn good, you know?

That faith that you put in me,
being more than just a sh**t.

team needed you to step up.

This deployment opened my
eyes to how arrogant that is.

just as hard inside the wire

as we do outside the wire.

Because

surviving the b*ttlefield

we don't suffer from it.
