05x03 - Journey Down Norman's Memory Lane

Post by bunniefuu »

Do you want to scooch
to your right a little bit?

So where do I look?

You can look right
into the screen.

I'm a professional
damn Hollywood actor.

I'm not supposed to look here.

Or there.

"Ride" season five.

We were going places.

Let's get out of this rat race.

But the world,

It had other plans.

Are we taking the bikes
back? What are we doing?

We wrap?

Don't worry, Ramon, it's coming.

So with the bikes grounded...

My god, I'm in love.

It's my chance to
revisit the people...

The places...

Captain's log, "star
trek enterprise,".

We have run out of gas.

In the deserts of Joshua
tree... And the moments...

Cheers. Cheers, brother.

That have made
this one of the most.

Rewarding journeys of my life.

This is my dream come true.

Because what's the point of.

Capturing your
adventures on camera...

Whoa, you just
get that on camera?

If you can't relive
your favorite memories.

Once in a while?

Man.

This is a magical corner
of the world right here.

- Yeah!
- Alright, hit it!

Here we go!

Yeah, baby.

So not ready.

Are you ready to talk about your
favorite moments from the show?

Yeah, let's do it.

What have you been up
to during all this madness?

What have I been doing
during the covid craziness?

Spending time with my
daughter, which has been great.

A little bit of gardening,

Catching a ride here and there.

We came back from new Zealand
and we did the two rides there.

And, I mean, we were on our way.

To Italy and Croatia
and all these places,

And I got the call that we
weren't going anywhere.

So, you know, I'm trying to
stay busy like everybody else.

I miss it. I miss
packing my little bag.

I miss going to all
these cool places.

I miss seeing everyone's faces.

Mama, look at your boy.

Every episode is a
different adventure.

I miss it. I hope we
get back to it soon.

Imagine waking up
every day and riding this.

That went from weed
smell to cow poop.

Did I just ruin it? Did I
just ruin the whole thing?

You brought some
of your favorite people.

Out on the road.

What does it take to
be a good co-rider?

Somebody that wants to have fun.

The most important thing is to
have a really open personality.

And want to be there.

Good.

Have that sort of
adventurous type of spirit.

Alright, you know what, it.

I'm just going.

Everybody that goes
anywhere on an episode of "ride".

Usually has the
time of their life.

My god!

If we don't b*at
the crap out of them.

Norman, did you have
a wish list of guests.

When the show started?

Yeah, I had a big
wish list of guests.

And miss it. Miss
it. Miss it. Yay.

Pleasure.

Your show was a big
inspiration for this show.

There's a lot of
people that I got on.

That I was really
excited to get on.

You know, I was when
dead Kennedys started,

Too young to know better.

You're always doing
a movie somewhere.

Every time I talk to you,
you're somebody else,

Somewhere else. I am. I
forget who I am sometimes.

I just get to be me now.

Yeah.

How are you, buddy? Pretty
good, buddy. How about yourself?

Nice to see you.
Good to see you, yeah.

Yeah!

To start the series
with peter Fonda,

I was super excited.

I'm taking a ride
with peter Fonda.

This is like the... it's
like a dream come true.

He's an icon. "Easy rider"
is one of those movies.

That every motorcycle rider
ever has watched, you know?

So all his movies and his
personality and his look,

Everything about him,

You know, it's something
that I grew up with.

I'm going to take
you down this road.

It's a really beautiful ride.

He showed us Florida,

And he happened to
know Florida really well.

Alright, I'm following you.

So beautiful on this bridge.

It's just perfect.

It's perfect. Yeah.

In , I took the
western that directed.

With warren Oates and
traveled around Europe.

I picked up on Mercedes
. , at that time,

The fastest sedan in the world.

We were going through
Europe at , miles an hour.

On the autobahn.

Just screaming down the road,

Loving every minute of it.

I didn't have any big
expectations, really.

I just wanted to
hang out with him.

I wonder if this is
illegal. I hope it is.

I wanted to hear his stories.

I wanted to, you know,
just sort of be around him.

I love riding because it
forces focus, and I need that.

Right. And once you get
into that thing of focus.

And you get easy with it,

Then you can actually look
around and see what there is.

Yeah.

Yeah, baby!

Let me get your photo
right here next to this thing.

I mean, since his passing,

I don't know if I
remember him differently.

I remember him
the exact same way.

I really, really miss him. I
really liked that guy a lot.

Yeah, too good. Too good.

What about riding with Jeffrey
dean Morgan in England?

Riding with Jeffrey dean
Morgan in England was fun.

Hi, buddy. Yeah.

So good to be back.

Jeffrey was new to
"the walking dead."

Negan is a big character
in the comic book,

So he was like on
all these t-shirts.

I don't know what to expect.

I mean, I've seen the
pictures of the rocks,

You know, but that's about it.

We went to Stonehenge,

Which was not exactly what
I thought it was going to be.

That it right there, dude?

There it is. No way.

I expected it to be on a
mountaintop or something,

Not on the edge of the freeway.

Yeah, that's crazy.

It's like seeing the world's
biggest ball of rubber bands.

It was kind of like
pulling into a mcdonald's.

Look at that.

I feel like this is when the
spaceship came down right here.

Kind of "close
encounters." yeah.

And then we kind of did, like,

Some sort of very
touristy thing...

We're the youngest people here,

Which isn't saying much.

Pull!

Where you sort
of pulled the rope,

And maybe that's how
they move the rocks.

Pull!

It doesn't feel like
it's moving, does it?

Pull!

There it comes. Come on.

Nice.

The aliens, I think, just
did it with a laser g*n.

And it was much easier.

I'm impressed that
it got up and down.

I kind of like to think
it was still aliens,

But it was still pretty fun.

There's such a rich
history in England.

It makes everything in
America look brand new.

These rolling hills to the
right are just gorgeous.

This is proper country, England,

Damn straight.

And then we run
into Andrew Lincoln.

Don't be late for
my in-laws, man.

We are minutes away.

Don't embarrass me.

We will definitely
embarrass you.

That's happening.

Wow, look at this place, bro.

We went going to go
meet his wife's father, ian.

- Hey. Good to see you.
- Yeah. Good to see you.

Ian is Jethro Tull.

You know, and
there's photos of ian.

In, like, spandex
with his flute.

He's got the crazy hair.
And then you go to his house.

And he lives in this castle,
this manor out in the woods.

It'll be really nice if
we've got a cup of tea.

Maybe get our Jeeves
chappie to come here.

And see if we can
see get a nice cup of...

Yo, what's up?

I got your crumpets.

- Hi, Jeeves.
- Yay, Jeeves.

We were on set
on "walking dead,".

And I had sent ian an e-mail.

Saying "hey, we're
coming to England.

We'd love to
have you on 'ride.'"

But I didn't mention
it to Andy on purpose.

Because we play these
little jokes and other.

And then he said, "hey, so ian
told me you e-mailed him about,

You know, being on the 'ride.'

You know, I'll be there if you
want me to be on the show."

And I was like, "no,
no, no, no. It's good.

I just want ian."

And I let that sit for, like,
three days before I was like,

"please, yes, please
be on the show."

Sound like you and Andy.

Have a pretty
playful relationship.

Yeah, we have a really
playful relationship.

We started "the
walking dead" together.

And we did so
much press together.

And I think our characters kind
of grew as our friendship grew.

Andy's one of my
favorite people ever.

That's good.

It's good, though,
right? That's really good.

Don't overdo the crumpets, lads,

Because we're having a
quick ride around the farm.

On the motorbike.

Finally on a
motorcycle. Finally.

Let's do it.

My suggestion is to
stay in second gear,

Keep your weight back,

And try and avoid the
worst of the soggy bits.

At one point, I don't know.

If it really made it on camera,

But I pulled up in front of
Andy like in a foot of mud.

And I was like, "does it...

Is my back tire kind
of flat right now?

It feels like it's flat."

And he sort of leaned down
and looked at the back tire.

In a went "weeeeh"...

No, you just got me!

And just squirted him with mud.

You son of a bitch.

Kind of the highlight
of the whole trip for me.

You're such a d*ck.

Covered in mud now.

I love this.

Norman. What's up, bro?

Yeah.

Dave chappelle is someone
we get asked about pretty often.

Do you want to talk about
how he got on the show?

Dave, he's a fan of
"the walking dead."

So I first met him at
one of our after parties.

For one of our premieres.

So one day I'm walking through
Soho and I hear this, "Norman!"

And I turn around and
dave's there across the street.

He goes, "it's Dave chappelle."

Do you remember seeing me in
new york walking around Soho?

The first thing I mentioned
was this show. Yeah. Yeah.

I was like, "please
let me do that show."

Hell yeah, dude. You're
my favorite. Hell yes.

And then we got
him on the episode.

Now we're in Buford.
A lovely day in Buford.

He's such a dynamic guy
like, I mean, super smart,

Super loving, super friendly.

Thank you. Hey, thanks.

How do you come up
with ideas for sketches?

We basically lock
ourselves in a room.

We'd argue for two hours
and write for an hour.

Yeah. So the
show is almost like.

An extension of
a personal dialog.

Dave sees the world
in a certain way.

He kind of sees it
off-kilter a little bit.

He kind of like... he
sees it for what it is,

And he's not afraid
to talk about it.

Did you always have the creative
freedom to do whatever you want?

Part of the fun was finding
a way to get the point across.

And every once in a
while, stepping over the line.

To take something
that's uncomfortable.

Where you can laugh about
it really, like, opens the door.

To, like, have conversation.

And I always admired comedians.

I expect people just want
him to be funny all the time,

Like be the funny guy.

But when you get the chance
to have a real conversation.

With the guy, you just
love him even more.

I could do that all day.

Like, there was one moment
where we got caught in the rain.

We parked our bikes
under an overpass,

And we just sat there
and started talking.

That's my favorite
thing about, like, Miami,

Those little Cuban coffees.

Cuban food's
like... that's jet fuel.

I know exactly what
you're talking about. Yeah.

This is a good episode,
dude. You're fun.

Like, I'm really,
really enjoying myself.

The show is really
dope. It's fun, yeah.

When it works, it's
really, really good.

First season, I
just heard about it.

Then I saw it and was like,
"yo, I got to be on this show."

Just the idea of it,
I was like, "I'm in."

He was the surprise guest
at a comedy club in savannah.

Are you ready
for your headliner?

You got it. Keep it
going. Keep it going.

Yeah, yeah!

Thank you all.

Everybody,

I smoked Spanish moss today.

And in case you was wondering,

Nothing happened.

It takes kind of a super genius.

To be able to read
a room like that.

And that's why Dave
chappelle is Dave chappelle.

He's got that gift.

All I ask from you,

If you a person that
got some towers in you.

Or a person that got
some understanding.

Beyond yourself
in you, let it out.

Let's change the world.

Alright, thank you
guys for being here.

I had a wonderful trip.
Norman, we will ride again.

I was just... I was blown away.

I mean, just a
super special guy.

To be able to ride with him.

And see the world
through his eyes.

For a little bit was
really, really fun.

This is awesome.

Yeah, this could
not be prettier.

- We're in Hawaii, man.
- So here's Barcelona.

Welcome to London, baby.

Give me your favorite
places that we've been.

- My god!
- Wow.

You know, they all
have their moments.

And they're all different
and special in their own way.

I don't think I've ever been
this high in the sky before.

On the ground.

We haven't been
anywhere that was boring.

Thank god.

Japan was really fun.

It was wild because
we had Ryan in the city,

And I hadn't seen
Ryan in a minute.

He'd gone off to India on
this sort of spiritual journey.

You know, doing the fish market,
just sort of getting caught up.

In the smells and everything.

What are these, little pastries?

Yeah? Can I try one?

Yeah, it's my breakfast.
This is so good.

And I turn a corner,

And there's Ryan towering
above everybody else.

With a... with literally
a turban on his head.

Yeah. Good to see you, man.

Good to see you.

How are you? Good, man.

Last time I saw him,

He had a dead
guy's face on his face.

And he was trying
to k*ll everybody.

Wow, you're a very
interesting dude. Okay.

You have this.

You've got the "sons of
anarchy," "walking dead".

Crazy characters. Yes.

It was quite the opposite
of what I was used to.

Why spend a little
more time there?

Why did we do
two episodes there?

There's such a
difference between Tokyo.

And outside of Tokyo.

We wanted to do a
really fast-paced episode...

Are we on acid right now?

That captured what
it's like to live in Tokyo,

Which I've done.

And you also wanted to
see, you know, the zen,

The mountains, the
meditative part of japan,

Because it's such a big
part of the culture there.

Kanpai. Kanpai. Cheers.

Milo, we did the country part,

And Milo knew japan
really, really well.

And bow?

Bow. Bow, yeah.

He understood Japanese
culture, which is a big deal.

Nice to meet you.

Speak Japanese?

So, what got you into japan?

How do you know
so much about japan?

There was something about
the culture of it that I just

I love, and it's like
there's the history.

There's the ceremony
behind it that's enjoyed.

Yeah.

So, do people get their
motorcycles blessed a lot?

Yeah, you know,
bike has a spirit too.

Spirits too. Yeah, like a human.

We were at that one temple,

And the guy came out and
blessed our motorcycles.

Thank you so much.

Go, please, go get warm.

And he came out
with these little socks.

That were like this.

He's walking through
ice and snow to do this.

In japan, nobody really
does anything half-assed.

There's a certain thing
which is very ingrained.

In the Japanese culture
is they really take pride.

In doing everything
they do really well.

I'm fascinated by
this coffee thing.

It's not really a place.

Where they just
mass produce junk.

We'll put some shades on.

You have to be dedicated to it,

And it's got to mean
something to you.

This is so beautiful.

This is original paint.

Wow.

So to go to those places
and see how hard it is.

And how... how much
focus you have to have,

Really interesting.

Thanks for doing this, man.

Thank you for having me, bro.

I have a love affair
with costa rica,

So doing that episode with
dom was... was really good.

He's an old, old friend of mine.

We used to ride bmx
bikes around the city.

Go get to-go margaritas
in the east village.

And just roll around like that.

Young, wild, and free.

You know, you're
like my brother.

Yeah, bro. And we
used to fight like brothers.

Yeah, I know. Yeah.

We'd throw each other
through tables and stuff.

We did that at piano's bar.

We did it several
places as well.

Let's do this. Alright.

He was kind of in a slump.

His wife was just like,

"go visit Norman. Go have fun."

You know, it's amazing.
The feeling I have right now.

Is the feeling I had when
we were hanging out.

In new york driving bmx around.

That joy that I saw on
his face was something.

That I knew he needed.

And costa rica, that's like
my favorite place on earth.

I just thought, you
know, the combination.

Of those two things
would be just awesome.

Dom rocket in costa rica.

Got the team back together.

We rode all the way up
to the top of this mountain.

To this place called
the cloud forest.

And clouds were
literally going through us.

This is the prettiest
thing I think I've ever seen.

I'm with you, for real.

There's such a
calm feeling up here.

I feel like heaven or something.

It's like in a dream, you know.

Wet heaven.

It wasn't like,

"let's take a selfie"
type of a moment.

It was more like, "let's
just lay down and live here."

If it feels like we're
just exfoliating.

It's so good.

What's really cool
about costa rica.

Is it's this pura vida
sort of vibe there.

You know, the whole place
has a certain energy to it.

You know, the thing
about costa rica is like

I'd only seen one part of
it. I never saw the rest of it.

And it's magic. It's just
like magic everywhere.

Yeah.

You just feel like time just
sort of slows down there.

Like there's no rush.

No one's in a rush
to get anywhere.

This is paradise right here.

Just take this

I'm melting. Just want to
watch that sun go down here.

Costa rica's eating me.
Gimme, gimme, gimme.

It's eating me.
Help. Up, up, up.

God.

Life sometimes
just... it gets so busy.

And you're off doing this
and off doing that and...

Cheers. Cheers, my brother.

I think we... we officially have
caught up with each other.

Yeah. And then some.

You need to go take a dirt bike
and just watch the sun go down.

And turn it all off.

We did this one episode
in Scotland with Melissa.

It's good to see you.

And that trip was
really special.

Because she had a
connection to Scotland,

Which was very personal to her.

Have you been here before?
You been to Scotland before?

- I've never been here before.
- I haven't either.

I was looking up my
ancestry, and I found.

That... that I have
relatives in Aberdeen.

When you get a hit, it's
like "this is so exciting."

It's like uncovering a mystery.

I'm here to see a historian.

Okay.

To be able to give
her that opportunity...

That's my
great-great-grandfather.

To find out about
that side of her family...

This is overwhelming.

Overwhelming, yeah.

And to be able to
take that trip with her,

It... it meant a lot.

We'd planned to
ride motorcycles,

But the weather
was not having it.

Everywhere you look
is amazingly gorgeous.

This is your roots
right here, girl.

But it didn't feel like it
mattered on that trip.

It was kind of like
we were on a mission.

We were going to get
there no matter what.

This is it.

It's your dream? This
is my dream come true.

It's just kind of
crazy being here.

It's like an Easter egg hunt.

We ended up finding the grave.

Wait, wait.

Yeah, that's it.

And we ended up taking
wax paper and chalk.

And sort of going
over the grave,

Which was, like, ridiculous
because it was super windy.

Where'd you get
that rock, Norman?

That's not part of a tombstone,
is it? Over by the wall.

We'd have to hold it down.

And it'd rip and
all these things.

I think I learned that in, like,
high school or something.

It's great, right?

I don't know why I'm
emotional. I'm sorry.

No, no.

Just like on "walking dead,"
when Melissa cries, I cry.

We found it. I know.

But it meant a lot to her,
so it meant a lot to me.

I'm glad we got to do this.

Yeah, I'm glad we did it
together. Unforgettable.

That was one of my
favorite trips, for real.

I think we should call lunch.

Yeah. Bye.

Okay, where were we?

Do you want to talk about.

Some of your favorite
motorcycle clubs?

Yeah, "ride" was the first time

I ever rode with
a motorcycle club.

There's a stereotype
with bikers.

But all I've seen, it's about
giving back to the community.

More than it is
about anything else.

That's just part of what
people in eastern Kentucky do.

Is when there's a good cause,

Everybody comes
out and gets into it.

- That's... that's awesome.
- Yeah.

It's about friendship.

What's up? What's up, what's up?

You know, it's a
sense of family.

We've met a lot
of female groups.

Hi. Nice to meet you. How
are you? Hi. Nice to meet you.

My name is Brent Hines.
Very nice to meet you.

But it was these bad ass
women in new Orleans,

Caramel curves,
yeah, that was early on.

The most beautiful
bikers I've ever met.

Without a doubt.

How'd you get the
name showstopper?

You can't tell?

Your bikes are
beautiful out there.

- Thank you.
- They're so nice.

Can you do some tricks for us?

That's what I do.

My tire, when I burn
smoke, it's colored.

O.M.G.

This just looks like the
fastest bike I've seen in a while.

Dude, these girls
are going to smoke us.

Have you pinned it?

I've gotten to
if I'm going to work.

on the freeway.

And then I'm a nurse,
so I got on these scrubs.

Wow, wow, wow, wow.

Then I'm coming across
the high rise gunning it.

You ready? Yes, ma'am.

Alright, let's get it.

They would paint
their back tires.

And they would literally
have high heels on.

Tru, so them what...
What girls do on 'busa.

They're on these, like,
supercharged sport bikes.

That's a 'busa .

Most guys scared to ride a .

And they would do
burnouts on their bikes.

The sky fills up full of...
Full of these different colors.

That's a , .

- Is it really?
- Yeah.

Okay, watch the.

Wow.

Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo.

B.B.O.B.

Bad babes on bikes.

I think I'm in love right now.

We met a lot of
these bad ass girls.

On these bikes on the show.

And they're very
inspiring women.

I'm like a first
woman writer to write.

For, like, three of the
magazines I write for now.

They're influencers as well.

I thought, "wouldn't
it be amazing to ride.

A motorbike around the world?"

And is this the helmet that
you rode through everywhere?

That is my round
the world helmet.

I think the most incredible
thing about your story.

Is, like, the attitudes that
were around at the time.

They were actually quite
derogatory towards you.

For even saying that
you were going to do it.

This is springtime in Valencia.

Yeah, these are beautiful.

I am the first Hispanic
who drive around.

The world in her motorbike.

A great way to see the world.

And there's like
a sense of pride,

And it's really cool.

Any other favorite riding clubs.

You want to talk about?

Yeah, I mean, one
of the cool groups.

We... we rode with was
the cypress hillbillies.

- Yeah.
- Yeah, right on.

It was sen dog
from cypress hill,

And he had a motorcycle club.

And we went out
to their clubhouse.

And kind of sh*t the
with them for a while.

This bike is a beast
right there. That's yours?

That's mine. That's
Lucinda right there.

Lucinda. That's... that's a
serious motorcycle right there.

Yeah. I didn't really
expect, you know,

To love it as much as I did.

Not just the bike,
just the whole culture,

Just a whole family of people
that we all love the same thing.

We've been rolling for
seven years this year.

It'll be our eighth
year in a few months.

We're still at it. No
other life, you know?

I'm a huge cypress hill fan.

Some of these photos
over here. Look at this.

That's at Irvine meadows,

Beastie boys, cypress
hill, and house of pain.

That was right before
the concert started.

They were rolling
dice right there,

And b-real took like
, bucks off everybody.

And they had a "boondock
saints" poster on the wall.

So I was like, "whoo."

We love that dude.

Dude, that just made
my whole day even better.

Right there.
That's real, brother.

I keep finding
people that are fans,

And it's wild because
I'm such big fans of theirs.

Meeting rob halford was awesome.

We were in Arizona
with Austin amelio.

Dude, how much did you
listen to Judas priest as a kid?

Well, you're like...
You're a lot older than me.

But I did listen
to Judas priest.

What the are you talking about?

I used to be really into only
punk rock music at one time.

Except rob halford
and Judas priest.

Ding, dong, ding,
dong, ding, dong.

So I'm a big fan of
rob halford's already.

The bells of metal.

Yeah.

Thanks for having us. Yes.

Come on in.

Welcome to the home of metal.

I'd like to show you something.

No way.

He had this big collection of.

All these, like,
big metal rings.

I'm a bit of a heavy metal
freak with ring collections,

So I got you a couple.

Figure out which one is for
you and which one is for Daryl.

Me, Daryl.

There you go. You got it in one.

He couldn't have
been a sweeter guy.

Thank you so much.
That's super sweet of you.

All of a sudden, he
goes, "wait right here.

I'll be right back."

And he comes
downstairs with this jacket,

Must have weighed
like pounds.

Can I try it on?
Yeah, of course.

Yes. Double crossed horn look.

Awesome.

It's like you put this on
and you just feel power.

I love it.

Then he goes, "look over
your shoulder in the mirror,".

And he's got my Daryl
Dixon wings from my vest.

Made onto the
back of his jacket,

The exact same wings.

My guy that makes
all the stuff for me,

I said, "you know,
there's this great tv show,

And there's this
great character,

And he wears this
item of clothing.

That's become a really
important part of his personality."

So that was my
inspiration, my inspiration.

And he went on tour
wearing my angel wings.

On his back of his jacket.

That just is the greatest
thing I've ever heard.

I might be crying
a little right now.

Tissue, please.

There's a few things that
have happened to me in my life.

Where I, like, super geek out.

And having the
singer for Judas priest.

Wear my angel wings
on his jacket on tour.

Is one of those things.

Yo, Patrick, you need to stop...

Let's stop at this pink hotel.

You want me to talk
about peeing on the show?

Yes. Really? Okay.

Well, sometimes you have to pee.

There's one time in Hawaii
I had to pee, like, really bad.

- Hi.
- How you doing?

Could we use your
bathroom real quick?

Yeah, of course.

We have a great
bathroom out back.

Look at this.

To get to the bathroom of
this really cool old hotel...

This is great.

And there was a long
plank into the sky...

Look at this. Go in there.

To a bathroom with
like a -degree.

Of the beautiful
Hawaiian sunset.

Do you feel more
connected to nature now?

A little bit.

Listen to how far down it goes.

That was a weird question.

You're a super weird person.

My god, that's awesome.

You got to try some
memorable local cuisine.

On the show.

It doesn't taste like nothing.

Yeah, tastes like dirt.

Yeah, let's talk about food.

First frog leg.

We eat a lot of
food on the show.

I'm not even hungry at all.

We're about to do
an eating scene.

Like, I'm not even
at sort of hungry.

I'm going for it.
Are you going for it?

Whoa, that's spicy.

I mean, you're on a motorcycle
all day, then you go eat.

This looks delicious.

And then you sit back
down on a motorcycle.

Stop feeding me on this show.

Like, stop feeding me.

Some of the food
is just delicious.

Look, sea urchin. Ooh, wow.

The sea urchin in Spain,

That was like the most
delicious thing I've ever eaten.

Do you chop the top off and
eat it? Yeah, chop the top.

- Ready?
- Ready.

Cheers.

My god, that's awesome.

And, you know, japan's
got so much good food.

It's like a pizza. Yeah.

There's been times when
production's forced you.

To eat things, maybe...

It's that girl sitting
next to you, Lizzy.

She makes you eat stuff.

We go to Uruguay.

Hi, I'm Becky.

How are you, Becky?
What's up? Hi. I'm Norman.

Gaston takes us to this market.

Wow, this is...
this is great here.

This market. It's a nice place.

This used to be an historic
market for food and meat.

I was really trying
hard to be a vegetarian.

I was, like, really k*lling it.

Meat is a really
big deal in Uruguay.

And we sit down with this guy
and he's got the livers of this,

And the hearts of this,

And all these different
kinds of meats everywhere.

Very tender piece.

Just like meat, meat city.

- Cheers.
- Cheers.

You have to try the black thing.

There was one thing
that was like a gelatinous.

Brown-red goop.

What is it?

No.

Blood sausage, yeah.

I mean, just the
name alone, I was...

It was like.

And the smell was
just making me sick.

Yeah, I mean, I didn't
want to be insulting.

He was bragging about the
best meats from the north.

And the thing and the stuff.

Alright. I'll try it.

You were right. It's sweet.

It's sweet, sweet.

You got to try too.

Feel like I'm on "fear factor."

For the rest of the
day, all you can taste.

Is this crap in your mouth.

I'll have some more
of that cheese now.

Just to wash down that blood.

It's like stuck in my teeth.

Not to be disrespectful to
the meat lovers of Uruguay.

It was delicious.

It wasn't really delicious.

That messed me up for a while.

Melissa and I tried the
haggis balls in Scotland.

Should we try haggis
or are we too afraid?

We could try it.

I still don't know
exactly what haggis is.

So it's a sheep
or calf's organs.

Boiled in its own stomach.

Yeah. Delicious.

I was going to have
that for dinner, actually.

Haggis is a traditional
Scottish meal.

But you definitely need to taste
it if you haven't had it before.

Can you get a side of haggis?
Like a little... that much?

Just like a little
appetizer version.

Yeah, that's lovely.

I like your hat.

I feel like the hat's
a little distracting.

I like it. It's like
eccentric upper east side.

Yeah.

Here you go, guys.
So this is your haggis.

Those are big balls.

Balls up.

Ready? Not really.

It's kind of juicy.

I'm waiting on you. I'm
not going to go by myself.

Good. You like it?

I didn't actually try it.

I kind of chickened out.

I think when you know
what it is... It's worse.

And then you get a
strange little texture.

Yeah. Let's have another bite.

See if we can taste
the... the certain spots.

Can you taste the stuff?

Yeah, I lied.

Do you test each individual
piece of the sheep?

Maybe if you mix it with
the sauces and stuff?

Well, when in Rome.

We did it. We did it.

Haggis balls. Haggis balls.

She tried it. I don't think
she liked it very much.

I have to say, I wasn't
impressed with the haggis.

You didn't like it? It's
just me. It's just me.

Can I confess something?

Yeah. I didn't actually eat it.

Norman! I know, I'm
sorry. I owe you one.

Well, yay me.

I couldn't have
haggis for breakfast.

I just couldn't do it.

Look at my hair.

Can it grow a little
longer, maybe?

Would you be so kind
as to just give me a clap?

How does it change
the ride for you.

When you're with somebody
you've known for a long time?

It's kind of different
because you have, like,

Life experiences
with this person.

And then it's the two of you
going on an adventure together.

You kind of take that with you.

And add it to the list
of... of your memories.

I want you to see the
beauty that Texas offers.

Some of these flowers will
drop you to your knees, brother.

Sean Patrick flannery
and I did an episode.

Where we go through
Texas. And he's from Texas.

Where are you going, daddy?

I'm going with reedstein.

We're going to tour the
great state of Texas, the gst.

Like really, really from Texas.

Look at that big gst flag.

Great state of Texas, baby.

I've known Sean since
we did "boondock saints."

You know, we were
both young dudes.

Making that movie
like a million years ago.

We were insane. We
needed babysitters on set.

We did not have one.

He's kind of like
my older brother.

Like, he picks on me
like an older brother.

My shoulder has
never been the same.

Since that "boondock
saints" movie.

That's crazy, man.

And I'm glad you remember that,

'cause I tell people
that story about.

- How I hurt my shoulder.
- Nah, brother, I remember that.

Glad you're backing me up.

I mean, don't get me wrong,

I still think you're
a little bitch.

But he's like a great guy.

If I was going
into battle for real,

I'd want a Sean
Patrick flannery.

I'm exhausted just watching you.

You want to throw
a gi on, get choked?

Hell no.

He, like, beats
me at everything.

Here we go. Line's
hot. On the beep.

We had a sh**ting competition.

He dusted me at that.

Easy. Set it down.
Move, move, move. Good.

Good.

- Nice.
- : .

I would like to thank
the great state of Texas.

For my victory and my balls.

You guys need to race. I'm down.

We had a drag race.

Good luck, home skillet.

Big, like, formula
type of race car things.

I'm pretty positive
he jumped the light,

Because they were like,
"ready, set," and he was gone.

But he b*at me at that as well.

I want a do-over.

Sean beats me at everything.

Boom!

I want a do-over.

Sean Patrick
flannery, right there.

But yeah, we're good friends.
Please don't b*at me up.

God bless, everybody.

Alright, homey. That
was a good one?

That's fun. Brother,
that was fun.

Buddy. What's up?

Michael rooker, I just asked
if... if he would be on the show.

And he said yes,
like, right away.

You know, we go way back.
We're really good friends.

The brothers together again.

I'm always playing somebody's
brother on something.

Always the younger brother.

But he's another guy
I look up to like Sean.

And he's just a
tornado of a personality.

Alright, you're doing it.

Don't mess me up.

Okay, so turning.

And turn right. Turn.

Good job.

You make it look too easy.

We have a really
good time together.

And he's a really good actor.

I was so excited
when they told me.

That we were playing
brothers on "walking dead,"

I was like, "the dude from.

Portrait of a serial k*ller, '

My god."

And it was wild to go
on that episode with him.

Back to his hometown.

This was my grade school.

Wow. What were
you like in school?

I flunked first grade.

How do you flunk first grade?

All you do is listen to
stories and eat crackers.

His stories and going back to.

When he was a little
kid causing havoc.

When you were a kid
playing stunt man and stuff,

Did you ever think you're going
to grow up and be a movie star?

God, no. Not even an inkling.

Now you're being filmed.

Motorcycling through
your neighborhood.

It all comes full
circle, Yeah, right.

- Cheers, guys.
- Right on.

We were with Brent and his
girl, and one of the stories.

Rooker told us, he
was talking about.

How he wanted to be an actor,
which was super rooker-ish.

I was always the kid
that would look at the tv.

Watching a commercial.
I'd be going, like,

"there's no way you eat
a hamburger like that."

It would piss me off.

I would get up and my sisters.

Would be looking
at me like I'm crazy.

And I'd get up and
go, like, "turn that off."

And I'd walk away.

So you start your new season,

Like, in a few days,
right? I do, yeah.

We rode all the way from
his hometown back to Atlanta,

Where we started "the
walking dead" together.

I was on my way to go to work.

It's so wild to just take a
ride directly onto the set,

Basically, of "the
walking dead" and start.

I'm following a camera
van, talking to rooker,

Who played my
brother on the show.

I'm seeing Atlanta
in the distance.

It was wild, like, kind of
remembering my lines.

For tomorrow, rehearsing
them in my mind.

This is literally the street
I take to work every day.

It was super surreal.

Look at this guy over here.

Yeah.

You know, I started
"walking dead" with rooker.

He's the first cast mate that
I became good friends with.

And we became really close.

It's important that
we give back to you.

A piece that you gave us.

My god.

Look, it's my hand.

He's like my brother for real.

My brother who we...
We started this together,

And how perfect that we
ride from your hometown.

Back to Georgia together?
You know what I mean?

Dude, I got to tell
you, I am... I am

I can't even talk. I
love this. I love this.

Okay, last question.

Is this the last, last
question this time...

Yes, it's the last question.

Or are we going to have
another last question?

That's rude. I'm rude.
Sorry. I apologize.

Looking back on five seasons,
do you have any final thoughts?

You know, we started as.

A different type of
a show altogether.

I'm really proud of where
the show has gotten to.

I feel like we found our rhythm.

With guests and with locations.

We went out to shake
hands and meet new people,

And I think that's what
makes it interesting.

- Alright.
- Alright.

Yeah.

Yeah! That was awesome.

This is like my time
to go out and be me.

It's nice to go out and have
experiences around the world.

It's been an
eye-opening adventure.

You guys have a good
life. This is a great.

Experience new people,
new places, new things.

I've learned things.

And I love doing
it on a motorcycle.

It's like a good break
from the normal grind,

So it's been a real gift.

Hopefully we'll
be back at it soon.

Dude, this is it.

Yeah, I could do this for days.

Yeah.

Are we done yet?

What time is it, midnight?
