- Previously, on "Escape the Night"...

unscripted, unrehearsed,

nine guests travel across time to a Victorian ball.

- Whoa! - We found part of a map!

- But soon discover all is not right,

if they want to find their way back home.

[overlapping yelling]

- They must first k*ll the king of vampires.

- Are we stabbing someone? - Are you into murdering?

- Let's go for it.

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

- The only way past your guard

is to impale him in the heart.

I'm ready to get my vengeance.

- Be careful.

- Hey! - [hisses]

- [gasps] You did it!

- Uhh--uh!

- Damn, girl!

- Still don't trust me?

- Jesse! - Yeah.

- DeStorm, come here. I need your help.

We gotta get him outta here.

- Alison proved herself

when she took out another vampire.

She k*lled him right in front of us.

- Men, do that. - Got him?

- Honey, we need to get you a makeup wipe.

- Don't go too far. Stay close to me.

- Wait. What about everybody else?

- Let's go find them. Come on.

- Okay.

[dramatic musical sting]

- How did you get out? - Hi, hi, hi.

- Oh, my gosh! - What happened? Hi!

- Oh, my God! You're okay! Hello!

- Here, let me help.

- Joey and Liza untie Andrea and I from the poles,

and we are free!

- Joey just k*lled a vampire! - I just k*lled a--

both: You k*lled a vampire? - Yeah.

- Yes! - What do we do now?

- Still wondering where Alex is.

He's supposed to be my knight in shining armor,

but he is nowhere to be found.

- This is called a fireman's carry.

I learned this one in the m*llitary.

- The only Carey I know is Mariah.

- I think she also meant

that she's being held here. - Who is this "she"?

- Alision. - His daughter.

- I already don't trust her.

- Really? - If you saw what

the vampires did to me,

you would not ever trust the vampires.

- They were eating him. - Who has the salt?

- I have the salt. - Okay, good.

We're dwindling in number. - Guys!

Both: Joey! - Liza!

[overlapping greetings]

- When Joey, Andrea, Liza, and Lauren return,

my focus is on Lauren. My girlfriend is back,

and I'm not letting her get taken again.

- Joey, where have you been?

I'm like...Joey Graceffa.

Why? Of all people, why'd you invite me?

I am--Like, I don't wanna be here!

- I don't know why you guys are here.

- You invited us! - I swear, I did not invite

you guys here. This was not supposed to happen.

It's Alison--Stay away. - No, she's here for us.

- I told you my father was lying to you.

This isn't his estate.

The owner is a sorceress.

If she has eyes on you,

your days in this world are numbered.

- Wait, is she here?

- Apparently, an evil sorceress

is now living in the Victoria era,

and she basically summoned us all.

- The only way home is in the carriage that you came.

It's this way. - No, I don't know

if I trust her right now. - Alex let Lauren get taken.

- What? - I would break up

if I was you. - Hey, we got her back.

That's all that matters!

- Let's get the eff outta here.

[suspenseful music]

- Where's the carriage? - Where's the carriage?

- I'm sorry. It looks like you're stuck here.

- What? - Are you kidding me?

- When we see that the carriage that brought us here is gone,

my heart sinks, 'cause I'm like, okay,

well, we need to get out of here.

- Aliright, listen up, Alison.

You're gonna find us another way outta here, you hear me?

- Calm down. - Don't tell me to calm down!

- Maybe this can help us get out of here.

- Where did you get that? - We found it downstairs.

- Yeah, we found it in the place.

- There are only rumors that this even existed.

both: What is it? - I don't know.

It's just a journal. - What is it?

- Found it. - It's not safe out here.

Come with me.

- So the carriage is gone,

and...I still don't really know

if Alison is completely trustworthy.

- I don't like her. I don't trust her.

- Wow. - This is beautiful.

- I mean, I would be able to take it in

if there weren't vampires.

- There's this painting over the fireplace, and guess who.

- That's the lady that she was talking about.

- That's the sorceress who owns the estate.

- Turns out the house is owned by this evil sorceress

with a very deep V-cut.

- I think the sorceress is fine.

Like, no wonder she's the sorceress--

she's got it goin' on.

- There's a crown that's rumored

to be the tool to take her down.

This journal... tells us how to get it.

- How do we unlock it?

- It looks like it needs a key. - Yeah.

- I'm looking at this little mini-bible lookin' book,

and I'm like...

Wait a minute-- I got a key on my watch.

I have a key on my watch.

- That seems suspicious! Why do you have a key,

first of all? - Come on, come on.

Pass me the book. - Pass me the watch.

[all gasp]

- Liza doesn't wanna give up the journal to him,

because, like, okay, yeah, super shady,

why do you have the key already on your person?

And he doesn't wanna give the key up to Liza.

- How 'bout y'all pass it both to me?

So I pull my g*n out and say, "Both of y'all give me both,"

and they were willing to, but then I didn't want

the responsibility, so I said, "Never mind."

- Come on, come on. - I don't like that.

- Oh, my gosh, you just threw the sorcerer.

- I just have to say, if this key works, does that--

- It worked? - Where did you get

the watch from? - Why does he have the key

and the watch? - The team is suspicious of me,

and I don't care. I'm not here for them.

I came for the party.

- Okay, read it, read it, read it.

- Said that "If you seek the Crown of Oblivion,

"be prepared for the death to follow.

"The sorceress was once a peasant girl

"who made a deal with a cursed god for power.

"She m*rder*d the keeper of this estate

"and trapped it in time so she might live forever.

"She has been gathering an army

"in preparation for a spell that will open a portal

"to the modern world

"and make her empress over all time.

The spell requires the evil Joey..."

all: Joey?! - Okay...

- It does not say that! He's lying.

- What? Wait, I just saw your name.

- So let's not point fingers-- - "The spell requires

the evil Joey carried..." - Okay. I'm just making sure.

- Okay, that's misleading.

- Were you trying to frame Joey?

- Joey's name is randomly in the book,

so we don't really know if he's hiding something

or what's happening with the journal.

Okay, read the rest. - "The spell requires

"the evil Joey carried with him

"and nine innocent lives from the modern day.

"There are eight gems of power kept by the lieutenants.

"If they can be gathered and placed in the map,

"the Crown will be revealed.

"The wearer of the Crown

"will have the power to stop her spell and return home.

"However, obtaining a gem will require

"unraveling dark mysteries

"and voting on two who must undertake a terrible challenge

"that will end in death.

"Time is short--by morning, her spell will be complete,

and there will be no future to return to."

- Someone has to die for this.

- Someone has to die for a gem.

- The journal basically says

we need to find eight gems and place them in the map.

- In order to get a gem,

somebody has to die each time.

That's cool. Ain't gonna be me.

- My father wears a gem around his necklace.

I've seen it before. Now, if we find the sun stone,

we have everything we need to destroy him.

- I...have...the map.

- This is only half the map. We don't know

where the other half is. - That's true.

- The logical thing to do here is to look at the map,

find the rest of it, and go from there.

- Is there anything we can do with what we have

on the map so far? It looks like there's figures

of people on there. We notice on the clue

that there are two obelisks and two hands,

so we figure maybe we should try holding them?

- I lived in D.C. before. I know what a obelisk is.

Put those two things together. Grab the two--

Grab the obelisk.

- One person holds both of 'em in each hand.

- And see what happens. - These are really heavy.

- So hoping the lights were gonna flicker or something.

I was scanning the whole area.

I realized that the table was lighting up.

Yo, come here. - Oh, look, look, look!

- Here's the other half of the map right here.

- It lit up! - Here's the other half.

We had the second part of the map that we needed.

That's it! - Touch 'em again.

- Touch 'em together. Touch 'em together.

- What does it say? - "Stand in high places

to see the shape of the sun stone's eye."

- This is heavy, guys, I gotta put this down.

Can someone take it over? - Wait, Joey, Joey,

touch 'em back together! - Hold them, hold them!

- Arghh! - You have to put them together.

- Guys, I have an idea. We have this paper...

We can make, like, a sketch of it.

We realized that the parchment paper and the quill

are a way to trace the other side of the map.

- Here's what's gonna happen. Each of us, I think,

has to take one spot... - Yeah.

- In this order. - You count us off.

- Okay, one... - Which room is this?

- Two, three... - All right, but--

- Four, five... - Five.

- Six, seven, eight,

nine, ten?

- Okay, memorize your spots. - Let's go over there.

[suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

- There's a vampire, there's a vampire, there's a vampire!

- Shh, shh, shh.

♪ ♪

- It's safe. She's gone.

- Where did she go? - Tyler, quick.

Before she gets back. - Yeah, they're gonna come back.

- So we need ten people and ten spots. Okay.

- I'm what? - One. Here.

- So I'm all the way at the top? - You're all the way at the top.

You're five, seven, three,

eight over here.

So we position ourselves based on the numbers

on the map, and Andrea takes the upstairs.

There's a path, but do you think we need to take something

on that path? - Wait--What?

- We need to move...in order. - What do you mean,

move in order? - Okay, the lines--

Do we just follow-- Everybody rotates?

- No. - Nothing is happening,

so, clearly we are doing it wrong.

- Can I look too? - Should we just try it?

- There's ten spots and ten of us.

I feel like this is right. - We're in the spots.

Can you see anything? - Wait, you guys, you guys!

There's a rope.

- Rope? - Oh!

- We have to hold the rope.

- We realize the rope is the dotted lines.

My...God!

Just hand it...the direction that it was supposed to go.

Just go to your spots. - Just go to your spots.

- Just go to your spots. - I think Tyler's a good leader

but sometimes goes about it a little aggressively

like when we were doing the rope...got a little aggressive.

- Everyone knows their number. both: Yes.

- So who's one? - One.

- How many YouTubers does it take

to make a puzzle out of some damn rope?

- And you have your end?

- We're all connected.

- Yes! - Aah!

- So once we finally get in the right position,

a chest opens and reveals a stone.

- So we have the sun stone, we have the stake,

and we have the salt. - Now we have to figure out

how to k*ll the king. - We just need him.

- So...how do we do this?

- Every full moon, my father gives a vampire

the opportunity to dine with him alone.

If the vampire answers the riddle that he asks correctly,

they get his honor.

But, if they answer incorrectly,

the vampire's drained of all their blood.

Being his daughter, I have the privilege

of knowing the answer.

Who would like to go in? - I can't.

That's too much pressure. - Do it for the team.

- I'll do it. I'm good at riddles.

- Are you sure you don't wanna do it, Lauren?

- No, no, no. Not my Lauren.

- I feel like Joey put me in a really weird spot because

I didn't wanna do it because I wasn't confident enough,

but then it kind of makes it look like

I just don't wanna be a team player.

- I don't think Lauren's pulling her weight.

I think she's honestly terrified,

and we don't have time for that.

Okay, Andrea it is. - So the answer to the riddle

will be history. We have one problem:

We have to get the human scent off you.

- Alison says in order to get the human scent off me,

I need to take two big gulps of the vampire's blood.

- Drink it, drink it, drink it!

- Girl, you signed up for this. - Oh, my God, for real?

[overlapping chatter] - Yes, go.

- Drink it! - You need to swallow it!

- Go, Andrea, go!

I'm so turned on right now.

- That's gross!

- One more. - Suck it, girl.

You suck it, girl. - That is a nasty hickey

you leavin'. - I'm so sorry.

- One more thing. - Oh, my God, that is scarring.

- You have to put on this mask so they don't recognize you.

- She's a G. - Oh, God.

- Honestly, that was a big moment.

That says a lot about...her. - Thank you, Andrea.

[tense music]

- Alex. You'll need to shine the sun stone from right here.

- All right, so to k*ll Dorian, we need to put a circle of salt,

lure him into the middle of the circle...

- Gabbie and Liza volunteer to make a circle with salt.

- Good luck.

- Alex has the sun stone. He's gonna shine it on Dorian.

- And Joey's gonna hit him in the chest with a stake.

- You got this. You got this.

You smell like a vampire. You look great.

- Walk confidently and pray nothing goes wrong.

[suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

[overlapping moaning]

[dark, edgy music]

♪ ♪

- Hey...

Hey, hey, hey. - Hey.

- I know you.

You look ravishing tonight!

[inhales] Mmm... are you here with anyone?

- No. Not at all.

- Will you dance with me? - Yeah.

- Your skin is so soft.

- [whispers] Make a circle.

- Yes. - Get comfortable.

- [groans]

Although our hearts are heavy with this evening's betrayals,

we will not abandon traditions.

It is a full moon.

Time to see who will win the king's favor.

- You're good. - That's good. Go! Go!

- Don't run out.

- I can be... created in the present.

You may always find me in the past.

But the future can never make me.

What am I?

- I kinda wait a second

to see if anyone else will know the answer.

♪ ♪

- Yes.

- History?

- Hmm...

- So he comes down the stairs

towards me... - Well...

So quick to answer.

- I'm like, is he gonna bite my neck open?

Is this the end of my life? Did Alison screw me over?

- I hope he doesn't see the salt ring.

- Guys, there's an actual orgy going on in there.

- What? - Yes.

- That...is correct!

You have won the king's favor for the evening.

Please...join me in my private quarters

where we can discuss more...

serious matters.

- They're coming, they're coming!

Get ready, get ready! - Quick!

- We're walking out together.

I see the circle of salt out the window.

Everything is going fine and dandy.

He's kinda taking in the moonlight.

I'm slowly trying to step away from him.

- What a lovely evening.

- [whispering] Shh, shh, shh. Now! Now!

- What is this? - Sun stone!

[dramatic music]

- Go, Joey! - Go, Joey, go!

- Joey just came outta nowhere

like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and stabbed him in the chest.

- I'm a vampire slayer!

- Get the necklace!

- Get the necklace! - Get it!

[indistinct shouting, whooping]

- Oh, my God! - Hey, watch your back!

- Aah! - Oh, my God!

- Okay, okay, all right, who is that?

- Where do you think you're going?

- Who is you? - Call the others.

- Um...um...

- Guys, we have a problem!

[all screaming]

- Oh, no! - No, no, no, no!

[dramatic music]

[vampires snarling]

- Guys, stay behind me. I have the stick.

- I don't know who any of you are,

and frankly, I don't care.

k*ll them all!

- No! No!

Wait! Mother, these are my friends.

- I'm sure your friends are going to taste delicious.

- I thought we were all gonna die.

I thought, "This is the end."

- No. Father was k*lled in the proper way.

I demand you honor Vampire law--

a life for a life. - My God,

but you're stubborn!

Very well then! A life for a life.

Which one of your friends

are you going to send to their death?

- We'll vote privately on two

that will run the race for the golden goblet.

The winner will survive,

and the loser will be the life you take.

- If a life for a life is the law of the vampire,

I'm okay with that, because that's the law of the streets.

- This is gonna cause so much stress and friction

within the group, because we're literally

voting for each other to die.

- Let me just say, first off, he got the key,

never explained it. The key opened up a notebook--

- And he tried to pin it on Joey!

- 'Scuse me. The key is what helped us get that gem.

- But how did you get it? - Yeah.

It's shady that you had the key, and we wouldn't have needed it

had we not been here in the first place.

- Your name was on the invitation,

and we wouldn't be in this situation

if it weren't for you. - Let me invite you to my party,

then all of a sudden, let me chain myself up

and be all kinky and stuff. No. That's not me.

- It's me. - I'm sweet. I'm a sweet boy.

I was chained up and a prisoner.

Why would I do that to myself?

- Let's talk. both: Who hasn't done anything?

- Lauren has to go. - She's right there!

- We've all risked something. - Hi!

- So you'd like to k*ll me off?

- I don't wanna k*ll anybody, Lauren.

- We just think that you should fight for...

your life. That's it.

I really feel like Lauren is the weakest in the group right now.

- Let's leave this group. They're obviously against you.

- I believe in you. I think you have a good heart.

- This is getting out of control!

- I think I'm being victimized. I've been cooperative.

And I haven't done anything wrong,

whereas DeStorm has had so many shady things

happen to him, and I'm somehow put on the same level--

- You didn't do anything wrong, but you didn't do anything right

and you had an opportunity to step up

and help the team, and you backed out.

- I didn't think I would be strong enough for the challenge

and have someone on our team k*lled.

- Oh! - We didn't know

what we were getting into.

- She gave us the answer. - Then why did you volunteer?

- I did the salt. - You did some good salting.

Good salting. - Thank you.

- Everyone is pointing fingers. I came here to party,

and this has turned into, like, a legitimate horror movie

where people are getting k*lled.

- Okay, okay, last thing. If you're gonna vote Lauren,

please vote for me instead, 'cause I'd rather

do the challenge than let her go through it.

- Okay, I say we-- Let's just vote.

- Voting is simple. One by one,

you'll pick the card for the person

you'd like to vote into the challenge.

I'll then shuffle and draw two.

The two names that are drawn

will go down to find the golden goblet.

- I voted for Lauren. She didn't do anything.

She didn't contribute to the squad.

- I voted for DeStorm. Everything he does

I'm still a little iffy on.

- I voted for Alex

because I was gonna vote for Lauren,

and he was like, "No, if you're gonna vote for Lauren,

vote for me instead."

- Everyone has cast their vote?

- Alison shuffles the cards,

and I feel like my odds are pretty high

because Joey really, really bad-talked me to everybody.

[suspenseful music]

- Lauren.

- [sighs]

♪ ♪

- DeStorm. - Okay.

- If you two would follow me. Everyone else can stay.

- It came down to me and Lauren. I was shocked.

I thought the team knew that they needed me.

[edgy music]

So I walk into the ballroom,

and I see all these damn vampires standing there

staring at me like I'm their next meal.

Like they don't have Postmates.

- Each one of you must unravel three clues

to find the location of the golden goblet.

Take your starting place.

And don't take too long!

Otherwise, we'll have to k*ll you both.

And wouldn't that be a shame?

Begin!

- "In the center of three celestial points,

silver waits."

- Three celestial points.

One...

two...

I'm looking for three stars,

and it's taking me forever to find the third one.

[whooshing]

- He got a star on his chest.

I don't see no damn silver, though.

- [hisses]

- You have a star.

[gasps] Oh! - You got something?

- [screams]

- You know, now that I'm really thinking about it,

maybe Lauren's intention of not doing the challenge

was because she didn't know if she was physically able to.

- Honestly, at the end of the day,

Lauren's not, like, sketchy.

She's not treating-- Like talking down to us.

- This woulda been a good conversation to have earlier.

- Hell, no! Oh, I was afraid...

but I'm not screaming. - I honestly don't know

if I can do the snakes. I hate snakes.

I don't mess with snakes.

- Ohh....all right, I got some silver.

It's a letter.

"I d*ed in battle

"and need to pay the ferryman

"to carry me to my eternal rest.

"Can you please find my coffin

which is marked... by the sign of my faith."

Sign of my faith. Okay, here's a cross.

- Okay, I got one.

Okay. - All right, I found

the damn coffin. - Okay.

I grab the silver coin, and I'm following DeStorm's lead

over to the next step.

Is there a lock? What does this mean?

- I gotta pick out the combination for this lock.

What? So now, okay, now I gotta figure out

this daggone equation.

- Okay. I've got 3 times 5 is 15...

minus 6 equals 9.

- How did they get this?

Okay, so 6 times 4 is 24.

24 minus 10 make 14.

Got it. 5 times 7 is 35, minus 5 is 30.

5 times 7. So that's 7...

- 7 times 2 is 14, minus 8 is 6.

This is 2. - 5 times...what will make--

- DeStorm, I can't think! - I'm trying to figure mine out!

So 2 times 9 is 18.

18 minus what equals 4?

14. Took a little while,

but I said I'ma b*at this girl.

I solve the math problems, and I get the combination open.

Holy sh*t! - [gasps]

I gotta pay this mother.

So then I feed this guy in his eyeballs.

Yep. I fed him the coins in his eyeballs,

gave him the silver, and then one of the vampires

rewarded me with the third clue.

"Take my sword and slay the dragon who took my life."

A dragon. Y-you think I'm making this up?

It was a damn dragon in the ballroom.

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

If y'all come over here, I'ma slay your asses too!

Ahh! I slayed the dragon,

and a drawer popped open under the dragon.

I can't make this up.

"The golden goblet is beside the queen's throne.

Present this to her."

It said that the queen had the golden goblet.

- [hisses] Chill, bro!

So I give the letter to the queen.

She goes into her little chest.

'Cause I'm not dying. I'm gonna get the golden goblet.

And it's gold? Pssh. Add that to my collection.

I'm sorry, girl, but I got this golden goblet.

- I just, like my brain cannot process the fact

that I was here for a dinner party

and ended up about to be eaten by vampires.

- I ain't dying today. - Right. Now that we've

got that finally over and done with,

can we please k*ll the other one?

[all screaming]

- Aah!

- Yeah, k*ll her. k*ll her!

[overlapping screaming]

Hey, hey, hey, hey!

[screaming, greedy sounds continue]

- Oh, my God. - Oh...

- No! - Is Lauren dead?

- I tried to help her as much as I could.

- DeStorm walks in...

Lauren d*ed.

Alex is single.

- What is that for? Why do you have that?

- I have no idea. - What happened to Lauren?

- All of the damn vampires att*cked her,

and I couldn't save her,

so that's when we dipped up outta there real quick.

- All I heard was you k*lled Lauren.

- I didn't k*ll her. What do you mean?

- It's your fault! You did this!

- I honestly regret it.

I feel like I made a mistake.

- Alex started crying.

Little baby tear-- "Oh, my Lauren."

- If we wanna get outta this,

we have to work together.

- I'm not working with anybody!

At this point, I have no friends.

It's me against everyone,

and I'm taking them all out, starting with DeStorm.

- Don't look at me. I told you not to pick me.

- Stop being so defensive!

- What are gonna do next? - We have to find

seven more of those in exchange for seven lives.

- That's the only way? - I'm in.

- Okay. - There's something

I need to show you. - Every single moment,

Alison has got something new to show us.

I'm like, if you know these things, tell us these things.

- What is that? - What is that?

- This...is the gem map.

In each of these places... - [gasps] Oh, my God!

- Belongs a gem. Each token represents

one of the lieutenants that holds one of the gems.

- In order to find the Crown of Oblivion,

we have to find these eight gems.

Should I put it in? - Put it in.

- Careful, Joey.

- We don't know what this does.

[whooshing] - Oh...

[commotion]

[intense musical buildup]
