We were supposed to be
celebrating a new owner.


It would've been nice
to have a hot owner, but...

She was outbid.

APRIL: We were all excited about having

a longtime Fugitive fan buy the team,

even if that fan was
not your typical investor type.

Crew of a bunch of, you know,
a bunch of single guys.

Yeah, lot of single guys.

APRIL: With her, we'd be
making our own decisions,

but that's not how it played out.

Uh, we got a call.

Blue Wing Capital came back
with a higher offer

that Julie, as a solo investor,
couldn't match.

Look at this, she sent us hot sauce.

She sent us Patrón.
Like, she f*cking got us.

You know what Blue Wing Capital got us?

Uh, they-they made a donation
on our behalf

to a children's hospital.

We're f*cked.

- It might not be that bad.

The only reason Blue Wing outbid her

is because they wanted him.

of the organization.

but he has a terrible personality

CAPTAINFLOWERS: It's playoffs, baby!

We are ready to go,
and things are in full swing

here for our first match.

GABRIELLA: The playoffs are different.

Teams are tested
in these best-of-five series.

So, while Fugitive had a strong

summer split, you know,
third best record overall,

I think a lot of us still question

how this team would hold up
against postseason competition.

CAPTAINFLOWERS: We kick off here
with fourth seed Fugitive

going up against fifth seed,

- Dignitas.

It's gonna be a good match today.

I'm really curious.

Can Creamcheese and Organizm
get together on the same page?

APRIL: Going into playoffs,

nobody would say that Organizm
and Creamcheese were friends,

but at least there was some respect.

Cream respected Organizm's
mechanical skill.

Organizm respected Cream's
map awareness and sh*t calling.

When it came to the Dignitas matchup

all the attention was on Organizm,

not only because it was
his first playoff series,

but because he was up against
the guy he replaced in Frugger.

was trying to get at Org,

but nobody could get past Creamcheese.

It was kind of amazing to see,
to be honest.




It was a great series for Fugitive,

but it was really more than that.

That's what I'm talking about.
Just move as a team.

This was the first time
we had seen real synergy

between their bot lane.

They were finally starting
to play to their ceiling.

CREAMCHEESE: A lot of players,
when they were younger,

like, in high school,

they spent all their free time
playing video games.

They don't get attention from
girls until they're pro players,

and then it all comes at them at once.

I was not like that. Like...

I had Morgan.

MORGAN: I think we were
kind of drawn to each other

'cause we were both,
like, a little awkward.

I mean, obviously, him doing, like,

the video game thing and I was, like,

a theater tech stage manager geek?

And, I don't know, there was,

of the cafeteria where

we started hanging out.

our relationship as playful.

Then the very next day, at lunch,

he gave me a Toblerone.

loved them, so I was like,

"To show my love, I'm gonna get
this girl a Toblerone

every single day."

And then, he-he kept
bringing Toblerones...

And it just became like,

"Wha... Do you expect me to eat,
like, a Toblerone a day?"

Turns out, Toblerones
are not the cheapest candy.

That's, like, $ . per bar, so...

which it's about $ a month
is what I was set back.

I didn't care, though.

It was, like... a metaphor.

For how I felt about her.

MORGAN: It was fun,

but I was planning on going to college,

and Trevor was just in a different spot.

CREAMCHEESE: I kind of decided I
was gonna pursue this pro path,

and frankly, at the time,

Morgan kind of saw gaming
the same way my parents did,

and so I was like, "All right," like,

"I guess that's the end of that."

It sucked.

But as they say, if you love something,

And it will always come back to you.

And that's exactly
what happened with her.

Five years later.

ENDER: I mean, Fugitive Gaming
is absolutely dominating

right now, a-and I got to be honest,

I think the biggest reason
why is Creamcheese.

KYLE: was the year of Creamcheese.

Good f*cking job.

APRIL: It was pretty much
the height
of Fugitive Gaming.


APRIL: The team was on f*re,
just annihilating everyone

and making our way to the finals.

Sorry, LCS, we're not going anywhere.

MORGAN: I had just graduated
and got this gig

as a brand ambassador at a
gaming expo called PAX West.

And that's when I learned
that he and Kyle had started

their own team and it was
worth over a million dollars.

This might have been

when I come out onto the stage.

It feels like I'm living the dream.
