[man 1] I'm no good at it.

[man 2] You're not patient.
That's different.

Perhaps your gifts
weren't passed on to me.

- [laughs]
- [man 1] It's true.

w*r rages all around us,

and all I can contribute
is stacking weapons

made and wielded by better men.

So what purpose do I serve in this world?

You will find your calling, my son.

Now, back to it.

[grunting]

[sighs]

[men speaking indistinctly]

[horse neighing]

[footsteps approaching]

[dog barking]

[Captain speaking indistinctly]

- [man] Father, there's...
- I know!

I need you to sneak out and run into town.
Alert Captain Crais and his...

- There's too many of them. You need...
- Do as I say! Go!

Peter! What is it?

[Peter] King's soldiers.
Hide in Miranda's room.

Do not come out no matter what.

[panting]

Open up!

What do you want?

Well, good evening.

You must be Peter Locke.

And you are?

Captain Frederick Gideon
of the Crown's 23rd Infantry.

[chuckles]

Rumor has it

that you're manufacturing colonial weapons

and stockpiling t*rror1st armaments
on your property.

We thought we'd come
and have a look around.

Rumors are ugly things, Captain.

My family's asleep.

So I'm going to ask you to leave. [grunts]

Shame on you for your bad manners,
not even inviting me in for a cup of tea!

[grunts]

Did you not hear
that I'm an officer of your king?

[choking]

[redcoat] You heard him. Let's go.

You two, with me.

We're looking for weapons!

- [shouting indistinctly]
- [groaning]

- [panting]
- [woman screaming]

Oh God! [sobbing]

Look what we found
along with eight barrels of gunpowder

and stolen British g*ns in the attic.

You and the men help yourselves
to their belongings.

- [Peter] No!
- [Captain] We'll load it in the wagons.

[Peter] No!

Leave it to one of His Majesty's officers
to steal what's not rightfully his!

[groans]

- Oh, Peter!
- I take care of my men.

- [groans]
- [women scream]

Peter!

And my men take care of me.

[groaning]

[lively instrumental music playing]

Anyone get any rest?

[smacking lips] Yeah.

Me either.

Why doesn't Gabe come after us?

'Cause he's probably gonna
build an army first, turn more people.

We need to warn our friends.

All the Savinis,
anyone who knows about the keys,

before they get turned.

Maybe they can help us
get the key away from him.

If Gabe's out there making more demons,
we can't just go over there unprotected.

- I'll wear the Hercules belt.
- I can take the Matchstick Key.

What about me?

- You're going to school.
- [Bode] What?

Are you kidding me? No way.

Look, we're gonna be armed,
and there isn't another key for you.

- Your school is safest. He won't go there.
- What about Mom?

I'll watch out for her.

- I can't just sit in class!
- Yeah, you can.

- Why can't I come?
- We said no. Stop pushing.

- It's not fair!
- Hey! What's going on?

Oh, just a little spirited
morning conversation.

We're gonna be late. Coming, Kins?

Yeah, just let me grab my stuff.

Okay.

What was that all about?

Normal teenage stuff.
It's nothing to worry about.

Hey, don't blow me off here, Duncan.

[sighs] Kinsey's having problems
with Gabe.

Bode's upset because he and Gabe are buds,

so Tyler and I,
just running some interference.

Well, is she okay?

I think so. She didn't get too specific.

Teenagers don't like talking to adults
about this kind of stuff.

No, but they do wanna
talk to you about it.

I'm the "funcle." What can I tell you?

It's fine, Nina.

Please don't worry.

Look, I'm waiting
on some parts for the GTO.

I've got nothing to do.

Maybe I can help.

Need an intern at the theater today?

Sure. I mean, if you really want to.

[munching]

I guess I missed the invite to brunch.

Luckily, your new errand boy drives a car
that you can see from space. [scoffs]

What are you doing here, Eden?

I'm willing to forgive and forget the fact
that you abandoned me at Keyhouse,

seeing as we are partners.

- We're nothing.
- [Eden] Are you serious?

You only have that key
because I helped you.

It's basically half mine.

[inhales deeply] I disagree.

And so do they.

[laughs]

This is your army?

You could have turned
half this town by now.

I'm not gonna waste this gift
on just anyone.

- [scoffs]
- See all these demons?

They're all helpful,
compliant, and obedient.

Whereas you, Eden,

you're insignificant to me.

[Eden] Fine.

You do your thing, and I'll do my thing.

And I'll be sure to tell Kinsey
that you say "hi"

right before I snap her neck.

[chuckles]

You might wanna think twice
