02x16 - Would You Wrather Have Your Mom Bust You Out?

Post by bunniefuu »

Hey, Wratherheads. Sorry for the bad news,

but Fred won't be able to make
today's "Would You Wrather?"

He's at his powerlifting tournament.

So if you're anywhere
near the convention center,

stop by and wish him luck.

Squat your way to gold, Freddie.

But in his absence,
we have two surprise guests.

(sighs) Is anyone else seeing spots?

So, the deal was, if Ollie and I
b*at Mom and Charlotte

in a family game of two-on-two,

they have to do
whatever you guys vote for.

And this just in, we smoked 'em.

Ollie is three feet tall.
How did he block all your sh*ts?

He came out of nowhere.

I told you not to bring
that weak stuff into my house.

So, today's question is,
Would you rather have

Charlotte go to school
dressed as a scarecrow?

-(crows cawing)
-Are those real crows?

Shh. They can smell fear.

Or have Mom go to work as the Tin Man?

Boring!

You guys want to see Charlotte get pecked
by wild birds, right?

This is my work. Love you!

And the votes are in!

-(computer chiming)
-Aw, this is gonna be good!

With a deal this good,
I must have a heart!

(theme music playing)

Would you rather lose your phone

Or give up pizza for a month?

Share your diary with the world

Or have to eat it for your lunch?

Sing out of tune to your friends

Or trip and fall into your crush?

Shave your head, paint it red

Or use your dog's toothbrush?

We need a little Q and A

Come on, Wratherheads, play along

Would you rather do this?

Would you rather do this?

Would you rather do that?

Would you rather do that?

Don't matter what we do

We're doing it with you

I'd rather do that

Ask the world!

Would you rather do this?

Would you rather do this?

Or would you rather just dance?

Or would you rather just dance?

No matter what we do

We're doing it with you

I'd rather do that

Ask the world!

Would you rather do that?

Cooper. Are you OK?

(sighs) Charlotte made the Glamtronics
go on a five-mile sing-and-run.

Do you know how hard it is
to hit a high note running uphill?

You know I don't.

But I do have something
that'll cheer you up.

Two tickets for you and me
to see the monster truck rally...

(imitating announcer)
this Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!

Are you serious? I love monster trucks.

They're finally coming to North Plains?

And we're in the crush zone?

We'll be so close, bumpers from
smashed cars might hit us in the face!

-I sure hope so.
-Me too!

(bell rings)

Hey, Jenna. Cami, you're late.

This is the third time this semester.

Yeah, I know, but the other two times
were my fault. This time, it wasn't.

It's true. This one's on me.

I had to drop off paperwork at a client's
and the conversation ran long.

But we're good. Right, cuddle bear?

Mrs. Wrather, because Cami was late
for the third time,

she has Saturday detention.

What? My dance competition is on Saturday.

I'm sorry, rules are rules.

Wrong class.

How ya doin', Dinky's?

Oh, you're in a good mood.

Is it because you took second place
at that weight lifting tournament?

Oh, did you hear about that?

Well, yeah. You rented
that billboard on the highway.

Yeah. It's kind of a big deal.

But what's really got me feeling good
is I talked to Neve at school today.

It was the first time we spoke
since she broke up with me,

and it was amazing.

Oh, really? What'd you guys talk about?

Neve said,
"I think they painted the lockers."

And I said, "Yes. I think so." (squeals)

Wow. Sounds magical.

Oh. Looks like someone wants
more locker chat with the Fredster.

What is happening?

-Now, Fred, don't worry--
-Charlotte,

may I borrow your disgusting table rag?

(muffled screaming)

Thank you.

You keep it.

Cuddle bunny, this meat loaf is delicious.

Meat loaf! That's it.
I knew it was some kind of food.

Ollie, don't be rude. Mom worked hard
making us this meatloaf and...

I wanna say squash?

-Anyone mind if I have the last piece?
-Uh, sorry! All out.

Oh, looks like you were late.

And as we all know,
nothing can be done about that.

So, Principal Walker,
Sunday's monster truck rally, huh?

It's gonna be epic.

Question. Are the trucks
made from monsters?

Or are the monsters driving the trucks?

Neither. And I'm kind of scared that
you thought it was one of those.

-I'm taking you next time, big man.
-(laughs)

Carrots, these are carrots.

Excuse me, are we going to talk
about the elephant in the room?

-Question!
-There's not a real elephant, Ollie.

I was talking about Lancely
giving Cami Saturday detention,

because I dropped her off late.

Yeah, and now I'm gonna miss
my dance competition,

which means my whole team will be
disqualified for not having enough people.

Who here thinks
Principal Walker is being unfair?

Uh, how good are these potatoes?
(chuckles)

Cami, I have explained this.

I can't give you a special exception
just because your mother and I are dating.

I'm glad at least Cooper supports me.

I support these potatoes.

Lancely, this has nothing
to do with us dating.

Cami didn't do anything wrong.

I'm sorry, this isn't easy for me,
but case is closed.

All right.

Well, then, so is my kitchen.

So now I'm being punished?

I can't believe
Neve found a new guy already.

I mean, why would she want
that chicken nugget

when she could still be
feasting on a Filet-O-Fred?

Relax. You saw them one time.
You don't even know if they're together.

OK, that's just bad timing.

Whoa. This rando is carrying
Neve's backpack?

That was my move.

Until I threw my back out. (grunts)

I'm going over to find out
what this is all about.

No, no, no. Fred, you can't do that.

You're absolutely right. You should do it.
Thank you, Charlotte.

What? No, I'm not doing it, either.

Please? Just try to find out
who this guy is and why Neve likes him.

I need to figure out what I'm up against.

I don't know. I'm... I'm really busy.

Come on. If I'm ever gonna
win Neve back, I need help.

And who better than you?
You're like my big sister.

Fine. I'll ask a couple questions
when I get a minute.

Thank you. But Neve can't know
what we're up to.

Also, I'm gonna hide behind the counter
while you get the deets.

Also, I'm gonna order a cheeseburger
when you get back.

Also, don't go crazy with the mayo,
just a simple dab is plenty.

Saturday detention's tough,

but take it from someone
who's been on the inside.

You want to send a message.

Find the biggest kid in your class
and give him your pudding.

Aw, yeah.

Why are you packing your dance stuff?

'Cause I'm gonna go to my competition,
and help my team win.

How are you gonna pull all that off?

Easy. You're going to help me.

Forget it. Walker could take away
my one chance to see the monster trucks...

(imitating announcer) on Sunday!
Sunday! Sunday!

Cooper, what's more important?

Helping your sister, or going to see
giant trucks roll over cars?

I know what I'm supposed to say.

(sneezes) Giant trucks.

Cooper, I don't wanna tell you what to do.

-Thank you.
-So let's have the Wratherheads do it.

Aw, man. They always pick the right thing.

Hey, Wratherheads.

So, I need some advice.

I have front-row tickets
to an epic monster truck event

that I've never been to before.

But his loyal sister
really needs his help.

And if he does,
there is a teeny-tiny chance

he could miss out on going to that event.

So what's it gonna be? Sister or trucks?

You know I can see you, right?

-I do now.
-(phone chiming)

The vote wasn't even close.

Nope. Now, let's go
break me out of detention.

Cameron Wrather!

I am very disappointed in you.

You're never gonna pull this off
without a getaway driver.

So you're really gonna help me
sneak out of detention?

When you're done with Cami,
can we go egg my teacher's house?

I would normally never condone this,

but I feel horrible
for getting you in trouble.

And I'd feel even worse
if you missed your dance competition.

This is so awesome.

Yeah, and you don't need my help now.

Oh, you're in, Slim. This is a family job.
Wrathers stick together.

I'm in too. I've always been
anti-establishment.

But what if we get caught?

No one is getting caught.
I've been working on this plan all night.

I love you so much right now.

OK, listen up.
Kramsky runs Saturday detention,

and he's deathly afraid of mice.

That looks like a dog.

It's a mouse.

Which Cooper will release into detention,
sending Kramsky running.

Why is the dog pooping?

That's a mouse's tail!

When the coast is clear,
Cami exits, Ollie collects the mouse,

we meet at the car,
drive to the competition,

Cami's teams wins,
then we sneak her back into detention.

Boom! Wrathers, one, the man, zero.

-Question!
-It's not a dog!

So, Cami, the plan is
we will meet you at the car.

Got it.

What's that on your face?

It's my disguise.

You look ridiculous.

Let's not throw stones.
I've seen you draw in chest hair.

I knew it!

I only do it during pool season.

Hey, guys.

-Jenna.
-Uh, we were just dropping off Cami.

Yep. Uh, off... drop... Cami.

Principal Walker, why are you here?

Oh, I'm filling in for Mr. Kramsky.

His twin brother stole his unicycle.
It's a whole thing.

Looking good, Ollie.

Feeling good, my man.

(mouse squeaking)

Cute mouse.

(squeaking continues)

Cami, we should head into detention.

See, kids. This is why you should
always have a backup plan.

So, whatcha got?

Hey, Charlotte.

Hello, I'm your server, Charlotte.

I know. I just said your name.

We'll take some onion rings, please.

I'll get right on that.

But first, Dinky's has a new game
called "Table Trivia."

You can win fun prizes
by just answering questions. Wanna play?

Not at all.

First question.

What do you like most about
the person you're eating with?

That he doesn't ask annoying questions.

(laughs) You won this...

napkin dispenser.

No.

Okey-dokey. Uh... (chuckles)

Number two.

For your next hang sesh,

would it be a movie,
or karaoke at Kangaroo Jim's?

It would be eating the onion rings
I ordered two minutes ago?

You, young lady, are a hoot! (laughs)

Question number three...

can wait while I go put your order in.

A self-driving monster truck.

What a time to be alive.

Walker: Hey, Jenna.

I hope this isn't about
you-know-who getting out of you-know-what.

Ooh, a riddle.

I'm gonna need a moment.

We had to turn around because
Cami left her lunch in the car.

But now that you've brought it up,
I do want to talk about you-know-who.

Let's chat in the hallway.

Boys, go give Cami her lunch.

So, what's Mom's new plan?

Actually it's mine,
and it's pretty brilliant.

-Yours?
-Well, we could always use Ollie's.

Three words, time ma-chine!

So you're saying
you're not here to apologize

and admit that I was right.

Um, no. I'm here to
remind you of all the reasons

why I'm right and you're wrong.
Reason number one...

I'm right and you're wrong.
Let's go, boys!

See you tomorrow, Coop.

Here's my pudding.
I don't want any problems.

Fred, I'm not going back over there.

She's already annoyed.

And now her onion rings are missing.

Fred: They were under-seasoned, anyway.

Charlotte, I need to know
what this guy has that I don't.

It's the only way I'm ever gonna
get my Nevey back.

Please? Just go back one more time?

I'm sorry, but the answer's no.

Fred: You're going over there, young lady!

Fred, you know I don't like it
when people point at me. Stop it.

I'll stop pointing when you go over there.

Oh, so now you're double pointing.
No, I'm not going!

Fine. Then you leave me no choice.

Are you trying to get me fired?
We have a health code!

I'll go. Just put your shoe back on.

Deal. Shall we shake on it?

Bad news. We're all out of onion rings,
but I brought mozzarella sticks.

I'll eat 'em, but I'm not happy about it.

So, I-- I see you're into skateboarding.

Actually, I'm a pro-fesh.

You should see my nose-slide. It's amaze.

So, is that what you're into now, Neve?
Skateboarding?

Charlotte, can I talk to you?

What's up with all the questions about Ty?

Did Fred put you up to this?

-Is he here?
-Uh, what? No. Fred? No, no.

I haven't seen him in ages.

Fred: Where is that pie?

OK, break time's over. Bye, then.

Fred, you almost got caught.

Fred: So what intel did you get me?

Just that his name is Ty
and he's a pro-fesh skateboarder.

Fred: So he's a daredevil, eh?

I see Neve definitely has a... type.

But more importantly,
she's getting suspicious,

so we have to get you out of here
before she sees you.

Fred: No problem. I'm the king of stealth.

I'll sneak out the back like a ninja.

-(clattering)
-Fred: Ow! Stupid mop.

-Ow. Ugh! Ugh.
-(clattering continues)

Cami.

I need you to understand my decision
to give you detention wasn't easy.

You get that, right?

Oh, come on.

If I showed favoritism, the teachers
and the students would resent you.

Now, if it was Cooper,
he probably wouldn't even notice.

He's more of a simple boy,
easily confused.

But not you.

So if you think about it,

me giving you detention
was probably the best thing...

Oh, who am I fooling?

I did the wrong thing here.

Cami, I'm sorry.

I'm not easily confused, right?

Hey, Jenna, I was just...

Are you holding a trophy?

Yes.

My bowling team came in first place.

The Pin Doctors!

Good job!

Well, look, I was calling 'cause
I just had a change of heart.

I'm releasing Cami from detention early.

No! I mean,

not until I get down there.
I wanna see her face when you tell her.

See you! Bye!

Ollie, go find your sister.

We've got to get her back into detention
right now or we're busted.

Jenna, I am so sorry.

I came down way too hard
on Cami and it was unfair.

But I want to thank you
for respecting my decision, anyway.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did.

Let's go tell her she can go.

Actually, I thought about
your change of heart

and it made me have one.

Cami deserves detention.

What? But an hour ago, you just said--

Oh, don't worry about what I said.
I babble. Blah, blah, blah.

The important thing is,
she needs to be punished.

Don't let the system
turn its back on her now.

Jenna, no great crime was committed!
I'm gonna let her out.

-(loud clattering)
-What are you doing?

Stop kicking those lockers.
I just had 'em painted.

Well, if there's no punishment
for breaking the rules,

I can do anything I want!

Whoo! Look at me!
I'm runnin' in the halls!

-Mom is out of her gourd.
-Jenna: Whoo!

-I love it!
-(Jenna yelling)

Well, Principal Walker
is blocking the door.

How am I supposed to get in
and make the switch?

I have an idea...

-Jenna: Whoo-hoo!
-...and it's just crazy enough to work.

Or it's just crazy.

Either way, we're gonna find out.

Jenna: Who's the rule breaker now?

(loud banging)

Uh, uh... (screams)

-Fred, are you OK?
-(groans)

'Sup, brah? Just got finished
doing some gnarly rail slides.

It was sick.

Fred, I... I know what you're doing,

and I can't let you go
over there looking like this.

Why? Am I bleeding?

No, because you're not a skateboarder.

Oh, really? Then how come
I can do this? (grunts)

-(woman yells)
-(clattering)

Sorry, ma'am.

OK, as your big sister,
I really need you to listen to me.

If you go over there pretending to be
someone you're not,

then that's you lying again.

Didn't she break up with you
for being dishonest?

No.

OK, that was a lie.

Fred, you just need to be yourself.

That's what she fell for
in the first place. She liked you.

Wow.

I think you just saved me
from a huge mistake.

Thank you, Charlotte.

Of course.

I'm gonna start being honest
with Neve right now.

Here. Hold my bangs.

Hey, Fred.

Sorry to bother you,
but I just want you to know

I'm gonna work at being
the best version of myself I can be.

So hopefully,
one day, you'll be able to trust me again.

Even if it's just as friends.

Is that the dude from the billboard
on the highway?

What's his sitch?

I'm not sure.

(loud banging)

(panting)

You know what?

I'm gonna just let you finish doing
whatever this is.

Wait! No, no, you can't go in there!

Cami, you're free. Go dance.

Dance like everybody's watching.

Looks like she fell asleep.
Best not to wake her.

Cami, didn't you hear me? You can go.

-I heard you.
-Oh, thank goodness.

OK, let's go. I will call you later.

You guys actually pulled it off.

How did you sneak in
without using the door?

It was Ollie's idea.

The time machine?

I wish.

Where's Cooper?

He's up there now.

What?

Hey, Jenna. Did you forget something?

Apparently.

Give me a second.

(whispers) What do we do?

Remember the family saying.

"Flush once and then check."

No. "Wrathers stick together."

But how do we get him down?

-Whoa!
-(crashing)

He's down.

Walker: Cooper?

(imitating Cami) No.

Thank you for taking us all
to the monster truck rally,

even though we didn't really deserve it.

My pleasure, cuddle bunny.

(yelling) Those trucks were very loud!

Very, very loud!

It was awesome.

I didn't even know monster trucks
could give autographs.

I now know what my purpose in life is.

I thought it was to be a rodeo clown.

Why can't I be a rodeo clown
that drives a monster truck?

Don't put me in a box, Mother.

Thanks for letting us off the hook.

Oh, you're not off the hook.

You, Cami, and even Ollie
will be in detention next Saturday.

-(all groaning)
-That's fair, guys.

-You do deserve it.
-Oh, you're going, too.

(groans)

Well, until then,
who's up for a family game of basketball?

(yells) It's on!

Well, you guys have fun.

I got school tomorrow.

Uh, wait. Why don't you hang out and play?

Yeah. We could go three-on-three.

You heard 'em.

OK, sure. Why not?

Hope you like swat-burgers,
'cause that's all I'm serving, rook.

Cooper: Here's my pudding.
