06x17 - Undercover Dukes (Part 2)

Post by bunniefuu »

'Yee-haw!'

Now, that racin' car
belongs to the only daughter

of J.J. Carver, Mary Beth.

Old J.J. runs a crime
syndicate for the entire South.

I think you'll find
these contracts..

More than generous.

- I want you to drive for me.

Mary Beth, did you
sign up the Duke boys?

No, daddy.

They said they were retired
and weren't interested.

I think, I can..

Make the Duke boys an
offer that they can't refuse.

I'm a federal agent.

Mary Beth talked to
us about drivin' a car

she didn't say nothing
about her daddy's business.

Chances are she doesn't know
about her daddy's business.

If you accept his offer, you
can be our foot in the door.

If Jesse feels bad now,
he'd really be worried

if he knew what Bo
and Luke was going' into.

- The maws of J.J. Carver.-
You have a good birthday too.

B-a-a-d company.

And how do you think
Uncle Jesse's gonna feel

come Saturday and everybody's
wishin' him happy birthday

except the two people he loves
more than anythin' in the world?

Someday you're gonna know
how it is with Luke and me now.

Yeah, well, I know
how I feel right now.

Hold it right there, lover boy.

I knew you two
were up to somethin'.

I hope Mr. Carver
gives me the opportunity

to find out exactly what it is.

- Now, move, lover boy. Move.
- Take it easy with that thing.

Who is it?

'Uh, Jo Jo, sir.
Uh, it's important.'

Come on in.

Well, now what is this?

Caught him sneakin'
around outside, sir.

You got somethin' to say, Luke?

Not until he puts that g*n away.

Put the g*n away.

I was on my way to
see you, Mr. Carver.

Me and my cousin
are pullin' out.

Well, you, uh,
want to tell me why?

This afternoon I caught this
clown searchin' our motor home.

'Now, we ain't stayin'
where we ain't trusted.'

Jo Jo, is he
tellin' it like it is?

Well, uh, yes,
sir, but-but, uh..

Luke, I owe you an apology.

I hope you will be
gracious enough to accept it.

'I'd hate to think that my
daughter's gonna suffer'

for somethin' as stupid as this.

Jo Jo will not bother you again.
You have my word on that now.

That's good enough for me.

I owe you one.

You damn fool.

Well, sir, you told me to
check 'em out real good.

I didn't tell you to get caught.

- Now, get out.
- Yes, sir.

It's open.

Uh, do you mind if I
come in, Mr. Jones?

Thank you.

What do you want?

Uh, look, Mary Beth, I..

I'm not too good at
making speeches.

I told you I was sorry.

I was just tryin' to
check the tachometer.

Check the tach... you realize
what a silly thing that is to do

while somebody's
drivin' a car out on the..

Listen, I-I guess I'm just

not used to havin' a co-driver
sittin' right there next to me.

Especially not one
as pretty as you are.

Mary Beth, come here. Come on.

Have you ever given a long
look at my cousin, Luke Duke?

I gotta drive next
to him every day.

Oh, Bo.

Oh, I guess it was
kinda silly, wasn't it?

Yeah, it was kinda
silly reachin' over, but..

Look, I had no call
to yell at you like that.

I'm real sorry, Mary Beth.

Oh, Bo, I'm really sorry too.

Mr. Jones, isn't it
past your bedtime?

'Give me that blanket
back, would you?'

'Just settle down and
go to sleep, please.'

Listen, Boss. Flash
and me, we can't sleep.

Huh?

- Listen, tell me a story.
- I don't know any more stories.

I forgot all the
stories I ever knew.

When I was a little boy my
mama used to tell me a story

and then I could
go right off to sleep.

Yeah? Well, I
forgot every story.

- I happen to have one here.

- Yeah. Yeah, read that.
- Goodness sakes.

I've got it folded down.
That's my best part.

- I've read it up to there.
- ""Why, grandma," she said.

""What long, furry
ears you have?"

""All the better to hear you, my
dear," said the wolf cheerfully.

""And your eyes," said
Little Red Riding Hood.

""Oh, my, they look
like big green marbles."

""All the better to see
you with," said the wolf.

""My, oh, my, grandma,"
said Little Red Riding Hood.

"What long, jagged
teeth you have?"

Don't read that part
about teeth. That's scary.

- I don't wanna hear that.

You don't wanna hear
scary parts? The rest is scary.

So I ain't reading any more
of it. That's it. Goodnight.

Go to sleep.

Besides, I like stories
with happy endings.

I don't like, necessarily,
happy endings.

You don't, huh? I'll tell you a
story without a happy ending.

Once upon a time,
there was a sheriff.

And he kept keepin' the
man who made him a sheriff

up all night, so come mornin'...

Yeah, what happened
in the morning?

The man who was sheriff
wasn't sheriff no more.

- I can't. I'm sound asleep.

You think he believed you?

Well, I'm still breathin'.
I'm breathin' hard.

But still breathin' anyway.

The answer to what we wanna
know is in there on that map.

So all we gotta do is
get into Mr. Carver's office

and look at that map without
gettin' our heads blown off?

I got an idea on how to do that.

As long as you don't
mind doin' little actin'.

- I'll fill you in the mornin'.

Alright.

Boy, I never thought I could've
missed Hazzard this much.

- Oh, I'm still breathin'.

Hard, but still breathin'.

Race day. Now or never for the
boys to get what they come for.

- Nah.

That don't exactly build up
my confidence, does it yours?

Alright.

Bo and Luke wasn't the only
ones up early the next mornin'.

Flash hadn't slept
a wink all night.

- 'Come on, Bo!'
- 'Come on, Bo!'

- 'Making good time.'
- 'You got it!'

Alright.

- Oh, no.
- Let's go see if he's okay.

Friends, I think this
is the boys' plan.

Ah!

Must've hit my elbow on the
steering wheel when I stopped.

- You sped up real good.
- Thank you.

- Help me out of here.

- We got no time for that now.

We better get some
ice. It's startin' to swell up.

- We got all that at the house.
- Alright.

- Hey, I'll come with you.
- Alright.

Anna Louise, do me
a favor and stay here.

That way I know
where Jo Jo is, alright?

Alright.

- Hey, Jo Jo.

You're in enough trouble
already with Mr. Carver.

- That hurts. Right.

- Bo, let me see that arm.
- No, no. It's hot.

Wait, would you take that
off? Luke can take care of it.

Uh, besides, there is somethin'
more important you could do.

Have Herky go check out
the front end on that race car.

When I went around that last
corner it was actin' strange.

- No.

He don't want you to
hear him scream when...

I'm not. Will you be careful?
I won't have to scream.

- Okay, Mr. Macho.
- Yeah.

- Alright, let's go.
- Okay.

Wrap that up the
rest of the way.

Watch out for the guard.

Here, you ain't
gonna believe this.

What?

'Cousin, I do believe
we hit the jackpot.'

- I think so.
- See if we can get this off.

- 'Make sure my instructions..'
- Holy smoke!

Find a place to hide.

Uh-oh. Looks like Bo and
Luke don't have a prayer.

- 'I don't want any slip ups.'
- Go, go, go.

What about Chicago?
Are they advised?

Yes, sir.

East Coast, Chicago and
the Kentucky connection.

Congratulations.

'I didn't think you
could pull it off.'

Is the room arranged
to your satisfaction?

Oh, yes. Everything's
fine, everything's fine.

Just think of that, Bender.

No more g*ng wars.

After this meeting just
one big organization.

With me at the
head of it, of course.

Now, what is
worryin' you, Bender?

If the Feds can prove
we held this meeting

we can all go up for conspiracy.

'And how they gonna do that'

when they don't know when or
where we're holdin' the meetin'?

Sometimes you worry
too much, Bender.

Come on. Hannah must
have lunch prepared by now.

Can you believe that?

- Let's get out of here.
- Yeah, while we still can.

My heart is still poundin'.

Boy, I bet that
chicken is a yum-yum.

Oh, it is good.

- These beans are cold.
- Yeah.

- Hello.

Come on out now.

Lift her up, would you?

Well, Herky says the
front end checks out fine.

Look at you, there.

- Oh, it's-it's fine.

- The swelling's going down.
- We gotta get to the track.

The time trial starts soon.

Could, uh, maybe you and
Herky take the car down there?

- Luke and I'll meet you there.
- Gotta pick up distributor cap.

- This one's got hairline cr*ck.
- See you later. Thanks a lot.

I better check up on them
Dukes. Oh, I might have known.

' - They're going off again.

I tell you, Rosco, this is it.

- I can feel it in my stomach.
- Oh, yeah.

What do you think
you're doing eating that?

I'll tell you something.

My stomach's tellin' me
that they don't like cold beans.

Well. Well, well, well.

Look, is somebody
followin' them?

- Sure are, come on.

We gotta go after them. Onward!

- Come on. Look at him.
- Come on. Come on. Come on.

Come on to your daddy.

Well, we picked up an escort.

'Looks to me like
your best friend, Jo Jo.'

I'm gonna enjoy losing this guy.

Hang on.

- I'm going as fast as I can.

After all, this is one
of your used cars.

Well, that's no excuse. Onward!

Listen, you know, if..

I drive better with a chomp.

Holding on to his
piece of the road.

Let's see what it
can offer him here.

You push it, push it.

'Alright, don't stop after
this. Come on, keep moving.'

Alright, fella, next time
you watch where I'm driving.

Yeah.

Alright, come on.

- We need some gas.

Yes.

Got a little information.

While the Duke boys was
tellin' the Federal Agent Walden

what they'd seen and heard

Boss and Rosco was tryin' to
get the goods on the Duke boys.

There they are
now. Get the camera.

Can I help you?

What? Hush. No. Yes, of course.

Uh, just fill it up
with supreme.

Uh, uh, just make that
three gallons regular.

Good grief.

Hey, Boss, listen.

'That's the one the
Dukes met with earlier.'

Don't sit there with your teeth
in your mouth. I want pictures.

Well, that's about it.

That's very good.

If you stick with it and
find out where and when

that meeting's gonna be
and get us some pictures

we can put the whole
bunch away for conspiracy.

I think it's, uh, too risky
for us to meet again.

This is my, uh, outer
department number.

'Emergencies only.'

- I'll tell you.
- Yeah, give me that.

- I got some doozies.
- Oh, wonderful.

We got 'em taking a pay off.

Let me tell you this is the
biggest moment of my life.

Mine too.

When I show this film to
J.J. and he gets it developed.

- The Hogg team is in.
- In.

- The Duke team is out.
- Out.

Ain't ol' Boss somethin'?

He can mess up the Dukes
even outside of Hazzard County.

Get away from there.

- Well, we better get back.
- Hey, good luck, boys.

I can't tell you how much
good you've done us.

Thanks a lot.

Seems like everyone in Hazzard
knew it was Jesse's birthday.

The problem was, he
didn't know they knew.

- Hey, Cooter.
- Hey.

Well, I'm deliverin' one
Uncle Jesse for inventory.

Sure appreciate you comin'
over to help out, Uncle Jesse.

Well, might as well
come over here.

Doesn't seem like there's
anything else to be doin' here.

Let's get to count.

Yeah, I bet he thinks
we forgot what day it is.

Oh, I know he did.

What time do you
want us over there?

Well, I'd say about
o'clock, alright?

Thanks, Cooter.

Whoops!

- Oh, Rosco, it's
the Dukes. What?

Don't let 'em see us.
Get down, get down.

- Flash, get over there.
- Get down, Flash.

- Oh, no!
- 'Do something! Do something!'

'Now, you done it!'

Take Flash with you. I
don't want her to get wet.

- Yeah, get Flash.

Come on, doggy. How do you
pick up a dog like this anyhow?

Come on, come on. Come on quick.

Don't keep me
holding this thing.

'Take her, take her.'

'Oh, wait a minute.
Don't do that.'

'Oh, it's going right in.'

That makes us even, fatso.

- Wait till I get ahold of you...
- Wait. Hold your breath.

You see that tow truck
going down the road?

You're gonna need
every breath you got

so you can run down there
and catch that tow truck.

I'll just take.. Are
you kiddin' me?

Me run down there and
catch it? Uh-uh-uh-uh.

- Right.

If you wanna keep that
job, you'll keep on runnin'.

Well, where are you gonna
be when I'm doin' all this runnin?

I'll be right here,
watchin' this here car.

'Somebody's gotta keep
an eye on it, don't they?'

Oh, Lucy, I'm so
glad you could make it.

Hey, Lucy. Good to see ya.

What time is Cooter
bringin' Uncle Jesse?

Hi. About an hour or so.

Everyone ought
to be here by then.

Not everyone.

- Alright, alright.

We should be through
here in about an hour.

Uh, you know I've worked
up one powerful thirst.

Why don't you and me go
down to Boars Nest, huh?

Why don't we just
finish what we started?

We lose our place now, we've
to start all over with this junk.

One rumble seat cushion..

Rumble seat?

Uncle Jesse, I just
gotta take a break.

Let's run down to Boars Nest
and get us a barbeque sandwich?

Let's just get it finished.

I'm buyin'.

Well, in that case.

After the race starts

I'm gonna call Uncle Jesse
to wish him happy birthday.

That's a good idea. At least
he'll know we still love him.

- I sure wish we could be there.
- We gotta do what you gotta do.

'Report to the garage area.'

'Ladies and gentlemen..'

Alright, alright, alright.
Settle down. Let's settle down.

Now, we got us some good weather

and we should have
ourselves a good race.

I don't want anyone
taking chances.

Now, gentlemen,
I'm givin' some of you

the benefit of the doubt there.

When you see a yellow flag, I
want you to hold your position.

- Yes, sir.

I like these drivers' meetings
as much as I like racin'.

And, men, I want you to
welcome back to the circuit

those two ugly ducklings,
Bo and Luke Duke.

Thank you. Good to see y'all.

Gentlemen, bow
your heads, please.

Lord, bless these drivers
and their machines.

And I'll sure be beholden
to you if we had a safe race

and none of these
fine young men got hurt.

Amen.

Amen.

Well, that's it, boys.

- Good luck to the lot of you.
- Thank you.

You did well. Take
this. Alright, take that.

Come on, let's go,
Rosco. We gotta..

Now, when Boss Hogg don't
argue about the price of somethin'

he's gotta be awful anxious
to get where he's going.

Onward!

And where he's goin', is to
show J.J. Carver that film.

Meanwhile at the
Tri-County Track

the race was
gettin' ready to start.

'...pleased to present the
th annual Tri-County .'

'All the super stars of
NASCAR racin' are here today.'

'Darrell Waltrip, Buddy Baker,
Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough.'

- You gotta stay on him, Luke.
- Brought your suit and helmet.

I'll put them over there.

- Let's hope you don't need 'em.
- You got that right.

I guess you know how much
this means to my little girl.

Ah, well, sir. We
will do our very best.

You do that.

And anything else it
takes to win this race.

- Yeah.
- Yes, sir.

- Well, he don't scare me none.

I think if I mess
up I'll blame it

on my chief mechanic
and backup driver.

That's always safe.

Alright. Cooter's
bringin' him in right now.

Everybody, shh!

- Yes, sir.
- Yeah, we get us a..

What in tarnation is goin' on?

Happy birthday!

'The pace car bringin' the
field by for the final time'

'before we turn 'em loose
to the Tri-County today.'

'Let's review the
starting front five rows..'

Herky, I'm gonna
make a phone call.

I'll be right back, alright?

I've got some important
things I gotta take care of.

- 'Daddy, you can't leave now.'
- 'Now, don't you worry.'

I'll be back before
the race is over.

'Mary Beth that's a first.'

'Your daddy's never left
the pit during a race before.'

'...in the third position,
it'll be Richard..'

They should be coming through
the front gate anytime now.

We'll be back home in time for
the meeting and come sundown

Mary Beth and I are gonna
have somethin' to celebrate.

Luke didn't have to be a
genius to know what meeting

old Carver was talkin' about.

'...back for Bo Duke
as they take the green.'

'Jumping in front as they come
to line, Bo Duke is challenged.'

'He falls back. Waltrip
is taking the lead..'

So he had to call
Agent Walden and fast.

Walden was out,
but Luke left word

about what he had
heard and seen.

And that he was headin'
for the Carver house.

'Waltrip in front
and right on his tail..'

Howdy. I'm Luke Duke. I'm
with the Carver racin' team.

Wonderin' if you
can do me a favor.

- Happy to oblige.
- Give somebody a message.

Listen.

'He's moving.'

Have you seen the other Duke?

He went to telephone.
His uncle's birthday.

- Come on, Bo.

'...for the lead, down they
come in the main straightaway'

'still under the time. Bo
Duke leads the Tri-County..'

Whoo! Alright!

'Second place,
Darrell Waltrip. Bobby..'

Way to go, Bo.
Just keep in there.

'We've a car out of
control. Spin to the inside.'

'Barney McRae. Brings out
the first caution of the today.'

'Yellow is on the track.'

'Bo Duke. Duke
making a pit stop here.'

'A chance to take on fuel.'

- That was great, Bo.
- Yeah, thanks.

I haven't heard from
Luke. Where's he?

Haven't seen him lately.

Listen, a fella named Luke
gave me a message for you.

What'd he say?

He said, "They're meetin'
right now at the house."

- And then he ran off.
- Alright, thanks.

Bo, you got somethin'
on your mind, get it off.

Come on.

What'd you tell that car driver?

Now, look, sonny.

I'm not asking
you. I'm telling you.

What'd you tell that car driver?

Bet you this here was a necktie.

Thank you, Cooter.

You're not getting any older

you're just getting
better, Uncle Jesse.

They haven't called, have they?

No.

'Daisy, I know how hard
you worked for all this.'

- You know I would.

Now, listen, I know those
two nephews of mine

and there's gotta be
somethin' desperately wrong

or they would've called me.

So would you drive
me over to Capitol City?

If that's what you
want, come on.

Hey, fellas, keep
the party goin', okay?

- We'll do it, Daisy.
- Come on, Uncle Jesse.

Meanwhile at the Carver House

folks was arrivin'
for the big meetin'.

Luke knew that he wouldn't be
welcome through the front gate

so he drove around
the Carver House

where he watched and he waited.

'Pull over to the right now.
Right behind the Duke car.'

Right there.

- Alright, come on.
- Alright, Flash.

Stay here, daddy
will be right back.

Come on. Come on.

Yep, yep. That's
the General Lee.

What? Well, I know the
General Lee when I see it.

- We can't worry about that now.
- No.

What we gotta worry
about is this here film.

Got to get that to Mr. Carver.

Don't pull on that,
would you please?

- Listen, I'm gonna get Flash.
- No, no, no.

No, leave the hound
in the car, will you?

Our job is to get
over that there fence.

- Oh, that one.
- Come on. Onward!

Onward.

Come on. Come on.

Boy, that's, that's a high one.

Don't worry about it.

- There's a stone.
- That's the idea.

Come on, hold my foot, will you?

I asked you to
help me, didn't I?

Here we go.

- Rosco!
- Oh, I'm sorry, there.

Alright, come on. Come
on, get up and let's go.

- That really hurt my posterior.

'Hey, hey, hey. Hold it
right there, Luke Duke.'

- See we caught you blue-handed.
- Yeah.

- Shh, you guys, listen.
- Well, well, well and well.

While your no-good
cousin is throwin' that race

his no good cousin is spyin'
on my good friend, J.J. Carver.

- Shame, shame.
- Boss, you got it all wrong.

We saw you and Bo in town

conniving with
that gambling man.

And when I show this
here evidence to J.J...

Boss, you're
makin' a big mistake.

- It ain't gonna work like...

Hold it right there,
the lot of you.

Oh, Boss, isn't that the
dude that called you fatso.

I think I'll punch him out.

Now, it's not the
time to carry a feud.

Are you kiddin'? I'll take..

- Woo. You're right, fatso.
- Yeah.

You, let me have that camera.

- Thanks a lot, Boss.

You know, Boss and Rosco
could mess up a party in paradise.

- Now, move. Move, fatso.
- That's what we wanna do.

You heard him, fatso, move.

So acting as a single unit using
modern cost-cutting procedures

we're gonna be able
to double our take.

We're gonna have so
much juice to spurt around

we're gonna be
runnin' the people

that are runnin' this country.

Now, let's start
with loan sharking.

I got some ideas I
think ya'll gonna like.

If Bo and Luke are
in some kinda trouble

I want you to know that in
spite of the fact that we're feudin'

I'm on their side.

Oh, I know that Daisy.

Listen, it could be my
arthritis is just actin' up.

Maybe they're doin' just fine.

I hope so.

'Alright, let's get
in. Get in there.'

Watch my g*n.
That's a pearl handle.

- Hey, Rocko.

Rosco.

- You just let me handle this.
- I'll just meet y'all outside.

Hey, stay put.

Excuse me, gentlemen,
I'll be right back.

Everything's gonna be okay,
I'm here to do J.J. a favor.

I'll let you off this time.

Oh, here he comes,
the big muckety-muck.

- It was a very nice plan, Hogg.
- Oh, thank you very much.

Get the Dukes to spy on me.
Luke here, he sh**t this film.

And then he gives it you
and this so-called sheriff.

You must be fools to think that
you can blackmail J.J. Carver.

J.J., you got it all
wrong. Listen, here..

Mr. Carver, Boss and Rosco
had no idea what's going on.

- See there.
- You tie them up.

When I finish my business there,
I'll take care of business here.

And, Jo Jo, get
back to that track.

When Bo Duke finishes
that race, you finish him.

'Bo Duke, car number
, has retaken the lead'

'here in the Tri-County .'

'It's Duke in front by
some four car lengths.'

'In second place is the car
number , Bobby Allison..'

'...and maintaining
third, Darrell Waltrip'

'while Richard
Petty lies in fourth.'

'We're better than midway
through the Tri-County '

'and still Bo Duke carried
out some incredible laps'

'leading the event.'

'Forty, d*ck McCabe, erupting
an engine and slowing down.'

'A back marker in
trouble, McCabe.'

'Safety crews are on the scene.

'And they are extricating
McCabe from the automobile.'

'Whoa, trouble!'

'Robbie Crouch, arced over
the back side of car number '

'side over side.'

'Coming out of his automobile,
Crouch appears to be okay.'

'A horrendous crash
in turn number three.'

'Caution is once again on the
speedway in the Tri-County .'

'A terrible crash involving d*ck
McCabe and Robbie Crouch..'

Daisy Duke. Look who's here.

- Hi.
- Nice to see you again.

Daisy, honey, your
cousin's leadin' the pack.

Is he? This is my Uncle Jesse.
Mary Beth and Anna Louise.

- Girls.

We's lookin' to find Luke.
You seen him around?

Oh, he went off to call y'all.

Come to think of it,
that was a long time ago.

Hey, Boss, what do you
figure is gonna happen to us?

Well, I'll tell ya.

Carver's out there now
gettin' ready to fit each of us

for a pair of cement galoshes.

Ooh, well, that's nice. I
hope your pair is big enough.

You know, they might pinch
your little fat corns, you know.

- Shh.

Say, Boss, what was on
that roll of film of yours?

You and Bo talkin' to that
gambling man in Capitol City

planning to double-deal J.J.

That wasn't no gamblin'
man. That was a federal agent.

- Federal agent.
- Federal agent.

Me and Bo was gonna work
with him to put Carver in jail

where he belongs.

- We don't believe that.

- Wait, I do believe you.
- I believe it too.

- Looks like I was mistaken.
- Mm.

If Walden gets my message,
we may get out of this yet.

'We're down to the last
planned pit stop of the day.'

'Bo Duke, in car number ,
continues to show the way.'

'It's Duke in first.
Allison, second.'

'Walton, third.
Petty is in fourth..'

- There he is.
- There he is.

- Guys, we got smoked.
- Sure, go ahead.

Tell him he just did great.

Hey, Uncle Jesse, Daisy.
Boy, am I glad to see y'all.

We were worried about you.

Well, thank you. Listen,
have ya'll seen Luke?

No. Nobody's seen him. Is
he in some kind of trouble?

I don't know. Didn't he
talk to you on the phone?

He was gonna wish
you happy birthday.

Something's gotta be wrong,
Uncle Jesse. I just know it.

Wait a minute, we should..

'Side over side and his
car is catching on fire!'

'He's still inside
the automobile.'

Listen ya'll, follow me.
I got an idea, alright.

Herky, we'll be right back.

'...on fire and the driver
is inside the automobile..'

I don't know if this will work,
but I want you to win the race.

I'm gonna go to Carver house
and make sure Luke's alright.

- Alright.
- You're gonna need my helmet.

'They've lost car number .'

'Caution is on the..'

'An opportunity
for the leaders to..'

Where's blondie?

He's off talkin' to his kin.
Why, what's the matter?

I'll tell you later. I gotta
keep blondie in my sight.

Oh! Hey, I'm sorry
about that, fella.

'Here, let me give you a hand.'

Jo Jo, you alright?

- Yeah.

- There he is.
- Bo.

'...same lap with
the super-luminaries'

'of Grand National Racing.'

- Go!
- Go!

'Duke is back under way.'

'We're back under green
in the Tri-County .'

'Car number , Bo Duke.'

'Somethin' is amiss
on car number .'

'The car that has dominated
the event has fallen back'

'to third place.'

'It is now Allison in
first, Waltrip is in second'

'Bo Duke is in third and
he's falling further back.'

'Back to fourth, back
to fifth, back to sixth.'

'Apparently on that pit stop,
he must have taken on a tire'

'that is equalized
in car number .'

'Or it can be, but
in his first time-out'

'the heat of some
degrees in the cockpit'

'that Bo Duke just..'

'..Bo Duke, who has
dominated the event'

'almost from the beginning
now in trouble and slowing down.'

'Falling back to sixth
position, he's stabilized in sixth.'

'Something is really
amiss with Bo Duke.'

Bo couldn't figure what Flash
was doin' in that strange car.

But he had other
things on his mind.

To my figures our profit
should be, uh, before expenses

a little over million.

'Which still leaves
each of you gentlemen'

with a net profit of slightly
over million dollars

before and after taxes.

Excuse me, you think we
could get a little air in here?

Sure.

Much obliged.

Howdy.

What are you doing here?
You're supposed to be racin'.

- I know it.
- I thought you was dead.

'..gonna win this
race in a Lockhart.'

'Bo Duke has fallen
back to third place'

'Somethin' amiss
on car number .'

'But he stabilizes his
position and now he's pitting.'

'Bo Duke is coming on the
pit row, unscheduled stop.'

Bo, anything wrong? You
dropped way back to third.

You got to push it,
honey. Bo, talk to me.

- 'Bo, get it out of here.'
- Bo.

Don't let them drive
over your head!

What do you mean I was dead?

Well, he means that Carver
ordered Jo Jo to k*ll you.

- That's what he said.

We gotta get back.
Daisy's drivin' the car.

- Yeah, I think so.

If you do that, then I'll
get Walden outta here

and see if we can wrap
up this whole mess.

- Alright.
- Let's get out there.

- Rosco and I'll go with Luke.
- Be quiet.

After what that
no-good Carver did to us

I want to help even things up.

Three of us against
one of them that's even.

- Yeah.
- Be quiet. We gotta hurry

Take it easy. That race
ain't over for a while.

Be careful. There's
guards all over.

Yeah. We just..

'Well, local racing enthusiasts
at the Tri-County Speedway'

'anticipated Bo Duke would
come back to the track and flash'

'that same championship
form as a year ago.'

'But he has been
relegated to third position.'

What's wrong with Bo? He's
not what he was half an hour ago.

Want me to call him
in for you, Mary Beth?

No. No, don't call him
in. Uh, that's just his style.

He's building up
for a big finish.

You're right about
that, old man.

You're right about that.

Rocko, come on.

- Here, Boss, I'll help you.
- Let go, not you.

- Bring your butt down.
- You nearly k*lled me going in.

A-a-ah!

Take the General Lee, get
out of here. Come on, Boss.

Where we going?

- We're gonna take them.
- There. Alright.

- 'Come on. Come on.'
- 'Let's go.'

- 'Come on.'
- 'Take the jeep. Let's ride.'

'Come on, come on. Let's go.'

We gotta go.

Put that seat
up. Put that there.

Get in there, Flash.
Put on your safety belt.

Buckle up.

Ready. Onward. Go.

Get after them right away.
Don't bring them back.

Bender was callin' his troops.

He told them to
take no prisoners.

By this time, just
about everybody

was tryin' to catch somebody.

Some of Carver's boys
were trying to catch Bo

while the others were
tryin' to catch up to Luke

Rosco, Flash and Boss.

This one's gonna be for Daisy.

Turn, turn, turn.
Get us out of here.

Velvet ears, daddy
will protect you.

'They made it, they're
okay. Come on, let's go.'

'Oh, look. Who's that up ahead?'

Walden had gotten Luke's message

and was on his way
to the Carver house

when Luke flagged him
down, gave him the film

and told him what happened.

Luke then got Bo on the CB

and told him about his
meeting up with Walden.

Bo had to hurry to save Daisy.

Now, that boy better
get there on time.

That's a big - , Luke.

'...in fourth is Richard
Petty. It's still Waltrip in front.'

'Right on his tail, here
comes that second-place car'

'Bo Duke retaking the lead.'

'He's passed Allison,
he's passed Waltrip'

'and back in first
place, Bo Duke.'

'He's out in front with
less than a lap to go here'

'in the Tri-County .'

'Back to the old championship
form of a year back'

'when he went into retirement.'

'Here he is, headed
for the checkered flag.'

'Bo Duke, first time in the
cockpit of an automobile'

'in a year and he's headed,
as the crowd rises to its feet'

'for victory lane.'

'Checkered flag is out,
Bo Duke is the winner.'

'Darrell Waltrip will complete
the race in second position.'

'Bobby Allison
relegated to third..'

Well, thanks to the Dukes

Carver and his bunch of cronies

were arrested for
conspiracy and abduction

and a mess of other charges
that'd keep them behind bars

till Gabriel's
trumpet was blowin'.

Now, back at the track ol' Bo
felt awful bad for Mary Beth.

And he tried to help
her as best as he could.

Listen, I-I wish things
could've been different

but they just, they just aren't.

I wish they could have
been different, that's all.

Look, he's in a pile
of tires over there.

Well, you gonna let
your Uncle Jesse know

what's going on here?

Well, sir, Luke and me was
working for another uncle.

- Uncle Sam.

That's right. They wouldn't
let us tell you about it before.

But I promise I'll make it all
clear to you on the way home.

You think you and Luke will
ever be able to forgive me?

Forgive you for what? You
won the race, didn't you?

The combination of
Jesse's birthday party

and the Duke family reunion
was something extra special.

Everybody was forgivin'
somebody for somethin'.

That is, except Rosco, who
was writin' traffic citations.

- Now, say hello from the Boss.
- Hello from the Boss.

He said, "Quit."

He said he wasn't
kidding, he's the boss.

In fact, he's the president

and he wants to thank
the Dukes personally.

- The president.

The president of what?

Now, if you figure it was
the president of the U.S. of A..

Well, you can bet the farm on it

which ain't too unusual
for Hazzard County.

He wants to wish you a
happy birthday, Uncle Jesse.

- The president.
- The president.

The president of the U.S. of A.

Well, thank you, sir.

We're ready for a couple
more beers over here.

Yes, sir.
