07x02 - Welcome, Waylon Jennings

Post by bunniefuu »

'Yee-haw!'

'How long you reckon it's
been since we've seen him?'

- Eight, nine years?
- Yeah. Gotta be.

You gettin' mighty anxious?

It's gonna be good
to see old Waylon.

Yeah, you got that right.

I was really lookin'
forward to seeing old Jesse

and them two
misbegotten nephews of his

and of course, sweet Daisy.

I'd put together this little
traveling show for charity

and hit a passel of the
big cities in the South

which had sort of warmed
me up to hit Hazzard.

Unknowingly, I was bringin'
a lot of trouble to the Dukes.

Though, of all people,
I should've known that

that was as easy as
gettin' up early to go fishin'.

Trouble started
right off the bat.

While Jesse, Daisy and
Enos was collecting that money

selling them tickets
to my charity exhibit

old Boss Hogg was making
his own arrangements

for the exhibit by fixing
up an old abandoned barn

to hide it in, when he stole it.

Which was just about to happen.

Any minute now, them
two friends of mine

are gonna take possession
of that traveling museum.

I tell you, Rosco. I can
already smell all that money.

Oh, yeah. It smells.

- Boss, can I ask you somethin'?
- Go ahead.

What'll you do with them
things once you got 'em?

What'll I do with them
things once I got 'em?

I'm gonna sell 'em. Back
to the insurance company.

For a measly , simoleons.

Boss, wait a minute there's
a flaw in the slaw with that.

Listen, all those things
are worth maybe millions.

Oh, yeah, of course they are.

But, you know, a fine
person like Waylon Jennings

well, he started the
museum to raise money

for charity, didn't he?

- Yeah.
- Well, never let it be said.

That J.D. Hogg ain't as
charitable as the next man.

Oh, now, you see, that's what
makes me like you the way I do.

Listen, that probably
is one of the most

generous selfish things
that you've ever done.

- You little chubby...
- Don't do that.

Here he comes.

Now, you remember
what Mr. Hogg said.

You be real polite
to Mr. Jennings.

Real nice of you to
stop, Mr. Jennings.

Happy to oblige, boys.

Boy, we're sure
glad to hear that.

Now, if you'll kindly step
over to the side of the road.

Now, I've seen die-hard fans
desperate for an autograph

but I ain't never
given one at gunpoint.

Sure has as been
a pleasure, Waylon.

I wish I could say the same.

I've got all your
records, Waylon.

'Come on!'

I got his autograph.

Wouldn't that just
blow your hat in a creek.

Stop!

Is that who I think it is?

Yes, sir, them
Duke boys is quick.

Yeah, it's Waylon.

- Well, let's get back there.
- Back her up, here.

This ain't exactly how I
figured on entering Hazzard.

I mean, I didn't want no
ticker-tape parade or nothing.

But I was hoping
for a bit more dignity.

What the heck happened to you?

Well, I got h*jacked and they
took off that way in my truck.

- What?
- Listen, you stay here.

- We'll get it back.
- Wait a minute, boys.

You could get hurt. Really,
and besides that you don't...

Waylon, come on. What's a
bit of risk between friends, huh?

Stay right here.

Waylon sure took
that hijacking easy-like.

- Hardly understand it.
- Me neither.

Take the cutoff.

- Go for it, Bo.
- Hang on.

What the heck are
we gonna tell Waylon?

I don't know what
you're gonna tell him.

You're a lot of help.

What're we gonna tell Uncle
Jesse, the folks at home?

- I don't know.
- I'll give you a push.

Bring her in now.
That's beautiful.

Oh, very good. That
was fancy driving, alright.

Thank you.

- There it is.
- That's it.

- Let me see...
- No, wait a minute!

- Don't go in there.
- Don't go in there.

No. Not without
taking off your hat.

- Why should I take off my hat?
- Why?

Why, because out of
respect for the contents

of this here museum.

Everything and everybody, that
made country and western music

what it is today, is
represented right inside here.

Well, of course. Now..

This is a sacred place.

See, this is a sacred place.

Don't go in there!
There's something horrible.

- I'm going in.
- Get in there.

- Ah! Ah! Ah!
- I hate that coward.

- Rosco!
- What?

Lookie here.

It's been picked clean.

There ain't a memory, a
memento or memorabilia

in the whole dump.

When the boys came back,
they said they'd lost the truck.

Then along came something
that made them think

that they'd lost their minds.

Hey, Bo, take a look at this.

'Wait a second.'

Well, ain't that the truck
we've been chasing?

Yes and no.

'Bo, Luke, this
is Betty Jo Page.'

She's with the company
that insures the exhibit.

It was her idea to
use the decoy museum

just in case something happened.

'Her little gamble paid off.'

So, what you're saying then,
is that other truck is empty.

We've used this
all along the tour.

Unfortunately, it's the
first time we've needed it.

Well, what do you know
about that, clever and cute.

Say, maybe you would
like to see the museum.

It'll give me a chance
to clue Betty Jo in.

Sounds good to me. Lead the way.

"Sounds good to
me. Lead the way."

You boys go on in there.

- Good picture, Waylon.
- Alright.

I think you'll enjoy
it. Go ahead and look.

Look at that.

Hey, look at this.

Hank Williams Jr.'s
pedal steel guitar.

That's right.

Never could figure out
how they played them things.

Hey.

"Willie gave me his
hair right off his head.

What a friend!"

Oh, Bo, look at this.

Holy mackerel!

Buddy Holly's motorcycle.

Lookie there,
there's the bill of sale.

Boy, this place is
really something.

It sure would be hard to try
and replace any of this stuff.

That decoy truck was
a heck of a good idea.

That's when the Duke boys
came along and took out after them.

I bet that's the first time
they lost anything on wheels.

So they're pretty
good drivers, huh?

The very best.

That's interesting.

Hoo-wee!

That's something!

Boy, I'd like to
play that guitar.

It would be something.

- Whoo!
- That's something else!

- Never seen nothing like it.
- I think they're impressed.

Boys, here's a little
token of appreciation

for the risk that you two took.

I only gave them one hat.

That'd give them
something to fight over.

Dang, got your name
all over it, too, don't it?

'Jesse, this niece of yours
gets prettier every time..'

When we got to Hazzard,
everybody figured

all the excitement was over.

But I should have known better.

You're gonna take
supper with us, ain't you?

I got a crawdad
bisque a cookin'.

We're gonna have catfish,
collards and corn bread.

I wouldn't miss your
cooking for nothing.

That is, provided somebody
take me to the airport after supper.

- You betcha.
- I got a show in Memphis.

Mr. Jennings, let me
say how happy I am

how everything
turned out alright.

And I was so happy to learn
that this young lady, here

was the one that thought
up the decoy truck.

Now we've got the
museum here, Mr. Hogg

what do you plan on doing
about what happened?

Well, first of all, I wanna
commend the Duke boys, here.

For just happening to be
at the scene of the crime

and nearlycapturing
them two crooks.

Well, thanks a lot for
the commendation, Boss

but, you gonna answer
the little lady's question?

- Huh?
- Yeah.

Just exactly what is the
fair city of Hazzard gonna do

to ensure this museum
doesn't get stolen again?

What are we gonna do?

Alright, I'll tell you
what we're gonna do.

I hereby am offering
a $ , reward

'for the apprehension
of them criminals.'

That said reward to be donated

to Mr. Waylon
Jennings' favorite charity.

Bless him.

Oh, great!

I'm gonna post my
most trusted man

to stay here on
guard all night long.

Oh, well. Listen, Boss.

Don't worry. I'm
won't let you down.

I know, Rosco, because
I ain't talking about you.

I'm talking about
Deputy Enos Strate.

'Oh, good grief.'

- Thank you, sir, but...
- Don't mention it.

Now, folks, if you'll excuse me

the sheriff and I got important
county business to discuss.

- Come on, will you?
- You gonna leave that..

- Congratulations, Enos.
- Oh, Thank you pal.

Listen, being new in town,
maybe you'd like to have dinner...

Dinner with the whole family
out at the farm, maybe, huh?

Isn't that what you
were gonna say, Bo?

- Yeah.
- I'd love to.

I'll tell you one thing,
that foxy little lady

really outfoxed you,
little chubby buddy.

- No, she didn't.
- She didn't?

She's won the
battle, but not the w*r.

I'm gonna get my hands
on that... realmuseum truck.

Or know the reason why.

We'll just get a hold
of the museum truck..

Wait, what are you..

Ol' Boss ain't stole that
hat 'cause his head is cold.

You know that Boss
is gonna cause trouble.

But he wasn't the only one.

You see, Betty Jo was a pro.

And a pro investigator
suspects everybody.

So the first thing
that Betty Jo did

when she left Bo and Luke,
was call her office to see

if they had anything
on the boys.

Well, it's probably nothing,
but they knew our schedule

and just happened to be
at the scene of the crime.

Yeah. Okay.

Get back to me, then. Thanks.

Alright, boys. Let me tell
you, you sure are lucky.

Because you're gonna
get a second chance.

Now, if you remember to
do exactly what I told you

well, come morning,
we'll have that museum.

And the Duke boys
will take the heat.

While Boss Hogg
was cooking up his plan

my old friend Jesse had
cooked up enough food

to have an all-day singing
and dinner on the ground.

Uh, we thank you for
this bounteous table

you've placed before us.

Oh, and Lord, we wanna thank you

for not letting Waylon's
museum get stolen.

- Amen.
- Amen.

Amen.

Waylon, tell us how
you first met Mr. Duke.

It was right before my first
professional appearance

and somebody stole my guitar.

'A stranger came along, and
he gave me enough money'

'to buy me another guitar.'

And that stranger
was Jesse Duke.

Waylon, paid me
back with interest.

All them great songs.

You know, I've been
prouder than a peacock

over your career, Waylon.

Well, thank you. Thank you.

What do you suppose them two
wanted with the museum, anyway?

I mean there's no
chance of selling it.

They could ransom it to
the company that insured it.

And you called me clever.

Well, it's kinda
obvious, ain't it?

Anybody ever tell you, you
had a very criminal mind?

Ha! sh**t lady, you're the
first person to ever notice

he had a mind at all.

Well, those two are probably
long gone by now, anyway.

I hope you're right Jesse.

If anything happened
to that museum

I don't know how I'd
face my friends again.

Waylon, don't worry about it.

We got the best lawman
working on it right now

Enos Strate.

After we drop you at the
airport and Betty Jo at the hotel

we'll stop over ourselves.

Yeah, we'll stay over.

Well, that should make us
sleep better tonight. Shouldn't it?

'Whoever marries
either of you two'

is gonna be the
best-fed gal in the county.

Thanks for a lovely evening.

Well, thanks a lot.
It was our pleasure.

Uh, tools of the trade?

Uh, yeah. Hopefully I
won't be needing them.

We'll try and make
sure you won't.

- Goodnight.
- Goodnight.

- Goodnight.
- Thanks again.

Bo, come on.

Hello.

That's right. Bo and Luke Duke.

On probation?

Well... I guess I'll
have to rent a car

and do a little
investigating on my own.

Thank you.

Hey, Enos.

- Easy, easy.
- Hold on, in there. Hold on.

Didn't mean to give
you such a start.

Sorry about your magazine.

Oh, that's okay, Luke, Bo. I got
a Bugs Bunny and two Porky Pigs

I ain't even read, yet.
What y'all doing here?

We got you some banana pudding
and hot chocolate, right here.

Bless your heart.
I appreciate that.

We figured we'd give you a
hand and hang around till morning.

Yeah, what are friends for?

Well, that sure is
nice of y'all, but..

Well, what's wrong, Enos?

Well, y'all being here
might make Mr. Hogg

feel like I ain't capable
of doing my job.

And I was gonna ask
for a raise next month.

It makes sense to me. We
should have thought of it.

You need yourself a
raise. I tell you what.

Take a look at that. It's good.

- I read it too.
- Thank you, Bo.

- Thank you, Luke.
- Bye, Enos.

Appreciate it.

Hot chocolate and
good ol' banana pudding.

Hot dog!

Boy, howdy.

This chloroform ought to
keep him asleep until sun up.

Friends, that hat's gonna fix
the blame right on Bo and Luke.

And ain't nothing or nobody
gonna change Betty Jo's mind.

The news traveled
through the Hazzard hotline

quicker than a room getting dark

when the light was blowed out.

Bo and Luke was
gettin' real hit up

about the museum being stolen.

Like I told you on
the phone, honey

when Deputy Strate here
come to, well, there it was.

That museum truck, it was gone.

Absolutely disappeared.
Nothing left behind.

Oh, except for this
little old baseball cap

lying on the ground.

Waylon Jennings himself
gave that cap to the Duke boys.

Bo and Luke Duke!

- Oh, the plot thickens!
- It does indeed.

Oh, do tell. Bo and Luke Duke.
Wait a minute! Hold everything!

Enos, didn't you tell
me just a minute ago

that Bo and Luke Duke
paid you an itty-bitty little visit

just before you was att*cked?

Said they were gonna
help guard the exhibit.

Here comes somebody.

Speak of the devil.

No, it's Bo and Luke.

What.. Would you, please?

Alright, Boss. Excuse me.

What'd you do with
that dang museum?

- What did I do with the museum?
- Yeah.

Well, that's really funny.

On account of the good
people of Hazzard here

including yours truly,
we're just about to ask you

the self-same question.

- See this here hat?
- Yeah.

You have any idea
whom it might belong to?

Looks like the hat Waylon
gave us. Where'd you find it?

You know where we found
it. At the scene of the crime.

You boys have committed
the most horrendous crime

that this county has ever seen.

That's a fact.

- Alright, I'm gonna arrest you.
- Yeah. Go on.

Rosco, are you nuts?

You idiot!

Now, I guess y'all have
seen enough whodunits

to know that that's
a homing device

that Betty Jo's
putting on the General.

You know, she's
awful slick for a woman.

Wonder if she can type.

Hey, thanks a lot.
Sure appreciate it.

- Why are you doing this for us?
- Let's just say I wanna help.

Well, you won't be sorry.

They're getting away!
There they go! After them!

- After them, Rosco!
- 'Get in there.'

Now, go on, go on, go on.

Betty Jo's plan
was pretty simple.

She thinks that Bo and
Luke did steal the museum.

She figures to follow 'em
with her tracking device

which would lead her to
where the museum was stashed.

But even in Hazzard,
things ain't that simple.

'That Betty Jo is some
kind of lady, ain't she?'

I wish she'd deal
straight with us, though.

What are you talking about?

She don't trust us, the
things she's been saying

like the other night at dinner.

Because she thinks that
we're involved in this heist.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

Well, sh**t. We are
in a way, aren't we?

How did that cap get
there in the first place?

- Come on.
- Boss Hogg.

Well, if we're gonna
clear ourselves

we gotta get that
real museum back.

The first order of
business is to lose Rosco.

I hear you.

Enos, move over.
How's Flash gonna see?

Why don't you take that
cutoff down next to the railroad?

You got it.

Bo, dead end.

'Whoa!'

Mr. Hogg's gonna be
madder than a wet hen, Sheriff.

Oh, Enos, it ain't his bridge.

Well, that's one bridge
Rosco won't cross

when he comes to it again.

For once, luck was
running with the Dukes.

A farmer called in
on the Hazzard net

with the location
of that stolen truck.

Much obliged. We're on our way.

Betty Jo discovered
that following the General

through Hazzard put a
whole new slant on drivin'.

- Boss, can I ask you something?
- Yeah, go ahead.

Why aren't you yellin' at me
for not catching the Dukes?

Well, because if you
had caught them Dukes

I wouldn't be able to
send the ransom note

to that insurance lady.

Oh, you wouldn't, would you?

Ah, exactly which
ransom note is that?

Well, I'm talking about the
one you and I are gonna make

by cutting out words from
all these here publications.

Oh. Cutting out words?

Yeah, that's right. That
way the ransom note

won't be traced back to us.

- You get it?
- Oh, I got it.

- You little...
- Would you please..

- Come on, start cutting.
- Oh, really.

Listen, you don't
mind, I'm gonna borrow

these scissors after I
get through with this.

Huh? Borrow them? What for?

Well, Flash needs a trimming.

If you don't get to
work, the only thing

that's gonna be trimmed
around here is your weekly pay.

Now get to work!

Oh!

While Boss and Rosco was
concocting that ransom note

the boys was
lookin' over that truck

which turned out to be not
the one with the museum

but the decoy.

Don't know if it's
gonna help anything

but got some fresh road tar.

Wait a minute,
they was re-tarring

that stretch of road by Ben
Brady's place, yesterday.

You're right. Let's
go take us a look.

Since Betty Jo didn't
hear that farmer report

finding the decoy truck

she figured what she saw
was the Dukes hiding that truck.

Which made her more
convinced than ever

that the Duke boys were guilty.

If it wasn't for bad luck,
the Dukes wouldn't have

any luck at all.

'Hey hey hey.'

' "Resurfacing,
one mile ahead."'

If that museum truck is
anywhere around here

there's only one place
big enough to hide it.

Yup. Let's go take us a look.

Oh oh!

Thanks a lot for your help.

That's nice work.
You didn't need me.

Drag him on over
here, we'll tie him up.

Here we go.

'Remember the
last time we did this?'

-'To old Enos?'
- 'Yeah.'

'And hung him up on the
back of the sheriff's wall, there.'

Let's get in this thing
and take it back to town.

I think we better check inside,
make sure everything's there.

'Alright.'

'Willie's pigtails.
Can you believe that?'

'Everything seems to be okay.'

'All the gold records are
there too. Seems alright to me.'

Hey, Bo, didn't we..

'Didn't we close that door?'

'Yeah.'

Well, I wonder, I
wonder how it got open.

Why do I have
to do all the work?

Hold it right there!

See this gasoline?
You boys just ease off.

Or all these goodies
go up in smoke.

Now, I'll tell you I'm sure
glad Bo and Luke stopped.

Could you imagine me
going back to everybody

trying to explain what happened?

Soon as we get these
two tied up, I'll call the man.

See what he wants
us to do with them.

You two ain't gonna
get away with this.

I can't believe you said that.

It always worked for John Wayne.

Meanwhile, Betty Jo was telling
Boss what she thought she saw

and was demanding that
he do something about it.

- Wait a minute.
- Just a minute.

Let's not be too
hasty about this.

Rosco P. Coltrane, here.

Hello? Hello?

J.D. Hogg speaking.

- Hogg.
- Oh. Yes?

Yeah, those Duke
boys found us out here.

Yeah, they come in, and
they b*at Buddy up bad.

But don't worry, I got
control of the situation.

They are tied up
out here, right now.

Ah, just a moment. Hold on.

Rosco, Enos, what are
you standing there for?

Didn't you hear her?

Go ahead with Betty Jo here

get out there and
arrest them Duke boys

and bring that museum
back to town, you hear?

- Thank you, Mr. Hogg.
- You're welcome.

Go on, go on, go on!

Yeah, do it, do it, do it!

Yeah.

Jeb, alright, now, listen.

Here's what I want you to do.

Buddy, you tied
these ropes too tight.

We don't wanna cut off
their circulation... just yet.

Come on. Let's get
this rig out of here.

Wait a minute. Why did
you loosen up them ropes?

Because Hogg said to.

Ah!

While all this was going
on Jesse and Daisy

was on their way to the airport.

That's where they were
supposed to meet me.

Oh.

'Oh. Look. There it is.'

Young lady, you stay here,
because this might be dangerous.

Sheriff, those boys
betrayed the trust of this town

and their friend,
Waylon Jennings.

- I don't think...
- Hush, I'll take care of this.

Now you stay here.

We gotta cuff and
stuff them Duke boys.

I think I got it.

Give me a hand, will you?

You're getting
slow in your old age.

- Don't tie it tighter.
- I'm not.

- Thanks.
- What are we gonna do now?

Give Uncle Jesse a call.

Tell him what happened
to that museum.

Wrong wrong wrong.
Suppose you tell me first.

Rosco, if we told you,
you wouldn't believe it.

Well, why don't you just try me?

I tell you what, let's
show him what happened.

- Alright.
- Yeah, come on over here.

There's a couple of these guys..

Ah, we'll be them and you be us.

Oh, good.

Well, they had a g*n on us.

- And then they, uh...
- Well, they shoved us down.

Yeah, down into the hay.

And then they tied
us up. Right here.

Put your hands
around the back here.

'They tied it pretty tight.'

Let's see your other hand.

Ooh! They tied it that tight?

- And then..
- Well, they took off.

Yeah, they
skedaddled. Sorry, Enos.

What'd he say they did, Sheriff?

They said they
skedad.. Skedaddled?

Betty Jo, what're
you doin' here?

I brought the sheriff and
his deputy. Where are they?

Well, they're kinda
tied up, at the moment.

One crime after another.

We ain't got time
to talk about it now.

But we're not as
bad as you think.

Well, I'm not as bad
as you think. Actually...

'They tricked us,
and it's your fault.'

You're a dipstick.

Oh, well, hello.

After the boys called
Uncle Jesse to arrange

a meeting they got to
wondering about Betty Jo.

You know, one
thing I can't figure out

is how did Betty Jo
know where we were?

I got it, remember all
the electronic equipment

she had up in her room?

You don't figure she
bugged the General.

Makes sense.

sh**t! She could be
following us right now

we wouldn't even spot her.

Just keep going,
I'll look for that bug.

Alright.

I'm so mad at those Duke boys.

You know, if I do catch
them, I'm thinking about

siccing Flash on them.

Find anything?

About a thousand gum
wrappers and cents in change

and that's mine.

I think, we better pull
over and check the outside.

You better not pull over,
what if they're after us?

Well, sh**t. There
ain't nothing else..

Oh, now wait a minute,
you ain't thinking about

going out the window?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to.

- You got a better idea?
- No, you be careful.

- I'd do it, but I'm driving.
- Yeah.

- Hold her steady.
- I'm tryin'.

Old Luke finally found it

and he tossed it at Cy
Cummings' fruit stand.

Maybe it'll bring in
some customers, huh?

Track that.

Watch out, sheriff.
Watch out, sheriff.

'Would you two..'

That's about the
extent of it, Waylon.

Can't tell you how sorry we are.

Well, first off, I know you
all had nothing to do with it.

Well, we sure appreciate that.

I'll tell you, Waylon,
somehow, someway

we're gonna get that
museum back for you.

Well, I know you're gonna
give it your best sh*t.

Any of you guys got any ideas?

The way I figure it, Boss, or
whoever h*jacked the museum

they gotta be
holding it for ransom.

Otherwise, it'd be long gone.

Yeah, that means that
Betty Jo's gonna be getting

herself a phone
call right quick.

Well, she's not gonna be
telling any of us, including me.

Where or when that
payoff's gonna be made.

Without that information,
there ain't much we can do.

There is a way to
get that information.

'It'll involve a shuck
and jive by Daisy'

but I'm sure she can handle it.

You gotta stop by home
first, pick up the mop and pail.

'Darn, if I didn't lose those
Duke boys on the road.'

'I know, I know, honey'

'because Sheriff Coltrane
told me all the news on the CB.'

And speaking of getting the news

lookie here, this envelope
with your name on it.

It arrived.

Somebody slipped
it under the door.

It's a ransom note
for the museum.

A ransom note for the museum?

'Those Duke boys
don't waste much time.'

Oh, they sure don't.
What does it say?

You can have the museum
back for the sum of a $ , .

Woo-hoo!

Enos, hang on. It's slick as..

Hold on. Don't let
your teeth fall in it.

Excuse me there.

Ma'am, you got the
hall slicky down there.

Listen, that little old
lady oughtn't be working

on her knees like that.

Excuse me, ma'am.

'Enos, would you
close the door please.'

- I'm sorry, I didn't mean...
- 'That's it.'

'I can't believe
this is happening.'

Honey, are you intending
to pay off that ransom?

I guess I don't have any choice.

She don't have any choice.

"You can have the museum
back for the sum of $ ,

"to be placed at
Eagle Rock Meadow..

"at o'clock with
no police involved

or the museum
will be destroyed."

Destroyed.

That gives us about two hours.

Two hours. Oh, my, oh,
my, listen, if you wanna use

my phone to call your
company, go right ahead.

And if you like, they can wire
the money right to my bank.

There's absolutely nothing
that I wouldn't do to help.

- Looks real good.
- Like it?

Boy, did I get in here full.

Boss Hogg gave Betty Jo
this ransom note for $ , .

- She thinks is from you two.
- What?

She thinks the whole
scam is because of you two.

'You did a good job, Daisy.'

Thanks, Uncle Jesse.

But, how are we supposed
to do anything if we don't know

where and when the ransom
is supposed to be dropped off.

Well, it's too bad we don't have
one of those homing devices.

We do have a heck
of an alternative.

That's right, we
got the Hazzard net.

Oh, yeah, it'd give us a
fighting chance, Waylon?

I'm sure glad to hear you say
"us" 'cause I'm going with you.

If it hadn't been for me, you
wouldn't be in this trouble.

Now, supposin' you
tellus what we're gonna do.

An hour later, Boss picked
up the ransom money

which was wired to his
bank, to turn over to Betty Jo.

In case I need you where
we're going, I want you

to get in the backseat
and lie down real good.

- Right in?
- Put the blanket over...

You want me in the back seat?

- That's right.
- Why? You ashamed of me?

What? You ninny.

The note said, no law.

So get in there. Come on.

- I'll cover up with a blanket.
- That's the idea.

- Cover yourself up.
- Got it.

- Tuck yourself in.
- Yeah, got it.

- That's the way.
- Yeah.

Bo Duke here, calling on y'all
out there on the Hazzard net.

You got your ears on?

'Maloke here,
the fishing's great.'

Yeah, I know, the
fishing's good, Mr. Maloke.

'But if that truck goes
by, call us. Alright?'

The Dukes arranged a
Hazzard homing device.

Which means calling
everybody that you know

and asking them to call
back if they see Boss' Cadillac.

'Haven't seen that
car round here.'

Yeah, thanks a lot, Mr. Perry.
We sure appreciate it.

Well, no matter where that
young lady goes, we got it covered.

Still can't understand her
turning on us like she did.

Well, you got to
look at it like this.

If you was in her place, you'd
feel he same way about us.

I'd feel the same way about
you, but I'd dang sure trust me.

Don't do it.

I'm sure glad to see you two
ain't changed over the years.

Shepherd to lost sheep,
shepherd to lost sheep.

Red riding hood
just leaving town..

On the way to meet
the big bad wolf.

They're in the Hogg car and
travelling on Route eleven.

That's a big - , we're gone.

Calling lost sheep,
little red riding hood

heading north on old creek road.

Yeah, well, we're much
obliged. Take a right over here.

He just passed Hazzard pond.

Now that Hazzard homing
device is pretty dang slick, huh?

How'd you like to
try that in New York?

Takin' 'em to Eagle Rock. If we
come in the back, we save time.

Oh, yeah, you're right.

There she is.

'Well, here's your money.'

And there they are. Come on.

Keep quiet and stay down.

Drop the money.

Now, I would've joined in but
I didn't wanna hurt my hands.

Alright, just hold it, you guys.

Or this little lady
buys the farm.

It's downright tuckerin'
being in the middle

of one of these Duke things.

Go!

'Now, don't try anything
funny, just calm down, lady.'

- 'You're hurting my arm.'
- 'Keep that g*n on 'em.'

Why don't you let her go?

We'll let her go when we're
ready, now get over there.

'Let's get outta here and
keep that g*n on 'em.'

- 'Stop it!'
- 'Quit struggling.'

- You alright?
- I'm alright.

- You alright?
- I'm alright.

- Come on now. Get in the truck.
- Don't!

Let me go! Stop it!

Don't.

- Get up there.
- 'Let me out of here.'

'Where do you
think you're going?'

'Let me out of here!'

Come on, let's go get 'em.

Come on, we gotta
get to Buddy and Jeb

before Waylon and the
Dukes and get my money.

No, no, the way we
came, dodo. This way.

No, no, Rosco. Would you
get in the front and drive?

'The time for being
clandestine is over.'

Alright, then.
Drive, drive drive.

That's the way, that's the way.
Quick, we gotta get the money.

We was gaining but we still
had a lot ground to make up.

And lady luck wasn't helping.

'Great.'

'You know, Boss would
find some way to stop us?'

The driver must've gone
for help. What do we do now?

We go over it.

Correction. We can try.

- On second thought...
- Now, it's too late, Waylon.

Hang on.

'Yee-haw!'

You alright?

Speechless.

Listen, anything those Dukes
can do, your sheriff can do better.

No, you can't!

Oh, no.

Well, listen, Boss,
you know, that sign

never did do you justice anyway.

Yeah, but that ain't
no improvement.

Duke boys are on our tail.

Not for long. Stop on the
other side of this bridge.

What do you think, Luke?

- It's up to Waylon.
- Gofor it.

'I think you got some
thick blood in you after all.'

'Yee-haw.'

They're still with us.

Yeah, but there's no
way they can stop us.

Drive this thing.

We ain't never gonna pass them.

He's right. If we did, they'd
run us clear in the next county.

Not if we stick something in
front of them, they can't pass.

Waylon, when I get outside,
hand me that bow and arrow.

Good hunting, Luke.

Let's get outta here.

- Wait a minute.
- What?

Oh, no.

'Alright.'

You okay?

Yeah, she's okay.

Forgive me, I'm
sorry, I never should..

Now everyone in Hazzard
got to enjoy the museum.

And if you're wondering
why Boss Hogg is smiling

paying out that $ ,
reward to charity, it's cause

he had Rosco take Jeb
and Buddy to the state police.

So, there was no way anyone
could prove that Boss was tied

in to the whole sh**ting match.

Thank you. Thank you.

Alright.

I'd like to dedicate this
song to Jessie, Bo and Luke.

And Daisy.

For making everything right for
me and the museum in Hazzard.

O-oh! It gives me
a quiver in my liver.

After all this happened,
I had this picture taken.

And I put it in a place
of honor in the museum.

Since the Dukes helped
save the museum..

Well, I figured they
belonged in there too.
