[both laughing]

- [chuckling]

You had me worried there for a minute.

Back in the train, I thought you--

- Don'’t think anymore.

Let'’s just be together and hope the Council leaves us alone.

- I'’ll make sure they do.

That'’s why you chose me, isn'’t it?

- No.

I chose you because you accept me for who I am and I--

- Yeah. - Yeah.

- So what do you wanna do tonight?

Dinner? Movie?

We could do anything you like.

We could even do one of those trigonometry marathons

that your dad likes to do.

- You decide.

I'’m done making decisions for today.

Surprise me.

- The Chosen One'’s tired of choosing, huh?

Dinner, movies, bowling.

Oh, wait.

We should probably dry off first, though.

- I got it.

[twinkling]

[fizzling]

Whoa.

That'’s weird.

- I think you should stop casting spells

until your strength comes back.

Don'’t worry, I got it.

[zapping]

What'’s the matter?

- Nothing.

I mean, I just hope Daniel'’s okay.

- Who?

- Don'’t.

Daniel and I have been through a lot together, and I...

want him to be happy.

- Okay.

That'’s nice of you and all,

but who'’s Daniel?

- Jax, come on.

He'’s probably really hurting right now.

- Who? - Daniel.

Daniel who?

- Really, Jax?

You'’re joking about this?

- No, I'’m serious.

I have no idea who you'’re talking about.

- Oh, no.

Jax, I need to go home,

now.

I'’ll call you.

[dramatic music]

- Hey, what up? Are you on your way?

- Yes.

No.

On my way where?

Andi, wait.

Have you talked to Daniel since,

you know, the whole choice thing?

- Who? - Daniel!

[scoffs]

Green eyes, brown hair,

best athlete in the school.

Captain of the Sharks?

- What?

No. Are you okay?

FRANCISCO: Emma! - I'’ll call you back.

- Emm, I just ordered a pizza.

Pepperoni and chocolate. You up for it?

- Dad, you know who Daniel is, right?

- Which one?

Daniel is a very popular name at Iridium High.

- The one who is always getting in trouble around you.

Daniel Miller!

The boy I'’ve dated for the past two years.

- Jax?

- This can'’t be happening.

[dramatic music]

- Where are you--

Emma!

[rings doorbell, knocks]

- Yes?

- Hi.

I...

I'’m looking for Daniel?

- Daniel!

The annoying girl from across the street is here.

- [mouthing words]

- ¿Qué?

- Hi.

Sorry, I--

I'’m looking for Daniel.

- I am Daniel. What do you want?

- You'’re Daniel?

No, I meant Daniel Miller.

The Millers?

They live here.

- We'’ve lived here for years.

There are no Millers here.

- This can'’t be happening.

- I told you not to give her any cookies.

- Shhhh.

- You feed them and they come back.

- Don'’t, don'’t, don'’t.

- Sanchez?

No.

No, no...

Daniel!

- What?

Dad, Dana, Diego...

No Daniel.

I need to know where he is in a snap,

locate Daniel on this map. [zapping]

[phone ringing]

- Emm, are you on your way or what?

I mean, Phillip'’s gonna leave soon,

and he wants to say good-bye.

- Phillip'’s what?

- Tell you when you get here, okay?

Hurry up.

Hey, Phillip, don'’t eat that!

It'’s cat food! - Andi, wait!

There'’s something--

Miller.

You'’ve known him since you were five.

Played with dump trucks together all the time.

- Daniel Miller.

Nope, doesn'’t ring a bell.

Hey, pass me that controller?

Phillip'’s gonna want to take it.

- Where'’s he going again?

- Silicon Valley.

To meet his real parents,

the developers who created "Zombie Apocalypse ."

- This is so weird.

And you'’re just letting him go?

Just like that?

- Yup.

Let'’s talk about this Daniel.

- Something strange is happening.

He'’s gone, and I am the only one that remembers him.

- Is he the only one missing?

- I don'’t know.

- Maybe other people are gone, too.

- Like who?

- No...

- Dude, you could knock!

- Um, excuse me!

- Oh, good.

- The Panthers.

Just saw Ursula down the hall.

- What'’s she talking about?

- Danny'’s missing.

- Who? - Your ex-boyfriend!

Daniel Miller!

- What?

- Don'’t worry, Proxy.

Emma'’s just saying that to make you jealous.

- Oh, I'’m not jealous.

- [crying] Okay.

The car'’s packed.

Maddie,

go say good-bye to your brother.

[uplifting music]

- Hello?

Is anybody home?

Aha, Junior.

How'’s it going? - So good!

Today I finished your history homework, your French essay,

and I'’ve almost finished your maths work.

Beautiful day. - Almost?

- Well, Principal Alonso is guest teaching this week.

He'’s got some real doozies!

His word problems are one-of-a-kind.

- Hey, Three.

Had a good day? - Yup!

Separated your closet into jet black,

midnight black, and super duper black.

- Ahh, good thinking!

- Jax, bro!

How'’d it go with Emma?

- Yeah, dude, it went well.

She chose us!

- All right!

[imitates expl*si*n]

It was weird, though.

Emma mentioned this other guy, Daniel--

- Jax, good Sir.

Thank goodness you'’ve arrived.

I tried to call you several times

on your mobile telephone.

- Oh, sorry, Five.

My phone got wet in the pool

and I haven'’t been able to fix it yet.

- I'’ll take care of that.

But I wanted to inform you

that your father tried to call the house.

- He did? What did he say?

- He said, "Jax, I'’m going to..."

And then he got called into a meeting,

and he hung up the mobile telephone.

- Oh. Well thanks, Five.

- Anytime, sir.

[upbeat music]

- I wonder what he was gonna say.

- Man, I hope Phillip doesn'’t get hungry in that plane.

That'’s a long trip,

stuck in a metal tube with a bunch of brains.

- Don'’t worry, I packed some pizza in his backpack.

Don'’t want him having a zombie flashback mid-flight.

- That was very amazing of you.

Letting him go.

- I just hope he'’ll be okay.

- He will be.

- Yeah, and he went from eating just brains,

to just pizza, to just pizza and nachos.

- He ate a tomato this morning.

[heartfelt music]

- Group hug!

- You can'’t be serious.

- I mean, Phillip is your brother.

- And Andi is your friend.

- Don'’t worry.

Zombie boy will be just fine.

- And I have no idea what happened to him.

It'’s like Daniel was wiped from existence or something.

- So you are saying that because you chose me

over this Daniel guy, that he just disappeared?

- I don'’t know!

But if I'’ve learned anything these last few years,

it'’s that anything'’s possible, right?

- Is this your elaborate way of trying to tell me something?

- No.

Daniel is real.

- Emma, I think you'’re just a little over-tired.

I mean, you'’ve seen the way that your spells

have come out lately, right?

I think you just need a little bit of rest and then--

- And everything will be better in the morning?

- Yes. Exactly.

- But I need to figure this out now!

Daniel could be somewhere...

I don'’t know, Limbo,

or the Abyss,

or someplace dangerous.

- Emma? - In here, Dad.

- Oh, how was your...

Jax.

- Principal Alonso.

- What have I told you about being here around dinner time?

- I...

I don'’t remember, exactly.

- To make sure that you'’re always here

so you can eat with us!

[both laughing] Funny!

- Actually, Dad, Jax and I were just talking--

- Oh, you'’re gonna love tonight'’s dinner.

"Spaghetti a la Alonso."

- [laughing]

- Jax, can we go outside and--

- Oh, but didn'’t you burn

the rest of the pots last night?

- [laughing] Oh, you'’re right.

- Dad, Jax! Could you please just...

- Wait. You'’re right.

It'’s gonna have to be a "Pizza a la Delivery."

- [laughing]

[zapping]

- Whoa!

Why did you just do that?

- Because!

I--I don'’t know what to do... about any of it!

- You should just probably unfreeze your dad.

[zapping] - Oh.

Oh, no.

[zapping]

- It'’s okay, it'’s okay.

Let me try.

[whizzing]

Oh, no.

You--you probably used a spell

that only the Chosen One can do.

I can'’t undo it.

It'’s okay.

It'’s okay...

don'’t worry about it.

We'’ll figure this out together, okay?

I promise.

- And what about my dad?

- Well...

I'’ll make sure nobody sees him until you get your powers back.

Don'’t worry.

I'’ve got this.

Just rest.

[grunts]

[sighs]

Junior!

- Yes? - I need matching shoes!

- Okay.

Jax Three!

Jax needs a pair of boots!

Matching!

THREE: On it!

- I needed to be at Emma'’s house ten minutes ago

to help her unfreeze her dad.

- I'’m sure it'’ll be fine.

Speaking of dads,

did Jax Five ever find out what dad was about to say

on the phone before he hung up?

- No, he didn'’t.

DAD: That better not have been a clone

I just heard.

- Dad.

What are you doing here?

- Conference ended early,

so I decided to come home and check up on things.

- Well, everything'’s just fine here, sir.

- Then why do you need clones to help you run the house?

- I thought you'’d be proud of me.

- Proud?

Of you being lazy and not learning the value

of a hard day'’s work?

- But I...

- Get rid of them.

Now.

- Yes, sir.

- So my dad was frozen all night like this.

And I finally got enough strength back

to unfreeze him this morning, but it drained me.

- Man!

I can'’t believe I missed seeing your dad like that.

FRANCISCO: Emm? Are you home?

- In here, Dad!

- I have a Big Brains meeting.

I'’ll be home in a couple hours.

- Okay, have fun!

- [groans]

- Hey, how are you feeling today?

You know, now that Phillip'’s gone?

- All right.

Whenever I get sad about it,

I just think of what they say

in "Zombie Apocalypse : Gross Gross Guts."

- Please tell me you'’re not taking life advice

from a zombie video game.

- "If you love someone, let them go.

"And if they come back and eat your brains,

it was meant to be."

- So you'’re just okay with him being gone.

Possibly never seeing him again.

I don'’t know if I could do it.

- Still thinking of this Daniel guy?

You know, I can see why Jax

isn'’t jumping for joy about this.

Don'’t tell him I said that.

- Wait--

Jax!

He was supposed to be here almost an hour ago.

- Look, we aren'’t gonna figure this out on our own.

This calls for an "A.S.O.D" meeting.

- A what?

And that'’s why we need your help.

- [laughs]

Girl has lost her mind!

- I thought you said it was gonna be

an "All Sharks On Deck" meeting!

- Diego and Sophie are a package deal

with Katie and Maddie.

- You?

And I?

Dated the same person?

[laughs]

Yeah, I don'’t think so.

You'’re just trying to get me in trouble with Proxy.

- [scoffs] What?

- No, no, guys, it'’s okay.

I'’m not-- I'’m not mad.

- Uh, you'’re not?

- No, of course not.

Not over an ex who doesn'’t exist.

[chuckles] Get it?

An "ex" who doesn'’t "ex"-ist?

[both laughing]

- Well, I believe you.

- You do?

- Yes!

And I want a non-existent ex-boyfriend too!

- He'’s not non-exist--

Non not-exist--

He exists!

And I need your help to figure out what happened.

- So come on, Sharks,

and Shark-related persons.

What do you say?

- [groans]

- We'’ll think about it.

- Well? What now?

- Well, I know you probably don'’t want to,

after everything you guys have been through,

but I really think you should ask the Council for help.

- I don'’t know.

They were pretty mad the last time I saw them.

- But if anyone knows what'’s going on, it'’s them.

- Yeah, you'’re probably right.

[upbeat music]

Well?

What do you think?

- Well, this is troubling.

- But makes perfect sense.

- It does?

- Yes.

You are most likely having a Power Outage.

- What?

- It'’s when a witch'’s powers grow

so quickly that she can'’t handle them.

It can cause memory loss, mood swings, hallucinations...

- Or, in your case,

imaginary boyfriends.

- I'’m not imagining Daniel!

Don'’t you remember

when you threatened to take my powers away if I chose Daniel?

When he helped us defeat Evil Me...

and Evil You?

- Whoa, whoa. Slow down, Emma.

Okay, tell us what happened right before

this "Daniel" disappeared.

- Two days ago,

I had to choose between Jax and Daniel.

I chose Jax, and right when I did,

he and I landed in the pool together.

After that, Daniel was...

gone.

- Fascinating.

But that is not what happened.

- Wait, so you do remember!

- Oh, we do-- we remember

that two days ago, you had to choose between Jax and us

as your Chosen One Advisors.

- And you chose Jax.

- A most rash and terrible decision.

In fact, your decision and the Power Outage

could be related.

- You'’re not going to help me.

- No.

You chose Jax as your Advisor.

He'’s going to have to be the one to help you.

[whooshing]

- Hey, ladies.

- Hey.

You okay? - Yeah.

Yeah, I just had a rough night last night.

Dad came home early from his trip.

- So?

- So he likes his house in a particular way,

and if it'’s not up to scratch,

then I have to stay up and fix it.

- I'’m sorry.

That sounds tough.

- I'’m okay, really. [phone beeps]

- Maddie...

wants us to meet the Panthers now.

I hope that means they wanna help!

[both laughing]

- So?

What'’s the verdict?

- Well, we'’ve talked about it,

and we decided...

it'’s just not possible.

- Really?

After everything we'’ve all been through,

you don'’t think it'’s possible?

- It'’s just that if Daniel was such a big part of our lives,

one of us would'’ve remembered something about him.

- I do.

I remember everything!

The first time we met, on my first day at school?

He gave me a tour.

- Yeah, that happened,

but he didn'’t give you the tour.

[mysterious music]

- Where did you come from?

- Excuse me.

- Oh!

- I'’m sorry, I--

I didn'’t mean to startle you.

Emma, right?

You'’re new.

- How'’d you know?

- Well, it says "Emma Alonso, new student"

on your registration form.

- Right.

- Plus, I'’m assigned

to show you around school today.

I'’m Jax.

- Wait, so you remember that happening,

but you'’re saying it was with you, and not Daniel?

- Yeah, it was me.

- And the principal

kidnapping Daniel to get to me.

- Kidnapping Jax to get to you.

- I...

I can'’t believe this.

- I can'’t believe you'’re going along with this.

I mean, she replaced you in all her memories

with some random guy!

- It was a Power Outage, like I said.

- Oh, oh, you mean like the Council said.

- I was going to say something!

I was--I was just busy-- - I don'’t have time for this.

Panthers, let'’s go!

[upbeat music]

- It'’s more likely you'’re having a Power Outage.

- "More likely," meaning that

it could be something else, though, right?

- Well, it could be a Continuum Break.

- Ooh, I like the sound of that.

Go on.

- It only happens to Chosen Ones.

They'’re the only ones powerful enough to alter reality,

and you did.

- Twice.

Okay.

- So, if this Daniel did exist,

when you chose someone else,

he probably just got bumped into an alternate life.

- Awesome!

- Continuum Breaks are very rare.

We studied them at the Academy.

- The what? The Academy?

So cool!

Where is it? How do I apply?

Cause I--

Sorry.

Go on.

We'’ll circle back to that later.

- So if it is a Continuum Break, how do I bring Daniel back?

- You don'’t.

- What? Why?

- It'’s too dangerous.

No one'’s ever really succeeded.

You'’d have to find him and get him to remember this life.

Not the one he'’s in now, but the one you remember.

- That doesn'’t sound so difficult.

- It is.

Once you break the Continuum again,

you only have five days to get this Daniel

to remember his old life, or else...

- Or else what?

Lily! Or what?

[dramatic music]

- How'’s your day going, Billy?

[groans]

Another beautiful day in a sanctuary, eh?

[upbeat pop music]
