Today is Darington'’s birthday.

getting the garage ready

for his big birthday party.

[engine revs]

[yelps]

[thuds]

- Darington?

- Present.

[laughter]

Well, this is it.

I'’ve got everything I need

to make this
the best birthday party ever!

on the donkey!

[festive musical flourish]

- This is gonna be some party,
Darington.

You still haven'’t seen
the best part.

Presenting the one thing

that no birthday party
can do without.

It'’s delicious.

It'’s covered in frosting.

- Uh, Darington,
I don'’t see a cake.

[gasps]

But I can'’t have a birthday
party without a cake!

- Don'’t worry, Darington.

I almost forgot.

finish getting the party ready

[engine revs]

[rock music]

There'’s the bakery.

And that must be Darington'’s
birthday cake.

- Well, fellas,
here it is.

- That'’s the biggest cake
I'’ve ever seen.

- [sniffs]

And it smells delicious.

Darington'’s gonna love it.

- [laughs]

All this cake needs now
are candles.

[laughs]

bring me that cake!

[robo-plate whirring]

Come on, robo-plate.

Fly faster!
[button beeps]

[electricity sizzles]

[both scream]

Time to get back
to Darington'’s birthday

with his big, yummy...

[robo-plate whirring]

- Oh, no!

The cake is flying away.

- Stop, cake!

I want to eat you!

- Hubcaps!

Crusher'’s trying to get it.

- But that cake
is for Darington'’s birthday.

- Come on, A.J.

We'’ve gotta catch that cake
before Crusher.

- Follow that cake!

[upbeat music]

[scoffs]

I don'’t have time for mail.

I'’ve got a cake to eat!

- Crusher!
- Crusher!

- Crusher!

- Oh!

Look, Crusher, it'’s Blaze!

- Crusher!

We need that cake!

- Boy!

He must really like cake.

- Aww.
But I want the cake.

I can'’t let Blaze get it!

[laughs]

Good thing
I know how to stop him.

bumper bots!

[bumper bots chattering,
bouncing]

[laughs]

Looks like Blaze is
in for one bumpy ride!

[laughs]

- Blaze!
Watch out!

bouncing]

[both yelp]

- [screams]

- Man, those bumper bots
can really bump.

How are we gonna get past '’em?

- There'’s only one way

we'’re gonna b*at
those bumper bots.

We'’ve gotta bump them harder
than they bump us.

- Yeah!

We can bump them away with...

kinetic energy.

Kinetic energy

is the energy something has
when it'’s moving.

The bumper bots
have a lot of kinetic energy

because of
how fast they'’re moving.

And when they bump into us,

all that energy
knocks us backwards.

But if Blaze
can drive fast enough,

he'’ll get more kinetic energy
than the bumper bots.

And then, boom!

He can bump them backwards.

- So come on!

Let'’s bump those bots.

[engine revs]

- Check it out, Blaze.

- Yeah!

- Sorry, Pickle,

but the only thing I want
is to eat that cake.

[robo-plate whirring]

what I'’m gonna do!

[tires screech]

[laughs]

- Uh, Crusher?

- [laughs]

Blaze is back!

to stop him.

This ought to do it.

[laughing]

- Nothing'’s gonna stop us
from getting that--

Look out!

[tires screech]
- Whoa!

Lug nuts!

Where did this wall come from?

- [laughs]

Like it?

Now, if you'’ll excuse me,

that cake'’s
not gonna eat itself!

- Oh, no!

We can'’t let Crusher
eat Darington'’s cake.

We'’ve got to break down
this wall.

- Only a powerful machine

could knock down a wall
this strong.

We need a crawler crane
with a wrecking ball.

- Yeah!

When a crawler crane

swings a heavy
steel wrecking ball,

it gets so much kinetic energy

that it can smash through stuff.

- Come on.

Let'’s make the parts to turn me

into a wrecking ball
crawler crane.

First, we need
the crawler treads.

They move the crane
to help keep it steady.

To make the treads,
say "treads."

Treads!

Next we need the lattice boom.

That'’s the part that lifts
and swings the wrecking ball.

To make the lattice boom,

Lattice boom!

Now all we need
is a heavy wrecking ball

to smash through the wall.

To make the wrecking ball,

Whoo-hoo!

I'’m a crawler crane

Monster Machine!

- Whoa!

Looking good, Blaze!

[tires squeal]

Now, to knock down that wall,

we need to
swing our wrecking ball

with a kinetic energy of .

[robo-plate whirring]

[birds squawking]

- [moans]

ready to open some mail?

[robo-plate whirring]

- Wait a second.

That'’s the same cake!

- Huh!

So then what did you catch?

[reel ratcheting]

- Aha!

- The woodpecker!

- [laughs]

- [grunts]
- [pecking]

- Hey, stop it!

- [pecking, laughing]

- [grumbles]

[horn honks]

- Oh!

Here comes Blaze again!

- What?

- Boy, he must really, really,

reallylike cake.

- Oh, no.
No, no, no!

I cannot let Blaze
b*at me to that cake!

Ooh!
I know.

I'’ll build something
to stop him.

A super slippery ice machine!

[ice machine clanking,
Crushes laughs]

Blaze will never catch up

with super slippery
ice everywhere!

[ice machine hisses]

[ice crackling]

- Whoa!

both: Whoa!

- Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!

[grunts, thuds]

- Too bad, Blaze!

Looks like your chances
to get that cake

are slipping away!

[laughing]
"Slipping away"?

Slipping on ice?

[laughs]

- Wha-ah-ah!

[thuds]

- Oh, no!

This ice is super slippery.

We can'’t move forward.

- To keep moving,
we need kinetic energy.

- I know.

What if we find someone
with kinetic energy

who could bump into us?

- Yeah!

Then their energy
would go to us,

and we'’d go forward
across the ice.

- Hmm.

But who could bump us

and give us
kinetic energy?

[sheep bleats]

both: A bighorn!

- Those guys love bumping.

- Hey, bighorn!

Down here!

- Baa?

- Come and bump us!

- Baa!

- Here he comes!

- Baa-ha-ha-ha!

- Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

It worked!

- When the bighorn bumped us,

his energy went into Blaze

and made us move forward.

- But it wasn'’t enough to get us
all the way across the ice.

We need more kinetic energy.

[sheep bleats]

- Hey!

I hear another bighorn.

- Help us look for him.

Where do you see a bighorn?

Behind those rocks!

- Baa!

- Yoo-hoo!

Bighorn!

- Come bump us!

- Baa-ha-ha-ha-ya-ha!
[laughing]

- Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- All right!

Look, Blaze!

There'’s the cake.

- Almost had it.
[robo-plate whirring]

I almost had it!

- We'’ve gotta hurry

before Crusher
takes Darington'’s cake.

- We just need a little more
kinetic energy.

[sheep bleats]

- Listen!

That sounds like
another bighorn.

Where do you see a bighorn?

There it is!
In those bushes!

- [laughs]

- Oh, bighorn!

Come and get us!

- We need all the kinetic energy
you'’ve got!

- Baa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

[both shouting]

- Whee-hee-hee-hee!

This is it.

I'’m finally gonna get
that big, delicious--

[horn honking]

- Whoo-hoo!

- [screams]

[splats]

[tires screech]
- We got it!

- We saved the birthday cake.

- [sobs]

I wanted to eat that cake.
[sobs]

- Crusher,
this cake isn'’t for me.

It'’s for Darington'’s
birthday.

- Yeah.

It'’s birthday cake.

- His birthday cake?

Oh.
[scoffs]

I didn'’t know.

Sorry about that.

- It'’s okay, Crusher.

- I mean, even I wouldn'’t eat

someone else'’s birthday cake.

Even though
I really wanted to.

- Hey, Crusher,

maybe now'’s a good time
to open that mail.

- Eh, sure.

[gasps]

[cheers and applause]

- Ha-ha!

[noisemaker blows]

- Yeah!

- [yells]

[laughs]

Dude, this is wicked fun!

[upbeat music]

[pin jabs]
- Ow!

- [laughs]
