- Aha!

Mr. Sparks:
It was a hot day,

and my crew was taking turns
on Benny's new Bubble Bouncer.

- Let's go!

Whoa!
- Whoo-hoo!

[both laugh]

- This might be the best thing
you've ever bubbled up, Benny.

- Thanks, yeah,
it took a lot of bubbles,

but it was totally worth it.

- But soon the weather would
take a turn for the worse.

- [squeaks]

[eerie music]

- It looks like a storm
is coming.

We'd better get inside.
Vámonos.

♪ ♪

- There's lots
of dark clouds now.

- I only hope we don't get a...
[all scream]

Thunderstorm!

Too loud.
[panting]

[sighs]

- [squeaks]
- Aww.

Don't worry, Fur Blur.
You're safe in here.

- It's a good thing
we came inside when we did.

- Do you think your
Bubble Bouncer will be okay?

- Pfft, a little rain
won't hurt my bubbles.

- [gasps]
That is not rain!

- It looks like...white rocks.

- What?
- Rocks falling from the sky?

- [gasps]
My Bubble Bouncer!

- Uh-oh!
- Oh, no!

Mr. Sparks: This was
no ordinary weather.

It came on quick,

but, before long, it was gone,

and so was
Benny's Bubble Bouncer.

- Aw, how could this happen?

My bubbles are
usually pretty strong.

- Yeah, but those sky rocks
must have been stronger.

- [squeaks]

- Wait, these aren't rocks.
They're freezing cold.

These are balls of ice!
all: Ice?

- So ice just fell
from the sky?

- Sí, it's called hail.

Not the kind of weather
you see every day.

- I've never seen hail before.

- Ooh, I have in a comic book.

See?
That's Hail Caesar.

He's a hero who saves the day

by blasting hail
from his hands.

- Maybe we can ask him
about hail.

- Sí, oh, talking to an expert
is a great idea.

Why don't we call him
with the hero signal?

then Atheltica--

oh, Hail Caesar!

[hopeful music]

I love when I get to do that.

- Look!
- Whoa.

[exciting music]

- Whoa!

- [whinnies]

- Hail, young heroes!
It is I, Hail Caesar!

- [whinnies]

- And my trusty steed,
Spotacus!

- [whinnies]
- Thank you for coming.

My students wanted
to ask you about hail.

- My favorite subject!

I see you've had
some hail here already.

- Yes, um, did all this
come from you?

- [laughs]
Great Caesar salad, no.

These frozen beauties
must have come from the sky.

- But it's not winter.

- The weather may be warm,
but up high in the clouds,

it is cold enough to make
ice fall during a thunderstorm.

- Wait, you're saying balls
of ice can fall from the sky

on a hot day?

- Yes.
Isn't that amazing?

Hail is not what you expect.

And neither am I.

Hail, hail, hail!
[sighs]

- Hey, I can do that too,
only with bubbles.

Bubble, bubble, bubble!

[tense music]

[sighs]

- [cackles]
I like your style.

- Huh?
- The Sparkinator!

- There must be trouble.

- Help, I can't get out!

- Uh-oh, looks like the hail
caused a problem

at that café too.

- Then I shall save the day.
- And so shall we!

- Bueno, who's the crew
who knows what to do?

[dramatic musical sting]

Sparks' Crew to the rescue!

- And Hail Caesar too!
[whistles]

Come along, Spotacus!
- [whinnies]

[exciting music]

[grunts]

Hail, madame!
I am here to save the day.

- Us too!

- I can't open the door
because of all the hail.

- I shall solve this problem
the Hail Caesar way!

[hopeful music]

- Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!

Making more hail isn't helping.

- But, uh, hail is the only way
I know to solve problems.

- There are other ways too.

What if we use our...

all:
Superpowers of Science!

- Ah, yes.
I've heard of those.

Please continue.

- Let's start by understanding
what the problem is.

- Okay, hmm.

The hail is making the awning
droop down really low.

- Seems like hail
can be pretty heavy,

and the more hail there is,
the heavier it is.

- And the lower
the awning droops.

- So now we need a plan
to solve the problem.

- Alas, if only I had
the power to un-hail!

- Maybe you do.

Maybe we can all un-hail

and take the hail out
of the awning piece by piece.

- Ah, a fine plan.

- Let's do this!

[upbeat music]

- Oh, my!
- [cackles]

I came, I saw, I saved the day!

- Thank you all.

- Now let's move this hail
out of the way.

[mischievous music]

- Oh, no, this is terrible!

- Hark, the sound
of someone in distress!

- We should go help.

- You go ahead.
We'll catch up to you.

- [whistles]
Come along, Spotacus!

- [whinnies]

- Non sequitur!
- [whinnies]

[dramatic music]

- [grunts, laughs]
Hail, fine sir.

- We are here to--
- Great Caesar salad!

What has happened
to your chariot?

- Uh, you mean my car?
The hail dented it.

- Hail did this?

- Then I shall solve this
problem, the Hail Caesar way!

[hopeful music]

- Wait, stop!
No, no, no, no, no!

More hail
just makes more dents.

- Oh, right, right.
Sorry, sorry.

- Maybe our Superpowers
of Science

can solve this problem too.

- Yes, a fine idea.

- Okay, first, let's
understand the problem.

Hail has made some
serious dents in this car.

- Looks like hail is so strong,
it can do real damage.

- Indeed, for hail is mighty
and can be dangerous.

- So now we need
to come up with a plan

to solve this problem.

- Ooh, what if I just
make you a new chariot?

Like this!
Ha, ha, go me.

- Uh, no, thanks.

Uh, I think I'll stick
with my actual working car.

- Uh-oh?

- There's got to be
something we can do.

- Alas!

If only there was a way
to un-dent the car.

- Hmm, maybe there is!

AJ, maybe we can un-dent it
with your Rope Launcher.

- Great plan!
Let's test it out.

[playful music]

[groans]

- Smooth.
Oh, thank you.

- It's working!

- We've got
another hail emergency.

Meet us at Mr. Quiver's house.
- We're on our way.

- AJ, you got this?
- Yes, I'll meet you there.

- [whistles]
Come along, Spot--ah!

- Wait, I'll show you the way!

[tense music]

- Spotacus!
[grunts]

Hail, friends!
- What's wrong?

- It's Mr. Quiver's dog, Bitsy.

- We were outside
when the sky grew dark.

I thought it was going
to rain, but--

- But it was
no ordinary weather?

- Well, that's right!
It was thunder and hail!

It was so loud, Bitsy ran away
and hid in her dog house.

- Seems like going inside is
the safest thing to do

when it hails.

- But now she's so scared,
she won't come out!

- [barks]
- Aww, poor itty bitty Bitsy!

- Stand back!

I shall solve this problem
the Hail Caesar way--

- Wait, you're not going
to blast hail again, are you?

- No, I thought I'd try using

the Superpowers of Science
this time.

Let's understand the problem.

- Okay, well, thunder and hail
can be scary

to some animals like Bitsy.

- So we have to get her out of
there without scaring her more.

- What we need is a plan
to solve this problem.

If only we could un-scare her.

- Maybe we can
make her feel less afraid.

Oh, Mr. Quivers, does Bitsy
have a favorite toy?

- Yes!
Oh, her kitty.

- [barks]

- Look, Bitsy,
your favorite kitty.

Ooh!
Ooh, lookie, lookie.

It's okay.
You can come out.

- Ooh, it's working.

- Ooh, yeah.
That's it.

There's no more loud noises
to scare you now.

[suspenseful music]

- Non sequitur!

- [gasps]
- Oh, no!

- Bubble up!
- [barks]

- It's okay, girl.
I've got you.

[chuckles]
- Way to go!

- Yeah!
- Nice save, Benny!

- [giggles]
Oh, Bitsy, I love you!

- Well done, my friend.

Your bubble power reminds me
of me and my hail power.

Maybe someday you'll show me

what else you can do
with bubbles.

- How about right now?

Mr. Sparks: So whether
the weather is ordinary

or whether the weather is not,
you can always count

on Sparks' Crew to weather
the weather together.

Mr. Sparks: It was Picture Day
at Hero Elementary,

and my students
were suiting up at home

to look their heroic best.

- [spits]

[upbeat music]

- Hmm...

Aha!

- Ah, buenos días.

You're all here
bright and early

and looking super
for Picture Day.

- [squeaks]
- Aw.

Fur Blur's ready
for the class picture too.

- We already know what
our first mission is

for today, Mr. Sparks.

- What's that?

- Keep our hero suits clean
until picture time.

- Ah, yes, that is
a fun challenge.

- Yep, today we're
gonna be careful

not to make any mess at all.

[all gasping]

Phew, sorry.
I'll clean up this mess.

- Ooh, uh, did I hear
someone say

there was a mess to clean up?

- Hi, Mr. Whistle!
I was just about to--

- [whistles]
Oh!

You don't wanna get near that,
not on Picture Day.

Don't you worry.

I'll get this mess cleaned up
in a jiffy.

[whistles]

Clean as a whistle.
- Gracias, Mr. Whistle.

- Is there anything we can
help you with to say thanks?

- A wonderful idea!

We still have some time
before we start class.

- All right, walk this way.
[whistles]

[all whistling]

- I'll see you back here soon.

And remember to stay clean!

- Now every morning
around this time,

I put up the school flag.

- We could help with that.

- Careful, the rain last night
left some mud puddles.

- Oh, no!
[grunts]

I got dirty already.
I got to clean my shoe.

[whimpers]

- Picture Day is
always interesting.

- Um, what's the rope for,
Mr. Whistle?

- I use it
to make the flag go

up or down the pole.

Who wants to try?
- Oh, I do!

- Here, give it a pull.

- [grunts]
Huh?

I pulled the rope up,
but the flag went down.

- So then, how do you think
you can make the flag go up?

- By pulling down?

- Go on.
Give it a try.

- [grunts, gasps]

It works!
- Whoa, whoa, whoa.

You pull the rope down
to make the flag go up?

Weird.

- But the school flag
sure looks nice up there.

Mr. Whistle: [whistles]
It is a beauty!

[The Sparkinator beeping]
- The Sparkinator!

- Uh-oh!
There must be trouble.

- Help, I'm stuck!
Benny: It's Mr. Quivers.

Lucita: Looks like he could use
some heroic help!

- Well, who's the Crew
who knows what to do?

[dramatic musical sting]

all: Sparks' Crew

- So my students rushed off
to save the day...

but could they save the day
without getting dirty?

- Don't worry, Mr. Quivers.

AJ: Watch out!
Mud!

- [barks]
- Oh, my sweetie.

It's okay, Bitsy.
Daddy's right here.

- Nice wheels, Mr. Quivers.

- [gasps]
What happened to your foot?

- Oh, I broke it,

and until it heals,
I have to use this scooter.

But I got it stuck in this mud.
See?

[playful music]

- [yelps]
Phew.

- Fear not.

We shall get you safely out
of this menacing messy muck!

all: Huh?
- You know, this mud puddle.

- Hmm.

I bet we can figure it out

- Let's start
by asking questions.

- I've got one.

How are we going to get
Mr. Quivers out of the mud

and still stay clean
for Picture Day?

- Well, I would just
lift him out of the mud,

but I'd get pretty dirty.

- We need a plan.
Hmm.

Maybe you could use
your super strength

to pull Mr. Quivers out
of the mud using Bitsy's leash.

Sara:
Ooh, good plan, Lucita.

- Don't worry, Bitsy.

We'll have him out of there
in no time.

- Um, all right, but
do you think this will work?

- No prob.
I got this.

On three.
One, two, three.

[grunts]
Whoa!

Whoa!

Phew, that was a close one.

- Looks like
we need a new plan.

- And a new leash.

- I guess your little leash

just wasn't
strong enough, Bitsy.

- Maybe we need
to use something stronger

like a rope.

- Hmm, we can use the rope
from my Rope Launcher!

- Hey, yeah, let's test it out
and see if it works.

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

- Ready, Mr. Quivers?
- Ready!

- One, two, three!

[grunts]
- Sara, stop!

Oh, he's just getting deeper
into the mud.

- Oh my, oh my!
Oh, here we go again!

- [whimpers]
- Don't worry, Bitsy..

We'll figure this out.
We just need another plan.

AJ: What about this?
Thought projecting!

When Sara pulled the scooter
through the mud,

he just got more stuck.

But what if we pulled it up,
away from the mud?

- That sounds like
a great plan, AJ!

- Let's test it out!

[hopeful music]

- One, two, three!

[grunting]

- I'll help you pull.
[both grunt]

both: Whoa!
- Oh, no!

[both scream]
- Uh-oh!

both: Whoa!
- Bubble up!

- Ooh!
- Oh!

Well, keeping clean today
is harder than I thought!

- Looks like we need
another plan.

- Well, it seems like
pulling up could have worked

if we were strong enough.

- Can we think of any other way
to pull his scooter up?

- That is a toughie.

- Wait, remember when

Mr. Whistle showed us
the school flag?

We had to pull the rope down
to make the flag go up.

- Oh, yeah!
How'd that work anyway?

- I know how to find out!

Let's go back to school
and investigate the flagpole.

- And we'll stay
with Mr. Quivers.

And itty bitty Bitsy.
- [barks]

- Hurry back!

[exciting music]

♪ ♪

- Whoa, why'd there have to
be so much mud on Picture Day?

- Okay, so what do we notice
about this flagpole?

- Well, it has the coolest flag
ever at the top.

- And there are two ropes.

When I pull this rope up, the
rope with the flag goes down,

but when I pull down,
the flag goes up.

Sara: Huh, why does it work
like that?

- Hmm...hey.

Do you notice something
up at the top of the pole?

- Yeah, what is that?
- Let's see.

Huh, it's some sort
of wheel thingy.

Oh, wait,
there's not two ropes.

It's just one long rope
that goes up, over the wheel,

and down the other side.

Sara, pull the rope down.

It looks like the wheel
is helping the rope move.

When one part of the rope
goes down,

the other side with the flag
goes up!

I'll take a picture.
Wait until everybody sees this!

Come on!

- Hey, AJ, did you
find anything

that could get me out of here?

- We might have.

- The flagpole has
a wheel thingy

and a rope that goes over it.

Look!
AJ: Ooh, that's a pulley.

I use them
in my gadgets sometimes.

See, the wheel helps
the rope move.

- Ah, when you pull down
on the string,

the pulley makes
the toothbrush go up.

- I want a toothbrush
like that!

- You know what this means?

- AJ has the cleanest teeth
in town?

- And maybe this pulley
could help us

pull Mr. Quivers up
out of the mud.

- But I don't think the wheel
in my toothbrush pulley

is big enough
to hold that rope.

- So where are we gonna get
a wheel thingy

that is big enough?

all:
Hmm.

- [gasps]
I think I know!

Maybe we can use
one of those wheels!

- Great plan, Lucita!
- Let's test it out.

- Oh, yes, please get me back
to my Bitsy.

[exciting music]

♪ ♪

- Okay, team,
if this pulley works,

we should be able to pull down
to lift Mr. Quivers up.

- [barks]
- Aw.

Bitsy wants to help too!

- Ready?
On three.

One...
- Oh, I hope this works.

- Two...
- It's gotta work.

- Three.
[all groan]

- Okay, here we go.
Slow down, please.

[all groan]

Oh, look at that.
I'm out!

- We did it!
- Hooray!

- Oh, I'm happy too, Bitsy.

Thank you, Sparks' Crew.

- Yup, just doing
our heroic duty, sir.

- And somehow we managed to
stay clean for Picture Day!

- Well, time to go home, Bitsy.

Bye-bye, kids.
Pedal to the metal!

[groan]

- Um, Mr. Sparks?

- Class, your hero suits!
- We know.

We saved the day
for Mr. Quivers,

but ruined our clothes
for Picture Day.

- Well, you know, sometimes
being a hero can be messy work.

I think you look perfect
for your pictures!

It shows what true heroes
you all are.

Now who's ready
for our class picture?

- I am!
- Me!

- Fantástico.

- [whistles]

- Some rescues can be
a dirty job,

but when you pull together
as a team,
