Well, hello there!

It's me, mr. Grouper.

Happy holidays!

Arf!

Oh, the holiday season
is my favorite time of year.

Arf arf!

Oh! You too,
bubble puppy?

I love the holidays!

But you know,

I know a story
about somebody

Who didn't like
the holidays at all!

(Whines)

Mm-hmm, it's true.

Would you like to hear
the story?

Arf!

Would you like to hear
the story?

Well okay,
I'll tell you.

Once upon a time,

At this very same time
of year...

(Bubble pops)

Little fish:
happy holidays, mr. Grumpfish!

(Sleigh bells jingle)

Mr. Grouper:
it was the morning
of the big holiday party,

And everyone in town
was excited and ready.

Presents were being delivered,

Holiday cards were being
handed out,

And a real feeling
of holiday excitement

Was in the air.

The fire department
was excited,

The police department
was excited,

The mayor, the baker,

And even the candy cane maker,

Everyone was excited,

And getting ready for the big
holiday party that night.

* Everyone's so super busy

* Making all their
special plans *

* Shopping for a special
dinner *

* I'll try to lend a hand

* Getting cookies and candles
and a great big tree *

Gil: * can I see?
Molly: * not yet!

* Is there something
for me? *

* I can't wait
until tonight *

* Decorations
shining bright *

* Everybody sing as one

* Join hands!
Sing songs! *

* Give gifts!
Come along! *

* Dress the tree!
Light the lights! *

* Come with me!

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

Molly:
* yeah, sing along!

All:
* fa-la-la-la
la-la-la-la-la *

* Fa-la-la-la
la-la-la-la *

* Fa-la-la-la
la-la-la-la-la *

* Fa-la-la-la
la-la-la *

* Everyone is showing up

* Everyone is coming home

* Flying, driving,
walking, riding, *

* From wherever
they did roam *

* There's uncles and aunts
and grandfolks too *

* And mom and dad

* And anybody who we call
friends and family *

* And together
we sing as one! *

* Join hands!
Sing songs! *

* Give gifts!
Come along! *

* Dress the tree!
Light the lights! *

* Come with me!

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

* Yeah, sing along!

* Fa-la-la-la
la-la-la-la-la *

* Fa-la-la-la
la-la-la-la *

Mr. Grouper:
and although everybody in town
was cheerful and excited,

There was somebody
who wasn't happy at all.

And his name
was mr. Grumpfish.

Good morning, mr. Grumpfish!

Happy holidays!

What's so good about it?

See what I mean?

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

(Bell chimes)

Little fish:
it's nine o'clock!

(Horn beeps)

Good morning, gilly.

How are you?

Great! I only have one more
holiday card to deliver!

Who's it for?

It's for...

Molly and gil:
(gasp) mr. Grumpfish?

Oh no, mr. Grumpfish!

He doesn't like
anything!

Well, he might be happy
to get a card.

Come on,
I'll go with you.

Bubble puppy:
arf!

(Knocking)

What do you want?

Molly and gil:
happy holidays!

Card for you,
mr. Grumpfish!

I don't like cards!

(Bubble puppy whines)

Told you.

He doesn't seem
very happy.

I wonder if there's
something we could do

To cheer him up.

Come on, gilly!

Yeah, yeah,
just a little bit higher.

And over...
And a little lower,

Oh! Perfect, perfect!

Right there!
Right there, goby!

That looks great, goby!

Molly and gil:
good morning!

Hi!

Good morning, guys!

Happy holidays!

How's the card and present
delivering going?

Well, we just tried to deliver
a card to mr. Grumpfish,

But he didn't seem
very happy about it.

He said he doesn't
like cards!

That's so sad.

He can be pretty grumpy.

Yeah, I wish we could do
something to cheer him up!

Goby:
maybe the big holiday
party tonight

Will make him feel better.

I can't wait for tonight!

(Bell chimes)

What time is it now,
mayor grouper?

Let's take a look!

Which number
is the little hand

Of the clock pointing to?

Little fish:
eleven!

Right, that means
it's eleven o'clock!

And when the little hand goes
all the way around the clock

And gets to the eight,

It'll be time
for the party!

Then we get to open
presents!

And sing songs!

And eat cookies!

And light the lights!

Oh, putting up lights

Is one of my favorite
holiday traditions!

What's a tradition?

A tradition
is something we do

To celebrate a special day.

Like a holiday?

That's right!

Having a holiday party
is a tradition too!

Mm-hmm!

It's nice to be together
during the holidays.

What are some other traditions,
mayor grouper?

Well, let's think about it.

What are some other
holiday traditions?

One holiday tradition

Is to give our friends
and family...

Presents!

Right! Presents!

I like presents!

Another holiday tradition
is to hang twinkling...

Lights!

That's right!

And another tradition
is to bake and decorate...

Cookies.

Mmm! Cookies!

Cookies?

Cookies!

Cookies! Cookies!
Cookies!

Whoa-ho!
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

What's the matter,
deema?

Oh, I have so many
cookies to bake

Before the holiday party
tonight!

I'm never going
to be done on time!

I'll help you, deema.

You will?

Sure! I love cookies!

(Gasp)
cookieeeees!

(All laugh)

Come on,
let's go to the bakery!

Bubble puppy:
arf! Arf!

Deema:
cookies!

Whew! Thank goodness
you're here!

What can I do to help?

Well, I'm making special
holiday cookie clocks

For the party tonight,

But some of them
are missing numbers!

Uh-oh,
here come the cookies!

We need to make sure
they have all of the numbers.

Help me count the numbers
on the clock.

Ready? One...

Two...

Three!

What number comes
after three?

Four!

Four! Right!

Here's another one!

This cookie clock
is missing two numbers!

Help me count the numbers
on the clock.

One, two,

Three, four,

Five, six,

What number comes
after six?

Seven!

Right!

Let's keep counting!

Eight, nine...

Ten!

Right!

Hey, but there's still
something missing!

Yeah, this cookie clock
doesn't have any hands!

Let's set the time
for eight o'clock.

The big hand goes here,

Pointing to the twelve.

And the little hand points
to the number eight.

Where's the number eight?

The eight is right here!

Right!

And...finished!

Eight o'clock!

That's what time
the party is tonight!

Thanks!

You're welcome!

And thank you
for your help!

Bubble puppy:
arf arf!

Excuse me,
what time is it?

(Bell chimes)

Gil:
it's one o'clock!

And?

Gil, oona, and nonny:
it's time for lunch!

* What time is it?

All:
* it's time for lunch!

* What time is it?

All:
* it's time for lunch!

Mayor grouper:
* what time is it?

All:
* it's time for lunch!

Mayor grouper:
* it's lunch time!

All:
* hey, what's for lunch?

What did you get
for lunch, oona?

Mmm! I got soup.

With matzoh balls.

What did you get, gil?

I got spaghetti
and meatballs.

What did you get, nonny?

I got spaghetti and...

Snowballs?

(Oona, nonny, and gil laugh)

Little fish:
spaghetti and snowballs!

That's silly!

I don't like silly.

Little fish:
eek!

Goby:
all finished!

Molly:
they look great, goby!

Goby:
thanks! Let's test them.

Okay!

Turn them on, please!

All:
wow! Oooh!
They're so pretty!

(Clapping)

What do you think,
mr. Grumpfish?

Aren't they pretty?

I don't like pretty.

Molly:
don't forget about the party
tonight, mr. Grumpfish!

It's at eight o'clock!

I don't like parties.

But mr. Grumpfish-

I don't like lights,

I don't like parties,

I don't like the holidays!

(Door slams)

He sure is grumpy!

Poor mr. Grumpfish!

We've got to do something
to cheer him up!

He doesn't like anything.

What can we do?

Let's go ask
mayor grouper.

He'll know what to do.

Come on!

(Humming)

(Knocking)

Come in!

Mayor grouper?

Well hello, everybody!

What's the matter?

It's mr. Grumpfish.

He's really grumpy!

He doesn't like anything!

And he said he doesn't
like the holidays!

There's got to be
something

About the holidays
that he likes!

Mr. Grouper:
well, let's see.

I'm sure we can come up
with something.

Look, everyone!

It's mr. Grumpfish!

Where?

Molly:
right here, in the picture!

Goby:
is that mr. Grumpfish?

Deema:
it is him!

And he's...smiling!

Yeah!

He looks really happy!

And look at that!

That's a gingerbread
house!

Maybe he likes
gingerbread houses.

That's it!
That's what we'll do!

Let's make mr. Grumpfish
a gingerbread house!

Cool.

That's a great idea!

Guppies:
yeah! Let's do it!
Sweet idea!

We're going to make
mr. Grumpfish the biggest,

Most beautiful gingerbread
house he's ever seen!

Deema, you bake
the gingerbread.

And make a lot!

You got it!

Nonny, we're going to need
lots of candy to decorate.

I'll make the biggest
candy canes you've ever seen.

Plus gumdrops.

And we're going
to need frosting,

To hold it all together.

Marshmallow frosting!

Guppies:
yeah!

Uh-oh!

Guppies:
what? What is it?
What's wrong?

There's only one place
to get marshmallow frosting.

Marshmallow mountain!

Goby:
okay, so let's go
to marshmallow mountain.

But that's where
the abominable snowman lives!

Guppies:
the abominable snowman?

What does abominable mean?

It means bad.

Uh-oh!

That's right!

The marshmallow frosting
is guarded

By the abominable snowman!

Why?
Does it belong to him?

No,
it belongs to everybody,

But he wants to keep it
all for himself.

Rude!

But we need frosting

If we're going to make
a gingerbread house.

We're just going to have
to go get it!

Abominable snowman
or not!

Guppies:
yeah!

(Bell chimes)

Now what time is it,
mayor grouper?

Mayor grouper:
it's three o'clock!

We better get going!

I'm coming with you!

Me too!

Let's go!

Marshmallow patrol,
ready for action!

Let's go get that
marshmallow frosting!

Gil: good luck!
Mayor grouper: and be careful!

Mr. Grouper:
and so the marshmallow
patrol set off

For the top of marshmallow
mountain.

Goby:
we're almost at the top!

Look! Up ahead!

Molly:
just keep an eye out
for the abominable snowman.

Mmm!
We found it!

This is marshmallow
frosting!

Mr. Grouper:
when suddenly...

Abominable snowman:
mine!

All:
uh-oh!

It's the abominable
snowman!

Mine!

Let's get out of here!

(Truck rumbles)

Mr. Grouper:
so, the marshmallow patrol
drove away

From the abominable snowman
as fast as they could!

Is he following us?

I don't see him.

Look! Up ahead!

(Marshmallow frosting bubbles)

Quick, get the hose

Before the abominable
snowman sees us!

Got it!

Mr. Grouper:
but just as they were
about to start

Collecting the marshmallow
frosting...

Abominable snowman:
mine!

All:
the abominable snowman!

(Truck rumbles)

Mine!

Mr. Grouper:
so, the marshmallow patrol
continued up the mountain

To find more
marshmallow frosting.

Look! Over there!

I don't see the abominable
snowman anywhere.

Mine!
All: aaaaah!

Let's get out of here!

(Truck rumbles)

Oona:
he's right behind us!

Drive faster, goby!

Hang on!

(Truck rumbles)

Mine!

Goby:
phew! That was a close one!

Look out!

All:
aaaaaah!

Whoa!

Look at that!

Oona:
that's a lot
of marshmallow frosting!

Quick,
let's fill up the truck!

Mr. Grouper:
and so, the marshmallow
patrol got ready

To fill up their truck
with marshmallow frosting.

Okay, ready!

It takes ten seconds
to fill the truck.

Watch the timer,
and count backwards

Down from ten with us.

When we get to one,
say "stop!"

Molly, goby, and oona:
ten, nine,

Eight, seven,

Six, five,

Four, three,

Two, one,

Stop!

The truck is full!

All right!
Let's get out of here.

Mr. Grouper:
but guess who came back
again...

Mine!

All:
aaaaah!

Now what do we do?

All:
uh-oh!

Mine!

But, we really need it,
sir.

Why?

To cheer someone up!

Someone who doesn't
like the holidays.

(Gasp)
doesn't like the holidays?

Not at all?

Not at all!

Waaaaaah!

That's the saddest thing
I've ever heard!

He doesn't like
the holidays!

(Crying)

Waaaaaah!

Please don't cry,
mr. Snowman.

We're going to use
this marshmallow frosting

To make him the biggest,

Most beautiful gingerbread
house he's ever seen.

Oh, he's going
to like that!

Mr. Grouper:
so the abominable snowman
agreed to share

The marshmallow frosting,

And helped the marshmallow
patrol go home.

Ready?

One...two...three!

Wheeeee-hee-hee!

Happy holidays!

Thank you!
Goodbye!
Goodbye, snowman!

Mr. Grouper:
and so,
the marshmallow patrol

Came all the way down
the mountain

With their truck full
of marshmallow frosting.

Oh, I'm so glad
you're back!

Did you see
the abominable snowman?

Molly and gil:
yep! And we got
the marshmallow frosting!

Great work, guys!

And just in time!

Gil:
it's seven o'clock!

It's almost time
for the party!

We have to hurry!
Come on!

Here's the gingerbread!

And I've got candy
canes and gumdrops.

Gil, molly, and oona:
wow!

Goby:
and don't forget
the marshmallow frosting!

Great!
Let's get started!

Guppies:
* because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

(Loud music plays
from the headphones)

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

* Because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

(Knocking)

(Door slams)

I don't think he's
going to come out.

He's so grumpy!

Yeah. Come on,
let's go.

(Bell chimes)

Gil:
it's eight o'clock!

It's time for the party!

Guppies:
let's go! Sweet!
Yeah! All right!

Come on, molly!

You go ahead to the party,
molly.

Mr. Grumpfish will come out
when he's ready.

But he has
to come out now,

Or he's going to miss
everything!

The presents,

And the cookies,
and the singing.

Everyone in town
is going to be there,

And mr. Grumpfish
should be there, too.

Because more than
anything else,

The holidays are about
everyone being together.

All of us.

We're having our big
holiday party tonight,

And mr. Grumpfish is going
to be a part of it,

Like he should be.

Guppies:
* la-la-la-la-la-la-la

* Fa fa-la-la-la-la

* Fa-la-la
fa-la-la *

All:
* fa-la-la-la-la

* Join hands!

(Fa-la-la-la-la)

Gingerbread.

Is that marshmallow
frosting?

Deema:
mm-hmm!

What do you think?

Heh. Heh-heh.

Heh heh heh heh!

He's smiling!

Mr. Grumpfish:
my house! Ha ha ha!

It's a gingerbread house!

Ah ha ha ha ha!

He likes it!

Ha ha ha ha!

I love gingerbread!

Ha ha ha ha!

(Deema and mr. Grumpfish
laugh)

* Oh...

* Happy holidays!

All:
happy holidays,
mr. Grumpfish!

Come on, everybody,
it's time for the party!

All:
hooray!

Mr. Grouper:
and so mr. Grumpfish joined
the whole town for the party,

And it was the best holiday
party they had ever had.

Guppies:
* because tonight
is a holiday *

* Happy holidays!

* Mmm! Happy holidays!

* Happy happy holidays!

Okay, everybody!

Say gingerbread!

All:
