- (Cat): Ahh...

- Hi. I'm Peg,
and this is Cat,

and we totally love
relaxing in Ancient Egypt.

- I'm a big fan.
So is that.

- We came to visit
our super-powerful friend

Queen Cleopatra.
She always shows us a good time.

(Cleo clapping hands)
- Music!

(music with flute playing)

- Ramone! Rocking the flute!

- I'm helping
Cleopatra and Epidermis

learn their new dance.
Check it out!

- Reach... skip!

- Ooh! You guys are good!

- Yeah! Nice pattern!

- Uh, what's a pattern again?

- A pattern is when you do
something over and over

in the same order.
They're doing a first move,

then a second move.
Reach, then skip.

- Reach... skip, skip!

Reach... skip, skip!

- That's mixing things up!

- They turned their pattern
into a new pattern

by doing the second move twice.

- We call that
extending a pattern.

It makes Epidermis
all tingly.

- (Epidermis): Mraaah!
- Scoot over, Clee!

Reach... skip, skip!

Reach... skip, skip!

Ooh! Let's try this one!

Swish... shake!

Swish... shake!
(Epidermis laughing)

Now extend it. Swish...

shake, shake!

- Nice moves, guys!

- ♪ Ayay!

- Swish... shake, shake!

FLYYY!
- CAT!

- Epidermis!

You made Cat fly away!

- Mmmraha.

- We're coming, Cat!

Anybody see him?
- Up here!

- Cat! No matter
where we go,

you find a tree
to get stuck in.

- It's really annoying

and a BIG PROBLEM!

- Cat...
- I'll be stuck up here forever!

FOREVER! Do you know
how long that is in cat years?!

Somebody get me down!
- Keep it together, Cat.

- When you panic, you're
not able to think clearly.

You need to keep
your thoughts balanced.

- Mrahaha!
- Clee's right, Cat!

If you're calm,
you'll be able to think better

and help us figure out
a way to get you down.

- OK. I'll just relax

and let the brilliant ideas
come to me,

like a camel
coming to me

with that seesaw thing
I stepped on before.

- That "seesaw thing"

is my wondrous pan balance.

- When you put things
that weigh the same in the pans,

the arm goes straight across.

The pans are totally balanced!

When you put heavier stuff
in one pan,

that pan goes down.

Epidermis is heavier than you,

so he went down and you went up.

- Into a tree!
- Right!

But maybe the pan balance
can also get you down!

If we get on this pan,
it'll be heavier and go down.

The lighter empty pan
will go up to the tree.

Then Cat can hop in.
And when we get off

and make our pan lighter,
Cat will ride down!

- Love it!
Wake me when you're ready.

- It's an excellent plan!

- And Cat's staying calm!

And so...
- ♪ Problem solved ♪

♪ The problem is solved ♪

♪ We solved the problem!
Problem-- ♪

- YAAA! Cleo...

- What?! YAAAA! Epidermis!

- Mrah? MRAAAAA!

- (Peg): There are
three crocodiles in that tree!

- (Cleo): Any one of them could
swallow Cat in a single gulp!

- I don't want to scare Cat,
but we've got a--

- (girls): Really big problem.

- Crocodiles in the tree!

What can we do?
(girls gasping)

- (girls): The pan balance
is broken!

- We need it to get Cat down!
We need to fix this!

- My wondrous pan balance!
- I have no idea how to fix it!

It's completely destroyed!
- Who can help us?

- (man): ♪ Scoobady-doo-doo ♪

- My guard Mac! He can fix
a pan balance if anyone can!

- Mac, We need you!
(muffled music playing)

- Hello! Guard!

- He can't hear us
with those headphones on!

- I order you to hear me
with those headphones on!

- Should we
bring him to the pan?
- Or bring the pan to him?

- Whatever we do, let's do it
really fast without thinking!

- Yes! And panic a lot!
- Mwuhahah!

(dramatic music)

(all gasping)

- Warm sun, cool breeze.

- AHHH! Tree crocodiles!

Who even knew those were
a thing? Yaaaa!

- The birds are singing.

Peg was right, why panic?

Relaxing is way more relaxing.

Huh?

This guy's opening
his mouth.

(Cat gasping)
This one's licking her lips!

Now if you lick your lips
after your friend here,

you'll make
a really cool pattern.

First thing...
second thing, second thing!

Open mouth... lick, lick.

Oh yeah! Nailed it!
That's what I'm talking about!

Fun stuff, right? Now let's see
if you can do a new pattern,

all three of you together.

- He's stuck in the tree...
- (both): With three crocodiles!

- T'ree crocodiles?!
- Yes! And there are

one-two-three of them!
- That's what I said!

- Not two tree crocodiles!
Three!

- T'ree tree crocodiles?!
- I...

Yes!
- In that case, we better hurry.

This thing goes there!
- (Peg): That's not right!

- (Cleo): Faster! Hurry! Go-go!
- (Peg): That isn't right!

- Hey, guys, do you think
you could wag-step-step-step

while making stairs?

You're doing it! Yes!

You made steps
good enough to step on!

- You push, I'll pull.

- (together): Awwww!

- You stayed totally calm and
got yourself down from the tree!

with three hungry crocodiles!

- I was in a tree

TOTALLY FREAKING OUT!

- But you weren't! And now
the problem's already solved!

- Oh yeah.
- Because he knew

all about patterns
and staying calm,

Cat got himself
down from the tree!

- Math kept you
completely unswallowed.

- You know, I've always been
a little nervous,

but today I learned something.

go as planned ♪

♪ But when I start to panic,

can't think straight

- (Cat and Mac):

- I'm Peg, this is Cat,

and these are our friends
Yasmina and Amir.

- Hey there.
- Hi.

- For so long now,
Cat and I have been telling them

about our adventures.
- They all sound really cool.

- And today, we get to have
an adventure with them!

They're having us over
to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

- This holiday they celebrate
about which we know nothing.

- Cat's scared to even try
to pronounce it.
- Guilty!

- Amir and me are gonna do
everything we can

to make your first Eid al-Adha
the best ever.
- Cool!

- (Peg): Cat really likes

Ah! Maybe not so much
goat cheese.

- But before we go,
a really, really important

Eid al-Adha tradition--
- I like that last tradition

because it involves food.

- Dividing the meat
into three equal parts.

- Yes! Meat division!

- One, one, one.
Two, two, two!

- You used fair sharing
on your Halloween adventure.

- We divided up candy, right?
- Was I in that one?

- Every year, we keep
one third of the meat.

- One third is...?
- When you've got

three equal parts of something,
each part is a third.

- We give one third
to our neighbors

and one third
to someone with less.

- Less what?

- Someone who doesn't have
enough food or clothes,

the basic stuff
that everyone needs.

Uh, Amir,

the fair sharing
doesn't look so fair.

- I put the same number
of meatballs in every bowl!

- But they're all
different sizes,

so one bowl has more meat
than the others.

- If we don't divide it
into three equal parts,

this won't be
the best Eid al-Adha ever!

- (Amir and Yasmina):
WE'VE GOT A BIG PROBLEM!

- Yes! A pan balance!
- Where?

- You used one when
you were visiting Cleopatra.

- With the pans that balance!
I knew that.

- We can use the pan balance
to divide the meatballs

into three groups
that weigh the same!

- Then, there will be the same
amount of meat in each bowl.

- (Peg): This pan goes down

because this bowl has more meat.
It's heavier.

- But we can take from more
and give to less until...

- They weigh the same!
- These two weigh the same too!

- They all weigh the same!

to your Soup Kitchen.

- Oh, we hate to run and eat,
but we've got a party to go to.

a really big problem!

goods were just delivered,

and you see...

in that house across the yard ♪

♪ He's been coming here
for meals every day ♪

count backwards from five

and calm down.
- We prefer seven.

- Seven days of the week,

It's a very cool number!

you meatball-loving genius!

- Just like we divided
the meat into thirds,

the wall into thirds

and move it
one third at a time!

- Deep down, I knew
they'd find a way.

- So, uh, lately,
I've had some bad luck.

Things will turn around soon,

my cupboard is bare.

I stubbed my toe.
(Peg gasping)

I stubbed my other toe.

Today, I'm not going anyplace.

We brought meatballs!

- I've never been that hungry.
- So good!
