I'm still Peg and
this is still Cat.

And these people...
are my grandparents!

- Who love everything
about the sixties.

- We dig those numbers.

- Granddad even made a giant .

- We've also got three new
baby goats on our farm!

- Baby goats are called kids.

Before I forget,
we need your help

with this other
new thing we got.

- It's out in the field
by Jeremiah's tree.

- Jeremiah's my
Grandmom's Granddad.

He planted that
tree so long ago.

- It's our family tree!
- And here is our groovy

new Double-Digit Music Machine!

- This thing is so far out.

- You said it, Cat!
- It's supposed to play music

about our favorite numbers.
- But hi-tech stuff

isn't our thing.

- We can't get
a sound out of it!

- And that's a BIG PROBLEM!

- I can totally get
the music machine started,

with the help of this
instruction booklet.

- That thing's no help
at all. Watch.

Step three. Put the blue
plug into the blue hole.

It won't fit!
- Definitely not fitting.

- Because you didn't unwrap it.

- It should say unwrap it!

- It does! Step one!

- Step nine. Adjust the volume.

I turned it way up,
but I don't hear anything!

- Me neither!
- Because it doesn't
have batteries yet!

- It should say
put in batteries!

- "Put in batteries." Step six.
- Oh.

- That's your problem,
grandparents.

You gotta follow
the steps in order.

- Far out!

- And instead of counting
the steps "one, two, three,"

you go "first,
second and third,"

using ordinal numbers.
Like this:

first, unwrap the blue plug.

- Done!
- Second, unwrap the red plug.

- Done!
- Third, put the blue
plug in the blue hole.

- So much easier
when it's unwrapped!

- Fourth, put the red
plug in the red hole.

- Even a Cat can do it!
- Fifth, open the battery hatch.

- OK...
- Sixth, put in the batteries.

Seventh, remove the plastic
shipping protector.

Eighth, press the purple button.

(gasping)
Ninth, adjust the volume.

- All right!

- And th, get ready to rock!

- Groovy!

Seems to me the problem
is here, in the first digit.

in the sixties is six.

- The only difference I can see
between the seventies

and sixties is the numbers
they start with.

Jeremiah's tree!

- It looks like a circle
when it spins!

Just like that shape--
- Oh! Oh! Don't tell me.

- An octagon!

- Yeah, I was not
going to say that.

- Octagons are
eight-sided shapes.

- Sounds like those other shapes
that end in -gon. You know.

Something-agon, uh,
the other-thing-agon,

uh, tarragon?
- Pentagon and hexagon?

- Yeah, I did not say that.
- A pentagon has five sides.

- One, two, three, four, five.

- A hexagon has six sides.

- Bzz! One, two, three,
four, five, six!

- But octagons have
eight sides. Like...

- Like this stop sign!
- Ramone!

What are you doing here?
- Tracking these clouds to see

when the rain's going to stop.
- (gasping): Stop?

- Oh, yeah. It's gonna
be gorgeous out!

- No, no, no!
- Oh, yuck!

- We better start
splashing in these puddles

before it gets all,
ugh, "nice" out.

Woohoo!

- Uh...
- Oh, yeah!

- Heh, heh.
- What's wrong, Cat?

- These puddles are too...
- Deep?

- Deep?
- Deep means something

has a lot of depth. Just like
height measures the distance

of something from
the bottom to the top,

depth measures how far
something goes down.

So you don't want
to jump in puddles

that have a lot of depth.
They're too deep!

But you can't tell how deep a
puddle is just by looking at it.

- So I can't tell which
puddles to splash in!

I've got a DEEP PROBLEM.
(horns tooting)

- That's it, you
umbrella-leaning genius!

We can measure
the depth of the puddles

using the stripes
on your umbrella!

Your tail is at the first,
second, third stripe.

So just dip your umbrella in

and see where the
water comes up to.

If it's deeper
than three stripes...

- It's not for me.

First, second, third,
fourth stripe.

Too deep! I don't
think so, puddle.

- Come on, Cat!
- ♪♪ I'm measurin' in the rain ♪

- ♪ Just measurin' in the rain ♪

- ♪ This puddle's

- ♪ We're measuring depth ♪

- ♪ So my tail will stay dry ♪

- ♪ When you need to measure ♪

something cooler ♪

measurer is missing!

- But I need mine to measure
how deep the puddles are

so my tail doesn't get wet.
- It's this thing he has.

- (girls): Right. Totally.
- Things.

- Well, we'll so help
you find your umbrella.

- All of our umbrellas!
- (all): Yeah!

trillium blooms, then BOOM.

Our umbrellas were gone!

love getting soaked.

Like cute little triangles!

- My golden umbrella
has been stolen!

- Why do you have an umbrella?
- Don't you live underwater?

- I just love that
it's covered in triangles,

like my golden pyramids.

- Umbrellas aren't triangular;
they're shaped like

- Octagons!

That's an octagon.
- But every octagon

is made up of eight
separate triangles.

And I miss them all.

I want my umbrella back!

- And Cat can't jump

in any more puddles without his!

I wasn't even thinking
about saving my own tail!

You got upset and I just knew
I had to jump to your side,

even if it meant
landing in a puddle.

- Dis is beautiful.

Doesn't solve our problem,
but it really reminds you

what's important in life.

- I think we should all stop
and have a moment of reflection.

- Look! Up in the tree!

- It's a fort made
out of our umbrellas!

- (all): The pig!

a fellow named Mac,

with more jobs than hairs on
a yak! If you counted them all

while bouncing a ball, you could
bounce to Paskrooki and back.

only had to explain half of it!

- So uh, what did Mac think?
- I loved it!

It's my favorite poem ever.

I even understood it!
