Today, I'm going to learn
how to ride a bike!

And then, Katerina and O are
going to show me a magic trick!

make a garden.

- Okay, my helper tiger.

Help me put the plant

(chuckles)
(tinkling bell)

What's that sound?

It sounds like ringing...

but not like Trolley.
What do you think it is?

Mom, do you hear
that ringing?

- Mm-hmm. I do hear something.

I wonder what it could be?

Maybe you should go see!
- Let's go look!

Hello-o! Ring ring!
Where are you?

(curious music)

(gasps): It's a bicycle!

Dad, why do you have a bike?

- It's for you.

(bicycle bell rings)
(Daniel Tiger gasps)

- Grrr-ific!

It's sooo shiny!

And it has stripes, like me!

And a basket... aaand a bell!

(bell rings)

- This was my bike when
I was a little tiger.

I fixed it up for you.

- Mom! Margaret! Dad says
the bicycle is for me!

And it has a bell!

- I can hear that. What a
wonderful present, Daniel.

- Can I ride it now?

- Of course you can.
- Yay!

- (chuckling): Let's get
your helmet on.

There you go. Nice and tight.

- My helmet will keep my head
safe while I ride.

- That's right. Okay, ready?

I'll give you a little push
to start you off.

- Here I go! Vroom vroom!

(grunting with effort): Whoa!

I pedal just like my trike,
right dad?

- Yep. You've got it, Daniel.

- Whoooa! This is...

so...wobbly.

Whoa! Whoa.

(straining): This is hard!

Whoa! Riding this bike is hard.

- It is hard! But keep
working at it! Just...

I'm riding my bike!

- That's my fuzzy guy!

Oh, Daniel! It's almost
time for you to meet

Prince Wednesday and
Chrissie at the park.

- Oh yeah! Dad,

do you think I can ride my bike
all the way to the park?

- Sure! Let's go!

Okay, here we go!

- Aahhh... whoa!

Whoa!

Whoa! That's a big hill.

- It is. But you can do it.

Hold on to those handlebars

and push down hard
on those pedals.

- Okay! Here I go...

Push! Oof. Push! Grr! Push...

I'm not going anywhere!

It's too hard.
I can't get up the hill.

- Riding uphill is hard,

but I know you can
do it! Remember:

- Okay.

I moved a little bit!

I did it! I got up the hill!

- (rejoicing): Ha ha ha!

How do you feel?
- (chuckling): Proud. And look!

There's the playground.
(children laughing)

Whoa!

(rings bell)

- Daniel! Hi!
- Hi, Daniel!

- Is that your bike?!

- Yup! This is my new bike.

It was my Dad's!

- Wow Daniel, your bike
looks really fast.

- I like the stripes.
- I like the bell!

(all laughing, bell ringing)
- Alright.

Have a nice time playing,
Daniel. I'm just going to pick

something up at the Clock
Factory. I'll be right back.

- Yup, okay! We'll be
having fun here!

- Do you want to do
the rings with us?

- Let's go!
- Yeah!

- Okay, watch how I do it.

You see these five rings?

I want to get
all the way across!

(panting with effort)

Two... Whooooa!

Oof. I missed the third ring!
This is hard.

- You can do it, Prince
Wednesday. Just...

- Prince Wednesday was swinging
so much on those rings!

That looked like fun.

Hey, do you want to
make believe with me?

Let's make believe
that we have

to swing on rings to get
wherever we want to go!

- Okay, down!

- Eight whole seconds!
That's my new record.

- That was grr-ific,
Chrissie!

- Yeah! Okay, your turn, Daniel!

- See if you can go all the way
across, like Wednesday!

- Okay! But...
it looked really hard!

- Yeah, it might be hard,
little D, but give it a try!

Ready?
- Okay, here I go...

(straining): One... Two...

Whoooa... whoa!

- Keep trying!

- Grr! Grr!

Grr... Four!

- One more, one more!

- Great job, little D!

- I feel proud!

- (chuckling): Wow!
What did I miss?
- Hi Dad!

I did the rings
all the way to the end!

- Oh, that must have been hard!
- It was!

But we kept on trying.

- And grr-ing!
(all laughing)

♪ It seemed way too hard ♪

I am proud of you, Daniel.

- Riding a bike and swinging
on the rings are hard to do.

But we grr-ed and grr-ed
and kept going.

And I'm proud I did it.

What are you working hard on?

Ugga mugga!

Let's go see some neighbors!

(upbeat music)

- Put your hands together...

like that, yes.

(upbeat music)

- Go ahead.
- Go for it!

Go for it! Oh...

Try again! Get your feet set,
like you normally do.

Alright? Okay, choke up on the
bat a little bit. There you go.

Keep your elbow up
and keep your bat back here.

Get the ball!

- (impressed) Oh oh oh!

Okay, no T this time!

- This time she's gonna
throw it towards you!

It's not gonna be
on the T so we're gonna do
the same thing we did before.

Put your foot here.
(breathing forcefully)

Oh!

(upbeat music)

It's alright, keep trying.
Get the bat.

Takes practice.
- Try again.

Ready?

AAAH!

Give Dad a high five.
Good job, buddy! You did it.

- I like these visits with you.

Who-o-oa!

Whoa.

Hi, neighbor! Look at my bike!

It used to be my Dad's.

I made an obstacle course. See?

I have to ride
through the cones!

Turn this way...Whoa!

And tur... argh!

Whoa! Whoa!

- How's it going
over here, Daniel?

- Not good. I want to go through
my obstacle course on my bike,

but... it's hard!

- Steering a bicycle is hard.

- Yeah! Grr.

- But when something's not easy:

- Nice steering!
I have an idea.

We have to go to
the Enchanted Garden
to get some fruit for dinner.

Do you want to
try biking there?

- Grrr! Yes!
This is gonna be fun!
C'mon, let's go!

(struggling)
Whoa!

Whoa... Ah!

The road is bumpy.

- You're doing
a great job, Daniel.

Just keep holding onto the
handlebars and try to
stay straight.

- ♪ Grr grr grr out loud ♪

♪ Keep on trying ♪

I did it! I made it
past that bumpy part.

- You sure did! Do you
feel proud of yourself?

- I do!

Do you like biking with me,
Tigey?

I think Tigey likes
riding with me.

Hey... do you want to
make believe with me?

Let's make believe

that Tigey can really
ride a bicycle!

Three, two, one, go!

♪ It's so exciting
to go racing ♪

♪ On our super speedy bikes
Let's go faster ♪

♪ And faster now ♪
(giggling)

Race really quick
to the finish line!

♪ We can pedal fast ♪
- Yeah!

- ♪ Through country roads
race through ♪

♪ The hills with
the wind blowing ♪

♪ Through our hair ♪

♪ We're racing side by side ♪

- Zoom! The finish line!

Whoa!
- ♪ It's a tie ♪

♪ Let's celebrate ♪

- Wasn't that grr-ific?!

And look! I see
the Enchanted Garden.

Mom? Will you
open the door, please?

I want to stay on my bike!
- Okay, sure.

One... two... three!

(Daniel grunting with effort)

- Yeah!

Katerina! O! Watch me!

- Wow!
- Wheeeeeee!

- Hoo hoo!
- This is fun!

(giggling)
- Meow meow!
- Did you see me on my bike?

- That was some nifty galifty
bicycle-riding, hoo hoo!

- Thanks! What
are you guys doing?

- (in affected stage voice):
I am Katerina

the Great!
(Daniel and O giggling)

- Meow meow! The most
amaaazing magician

in the neighborhood!
And I am about to perform...

a magic trick!

- And I'm O!
The... um...

helper magician!
Hoo hoo!

- Can I see
a magic trick?

- (spooky voice):
Yes. But first...

(resuming normal tone):
My mom has to teach it to us.

- Then you can
be our audience.

- Okay!
- Okay meow meow.

Do you see anything in my hands?

- Nope! There's
nothing in them!

- Now I say the magic words:

Meow meow ka-presto!

Meow meow ka-zall!

When I turn around,
you'll see a...

ball!
- WOW!

- How did you do that?

- I'll show you
how I did it.

At the beginning of
the trick, I hide the ball

under my arm like this.

- I can't even see it.

- Then what, meow meow?
- Then, when I twirl around,

I take the ball out
from under my arms,

so it looks like it...

magically appeared, meow meow!

Do you want to try?

- (in a grand voice):
Yes, meow meow!

Katerina the Great will try it!

(normal voice): Oh... but you
wait over there Mommy, okay?

I want to practice it
before I show you.

- Of course,
meow meow.

(kisses)

- Ready?

- I'm ready to help,
Katerina the Great!

- Thank you,

Oops! The ball!

- I've got it!
No I don't.

- Thank you,

- (dramatically):

- Now I say...
(gasps)

- This magic trick is hard,

I don't think I can do it.

- Katerina...

Where did the ball go?

- I don't see it anywhere.

- Oh! There's the ball!

- Hoo hoo! Gotcha!
No I don't.

- Tigey has the ball now!

- (giggling): Practicing this
magic trick is making me laugh!

- Did I hear something
about a magic trick?

- Katerina the Great

will perform a magic trick,
meow meow.

- And I'm going
to help, hoo hoo!

- Oooh!
- Magic!

- Ladies and gentlemen!

Get ready to be... amaaazed!

Introducing the amaaazing...

Katerina the Great!

- (all): Woohoo! Yay! Hurray!

- (clears throat): Thank you,
thank you, meow meow!

Do you see anything

in my hands?

- No...

- Now, we say
the magic words:

Meow meow ka-presto!

Meow meow ka-zall!

When I turn around,
you'll see a...

ball! Oh!

- Wow!
- Well done, meow meow!

- Hooray, Katerina!

- You did it! Hoo hoo!
- I DID!

- Amazing trick Katerina!
- Yay!

- Hi my name is Gavin
and I'm going to learn

a magic trick from
my friend Jonathan!

- Hi Jonathan!
- Hey Gavin! How are ya?

- Good. Can you
teach me a magic trick?
- Good to see you! Of course!

Today we're going to do a trick
that uses crayons.

We have a whole box,

but we only need... three.

I'm going to hand you the
crayons. What I want you to do

is you're going to place one of
the crayons into my hand

and take the other two
and hide them.

So now, I'm going to
attempt to read...

your mind!

(singing the Twilight Zone
theme song)

You chose...
the red crayon!

Huh... what?! Would you
like to learn that trick?

- Sure.
- Awesome. So,
the secret move behind my back

is I take the thumb and
I actually run it along

the edge of the crayon.
When I do the magical gesture,

I can look at my thumb
and I see you picked red.

And you get to pretend
that you read their mind.

Pretty cool, huh?
Nice. You wanna try it?

- Put one of those
behind my back in my hand
- Ok, alright. No peeking!

and hold on to the others.

♪♪♪

Your crayon was... blue!

- (gasps): You're right!
How did you do that?

Gavin! Gavin! Gavin!

They're down here too,
you're on the jumbotron now!

- Thanks for teaching me
a magic trick!

- Of course, you can take these
with you and practice at home.

- Okay! Thanks for coming,
neighbors! Bye!
