Uh, could you fill us in on

exactly what they did for the Seabees?

Of course.

But first, may I ask,
are their children okay?

Yes, we have them and they're safe.

Good.

So, the Sandhagens were brilliant.

They acted as civilian contractors

on three of our latest
and most important projects.

So, we know Admiral Kilbride
has been in contact

with the office of SECNAV
and that they've upped security

at those three properties,

but could you tell us exactly
what these projects were?

The first was a weapons and
ordnance depot at Camp Pendleton.

The second was an underground
drone control base in the Mojave.

But the third project
was their masterpiece.

That was the project
that wasn't in our briefing.

Uh, we were told we needed
to speak with you directly

- to get more details.
- The project was

a fortified and secured command center

built directly into
the side of a mountain,

- location classified.
- What kind of command center?

A multiservice m*ssile deterrence

command and control center.

And what does this center control?

Over missiles located on U. S. soil.

Three hundred?

Yeah.

If the Sandhagens were taken by

a foreign interest looking for control

of that command center,
they can take out

most of our domestic m*llitary operations

with those ballistic missiles.

- Hey, guys.
- What do you got, Rountree?

The Sandhagens architecture firm

has a third partner.
His name's Paul Figueiredo.

Oh, let me take a flyer here.

Mr. Figueiredo is just
as rich as the Sandhagens?

That's the thing, he's not.
He's doing well,

but his home's worth a quarter

of what one of the Sandhagens'
properties is.

And he has credit card debt
and nowhere near the savings.

And all three of them are
equal partners in the firm?

Yeah, looks that way.

Maybe the Sandhagens are

funneling money from the corporation.
Maybe they're stealing from him.

And Paul finds out and goes after them.

CALLEN: Maybe. Or maybe the Sandhagens

are selling their classified
knowledge of properties

like the ballistic m*ssile command
center to the highest bidder.

About a half a dozen foreign countries

would be interested in the plans
for those properties.

Not to mention t*rror1st organizations.

I can do to help, I will.

Great, that's great, 'cause we do
have some questions for you.

For sure. First, can I ask...
Ty and, uh, Sophia...

how are they? Are they with Mila?

- They are.
- And they're all at a secured location.

- Have a seat.
- Yeah.

So, you and the Sandhagens
are equal partners

in their m*llitary contracting
business, correct?

We are. Yeah, I own a third,

Linsey owns a third,
Emmett owns a third.

That means the profits
are distributed equally

between the three of you?

That it does, yeah.

I don't mean to be disrespectful,

but when we were looking into
the Sandhagens' finances,

we realized that...
they have substantially

more capital and savings than you do.

You-you guys looked into my finances.

- We did.
- 'Cause I wasn't expecting that.

But, uh... you saw
I've got nothing to hide.

And the reason for your
different financial situation is?

Simple. I'm a partner in the
m*llitary contracting business.

Six years ago, they started
a separate business

dealing with, uh, civilian jobs.
I'm not a part of that firm.

We didn't see any other
companies listed under their name.

Yeah, they were very careful
to incorporate using trusts

instead of their names

to make sure this exact thing
wouldn't happen.

So, what kind of civilian jobs

are they taking under this company?

Safe rooms in mansions,

secured bug out cabins in
the mountains, specialty vaults.

I mean, in this day and age,

this types projects
have become very popular

among people with means.

I mean, you look at the cash
they're pulling in,

- I'd say it's profitable.
- DEEKS: Yeah, well,

second homes are overrated.

You got the property taxes
and the maintenance and...

I'll stop talking.

Well, anyway, they asked me to

partner with them in the private
sector business back then,

but I turned them down.

- Why was that?
- I love working with the Sandhagens,

but don't get me wrong,
I don-I-I don't live to work.

Work for me is a means to camp, hunt,

surf, do jiujitsu.

Basically just be a human being.

Did you regret your decision
once you saw how much money

- they were making?
- Not at all. Are you kidding?

They worked on that business
around the clock,

/ to get it done.

That was a...
that was a huge accomplishment.

It's just not the life I want.

I can respect that.

You wouldn't happen
to have a list of their

private sector clients, would you?

I don't have access to that
because it's not part

of the m*llitary contracting business.

But if I were you guys,
I'd check out their home office.

That's where they ran
that business out of.

Our ETA from Port Hueneme is...

about minutes, sir.

Copy that.

We should have a list of the Sandhagens'

private sector projects
sent to your phones soon.

A private sector motive
for the kidnappings makes sense.

If they were targeting
a m*llitary facility,

then they'd have to know
that the first step

in our playbook is to up
security at any property

the Sandhagens designed.

And if they're in it
for profit over terrorism,

then private sector assets
are way easier

to offload and fence than m*llitary tech.

All valid points.
