- Previously on SEAL Team...
- JASON: That's Yasiri.

We'll pull up, throw Yasiri
in the truck, and we're gone.

- Get us the f*ck out of here.
- We're clean, let's do this!

Why don't you say what really
went down out there?

When it came time to execute,
you didn't think I could.

CLAY: I used to look at the future.

Now I'm scared of what's
around the next corner.

It was not the r*fle
that made you shine.

You are still that guy.

Yasiri's militants are a proxy
for a state actor.

- Who?
- I'm trying to figure that out.

Instead of trying, start doing.

Says the guy who twice had Yasiri

in his crosshairs and came home empty.

Does the name Jacques Tandina
mean anything to you?

He's the SGS source that
was playing both sides in Mali.

The Agency is still using him.

Yasiri's squirting.
We're losing him again.

Hold tight, we're going after the HVT.

- [TIRES SCREECHING]
- [g*nf*re]

[BARKING]

JASON: Oh-ho, whoo! Hey!

Probably thinks that we have
leftovers for him. [CHUCKLES]

[WHISTLES, KISSES]

I think we've tried
every mimosa in Vah Beach.

What do you mean, "we"?

I think it's finally happened.

I'm officially brunched out.

All this downtime has turned me
into brunch guy.

- [EXCLAIMS]
- [LAUGHING]

It's like a gateway
to popping your collar

and listening to yacht rock.

Oh, casual boozy meals

are a perk of downtime, if you ask me.

Shame, though, you're
not gonna be getting

any eggs Benedict in Afghanistan.

Yeah, nor any Jason Hayes.

At least you get to go back,

you know, finish what you started.

Wish I could say the same for Bravo.

Well, while I'm helping my friend's NGO

get women to safety,
you can occupy yourself

as a sheepdog around here
till you get spun up again.

Oh, okay. [LAUGHS]

Have you talked to Clay
since he went home?

Ah, I want him to have
some time with his family,

though living in a one-bedroom apartment

with a newborn, what he
really needs is space.

Are you sure you want
to be throwing stones

from this particular glass hovel?

Oh, hovel? Did you hear that?

- [CERBERUS BARKS]
- Hovel.

This is no hovel. This place is great.

I'm not planning on living here
forever, that's for sure.

Oh! Really?

- Yeah.
- Where would you go?

Always wanted to get an Airstream.

[BOTH LAUGHING]

And live by the water.
Why is that so funny?

I wouldn't expect any less from Bravo .

You like being able to drop
everything in seconds

and run into the fire with Bravo.

- Hmm.
- No judgment.

There you go.

To be honest, I'd be more concerned

if you told me you had
a house in Key West

you had your eye on,

where you could spend your days fishing.

Fishing. Caught.

[LAUGHS]

To us, two sharks always circling.

[CLEARS THROAT]

Yo, hey, you don't need
to be doing that.

What?

You don't need to be doing that.

Oh, come on, you've
made breakfast every day

since you've come home. I can clean up.

I-I'm pretty sure there's
not enough household chores

to make up for walking out
on you and Brian.

Well, a week's worth
of you making omelets

- is a good start.
- [BRIAN FUSSING]

But you could, you know,
afford to change up,

maybe throw in a German
pancake or something.

- Noted.
- Mm, good.

However, Professor, you know,

omelets are actually a metaphor.

Like breaking eggs, making a mess.

And yet still providing for your family.

- I get it.
- Right.

Seriously, though, you...
stop apologizing.

We both made mistakes
navigating your recovery.

[EXHALES SHARPLY]

Yeah, well, I'm not sure
that you being cautious

compares to me insisting
that everything is normal

and then losing my sh*t

when I finally realized that it wasn't.

You're here now.

And between my sabbatical

and you taking a break
from Green Team...

I think we can slow down,

maybe figure out what normal means.

How's your pain level?

I'd be lying if I said
I wasn't jonesing for a pill.

The doctor said that cravings
should lessen after ten days.

And you're almost out of the woods.

[SIGHS]

I promise, I'm never wandering
into those woods again.

[KNOCKING]

behind your big-girl desk.

Well, I'm trying to clean out my inbox

before I head up to D.C.

Looks like I'm also gonna have
to clean up that puddle of sweat

you're dripping on my
floor there, Sonny.

Oh, yeah, just been doing
three-day workouts at the gym.

Yeah, I don't really have
anything much else

to do, since...

You know, I'm happy Clay's doing Clay,

but I'm really gonna miss putting on...

[WITH ACCENT]: ... that
Mrs. Doubtfire brassiere

and helping out with little Brian.

Now, had I known me
sweating profusely would, uh...

- Shut up, listen.
- Oh.

I just got an email
from a contact at the CIA

confirming that they still
rely on the SGS source

they used in our target package in Mali.

The source that sold us out,
that got us ambushed,

that lost Clay's leg?

The fucker that I've been dreaming about

putting six feet under?

That's the thing.

They swear that he didn't
double-cross us.

Oh, bullshit, that's just the Agency

- covering their ass.
- I don't think so.

The official AAR came down
and said the source

had been taken out of play.

Something doesn't smell right.

So, I put in an RFI for the case file

for the operation.

Once the red tape clears, I'll know.

If the source was good,
then who f*cked over Clay?

I'll try to find out, put it on my list

along with getting Bravo back to Syria.

If the w*r machine's gonna try and pull

some sort of Pat Tillman-style cover-up,

I tell you what, man,
someone's gonna pay for this.

I can't do anything
until I get that case file.

And even then, once I do know
the questions to ask,

the answers that we'll want
lie above my pay grade.

Davis, you need to think.

Okay, what about them fancy
committees of yours?

You know, a new cake-eater friend

No, f*ck that. Man, you kidding me?

No chest candy, no,
especially not for that op.

What happened to Clay.

Ma'am.

I was wondering
if you might have a moment

to speak privately.

- Yes, ma'am.

Is there a problem, Lieutenant?

I was thinking about what you said

about the repercussions

of not having a full view
of the playing field.

Oh, so what keeps me up at night

is now keeping you up as well, also?

Yes, after I came across
some troubling information

that paints an incomplete picture.

I believe you're in a position
to help me

fill in some of the blanks.

How so?

All signs suggest to me
that the militia group

that hit the USS Crampton
was backed by a state actor.

But we can't tell who
unless we send a team

back to Syria to finish
degrading al-Sham Brigade

and learn who's behind them.

You know such a decision
falls on SOCOM, not me.

And I also know that you
and the deputy commander

go way back to your first ship.

Oh, I guess you have read my CV.

If you were to whisper
in his ear to make this happen,

all of the glory will go to him

when the state actor
theory is confirmed,

and he will owe you a favor in return.

A bold move...
for a woman that accused me

of advising her to play politics.

What happens if your
theory isn't correct?

By finishing the job with al-Sham,

we eliminate the extremists
who k*lled American sailors.

Nothing for the brass
to be ashamed of there.

I would argue it's a bigger black eye

to let this act go unpunished, ma'am.

I don't disagree.

Morning, gentlemen.

I realize your feet have
barely touched the ground here,

but you'll be spinning up.

Spinning up or handling
our unfinished business?

Well, you got your wish, Jace,
we're going back to Syria.

Your mission remains a capture/k*ll

of Jamar Yasiri as a means of
degrading the al-Sham Brigade.

Additionally, you will be
gathering any intel

that may help expose
a more powerful entity,

likely a state actor supporting
the al-Sham Brigade.

Any ideas who that might be?

Turkey, Russia, Iran. Even the Chinese.

Knowing what we're up against,

firepower are we packing?

Yeah, 'cause getting caught
naked by a fleet of drones

wasn't nearly as fun as it sounds.

We're on our own.

S.A. mode, small footprint,

allowing us to work more covertly

as we search for Yasiri.

There's no known location on the HVT,

but there is promising intel.

After Bravo's engagement
with Yasiri's militia,

they carried out their planned as*ault

of a nearby !sis compound.

The !sis casualties were near total,

but chatter says a few of
the unit's leaders did escape,

and it's believed they've
discovered Yasiri's whereabouts.

- How does that help us?
- Are we gonna hook up

in a Yasiri survivors support group?

The Agency will point us
towards those !sis survivors,

we will make them an offer.

They give us Yasiri's location,
and we deliver the revenge

that they are too outgunned
and undermanned to execute.
