And me, Joe.

Have you seen Blue?

Oh, hi.

It's me, Steve's brother Joe.

You taught me how to play "Blue's Clues," remember?

Come on in.

Steve has been waiting for you to come over.

Today is a really big day for him.

Steve! Blue!

Come on.

Look who's here.

[barking]

Oh, hi.

I have some really big news.

I've been waiting and waiting to tell you.

Are you ready?

Okay, here goes.

Today, I'm going to college.

[barks happily]

Steve is going to college!

I am so excited.

♪ Steve is going to college ♪

Yeah.

Always wanted to go to college.

And today is the day.

[barks]

ALL: ♪ Steve is going to college. ♪

Um, Steve, what's college?

Good question, Tickety.

[barks]

Right, Blue.

College is a really big school.

Whoa!

Hey, Steve, what are you going to do at college?

Well, Slippery, I'm going to learn

all sorts of new things at college,

so... so I can be an artist, or a scientist,

or anything I want to be, because I'm going to college.

♪ Steve is going to college. ♪

[barking]

Hey, Steve, are you bringing all this stuff with you?

Yeah, Steve, are you going to live at college?

Well, yeah.

That's something else I wanted to tell you about.

See, I'm going away to college.

I'm going to live there.

[barking]

Right, Blue, I'm bringing my pillow to college

because I'm going to sleep there every night.

Um, Steve, I have a question.

If you're going away to college,

who's going to live here with us?

Yeah.

I was just going to ask that.

Good question, Tickety.

That is a good question.

Well, Blue and I talked it over,

and when I go away to college,

somebody really great is going to move in and live here.

[barking]

Right, Blue?

[barks]

Who?

Well...

It's someone who likes ducks...

Yeah.

Uh-huh.

And he likes the color green...

Uh-huh.

Really?

And kind of looks like me.

ALL: Who is it?

[barks]

Who do you think it is?

Joe.

[barks]

It's me!

Yep, it's my brother, Joe.

Joe? Really?

Well, yeah, I'm moving in.

I'm going to live here.

Joe, are you going to play with us?

And explore with us in the backyard?

And make up dances?

Yeah.

We could even make up dances

about exploring in the backyard.

[barks]

But, Steve, I have another question.

[barking]

Are you still going to be our friend

when you're away at college?

I was wondering that, too.

Yeah, of course.

Even though I won't live here, we'll still be friends.

Well, how will we stay friends?

Well, one way is I can use this paper and these envelopes

to write you letters from college.

Good idea.

I'll start a letter right now.

Yeah.

Me, too.

"Dear Steve..."

[barks]

Blue, do you have an idea

about what else Steve could bring to college?

[barks]

What do you want him to bring?

[barking]

Great idea.

We'll play "Blue's Clues" to figure out

what Blue wants Steve to bring to college.

I love Blue's Clues.

[music begins]

♪ 'Cause it's a really great game, yeah! ♪

So, remember, Blue's paw prints will be on the clues.

Whoa.

You know what we need to play Blue's Clues?

Oh, yeah, our handy-dandy...

Right.

Come on.

Here's your new notebook, Joe.

Oh, it's the notebook Blue gave me.

And, Steve, you could take your notebook to college.

Ooh, good thinking.

I'll use it to take notes.

To play Blue's Clues, we got to find a...

Paw print.

Oh, a paw print, right.

And that's our first...

♪ We got to find the last paw print... ♪

♪ That's the third clue.

♪ We put it in our notebook... ♪

BOTH: ♪ 'Cause they're Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues. ♪

You know what to do.

♪ Sit down in our Thinking Chair... ♪

BOTH: ♪ And think, think, think.

♪ 'Cause when we use our minds... ♪

♪ And take a step at a time... ♪

BOTH: ♪ We can do anything...

[barks]

That we want to do.

We need our handy-dandy...

I get to use my notebook for the first time.

So...

numbers.

So, let's draw a five, a three and a seven.

There, we have some numbers.

So, our first clue is numbers.

Hmm... What could Blue want Steve

to bring to college with numbers?

Maybe.

But I think we better find two more clues.

Okay.

Psst, Joe.

We need you to help us get ready for the party.

Oh, right.

Later on, we're going to have

a surprise good-bye party for Steve.

Don't tell him, okay?

Joe, come on.

Shh.

Where's Joe?

Oh, well, I guess we can just tell him if we find a clue.

[Blue barking]

Sounds like Blue.

Come on.

[barking]

Hey, Blue just skiddooed...

into that picture of college.

Do you want to see what college is like?

Let's go.

[barking]

Look at this.

It's college.

Isn't it a big school?

Look at all the buildings.

That's the library.

That's the dormitory, where I'll sleep every night.

And that's the cafeteria, where I'll eat breakfast.

[barks]

I think Blue found another building.

Come on.

[barks]

Oh, this is the classroom building.

Come on.

This is where I'll go to classes

and learn all sorts of new things.

[barking]

What do you think I'll learn about in this classroom?

Outer space.

[barks]

Ooh, outer space, yeah.

Look at the sun and the moon and the stars.

I love outer space.

Maybe I'll learn to be an astronaut.

I'm definitely taking the outer space class.

[barks]

Let's see what other classes we can find.

[barks]

Look at all the musical instruments

and the musical notes on the board.

to learn about at college--

So we'll draw the tops of the buttons like this...

lines down and around for the bottom,

and little lines for the corners.

There, buttons.

So, our first clue was numbers.

And now our second clue is buttons.

So, what could Blue want Steve to bring to college

with numbers and buttons?

Good idea.

But I think we should find our last clue.

Come on.

SALT: Joe!

We need your help again.

Oh, we're almost ready for Steve's surprise party.

I'll let you know when it's time.

Time? Time for what?

to help us think of this ringing sound.

We have all three clues to help figure out

what Blue wants Steve to bring to college.

Where do we sit to figure this out?

Let's figure it out.

Then we can really surprise Steve at the surprise party.

Okay, now that we're in our Thinking Chair, let's think.

So, what could Blue want Steve to bring college with numbers...

buttons...

and a ringing sound?

Well, maybe the numbers are on the buttons.

Yeah.

And maybe it makes a ringing sound.

Well, what has buttons with numbers

and makes a ringing sound?

A telephone.

A telephone, yeah.

Blue wants Steve to bring a telephone to college

so he can call and talk to her.

We just figured out Blue's Clues!

♪ We sat on down, figured it out ♪

♪ What Blue's Clues were all about. ♪

♪ Wow, you know what?

♪ We're really smart.

SALT: Psst, Joe, it's time!

Oh, it's time for Steve's surprise party.

Come on.

All right, everybody,

let's get ready for the surprise.

SIDE TABLE: Everyone, hide.

Right, here's the plan: When Steve walks in,

Blue will turn on the light

and everybody needs to yell "Surprise!"

STEVE: Where is everybody?

Here comes Steve.

Don't forget to yell "Surprise," okay?

SIDE TABLE: He's coming-- quiet, everyone.

Hello?

ALL: Surprise!

[music playing]

Is this a surprise party for me?

Yep, it's a good-bye- good-luck-at-college surprise party!

ALL: ♪ Steve is going to college!

♪ Steve is going to college!

[cheering]

Thanks.

Look, we have something for you.

Oh, it's a card... for me.

That's me at college.

And there's a message inside.

Ooh, will you help me read the message to Steve?

Great.

Okay, here we go.

"Dear Steve, today you're going to...

"college to learn about...

"music, outer space and art,

"and we're all going to miss you...

"because you're so smart.

Love, your friends and family."

Wow... thanks so much.

You know, I'm going to take this to college with me

because it'll remind me of you.

[Blue barks]

Blue, you want me to bring a phone to college?

What a great way for us to stay friends.

[laughs]

Well... guess, I'm off to college.

SIDE TABLE: It is?

SALT: Already?

[horn honks]

It's the bus.

The bus is here.
