ALICE: "A rose between two thorns."

Whoa, it's so... It's sparkly.

Oh, isn't it?

The garden is blooming
with healing ingredients

that can help Wonderlanders feel better.

Just like this, dewdrop.

And you use them
to brew your soothing teas?

Sure do. Take a look.

Here's where I keep all my pollen puffs,
dewdrops, honeycomb.

It's like my pantry.

But I've never made
anything like this before.

My teas help soothe any wonderland worry.

From a thistle who's lost his whistle

to a campfire fly with a horse voice.

Oh, there he is now.

(neighs)

Curiouser and curiouser.

I got just the brew for those neighs.

-Would you like to help, Alice?
-I'd love to.

I'm learning so much from our lessons.

All we have to do is follow my recipe.

I certainly know how to do that.

There's nothing I love more
than making my garden friends feel better.

It's what these petals were born to do.

MOTHER ROSE: There you are, precious.

(neighs)

(wind blows)

Oh my, it seems the Wonderland winds
have picked up.

-That always means one thing.
-What's that?

(wind continues blowing)

(grunts)

-Whoa, carnation.
-Hey, hey, watch the stems.

Oh, Mother Rose,
I'm feeling all twisty, untangling.

We all are.

Well, I'll be busy
brewing remedies all day.

(Hattie and Fergie laugh)

Oh, do you have a remedy for a top hat
that's a flop hat?

I leap to when I should have a frog.

Oh. None for hat, sweetpea.

Alice, we better cut our lesson short.

-The flowers need me.
-We'll let you get brewing.

FERGIE: Have a golden afternoon.

Bye.

Huh! Hey, get back here.

I would if I could.

-Cheshire, where are you going?
-Whoa.

To see Mother Rose.
My tail has a serious case of the spins.

Oh, looks fun to me.

I'm hoping Rose can help me
get my tail back to what it was.

Because clearly, it is what it wasn't.

Mother Rose is busy
brewing tea remedies for the flowers,

but I'm sure she'll be able to help.

She always has time for everyone.

(laughs)
Then let's go.

Whoa.

-Need a hand?
-Whoa.

And hat or ear? I can't seem to steer.

Heads up! Or is it tails?

-Oh, Cheshire. Oh my.
-(Alice sighs)

Looks like we need one more tea remedy,
Mother Rose.

I've got a tail that can't decide
if I should go this way or that way.

Oh, I can fix this
in two shakes of a cat tail,

but I'm afraid I've got my leaves full
at the moment.

I don't mind sticking around.

-Hm.
-(grunts)

-(Alice grunts)
-CHESHIRE: Oh, thanks.

Blooming bluebells, that won't do.

Alice, do you feel ready
to brew a tea for Cheshire?

Yes, just tell me what to "brew".

I mean, "do". Brew and do.

Let's see. You'll need one cherry-cherry.

Ginger root, a fuchsia petal

and a dash of pink pepper.

Thanks. We'll have Cheshire's tail
unspinning in no time.

(Cookie sniffs)

Oh, smells like spring.
(giggles)

Now, what is the recipe say?

-Grind the ingredients one by one.
-Check.

Swirl them in the water and have some fun.

Now, count down. Three, two, one.

ALICE: Add an ice cube
and then you're done.

Check out the tail on that steam.

Mother Rose's recipe just for you.
Drink up.

(slurps)

Oh, thanks, Alice.

It's nice to have my paws back
on the ground.

But I can't hang around.

I'm late for your birthday party.

-Who? Me?
-Or me?

Could be.

-Mother Rose.
-MOTHER ROSE: Golden afternoon.

Oh, Alice, the Wonderland winds
had really picked up.

And now it seems the whole garden
needs a tea remedy.

The pansies are tangled.

The cymbal frogs are clinging
instead of clanging.

And the violets have turned orange.

-Whiskers.
-Oh, sounds serious.

I'll never be able to get through
all these orders and wonders.

I'd be happy to help.

And we happen to be the fastest
delivery team in Wonderland.

-(chuckles)
-Oh, thank you.

I didn't know how I was going to help
all the little buds

in the garden by myself.

We'll get started right away.

Oh, I feel lighter on my stems already.

Oh!

My star, Jasmine. Ouch.

-Are you okay?
-Oh, I'm fine.

I think I bumped my funny leaf,
which turns out isn't that funny?

Why don't you take a seat
and relax your roots?

Oh, it's just a little bump.

Besides, I have to get back to the garden.

The flowers need me. See you later.

We better get started
if we're going to make all these teas.

(giggles)
Let's get brewing.

COOKIE: Phew.

And done.

I can't believe we finished
all those recipes.

You said it, lemon drop.

Oh, my pages are starting to curl
from all this steam.

Whoa, all the deliveries are done.

(sighs)
Do you have a recipe for a foot soak?

My feet won't stop bumping.

(grunts)

(meows)

What in Wonderland?

Bake me boxes from Mother Rose
with more tea orders.

More? Oh, dear.

Ha! Rosie must be busy as a rumble bee.

(shrieks)

No time to rest our stems or...

I mean, legs.
(gasps)

Let's get back to brewing.

-One licorice root in a daffodil dewdrop.
-Coming up.

Ready for instructions, Fergie?

It says to steep a teapot
in the daffodil dewdrop.

-That better be one big dewdrop.
-That's curious.

Maybe we should start
with the next recipe.

Add a saucerful of sunshine.

Who doesn't like the... sun?

(purrs)

This one says start at the end
and when you get to the beginning, stop.

We can't brew a tea with instructions
that don't make sense.

That doesn't sound like the Rosie I know.

She'd never send out a remedy
that needs remedying.

Maybe we should check on her.

Don't worry, Thistle,
I'll get to yours next.

Oh, ouch.

Oh, hello, Alice.

Mother, Rose, let us help you.

Oh, no need to fuss.
I'm just a little tired.

I've been on my stems all day
brewing teas.

Speaking of brews, we had some questions
about your new orders.

Add a teaspoon to two twirls.

Oh, well, that doesn't make sense.

Did I write that?

I think it's time to take a rest, Rosie.

Yeah, your cheeks look rosier than usual.

But the flowers.

There are buds that still need me.

We understand.
We can help with the other buds.

But first, maybe you should sit down.

Well, a little break wouldn't hurt. Ouch.

Are you okay?

Oh, it's just a little ingrown thorn.

I think it was that bump in the bakery.

Ouch.

Sounds like the flower
who really needs a remedy is you.

(groans)

I suppose I've been so busy brewing.
It got worse.

Maybe I have something
in my Comfort Foods chapter.

"Tummy taming tarts.

Laughing lemon drops
Dancing Dutch cakes." Ugh.

Now, there's nothing to soothe
and ingrown thorn.

Good thing I just had a lesson
from Wonderland's best rose.

I can brew you something
to whisk your pain away.

Spring morning, dewdrop.
Wonderland honeycomb.

-Got it.
-Heads up.

(both laugh)

(giggles)

We're full steam ahead on this brew.

One reborn thorn tea just for you.

Smells like a frolic through tolgy wood.

(slurps)
Ah...

Oh, I haven't felt this good in seasons.

This will definitely do the trick.

Thank you, Alice.

Oh.

But now, I better get back
to taking care of the rest of the garden.

Oh, we can wait, Mother Rose.

We just wanted to make sure
that you were okay.

Oh, thank you, my little dewdrop.

Looks like it's time to cook up your stems

and let your loved ones take care of you.

Mother Rose, any chance
I can get a tail spinning tea?

I miss my tail being a miss.

(exhales deeply)
Maybe in a bit, Cheshire.

Right now,
I'm enjoying my favorite ingredient.

Love.

-Oh, what a good tea.
-This tea hits the spot.

ALICE: "Double Dinah."

(playful music)

Do you think you can find them, Cheshire?

It's so dark.
You'd think it was nighttime.

Shadow sprouts
do not like sunlight, Alice.

These veggies only grow
in the deepest of shadows.

Whiskers. I don't see any veggies.

(screams)

(hooting)

Well, I'd be surprised
if anything grows here.

Then prepare to be surprised.

(humming)

Looks like Dinah wants to help.

(meows)

Us cats know a thing or
about being curious, don't we?

Time for a little gardening.

(meows)

Curious.

-(laughs)
-Shadow sprouts. You found them.

I am impressed.

Is there anything you don't know
about Wonderland?

Hmm. Let me think.

No.

I know the who and what,
the where and when of everything. Try me.

-Who gave me this apron?
-March Hare.

What toothpaste do I use?

Bunny chompers with mint.

What number am I thinking of?

Oh, trick question.
You're thinking of a hot dog.

(munching)

This guy's good.

I'm simply a cat that can't be surprised.

Enjoy the shadow sprouts. Ta-ta!

I'd love to do something nice
for Cheshire to thank him for his help.

I give him a hot dog.
Oh, but I ate my last one.

I can bake him something
for a surprise dinner.

Sounds delicious.

But there's no surprise in Cheshire.

It's worth a try.

We just need to keep him away
from the bakery until I'm done cooking.

On it. Fergie and I love missions.

Great. Find something to do
with Cheshire until dinner.

Then bring him over for the meal.

One question.
What are you making for dinner?

It's a surprise.

(engine rumbles)

Cheshire, are you home?

I think he's tailing a hatter
and a rabbit.

Thanks, Cheshire. Whoa!

Cheshire. There you are.

We need your help with our mission.

It'll take us all day to finish
but only until dinnertime.

(both giggle)

Yup. Who knows where it will take us.

Except anywhere near Alice's Bakery.

Dinnertime. Alice's Bakery.

Hmm.

What surprising details.

Who said anything about a surprise?

Yeah. Our mission is to...

-To...
-To...

Find some periwinkle parsley.

Oh, good one. I mean, yes.

You're in luck.

Periwinkle parsley grows
right here near my tree.

Over here?

Just a little to the left.

Uh... This way?

Just a little to the left.

Now, time to find out more
about the surprise dinner at the bakery.

-HATTIE: Maybe that way?
-CHESHIRE: Just a little to the left.

(Cookie giggles)
So, lemon drop. What are we making?

I want to try something
I've never done before.

Something to really surprise Cheshire.

Oh, cumbersome cucumber sandwiches.

Okay. Million melon ball menagerie.

Nope. I want to cook without a recipe.

Try baking freestyle.

Yes, I have so many ideas.

(meows)

Glad you both like the plan.

Since Fergie and Hattie
are keeping Cheshire busy,

it gives us time
to stretch our baking muscles.

All right, let me show you some spices
I've been saving for a special occasion.

(giggles)

(laughs)

Oh, well, that was fun.

Now, to sniff out the surprise.

(sniffing)

ALICE: I think it's a really great idea
to make it a surprise,

so Chester doesn't expect anything.

(gasps)
Oh, so the surprise dinner is for me.

How thoughtful.

I must find out what they're making.

(meows)

Can't talk now, Dinah.
Curiosity has got a hold of this cat.

(purrs)

All those spices gave me even more ideas
for our freestyle dish.

Oh, we've just scratched the surface
of seasoning possibilities.

A cat's eye view of the action.

-(meows)
-Oh, hey. Oh, shoo. Go.

(meows)

(chuckles)
Yes, Dinah, I'm excited

to make Cheshire's surprise dinner too.

(meows)

(humming)
Aha! A dusty disguise. Perfect.

(meows)

You again?

(meows)

This one or this one?

Hmm? I can't decide.

(howling)

(gasps)
What in Wonderland.

(meows)

Looks like some kitty tracks
their itty-bitty paws in the flour.

(purrs)

Oh, well, you're down there, pumpkin.
Get us another scoop of flour.

(meows)

(upbeat music)

Ooh. Who put on the tunes?

Oh! But a more important question,
can you crank it up, Alice?

Oh, yeah. I love baking to a b*at.

(upbeat music)

Now, if I could only remember
where the celery stalked off here.

I think it's down with the button
and zipper mushrooms.

(purrs)

(meows)

Oh, pumpernickel, spotted again.

Good thing these stripes
were made for speed.

(laughs)

You'll never catch me.

Yes. Get that exercise. Go, Dinah.

-(Cheshire laughs)
-(Dinah meows)

I'm running out of places to hide.

-(meows)
-(grunting)

Oh, is that your cupboard? Apologies.

-ALICE: Dinah.
-COOKIE: Here, kitty, kitty.

If it's Dinah they want,
it's Dinah they'll get.

Oh, I'm adorable.

Where are you, Dinah?

Alice! Alice, we lost Cheshire.

Huh? Curious, cause we can't find Dinah.

She's right there.

Um...
(clears throat)

-Meow.
-You're not Dinah.

Are you sure? I mean... meow.

It's a Cheshire kitten. Aww.

Cheshire, what are you doing here?
And why are you a kitten?

I... Well, you see.

Oh, I can't help myself, Alice.

I told you, when a surprise is a foot,
I just have to know what it is.

You figured out
we were planning a surprise for you.

You are good.

-So if you're Cheshire, where's Dinah?
-In there.

-(gasps)
-Not that cupboard!

He's gone.

But how? She was just here.

This isn't just any cupboard.

We don't know where this one goes.

I've been in there dozens of times.

You just step right in,
and it leads somewhere new every time.

It's actually fun.

But it also means
we don't know where Diana is.

This bakery is full of surprises.

We'll think like Dinah.

Meow, meow, meow.

First, we need to think like me.

When dealing with surprises,

surprising decisions
can have surprising results like this one.

Dinah's behind one of these doors.

ALICE: But which one?

(sniffs)

Not this one.

-Oops. Sorry.
-(owl hooting)

(playful music)

This might take a while.

Now, it's time to think like Dinah.

We have to find a door small enough
for her kitten paws to open.

Oh, we have a winner?

It's locked. We can't get in.

Maybe you can't.

(snoring)

Meow.

Dinah? You found her.

(grunts)

-(meows)
-Aw.

(chuckles)
I love snuggles.

Now, why don't we finish making dinner?

Oh, I don't know, Alice.

-I've already spoiled the surprise.
-Not quite.

Nobody knows what we're having.
Not even me.
