05x04 - Episode 4

Post by bunniefuu »

After having returned to Italy and infiltrated the family of Baron Linori, the head of the consortium SicilTeknoPlus, Ex

-policeman Davide Licata is targeted by Judge Silvia Conti, who arrests him.

When his true identity is revealed, she asks him to continue for her the infiltration which he started with Captain Simon Barth.

Davide, who was present when Baron Linori d*ed and who heard his final words: "Andrea needs to go to Garmisch", puts Silvia on the trail of Tano Cariddi, who has escaped from the police mental hospital and who has started to work for the Linori family, now led by Andrea Linory, who has just returned from the United States with his wife Gloria and their son Ninni.

Silvia does not know that Tano has been contacted by Antonio Espinosa, who is in the process of involving Annibale Corvo and Riccardo Respighi, an ex

-politician who is about to return unscrupulously to the limelight, in his criminal schemes.

Neither Silvia nor Davide know that Espinosa and Tano are secretly trying to ruin Andrea, making him participate, through SicilTeknoPlus, which he is President of, in a criminal plan that they'll profit from.

Nor do they know that Espinosa and Tano plan to get rid of him as soon as he is no longer useful.

In order to do this Tano needs to put Corvo out of the picture, and to do this he manages to have him arrested.

In the meantime, Silvia is temporarily removed from the invstigation.

And Davide is there when Ninni, the son of Andrea and Gloria, is tragicaly k*lled in a terrible trap organized by Corvo, who has just regained his freedom.

The Octopus 5 The Hearth of the Problem Part 4 In other words, you are convinced that these terrible deaths that the Linori family have experienced, the latest of which occured only three hours ago, are the result of a Mafia w*r to secure the 50 billion that has already been paid out under the Respighi law? Yes, that's what I think.

The terrible things that have recently happened can't be explained in any other way.

Listen, I'm very tired and I'm sickened by what's happening.

The head Prosecutor has asked me not to be involved in the investigation for the time being.

You are the head of the Parliamentary Commision that is investigating the relationship between organized crime and politics, You need proof, but I don't have any proof.

If you don't have proof that's okay, it doesn't matter.

All I want you to do is tell us what you think.

What you say will simply be understood to be what you, with your e3xperience, wanted to "suggest" to this Commission.

I think that many years ago Giovanni Linori was very involved with the Mafia.

I think, however, that for some reason that I don't know, he recently didn't agree with them about a transaction involving the twenty billion.

What you're saying is very serious.

You think that Giovanni Linori was involved with the Mafia? I'm only guessing.

I'm sorry, I don't understand.

Why would the Mafia want to get its hands on the twenty billion? Whoever controls that money will have to carry out the scheduled public works, so they won't be able to use it for any other purpose.

That's what I was trying to find out.

How can you know all this, but at the same time maintain that you have no proof? What has made you believe these things? I can't tell you.

Do you have an informer within Please, Mr.

Chairman.

I can't answer that.

You're so small So small What will you do without me? What will you do in that cold dark place? What will you do without your mother? You're so small.

What will you do? Just a moment.

Come on Gloria.

Let's go.

No! No! Don't take him away from me! He is mine! He is mine! Don't be afraid, Ninni.

Don't be afraid my child.

Blessed is the one who is invited to dine in the kingdom of God.

Here is the lamd of God who takes away the sin of the worls.

Lamb of God, have pity on us.

Lamb of God, have pity on us.

Give us peace.

Move it! Hands up! Turn around! Put your hands on the wall! You scumbag! You traitor! Your days as a spy are finished Stop, police! Are you okay? Yeah.

I'm okay.

This guy, on the other hand Luckily we arrived just in time.

Why did you call us? For this.

It's a coded message.

Let's see if we can cr*ck it.

Perhaps this is the key to encoding it Yes, that's it.

We've got it! From SicilTeknoPlus, Italy.

To Waxman Bank, 451 Ghelel Street, Luxemburg.

The transfer of the five billion has commenced.

This sum will be put into account number 7453221.

Five billion? That has to be a mistake.

Maybe not, Keep going.

It's definitely five billion.

You are saying that Andrea Linori shifted five bilion overseas? It's not his or his family's money.

It is the state's money.

It's the first allocation under the Respighi law.

It's true.

Yes, but why are they transfering it to Luxemburg? What's Waxman bank? I wouldn't know.

I don't understand.

I'll go and check it out in Luxemburg.

How can we? Without authorisation? Without All I said was that I was going to check it out.

No more.

I think that this bank belongs to Linoris.

You might be right.

I know who can confirm if you are right or not.

Who? The Puppeteer.

The Puppeteer? The old head of the Mafia? But he is in the U.

S.

The Americans let him go.

Do you know where he is? He's in Germany, in a secret spot.

I need to speek to him.

I don't think that he'll be able to tell you I think that he'll be able to.

I think that in 1970 no one could have eliminated an entire police squad without him hearing about it beforehand.

These two will go to Luxemburg, and you and I will go to Germany.

What do you think? Suits me.

Me too.

When do we leave? Don't you think that I should be the person who decides? They've done their good deeds for the day, and I haven't thanked them yet.

Be kind.

It's not possible.

He risked his life for us.

I saw it with my own two eyes.

He works for Judge Silvia Conti.

I don't know if he is a policeman or something else.

But I do know that he left for Germany with the judge a few minutes ago.

I had Donato and two other man follow them.

Ninni gave him one of his toys When we know what he's gone looking for, what should we do? k*ll him.

Andrea Linori's wife, Gloria, has nothing to do with it.

She's the only innocent person in this whole thing.

When all this is over, I want you to let her go.

- How can you be sure that

- I know she is.

Just like I know that you aren't just looking for criminals and murderers.

I just know.

What else am I looking for? What we're all looking for.

To be able to sleep at night without having nightmares, without hearing ghosts, without remembering.

Not all memories are bad.

Those that you and I have are.

Why us? Because they make us live in the past.

A couple of days ago your son came to the police station.

He's not the past.

He's alive, he exists.

You're going to have to face up to him sooner or later.

I've missed so much.

His first steps, his first words, everything.

Many years ago, one night when I couldn't sleep, I thought that perhaps at exactly that time, he was leaving Marta to go to school for the first time.

I tried to imagine him wrestling wit friends.

On a merry

-go

-round.

The only thing that's given me strenght over these past years is thinking abot the life that he's been having.

His school, his friends, clothes, books, music, sport.

His first kiss.

A life he was able to have because I was far away.

If I'd stayed, sooner or later they would have k*lled him.

Let's go.

This is the address that I was given.

Let's go.

Hi Lorella.

Do you remember me? I need to talk with your father.

My dad is not here today.

Don't be scared, this is a personal visit.

I don't believe you.

You want to arrest him.

Let her in, Lori.

Who's he? A colleague.

You promised that you would leave me in peace.

What do you still want from me? I've talked to judges from all over the world.

I gave you headlines, promotions, pay rises.

Isn't that enough for you? I've told you everything I needed to.

Not everything.

Of course, it wasn't everything! Have you given me back everything you took from me? Everything you took forever? I didn't come here to talk.

I came here to find something out.

To find out what exactly? What was going on at SicilTeknoPlus at the begining of the seventies? We called it "The magic pot".

It's fairly huge pot and it's filled with billions.

It was amazing.

The more you put in it, the better it smelled.

And the more you ate, the more there was to eat.

What was its secret? So, that's what you want to know, the secret dr*gs.

Giovanni Linori was the first person to bring them into Italy on a big scale.

And the cash ended up in Waxman Bank, in Luxemburg, right? That's right.

But you, the Mafia, you didn't have anything to do with Linori's drug trafficking? Nothing at all.

That was the agreement.

What agreement? For the first two years, Linori got everything.

He discovered a way to finance the first shipments.

After that initial period, all of it was supposed to go to us.

And that's what happened.

That's how the massive heroin trade, which would revolutionize the worl economy, commenced.

Get out you bastard! Don't sh**t! Please!

- Who sent you?

- I don't know.

They just told me to follow you.

What was going on behind the construction of Alcantara port? I don't know anything about the Alcantara port.

That's not true! The port was built around that time, and the head of the special force, Giorgi, was k*lled because he discovered something about Alcantara.

I don't want to talk about this.

It was in the agreement.

Freeze! That's right.

Good.

You! Donato, let her go.

She has nothing to do with this.

Where's the American? Dad! Don't move.

I'll k*ll you, you bastard.

No! Davide, let him go.

Get out, taqke your staff and get out now! Where are we going? Garmisch.

Why are we going to Garmisch? Dad! You know what's at Garmisch, don't you? I don't know what you are talking about.

Yes, you do.

And when we get there you're going to tel me, because if you don't, I'll sh**t you.

Davide, I won't let you I'm not a judge.

I'm not a policeman.

I'm nothing.

Do you understand? I don't follow rules, I don't care about agreements.

I've been waiting for twenty years for this, and you're not going to stop me.

Not you or anyone else.

Gloria, you should eat something.

You should get out.

Do you want to go for a walk in the woods? Before he d*ed, Giovanni Linori said that his son should come here.

There is something here that Andrea could use to protect himself from his enemies.

But I haven't found anything at all, not one document, not one sheet of paper.

Help me! How old you are? Eighteen.

I have a son that's about your age who hates me.

You know why? Because many years ago I annoyed some of your dad's friends.

They weren't my friends! I didn't want anything to do with dr*gs.

Like he always said, Giovanni Linori was his own agent.

But you know what is so important about this house.

Don't you? You were the boss, you knew everything.

Is that right? Dad, what was the point of telling them all those things, if you keep the worst things to yourself? The most appalling things.

What sort of truth is half the truth? The kind that allows us to be still alive today.

Don't you understand that there are things, and people, who should be left alone? No, I don't understand.

All I know is that you're still lying.

I'm leaving, Dad.

Where are you going? There's only one thing you can do to convince me to stay.

Tell them what you know.

What happened twenty years ago? Come on.

What secret is hidden in this house? I remember that when Giovanni Linori came back from Asia, he was so certain, he seemed strong.

What trip to Asia? A trip that he made in the winter of that year.

It was there that he got in contact with the raw heroin producers.

And it was then that he proposed to us that he'd finance the trafficking, and pass the goods on to us.

He was sure that no one could stop him.

He said that his back was covered.

I believe that Linori returned from Asia with something that allowed him to blackmail someone.

Something that he got over there, that he must have hidden here, in a place where no one would think to come and find it.

But it had to be something that he couldn't reveal, even when they k*lled his son.

Otherwise he would have done it.

That's why he only revealed it when he knew he was dying.

What would you look for in this house? I would look for something that came from Asia.

Something like that.

I know that Licata works here and I want to talk to him.

Why? Sorry, but that's none of your business.

Who are you? I'm his son.

Are you going to tell me if he's here or not? Wait here.

Have you checked the judge's house, the hotel and the apartments of the two policemen? I've checked everywhere.

Tell him that we fired Licata and have him followed.

It looks like we've found our bait.

It's very dark I can't see anything.

It's quite damaged, probably from the humidity.

Do you think that they could do anything at the lab? Yes.

We have to get back to Italy.

Trevi and Quadri are waiting for us in Luxemburg.

There's a small airfield nearby.

We could rent a helicopter for us, the girl and her dad.

I'm not coming.

You can't stay here.

I will come with you to the helicopter.

Make Lorella get on first.

Then tell her that her dad has decided to stay alone.

It's the last favour I'll ask of you.

Take her far away from me.

Okay.

We'll do it.

Do you know what? When I was a boy I wanted to be a bricklayer.

To put up good strong walls, like the ones in this house.

Where a string would fall straight to the floor without any calculations.

And perhaps knowing how without being able to read or write.

But I was Don Rafeles's son.

The son of a man who did nothing, but who was respected by all.

When people asked him how life was treating him, he would reply: "like a king".

And so I had to live like a king, too.

He'd already decided for me.

I wanted Leorella to live like a queen too.

Instead people now say things about me as though I'm sick, they say that I will infect all that I touch.

If you are sick, and can't be cured, you shouldn't live with others.

I've cursed her.

- Calm down, Lorella.

- Dad, please, you can't do this.

- Calm down.

- Dad, no! He decided to do it.

He wants to be alone.

Let me go! Please! No! We can't do anything.

- Please, don't let him, let me go.

No!

- Calm down.

He wanted to do it.

He did it for your own good, to put you out of harm's way.

I've been thinking about a lot of things.

For example, when I was little and used to ask you why you weren't married.

When I used to look through the photos to see if there was one of him but I couldn't find any.

Or that time when I looked through your drawers in the hope of finding a letter, or a diary, and found nothing.

The only thing I knew was the story you had told me: that one day he left just like that, probably because he was in love with someone else, leaving behind a child with no last name, and a broken motor

-scooter.

Believe me, he couldn't do it any other way.

Don't defend him, Mom.

There's no need.

I've worked it all out.

What have you worked out? That he was a loser without any skills, someone who lived in the underworld.

You see, I worked it out.

When he came into the hotel with the g*n in his hand, you could tell that he was used to it, that he's a man that sleeps with his g*n under his pillow.

I'm sure that that's how he is.

You can see it in his face.

You saw him, didn't you? You still love him, don't you? Tell me.

Is that why you won't tell me anything? Stefano.

It hurts me to see you suffer like this.

I'm not suffering for no reason.

If I see him again, I'll spit at him, I swear.

I'll have him put in prison.

- Come here.

- Who are you? We need to talk to you.

What do you want from me? Stefano! No! Let me go! What do you want? Let's go.

That's the Waxman Bank.

It's incredible.

The whole bank takes up only three rooms.

The employee works in the first room.

He does nothing all day.

The manager is in the second room.

And the third room is the data room.

That's where we need to get to.

You see over there, on the right there's a safe.

Inside there're disks recording all the completed transactions.

The combination was recorded in here.

We've decoded it.

The combination is 8

- 32

- 9

- 58

- 43

- 11.

The problem now is how to get to the safe.

There must be some mistake.

It's not possible that a bank like that could house billions.

Have you seen anything strange in these past few days? The strange thing is that no one ever goes there.

The only customer that has gone through those doors in the last four days was me.

And how did it go? Really badly.

They only accept deposits of over 100 million.

Have you been able to find out anything about the owner? Yes.

The bank belongs to a company.

It was formed in 1970 and there's been nothing out of the ordinary about it, no investigations, scandals or anything.

We have to try and get in there somehow.

I don't know how.

Maybe at night.

I'm a judge, not a bank robber.

And we're all very tired.

You haven't slept for two nights either.

Let's go to bed.

Stefano Stay calm.

Who are you? What do you want? Let me go! We want to know who Dave Licata is.

We We don't know who you're talking about Don't waste my time, I don't have much.

I know he's spy, but I don't know anything else.

Tell me about him.

I used to know him a long time ago.

It's been 20 years since Tuccio.

No, let her go! You're going to talk.

Bitch, tell me what you know.

Let her go!

- If you don't tell me,

- Let her go! I'll blow your face into pieces.

Let her go, you bastard! Okay, let her go.

You tell me instead.

I don't know anything.

I don't know who you're talking about.

No! Let her go you bastard.

Don't touch her! You disgusting pig! You make me sick! Let her go or I'll k*ll you! Tuccio, that's enough.

Let her go.

You really don't know anything, otherwise you would have talked.

You want to act the saint, do you? You want to be brave? Very well, watch this then.

No, not him! He doesn't know anything.

Let him go, please.

If I cut him just a little, his heart will do the work.

It will take a whole day for him to die of blood loss.

But if I also cut him here It will only take twelwe hours.

And here, it'd only take him a few minutes to die.

Where would you prefere me to do it? Let him go.

I'll tell you everything that I know.

Dave Licata is not his real name.

His name is Davide Pardi.

Many years ago he belonged to a special force led by Giorgi, they were all k*lled, only he escaped.

One of Giorgi's men Listen very carefully to me.

Was he the one that escaped to Zurich and then disappeared? Yes, that's him.

He's the one that you didn't manage to k*ll.

Why should we believe you? You don't fool me! Whore! In my jacket pocket there's the last letter that Davide wrote.

It's years old.

I wanted Stefano to read it, so he'd know about his father.

Davide.

Come here please, I need to talk with you.

Let's talk inside.

What is it? Listen.

If you want to get into that bank, I can help you.

How? Before he left my father gave me this.

It's the details of a Swiss bank account in my name.

It has 800m million in it.

I don't want the money.

It's money that my father earned by hurting people.

If what Quadri said is true, that the bank only accepts deposits of over a hundred million, we can go and deposit this money.

Kids are so strange.

They always do the opposite of what you'd expect.

Let's do it.

But please don't say anything to the others.

Okay, Marta, my love, I'm alone here in Tolone, in a small inn by a river, and I'm thinking of you.

I don't know if I made amistake, or why the others d*ed.

I don't know why they're still looking for me.

All I know is that one day they'll find me.

Promise me that you'll never tell Stefano what happened.

Keep him far from such horrors.

Don't let him grow up in fear.

Instead, tell him that despite everything, the world is good.

Do you remember when, just days ago, he rippedmof my chain? I still have my medal.

It's all that I have left of you.

I love you both.

Davide.

You kept this inside you for all these years? I promised him I would.

How could you? How could you have been so strong? Strenght comes to you when you need it.

And I needed to protect you.

Do you still love him? It's impossible not to love a man like your father.

What I mean is, if he were here, would you get back together? Too much time has passed.

We were practically children.

He was so far away I started to think of him as though he was dead.

And one day, I realized I had fallen in love with someone else It happens.

You probably can't understand it, but I understand, Mom.

Now I understand everything.

Tano says that you have to finish of the transaction.

He says that you have to send the rest of the money overseas.

Andrea, listen to me.

You've got to get out of here.

Don't worry.

That's up to me to decide.

Tell Tano that I want Corvo.

Tell him I'll sign whatever he wants but first I want Corvo dead.

Let's swap, I'm exhausted.

Where are Davide and Lorella? I knocked on their doors but they didn't reply.

We haven't seen them.

Oh my God, there they are.

They've gone to the bank! Let me see.

Let me see, come on.

It's true! Final call for flight AZ 142 leaving for Milan at Gate 7.

- Marco!

- Hi.

Is everything all right? Hello, Mr.

Respighi.

This is for you, it's urgent.

Dad, don't tell me that Sorry dear, something unexpected has come up But I wanted to show you my wedding dress I'll be back soon.

Let's go.

What are they doing? They are crazy! He's trying to take disks But how on earth did they manage to meet the director? I can't watch.

Tell me what happens.

Come on! Come on, find it! Find SicilTeknoPlus, Davide! SicilTeknoPlus Hurry, come on! He's found them! Quadri, give me a hand.

I told you it'd be useful! And you didn't want me to bring them! What are you talking about? Abot this.

What's going on? Why did you make me come here? I'm not used to changing my plans.

Someone wanted to see you.

Hello.

Welcome.

You shouldn't have made me come here.

I won't let you do this.

Calm down.

It'll only take a few seconds.

You're a criminal, a m*rder*r, an escapee from a prison mental hospital.

That's right.

According to the state, I'm mad criminal.

But what about you? You say that you are trying to protect the nation, you consider yourself a man on an historic mission, you accept kidnappings and murders, who do you think you are? You're more crazy than I am.

Here you go.

Tell me what you have to say, let's get it over with.

My daughter is waiting for me.

That's actually why I'm here.

To stop your daughter from being put into danger tomorrow.

Tomorrow at the wedding? Tomorrow morning, when Corvo arrives, amongs the crowd will be some of Andrea Linori's men.

They are going to k*ll him.

Thanks for telling me, but he's already decided not to come.

Which is why you have to reassure him, convince him to go.

What? You are Listen to me! Mr.

Espinosa and I have been trying to start up again the business that Giovani Linori started all those years ago.

We're almost there.

Andrea Linori has already transferred out most of the cash that the state allocated to SicilTeknoPlus, but to seal the deal he wants Corvo's head.

We've got to give it to him, otherwise it won't work, and then we'll all be running for our lives.

The Mafia doesn't like it when a deal they've made doesn't work.

The Mafia will never let it happen.

Corvo has always been one of their men.

Corvo k*lled a chiled.

He is unreliable.

He's uncontrollable.

He's of no use to anyone anymore.

He's my friend.

And the father of the man my daughter is about to marry.

How cn you ask me to Corvo's death is the price that we absolutely have to pay.

After that we'll also get rid of Andrea Linori.

And then who will manage the money that will be assigned by the State? You.

Me? Not alone, of course.

With our help.

Once the rumors about SicilTeknoPlus die down, we'll create a new business consortium.

Many years ago you got out of politics just in time.

To avoid being caught up in a massive scandal.

As a result, you're now a respected man with a good public image.

All you would have to do would be to offer your services.

No one would oppose you.

And if there were any problems, we could look after them.

Come on, wake up! What's wrong? Oh, it's you.

It's a big mess.

This gizmo is good, but it has a tiny brain and it takes it a while to do things.

I came to give this back to Quadri.

He's sleeping over there.

I don't know how, but he's sleeping.

Good for him.

I recorded something on it.

Some thoughts about you, Quadri, Silvia and Davide.

To tell you what I'm feeling.

That I respect you, I like you.

- Want some?

- No.

No, thanks.

I'm going to bed.

Goodnight.

You do things that I wouldn't as though you don't care about life, as though you're ready to die at any moment.

Maybe I am Do you mind if I ask why? Why do you do these things? I don't know why.

Maybe because when they k*lled Giorgi and the others, I felt like it was unjust that fate had decided to spare me.

And so, many years ago I did everything I could to die.

I think I wanted to also get m*rder*d in some way.

The papers say that in some streets in New York, they k*ll you for a few dollars.

But I found that, strangely, those without hope, those that have hit rock bottom, can tell how you're feeling.

They smell you from a mile away.

They understand that you're more desparate than they are.

They leave you alone.

I'm no longer like that.

I don't want to die anymore.

I want to know.

I want to understand.

Open the door! Davide, open up! I've done it! I've decoded the oldest floppy disk, the one from 1970.

In 1970, SicilTeknoPlus, which had just been founded, made four transfers of 30 billion into the Waxman Bank, making a total of 120 billion.

For a man like Linori, getting around laws regulating international money transfers would have been child's play: all you need is a supply network of false invoices and a help of a corrupt official What happens next is the most incredible thing, though.

The money vanishes.

What do you mean, it vanishes? It vanishes.

It's no longer in the bank.

Take a look at this: at the start of 1971 the money is gone.

It probably got sent to another bank.

No, there is no trace of any other transaction.

I don't get it.

It sounds to me like they took it away in cash.

Of course! This code "ICS 900" must mean "cash".

It's repeated after all four deposits.

And like clockwork, fifteen days later, the money disappears.

Okay, let's try and work this out: In 1970 Giovanni Linori creates SicilTeknoPlus.

It receives massive state financing to build Alcantara Port.

There are bureaucratic holdups, work stops for a year and the money ends up in Waxman Bank.

From there it is withdrawn in cash.

But where does it go? What does the computer says? It's giving me a new code, "900", it's repeated all 4 times

- What does it mean?

- I don't know.

I'm trying to work it out now.

- My God!

- Come on, tell us! The 120 billion that disappeared returns, but it's multiplied by five.

Look, the 120 billion has become 600 bilion.

480 billion stays at the Waxman Bank, and 120 billion returns to SicilTeknoPlus in Italy.

How long after the initial transaction does this occur? One year.

There's only one commercial activity that can have a 500 percent return so quickly.

The drug trade! They used the state's money, the investor's money, and now, twenty years later, they want to do it again.

The twenty billion that has already been sent could fund an enormous shipment of dr*gs.

This means that the film reel that we found at Garmisch documents the agreement, the moment that Linori makes the deal with the drug traders.

We've got to go back to Italy.

Go and get Lorella.

But I saw her leave just a while ago in a taxi.

- I was going to ask you

- You idiot! You've all done a lot for me, but I don't want you to have to worry about me any more.

For same reason, I've always had the feeling that I was born poor, and now I am poor again.

I will find a job somewhere, as far away as possible.

I will think of you always.

I'm sending you all hugs and kisses, and I send an especially big kiss to my dear Trevi.

Dad! You're not ready yet? It's so late, how come? You're beautiful.

Marco is realy a lucky man.

Come on.

It's realy not the time for compliments.

I'm sorry.

I'm just trying to delay our separation.

I'm a little jealous, you know.

Come on, help me put on my tie.

Congratulations! Thanks for the invitation.

The congratulatory calls never stop.

Yes? My darling.

What's wrong, Dad? You have gone pale.

Are you okay? I'm so sorry.

You're going to have to be very strong.

Something terrible has happened.

I need you to do something for me.

What is it? Please send a telex for me.

Tell Waxman Bank that the final deposit will arrive shortly.

I have to tell you that I was very unsure abot calling this meeting at such a tragic time, but I have the feeling that there's something huge going on, something terrible.

Tell me what it is.

I hope that I can help you, but as you know, I've been out of politics for years.

I know, but I come because of your personal authority, your past, and most of all because of the fact that I intend to repeal the law that you introduced.

You're going to repeal the Respighi law? Yes.

I want to ask Parliament to immediately stop finance, and to freeze the funds that have been paid out under it.

At least until all of the business involved, such as SicilTeknoPlus, are subjected to accurate control.

No Parliamentary Commision has ever done such a thing.

This one will.

Are things realy that bad? Judge for yourself.

The state allocates the first 20 billion to SicilTeknoPlus and the Linori family experience extreme v*olence.

Even a child is k*lled, and for the sole reason that he is a Linori.

One of its most important managers, Annibale Corvo, is accued of corruption and thus is put out of the game, when it looks like he'll become the head of SicilTeknoPlus, and then he is m*rder*d.

Annibale Corvo was an innocent man.

He paid all his dues It looks like there's a battle going on, with the government's money in the middle of it.

We have to be carefull, we have to check things, we have to find out what's going on.

How can I help you do that? Tomorrow I'll send a detailed report to Parliament.

I want you to publicly declare that you support my proposal.

You know what that law means to me.

It was the highest point of my political career, of my ideological battle.

I know it's a lot to ask, but I also know that you have a strong sense of responsibility.

And I appeal to you now as a politician, not as a man.

Okay.

I'll do it.

I'll back you.

It's me.

Were you able to decode it? Listen.

Tomorrow the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commision will ask Parliament to stop all finance under the Respighi law.

It's a huge mistake, one that will cause incalculable harm to the Sicilian economy, to the South, to the entire country.

There's nothing I can do to stop him.

Okay, I understand.

Telex Message: From SicilTeknoPlus to Waxman Bank.

Latest DEposit: 7,000,000,000,000 Italian Lira Total Balance: 20,000,000,000,000 Italian Lira Signed: Andrea Linori Frigeri Airport.

November 10th.

I didn't know that you knew this place.

Why did you come here? For this.

It's a message for the Parliamentary Commision, and the government.

The message is mine, but I want you to take care of delivering it.

You want there to be a m*ssacre Where? At central station.

A lot of innocent people will die.

This is w*r.

And many wars have been fought for reasons worse than ours.

You don't think that I can just go for a walk and plan a b*mb.

Not you personally.

You will have to send your sister.

I've known for years that you have a sister.

Did you really think you could keep such a secret from me? But Maria can't, she's I know, she is special.

And that's why she's perfect.

You can't just pay someone to commit a m*ssacre.

We wouldn't be able to find anyone to do it for any price.

And we can't ask the Mafia, it'd be too much.

In exchange for their help we'd tie ourselves to them forever.

And if you think about it, no one would be able to put up with the guilt.

Your sister, on the other hand, doesn't understand, she can't understand.

And if by any chance something goes wrong, who would blame her? And at worst, it would only come back to me.

I'm really sorry, but I don't think you have a choice.

Your plans for the future, which I've got many of our friends to support, depend on this suitcase.

What are you doing? Is she yours? I know she's yours.

She's mine.

But you shouldn't look through my drawers ever again.

You understand? Maria, I need you to do something very important for me.

You have to take something to the station, and leave it in the waiting room.

Afterwards, you have to come back to me.

Look what I bought you.

Look at them.

They can't stay away from each other.

Look how much they love each other.

So, will you do it for me? Look how much they love each other.
