Oh yeah, I only planted these seeds here.

I've got pumpkin plant, acorn squash, and beets, that's it.

Wait, so seeds come from a store?

Well yes...

But, no not really...

of the plant that makes them.

So then were did this flower come from?

(Sniffing)

I got nothing.

Uh, ooh! Hal?

Taxi.

No wait, a subway? Agh! A Bus?

More maple seeds!

Whee!

Oh! So that's what these wingy things are for.

Whee! (Laughing)

They carry the seeds away from the tree to grow somewhere else!

So, the maple seeds travelled through the air!

Yep!

So it looks like plants can scatter their own seeds

so they can grow into new plants in the spring!

Yeah, Daisy!

Maybe this flower came from a seed

that travelled through the air!

NATURE CAT: Hmm...

I wonder if the seed for this flower got here

the same way as the one in Daisy's garden?

I wonder why there's only one plant here?

I wonder where the seed came from.

I wonder why this flower looks so familiar?

Do I look familiar to you? Because you look familiar to me.

Hey, check this out, you guys.

Look how the wind catches the dandelion fluff

and blows it away.

That fluff is carrying the seed!

Maybe the flower we're looking for

has seeds like these dandelions.

(Blowing)

Okay, now that is awesome!

But we need to keep looking

for where these flowers and their seeds came from.

Onward and yonward!

(Blowing)

Oh it's so fun! Hee-hee-hee!

Nature Cat, come on!

Uh, yes, of course!

(Blowing) Love that!

(Hal sniffing)

Aha!

Oh. Uh, sorry.

I... thought, you... were... flower...

bird... giant...

(Squawking)

Ahhh!

(Sniffing)

This all looks so familiar to me?

Why, Hal, why?

I don't know, Hal! I don't know!!!

Hey, guys, look.

These seeds don't travel on the wind.

They just fall with the apple from the tree to the ground.

Wah-- Wait. Let me get this straight.

If these apples are left here all winter,

a baby apple tree might grow from the seeds in the spring!

(Gasping) And that's nature!

(Munching)

Good day, my good possum!

Have you seen a flower like this?

Yup.

Where?

Here...

ALL: Wow!

Huh, I don't see evidence of any other flowers.

Or seeds, for that matter.

Good possum, sir,

have you by chance seen a field of these flowers anywhere?

Yup.

ALL: Where?

There.

ALL: Where there?

Butterfly Hill.

Onward and yonward!

Hi, another flower, but not the one we're looking for!

Oh, hello flower, but not the one we're looking for.

DAISY: Nope...

Nope. Uh-uh.

NATURE CAT: A dead end!

Is there no where else to go?

(Gasping) Hey, that's it!

(Sniffing)

Now I remember why this place is so familiar to me!

I buried good Ole' Yummy right here a year ago!

What? What are you looking at?

Uh, Hal, ook-lay ehind-bay ou-yay.

Wha?

Just look behind you.

It's the flowers! Hi, flowers!

SQUEEKS: We found the flowers! Whoo!

Hey, flowers, where ya been all my life?

(Chuckling) Here, I guess!

Whoa! They're so beautiful!

We definitely gotta plant a whole garden of them back home.

But we didn't find out how the seeds got down to our yard

from all way up here!

The investigation continues!

Huh... curious.

There's nothing here to catch the wind

like there is on the dandelion.

It just looks like these seeds

are at the bottom of each of these pointy things.

Here's what I don't get.

Our yard is so far away!

Yeah, how'd the seeds get there?

A taxi?

No wait, a bus! No, a bike.

No, a skateboard!

No wait, a plane! Oh no, wait, a car.

Oh wait, a monster truck!

Oh wait, a Segway!

Oh wait... I got nothing!

I think I know!

Those are the burrs from the flower,

and they got stuck to Hal!

Oh, wait, okay.

So Hal carried the flower's seeds to my garden?

Wait, I did who what where when?

Why?

NATURE CAT: After you buried the bone last year,

you had some seeds stuck to you just like you do now.

DAISY: And as you ran home, a few seeds fell off along the path.

SQUEEKS: And then some seeds got enough water and sunlight and soil,

and grew into a flower right where they fell off of you, Hal!

So seeds can fly away with the breeze...

Drop to the ground beneath the plant...

And even stick to the fur of animals!

Wow!

Hmm...

I would love a lot of these seeds to plant back home.

Hal?

Don't mind if I do!
