So, in July, Chay and I will have been
together for a year, uh, officially.

I asked her to be my girlfriend
on July 15th,

and we've been rocking ever since.

Chay is literally
the perfect woman for me.

She's the yin to my yang.
Like, we're...

Opposites attract. She is...
she is quite literally my opposite,

and we just... we mesh so well.
That's what I love the most about her.

-What are you guys drinking?
-I'm getting a beer.

Okay, let's do that.

When I met her,

I was going through, uh, the emotions
with, uh, breaking up with Jackie,

and at that time,
I just wanted to just chill.

But then when she came along,
it was, like,

I immediately just felt like
I needed to be with her.

She passed her boards, flying colors.

She's now, uh, Dr. Chay Barnes.

-[Chay] Yeah.
-Wow.

-Miss DNP.
-[Tiffany laughs]

-You're crushing it.
-Stop it. [laughs]

Chay makes me feel loved
every time she looks in my eyes.

That's one of the biggest
things that she does for me.

She makes me feel secure
in who I am as a man,

and she accepts me for me.

[Brett] All right. Duffleboard.

So, only one try to hit the ball.

If I hit it hard enough,

it's gonna curve up
and go directly into the hole.

[Brett] Losing couple gets the check?

[Marshall laughs]

-I'm joking.
-We gonna win this game.

-[Tiffany] Oh.

I've never really played flag football.

for, at this point, probably a decade.

Growing up as an only child,
I never had someone

to kind of bear the weight of, you know,
everything life has thrown at me.

And she's been such a rock.

She's a little blunt and a little
aggressive, but she just loves so deeply.

I feel like I wanna be the person
that I'm looking for.

I feel like there's so much
transitioning and changing in my life,

I think I need to do this on my own

and kind of get
to a healthy place in healing

before I'm in a place to meet somebody.

Be somebody you wanna date.
If you look in the mirror,

and you're like, "I wouldn't date myself,"
you need to stay home.

Kind of like, no one wants to date beans.
I'm just kidding.

-What about you? You have a boyfriend?
-[Shelby] Yes.

-So I've still got my same boyfriend.

just interesting.

it wasn't so black and white

until I heard that he's seeing someone.

It's just the confusing part is,
"Why are you still talking to me?"

I feel like there's a disrespect,
not just for me but for her.

I feel like there's, like, some overlap.

and have it for myself.

to give that to myself.

It's hard to because
I feel like in this day and age,

you have to be aggressive
to find someone,

I developed a friendship
with Kendra, Kacia, Monica.

The core four. We went to Palm Springs.

We have a good relationship.
We have a good friendship

to where we can just sit down
and keke and have a good time.

Kacia has really had my back
through everything.

Little things, like the phone calls,
she'll buy me flowers when she sees me.

She'll just do the littlest things
to make sure that I'm okay

and that I'm heard.

Um, how do you feel about seeing everybody
else at this... at this gathering?

Yeah, I'm excited.

There's a couple people I don't talk to.
Like, Micah and Irina,

we don't really have a thing.
Not for anything, any reason.

It's just we didn't form a connection,
but everyone else, I love.

I'm excited to see them.

-What about you?
-I don't talk to nobody over there.

So when I see them, it's like,
"Hey. Hey. Good to see you."

-Yeah. I feel that.
-"Hello." And then just keep it moving.

Go be with my baby most of the time.

But Marshall, you know, if he says, "Hi,"

You didn't talk this whole year.

-He's been blocked.
-I had him blocked too. We both do.

I was like, listen,

I was like, "Marshall, it's fine. Like,

I feel that. I feel like it could be
a little awkward, but I'm just gonna...

Kacia dating Marshall
after me and him broke up,

that has nothing to do with me.
That's their relationship.

She pulled me aside, and we had
a conversation where she was like,

"Hey, Marshall reached out.
We're trying to see each other,"

whatever the case is. That's fine.
Everybody has their opportunity

and everybody has the right
to go be happy.

You kept the ring.

-Yes, ma'am. I have the ring still.
-"Yes, ma'am."

Why do you think he wanted it back?

You could be completely candid.

-[laughs]

Marshall wanted the ring back because
he wanted to propose to another castmate.


Um, you dated someone else,
you spoke about this.

Kacia sent me
a very beautiful voice message.

-Okay. Uh-huh.
-We went on one singular date.

Wasn't expecting for him
to bring up my name.

I'm trying to move on to other stuff,
and now this brings it back up again.

But, um, yeah.
Like, I feel like he... he dismissed...

-He was a little dismissive about it.
-Mmm-hmm.

He was too cool.
He tried to play like he was too cool.

I get it. He was trying to make it

so it didn't seem like
what he did was on the same scale

of, like, you and Josh
moving on or whatever.

And honestly, to be honest,
it didn't start that way.

When I reached out to him, it wasn't like,
"Oh, I'm tryna talk to you."

I genuinely felt for him.
Obviously in the pods

I had a connection with him,
so I still cared.

Um, but it was really just to be like,
man, I know how that feels

to be broken on that type of level.
And I wanna make sure he knows,

like, "Hey, you have people out here who
care." Obviously I cared about you too.

But I just knew that
that would probably break him.

And so I was like, let me reach out.
And then one thing led to another,

but it was definitely more
than just one date.

Like, he literally was saying stuff
like, "Dang, I made a mistake."

"If I would have chosen you,
we probably would've been married."

I just think like the words in the...
the text, the conversations we shared,

-like, definitely more than one date.
-Yeah.

Of course, in the real world,
I would have never dated your fiancé.

-It's because it started in the pods...
-Yeah.

I wouldn't have, you know...

If I saw Marshall on the street,
he wouldn't be someone

that I would've been like, "Hey,
let's have a convo or something."

But that's the... that's the experience.
That's how it's supposed to work.

I didn't wanna jump back on dating apps
because it never really worked for me.

Um, so, I did meet
this recent guy, uh, organically.

We met at a music festival in San Diego.

He's funny, he's cool.
And I want to keep hanging out,

so we'll see where that goes.

When we get back from our honeymoon,
we need to do a going away party for you.

Didn't I tell you? My dad was like,
"If you guys make it a year,

I'll get ya'll a honeymoon."

So, we're flying out to go to Europe

-for two and a half weeks.

Our one-year anniversary also means

So, Chelsea and I had fun today.

We went grocery shopping,

and we made some jollof rice
because it's Kwame's favorite meal.

-So I can make it for my man.

Don't worry, I snuck... I snuck
a few bites. It's damn good.

Hello. I'm ready for this.

-We're glad to be with family.

Kwame, would you mind telling
my family the story of when...

-Your first memory of jollof rice?
-[Kwame] Yeah.

It was our first time
coming to the States.

Um, we came over
when I was eight years old.

And so we wore these lanyards

because we were traveling as minors.

All three of them, together.

-Without your...
-Parents.

Without our parents because
I had yet to meet my parents.

Um, they had, but I had not.
I mean, at least at a conscious level.

Right. I was, like, six months to a year
when they left.

All three of us, we were... we were raised
by our uncle during that period of time.

And so, by the time we got here,

we're walking through the airport,
and some lady picks me up.

And I'm like, "Who is this lady?"

And they're not reacting
in a negative way,

so you put two and two together,
and I realize that's my mom.

My first time meeting my mom.

Yeah, and so, you know,
we were at JFK airport.

We went back to the parking lot,
and, um, we get in the car.

My mom pulls out three
little Tupperware bins.

-And she gave all three of us jollof.
-Mmm-hmm.

That was the first time I ever had jollof.

-Wow.
-You said it was the best you ever had.

-Yeah.
-Our experiences that day was legendary,

because that was the first time
I had ever had Mountain Dew.

-Oh, my God.
-Jerry.

-Jerry, stop.
-[Chelsea] I love it.

You were like, "What's this party
in my mouth?"

[Milari] Mountain Dew.

My dad was like, "Hey, I... I know
this drink that I have all the time,

and I... I need you to have it."

The fact that we are all here right now...

means more to us than
you guys ever could understand.

We're so blessed to have you.
I'm blessed to have you as a sister.

And I'm so... Chelsea, don't... You know...

Don't do that because
when you start crying, I start crying.

She, like, she does that
to me all the time.

She'll start crying,
then I start crying.

It was so special for me to get to go
to your home for Thanksgiving.

And to, you know, start the journey
with that relationship with your mom.

I mean, this, for all of our parents,

-was a very unique situation to come into.
-Difficult.

Took me time to realize
how difficult it was for everybody.

So, um, I think that it was
a beautiful start to the journey.

I wrote her a card when we left.

Um, I... I spent a lot of time.
I sat in the room.

I closed the door. I just focused,

and I really wanted to thank her
for her son

and all the gifts he brings me
and to our family.

-And I left it for Barbara,

and from what I know, she took the card

and she closed the door
and she had some time with it herself.

After that I just felt, like, a shift.
She knows how I feel about Kwame.

We're in love, and we don't need a ring

Like, it's good that everybody's coming,

I think a team activity is a good thing
to try to bring people together.

As... as the captain,

about winning, personally.

To me, this is all, like...

a friendly activity
to get people together.

It's not about winning or losing.
It's about working together.
