- [Phil] Previously on "The Amazing Race".

Five teams set out from Lalibela, Ethiopia,

and raced , miles to Colombo. Sri Lanka.

- [Kendra] I got to find a bathroom or I'm gonna puke.

- You okay, baby? [Kendra groaning]

- [Phil] Local food made Kendra sick,

but a ride on an elephant- [elephant trumpeting]

- All right, giddy-up. - Revived her spirit.

- [Kendra] They're just so docile and sweet.

I'm feeling much better.

- [Freddy] You're the master of pachyderms.

- [Phil] Adam and Rebecca ended up on the last train.

- We just lost the whole game. - And Adam wanted to quit.

- No, I wanna go back to the airport or something.

- I wanna go to the airport, 'cause he wants to go.

- [Phil] So Rebecca gave him a dose

of his own medicine. - Let's do it.

Come on, honey. - On the Detour,

Hayden floundered on a treetop rope walk.

- [Hayden] Aaron I'm scared [screams].

- [Phil] And faced her paralyzing fear of Heights.

- Good job. - I didn't think ,

I could stay on, And I was so afraid of falling [sobs].

- [Phil] But on the Roadblock.

- [Bolo] Go, baby, go,

- [Phil] Lori and Bolo missed a crucial detail.

- Take your admission ticket with you to the top.

- Oh, man!

- I dropped it, I dropped it.

- [Phil] When Lori forgot her ticket

on the -foot high Lion Rock.

- Here she comes. - Bolo,

bring me the freaking ticket!

- [Phil] But the damage was done.

- [Lori] Was in second, now we're in freaking last.

- And in the end,

they could not make up for lost time.

Lori and bolo, you both been eliminated from the race.

- [Phil] Now four teams remain,

who will be eliminated next?

[uptempo dramatic music]

[singer singing in a foreign language]

[uptempo dramatic music continues]

[tense traditional music]

- [Phil] This is Sri Lanka,

an island nation known as the Jewel of the Indian Ocean.

It's most well known feature, Lion Rock,

a giant rock towering above the jungle floor.

From here, teams had to make their way to this hotel.

The ninth Pitstop in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The four teams waiting here have no idea

what's in store for them.

They have to figure out for themselves

how to get to the next yellow-and-red route marker

by solving clues they'll find in sealed envelopes.

Will Hayden an Aaron frustration with each other

affect their performance,

and will Adam and Rebecca's constant bickering

keep them in last place.

Kris and Jon,

who are the first to arrive at : AM

will depart at : PM.

[tense dramatic music] [envelope tearing]

- Fly to Shanghai. China.

- [Phil] Teams must now travel

more than , miles to Shanghai, China.

When they land, they'll have to make their way

to Yuyuan Garden and search the grounds for their next clue.

[tense traditional music]

- You have $ for this one, right?

- , , , let's go.

- Let's go, baby. - China, it is,

I think that Jon and I feel that the race

is getting more difficult as we continue on.

We have to really be at the top of our game.

Let's ask him how to get a taxi.

- Is there any taxis around here?

- Yes, sir.

- Thanks!@ - to the airport.

[envelope tearing] - Fly to Shanghai. China.

We're going to China. - Right, let's go.

- [Aaron] Hayden and I could be one of three teams

going for a million dollars, and we're almost there.

Hayden is very bullheaded.

It's her way or the highway,

we have to learn to come together.

- We're ready to go, please. [car engine roaring]

- Fly to Shanghai. China.

We have $ for this leg of the race.

- All right, great. - Freddy and I

have definitely gotten stronger.

The last four teams are super competitive,

and we've definitely gonna have to buckle down,

and stay focused, we are confident that we can do that.

- Colombo Airport, right? - Yep, exactly.

- [Driver] Okay.

[tense dramatic music] [envelope tearing]

- Fly to Shanghai. China.

Guess we're going to the airport.

Adam and I will not ever give up,

if we can just curb our arguing, and just pull it together.

I don't see why we couldn't win.

[speaking in a foreign language]

- [Translator] Yeah, yeah, I take you there for sure.

- Okay, okay. [tense dramatic music]

- We're kind of in a hurry, my friend.

- [Jon] As fast as possible please.

- Shanghai, China is supposed

to be a remarkably beautiful place.

- I wanted to go there since I saw Madonna and Sean Penn

in "Shanghai Surprise" [laughs].

- We have an Alliance in front of us,

Hayden and Aaron are just about a feet away

in another taxi.

We're gonna try and push ourselves to the front,

and push some of the other teams back.

- I love Chinese food. - But if we eat Chinese food

in China, it won't be Chinese food, it'll just be food.

- Right. [tense dramatic music]

- [Kris] Colombo Airport, we finally made it here.

[tense dramatic music] [people murmuring]

- [Jon] Should we just get our tickets?

- Can you tell us like the quickest flight into Shanghai is

- [Receptionist] Dragonair, : AM.

- Okay. - We wanna buy

that Shanghai flight. - Thank you.

- Have a nice flight. - We need to book that flight,

Shanghai. - We need to get

on the quickest flight possible.

- We need to get this. - Let's go, baby.

- Make sure we have two tickets to Shanghai.

Thank you very much. - Come on baby.

- [Adam] I'm gonna go to that ticket counter,

and I'm gonna buy some tickets.

- Just let me deal with it, honey.

- Oh no, give me it. - Please, please let me.

- You're really gonna piss me off.

Please stop it. [tense dramatic music]

Thank you. [plane engine roaring]

- [Phil] All teams are now making their way to Shanghai

via Hong Kong.

[tense traditional music]

[plane engine roaring] [tires screeching]

- [Jon] Baby, come on.

[tense dramatic music]

- [Aaron] Come on, group.

We need money.

- [Hayden] We're gonna go exchange our money,

while the other teams exchange money in Hong Kong.

Are you open, sir, are you open?

- Are you open? - You have to queue.

- Okay. - Okay.

- Taxi! [car engine roaring]

- Taxi, hey taxi. - All the way down there.

- The Singapore, is that worth more than the Us?

- Taxi? - Taxi?

Why isn't somebody getting it?

- [Jon] We're having a communication barrier,

especially with the taxi cab drivers.

- [Kris] It's not their fault, it's our fault.

We're in their country,

and we don't know how to communicate with them.

It's very frustrating.

- [Hayden] Which one will give us more yen?

- No, it's not yen, it's. - Or whatever it's called.

- Yuyuan Garden, okay, honey, after you.

- [Kendra] US is what in their money?

- Well, that's like bucks.

The poor little ones.

They're so clueless and lost.

Rebecca attaches herself to somebody,

and just watches everything they do,

and does the same thing.

And then, I mean, they've gotten this far [laughs].

I mean, poor Adam is not assertive enough

to do it on his own. - Rebecca, this way.

- [Rebecca] Taxis, it's all right, honey.

- How much US dollars? - About US dollar.

How about , can you do it for ?

- , .

- [Jon] All let's go.

- Taxi, taxi. - Taxi, let's go.

- [Rebecca] Yuyuan Garden.

- Thank you very much. - Thanks.

- [Hayden] Aaron, we have to call a taxi.

- Yuyuan. - Yuyuan.

- . - We won't pay that much.

- [Hayden] Honey, there's a cab, ask him.

- You're so sexy. - Yeah?

- Yeah [laughs]. - Yeah, you too.

- We left exactly hours ago, so it was a long trek.

- Kris and Jon, and Freddie and Kendra

were all packed together.

I don't know where Hayden and Aaron went.

- Hayden and Aaron went to exchange money.

- [Aaron] Yuyuan Garden, ?

? - Aaron, he's ripping us off.

- This is ridiculous. - Oh, shut up, Hayden.

- The other teams b*at us out by like minutes.

Aaron, we got ripped off.

You get ripped off, when you give cab drivers money,

and I'm not gonna allow to happen anymore.

We don't have any money,

and you know who has to go ask for it,

and make an ass out of themselves?

I do.

If you wanna start going up and asking everybody for money.

- Shut up, baby, just be quiet right now.

No more. - Don't tell me

to shut up, Okay? - No more, no more.

[tense dramatic music]

- [Freddy] Yuyuan Garden, I don't know.

Let's go inside here and ask.

- Freddy, what's up?

- Oh, we're lost [chuckles].

[tense dramatic music]

- [Adam] Now, there's a hotel.

Are they going to ask, what's the deal?

- [Rebecca] I don't know, this is it.

- [Jon] Hello, I'm looking for Yuyuan Garden.

- It's close. - We can walk?

- Two minutes by walk. - Okay, okay.

- [Kris] Okay, he said two-minute walk.

- [Jon] Two-minute walk.

- [Freddy] Let's go.

[tense dramatic music]

- We just went around in a circle.

We're coming back out to this main road, aren't we?

- [Freddy] She said two minutes walking.

- [Kendra] Go down the ghetto street.

- [Kris] She said straight down, babe.

- [Jon] Yeah, straight down. and then around the corner.

- [Kendra] Excuse me, do you know where Yuyuan Garden is?

- Show him the map, show him the map.

- Go, yes, all the way down, end of street.

- Keep going, keep going.

[uptempo dramatic music]

- We're moving into the Harlem of Shanghai [laughs].

- English? - Well, do we ask somebody?

- [Kris] Jon's trying to-

- Okay, good luck. - But there seems

to be a communication barrier. [Adam and Kris laughing]

- We weren't, he passed by it, and you didn't say anything.

- Hayden, just wait. - We're somewhere in Shanghai

in some scary little alley with scary men.

The Meter is ticking. - I will say, yes.

I know now that. - Okay.

- It's gotta be right in there.

- I think it's right in here. - I think it's down here.

- You guys, I think it's here,

- [Rebecca] But there's nothing there, Adam.

- [Adam] No, I think maybe we go around the corner.

- [Aaron] Okay, stop, stop.

- [sighs] We're lost. - Make him stop.

- Stop. - Get out.

Ask if anyone speaks English, and you deal with this,

before I hyperventilate.

- Well, let's keep looking. ♪ Cruising down the streets

- [Freddy] The place is closed,

and doesn't open until the morning,

and we're trying to see if we can get a hotel room

We're checking in. - Check in?

- Yeah. [tense traditional music]

- Two please. - Two.

- Thank you. [tense dramatic music]

- You're being shortsighted.

You're not. - I understand.

- You're not looking at the whole picture.

- Listen to me. - No, you don't, you do-

- I understand that it was not a smart move on their part.

Strategy wise, Freddy and Kendra

should have yielded Kris and Jon,

'cause they are much stronger players.

- Oh my God.

Don't look down. Kendra.

As I was going down, the wind would blow.

It was definitely frightening.

[tense dramatic music]

- [Freddy] She's doing great.

- I don't like it when the wind.

so that must be end of the river?

- We yielded the little ones, Adam and Rebecca

for a little, little payback.

- As fast as possible.

Freddie and Kendra should have yielded us.

It was strictly revenge thing from Freddy's ego.

- [Kris] We got lucky.

- Should we have yielded Kris and Jon?

- I'm Very satisfied with what we yielded.

[tense dramatic music] - Wash fast!

[squeegee squeaking]

- Tai Chi, all right, I got the word, on my way.

- Yeah!

- It's gonna take forever.

- [Adam] We need to get a taxi immediately.

- [Hayden] Aaron, isn't it on the river?

- I don't know.

- We have to find the masters for our next clue.

- How do we ask 'em. - Do some Tai Chi on 'em,

or something [laughs]. - Oh [laughs].

Can you handle that? - Do you speak English?

- English very small. - Okay.

When the girl comes down, can you tell him where to go?

- Yes, yes. - Yes, yes.

- I'm gonna get the bags and put 'em in the car, okay.

Tell 'em to wait.

[uptempo traditional music] - Honey.

- Oh, it's right here.

- We have to find the master. - Go, go, go, go,

I don't wanna get hit with a sword.

- [Hayden] All right, which one is it, baby?

Do you have the clue?

- Come on, Rebecca.

Yeah, I got a taxi, let's go.

Yeah, you okay? - Yeah.

- Was it scary? - I didn't open my eyes once.

Make their way to the Monument to the People's Heroes

on The Bund. [uptempo traditional music]

- [Hayden] Do you have the clue?

Do you have the clue?

- You look masterful.

"Using the enclosed map, make you way to the end

of Jiangpu Road.

- [Phil] Teams must now use a map to make their way

approximately three miles to Jiangpu Road.

At the end of the road, teams will find their next clue.

- [Hayden] Okay, let's go.

- Jiangpu Road? - Yeah.

- [Kendra] Come on baby. We gotta find the Tai Chi people.

- [Freddy] Check The Bund, whatever that means.

[speaking in a foreign language]

- Thank you, thank you, tell him fast.

- [Freddy] Here we go, honey, it's right here.

Start at one end.

- [Kendra] Sir, do you have the clue?

You have the clue?

- [Jon] Hi.

- Sir, do you have the clue? - Yes.

[Freddy and Hayden laughing]

- Thank you. [uptempo dramatic music]

Thank you.

- Using the enclosed map,

make your way to the end of Jiangpu Road,.

- So we got to go down that way, we can take a taxi.

- All right. - Tai Chi?

- [Kris] Is this it, baby, I don't think this is it.

- Fast, fast, fast, please, we're in a race.

- He doesn't understand fast, Rebecca.

- [Kendra] Yes.

- It's just across this bridge and to the right.

- [Aaron] Sir, I'm sorry, you have to go fast.

- Can you go faster, please. - You have to go fast.

- [Hayden] We're in a hurry.

- [Kris] There's a bunch of people doing stuff.

- [Jon] That's gotta be it down there.

- Yeah. [uptempo traditional music]

- [Jon] Which ones are the masters?

- [Kris] How do we ask?

- Do you have a clue? - No.

- Are you a master?

- Excuse me, sir, do you have a clue?

- No, no, no. - Sorry.

- Do you have a clue?

- Do you have a clue? - No.

- Do you have a clue?

You have it, babe, babe, babe!

Thank you, Jiangpu Road.

Okay, let's go. - All right.

[Jon whistling] - Hail a taxi.

- We need to go here. - Jiangpu Road.

- Okay, okay, okay.

- So he's cool, he sounded like he knew where he was going?

- Who knows, honey?

Bicycles are passing us,

I just hope that we get there in a timely fashion.

[tense dramatic music]

- [Adam] Now, you're looking for the wall, remember?

- Okay. - I don't see the wall.

- Okay, okay, maybe up here.

- A big stone wall, we can't miss it.

- [Hayden] Up here, can you wait here for us?

Is the cluebox down there?

[tense dramatic music]

- Detour.

[tense dramatic music]

- A detour is a choice between two tasks,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour, teams have to choose

between one of two things commonly found in China,

the choice, bricks or ice.

In bricks, each team member

must use a traditional device to carry clay bricks

off this barge while balancing on a single wood plank.

From there, they'll have to stack the bricks

onto a wooden pallet to receive their next clue.

Carrying the bricks will take a lot of strength,

but teams will know exactly where they're going,

and can finish as fast as their muscles will allow.

In ice, teams will load two pound blocks of ice

onto the back of flatbed tricycles,

and deliver them to this little known fish market,

four streets away.

Then they'll have to break the blocks into smaller pieces,

and place them inside a tub to receive their next clue.

Transporting the ice will not require a lot of strength,

but finding this market, and breaking up the ice

could take a long time.

- I can carry lots of bricks. - Okay, you think the bricks,

if your gut tells you bricks, we'll do bricks.

The ice walks sounded very complicated,

so we chose to do the bricks.

- [Kendra] This place is unbelievable.

- [Freddy] I know it's so far away from what we know.

- [Kendra] Oh, I love it.

[car horn honking]

- [Jon] Just go around there, okay?

- No, not okay. - Oh my god.

[tense dramatic music]

- There. - Wait for me.

- [Adam] Come on.

- [Rebecca] One of the masters,

we have to look for the person that's leading/

Who looks like a master, this looks like a master to me.

Master. - No clue.

Men are masters, men.

Master? - No.

- [Adam] Rebecca, Rebecca.

- Master. - Master?

- You look like my yoga teacher.

Okay, thank you.

Jiangpu Road.

- [Adam] Walking or taxi?

- That way.

- Do you know? - Yeah?

- Yes, okay. - It's good, perfect.

- [Rebecca] Okay.

[uptempo dramatic music]

- We can do it. - Yep.

- I'm strong. - Yep.

- [Hayden] Hello?

Okay, where's he going right.

- Right here, honey?

"Carry bricks from a brick barge

to a marked stacking area."

- Aaron, how many do you think I can carry?

Is this too much for me? - No, you carry about .

[tense dramatic music]

- [Freddy] We gotta go to the end.

Let's get our things and let's run.

Nope. [tense dramatic music]

Right here? - Show him the map again.

- [Jon] He'll go right there.

Where is it? - Oh my gosh.

- [Jon] It's back that way.

- [Kris] It's just so difficult to communicate.

We're having a tough time with this one.

- Cluebox. [tense dramatic music]

It's a Detour. - Detour.

- Bricks or ice.

- Let's do the bricks.

- [Aaron] Okay, go up, go up, go up, go up.

- [Hayden] Aaron, that's too heavy.

I don't think I can do this.

[tense dramatic music]

Aaron. - Yes, I got you.

- Aaron! - Let's go.

- Aaron! - Yes.

- [Hayden] You're so much taller than me.

Go to the right, it's there. - Good job.

- Good job.

Thank you.

[both grunting]

[tense dramatic music]

- You're kidding me, dude.

You went the wrong way?

Where were you taking us?

Okay, we gotta go, fast, fast, fast.

- I hope someone's cab got lost.

- I hope Freddy and Kendra are.

Nevermind what I hope?

- Straighten the brick so that they're on there nice,

and we don't lose 'em.

[tense dramatic music] [bricks clanking]

- Can we go please? - We have to go,

we have to go. [tense dramatic music]

- [Hayden] Aaron, where are you?

- Aaron? - You're good, you're good.

- No, I'm not good, now help me.

Okay, I can move about a mile a fricking hour.

[all laughing]

- [Freddy] Okay, those are your two, can you do that?

- Yeah. - Okay, you got it, honey?

Honey, just- - Honey, he's showing me!

You don't know how to do it.

He says, okay, okay, okay, he took us like blocks

in the wrong direction, okay, okay,

it's not okay, okay.

- We could have been there already.

- It's all right, honey, please.

- [Hayden] We've done .

- [Freddy] You got it, get under there.

- [Aaron] bricks?

- Doing good, baby. - Good job, you guys.

- It's gonna be easier, guys, If you use less bricks,

I'm telling you. - Good job.

[tense dramatic music]

- He totally overshot it.

T- Keep your eyes open for this.

- [Hayden] Aaron, Aaron help me walk down.

My balance is terrible.

Uh.

- [Aaron] Keep it slack, keep it slack, keep it.

- Aaron, shut up.

I'm carrying as much weight as you,

and you weigh pounds.

Geez, this is fricking heavy, ah.

[tense dramatic music]

- You're doing great, baby.

- [Hayden] We should be at .

- You know how many this is, honey?

- [Kendra] , go get those, honey.

- We're not far away. - We have a good taxi driver?

- We're almost there. - Stop, stop, stop right here.

Pull over here, here.

Let me out.

- Geez. [car horn honking]

[speaking in a foreign language]

- Hey, where is this place?

[speaking in a foreign language]

Where were you going?

Where were you taking us?

Hey Holmes, you were taking us the wrong direction.

Go fast, fast, fast,

God. We're way behind. - I can't believe this.

[tense dramatic music]

- What road is this here?

Babe, can you see what we're on?

Do you want get out of the cab?

Oh, we're really, we're close, pull over here, here.

- Geez. - How much should I give him?

- Don't give him anything.

[car horn honking]

- Honey, we're almost there.

[tense dramatic music] [bricks clanking]

- Okay, help me down, Aaron.

- You got it? - Yeah.

Ah, it hurts. [tense dramatic music]

- I think my bar's too long.

- Yeah, good job. Go.

- You ready?

Here we go again.

This way or that way? - I don't know.

anybody speak English?

Can you help us? - Jiangpu Road?

You know where that is?

[speaker speaking in a foreign language]

- [Rebecca] Thank you.

Oh my God.

- [Hayden] We should be done after this. Aaron.

- [Aaron] One more after this.

- [Hayden] We're almost done.

That's it? - Yes, that's it.

- We're done. We're done.

- Thank you, thank you. - Thank you, thank you.

Make you way to the Pit Stop.

- Teams must now travel nearly three miles

to the roof of the Peace Hotel South.

This landmark building overlooking the City of Shanghai

is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Yes. - Let's go, where's our guy?

[speaker speaking in a foreign language]

- Peace Hotel. - Peace Hotel.

- Okay. - Yay.

- [Hayden] Yay.

- It's right here. - Yeah, it is.

- [Hayden] There's Jon and Kris.

- They just got done, dammit

- I know. [envelope tearing]

- Bricks or ice? - Let's do bricks.

- [Jon] Okay, bricks, man.

- Okay, how many? - bricks.

- There it is, there it is. - There's the cluebox.

- Let's go.

- One left. - The little ones are here.

- Bricks or ice, carry bricks.

- It looks like everyone has done bricks.

Let's do this, I guess. - Wait up honey, Adam.

- Don't call me honey. - Steady babe.

- Babe. - Watch your sides, babe.

[tense dramatic music]

- [Freddy] That it, that's all there is.

- Thank you.

Make your way to the next Pit Stop.

Hey, there's a taxi right there, it looks like.

- Peace hotel, yeah, hotel?

Please tell us he's taking us to the right place.

Peace Hotel South. - Okay, okay.

- Okay, okay, okay. - Okay, all right..

- Okay. - bricks, is that right?

- Yeah. - Come on.

- Come on, honey, please hurry up.

- [Adam] Rebecca, I'm gonna start screaming at you.

If you call me honey one more time while we're doing this,

You're dead meat.

- Rebecca and Adam and got there basically

the same time that Jon and Kris did,

those two work efficiently.

They could easily pass them, get a decent cab ride,,

and Jon and Kris, they've had bad luck today with cabs.

So last place is up for grabs.

[metal clanking] [tense dramatic music]

- You dropped them all? - Yeah.

Damn it.

I really wish they would stop laughing at us.

- Well you gonna tell em to shut up.

- This is , right? - Yeah.

- Rebecca, we have total. - Honey please.

All right, come on. - Don't call me honey,

and let's go.

- All right, ass. - Better, I prefer that.

- We're getting close, here is the bridge.

[uptempo dramatic music] [car horns honking]

- Hopefully this cab driver is gonna know exactly

where he's going,

that's the one thing that can save us right now.

- sh*t. - Careful,

you can't drop the bricks. - Okay, babe.

[tense dramatic music]

[metal clanking] - Nice job, man.

- Are you coming or not? - Yes.

- Rebecca? - I'm trying, babe.

- [Adam] Let me see, so we have .

- A more? - A more.

- Thank you. - hank you..

- A Pit Stop. - Make your way

to the Pit Stop on the roof of the Peace Hotel.

It's back the other direction.

- I am just way too- - Worrisome.

- Yeah, he's calming, and mellow, and normal,

and I'm weird, and crazy, and neurotic.

- And sexy. - Yeah.

- Hopefully this cab driver will get us

where we're going quickly and we'll make it to the Pit Stop

in an expeditious manner.

- [Rebecca] We have left, I will carry ,

and you carry , okay?

- [Kris] Thank you.

- [Jon] Thank you very much for going very fast.

[tense dramatic music] [Adam grunting]

- Thank you, sure. - Ah, it's weird.

- Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Make your way to the next Pit Stop,

the roof of the Peace Hotel South.

Taxi [whistles].

Damn, I hat these taxis. - Here's another one.

Thank you, here goes.

- We barely have a lead over Rebecca and Adam,

and we've got to keep it.

I pray to God that this is the cab driver

who actually knows where he's going.

- I just wanna win.

[tense dramatic music]

- Peace Hotel South. - Yes, woo.

Good job.

- [Aaron] Head to the roof, baby.

[car horns honking]

- I'd really like to be first.

- Yeah, me too. - As long as we're not last.

- Hotel, hotel. - Right here?

- [Hayden] Rooftop, elevator?

- [Receptionist] Sixth floor.

- [Freddy] Stop, stop, stop, stop.

Thank you, thank you.

[lips smacking] - Come on.

- Six. - Feels like seconds

are just crawling by.

- [Kendra] Here, honey, here.

[tense dramatic music]

- Welcome to Shanghai, China.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Hayden and Aaron.

You are team number one. - Yes.

- So you guys want some more good news?

- Yes, please. - Yes.

- As the winners of this leg of the race,

you have won a vacation to beautiful Hawaii

compliments of American Airlines website, aa.com,

and you can enjoy that after the race.

- Woo hoo. - We would love Hawaii.

- We're hitting stride right now

when Hayden stays calm and we work together,

we can't be b*at.

- What floor, six? - Six.

- Six. - Thank you.

- We've had some really bad cab drivers today

that put us behind on the clock.

So we're hoping we got them out of the way.

- It's been crazy. - And this is the guy

that's gonna take us to the finish line here.

- The Yield k*lled us.

Damn Freddie and Kendra.

[tense dramatic music]

- Woo! - Welcome to Shanghai, China.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

It's so beautiful.

- Freddie and Kendra,

you're team number two. - All right, woo!

- Heard you guys did a little payback today.

- Well deserved. - We did the Yield.

Slapped the Yield right back on Adam and Rebecca.

- The next leg of the race.

Kendra and I are gonna have our best leg.

That's what matters to us, be at your best when it counts.

- If we have another chance,

we're gonna b*at Freddy and Kendra.

I could tell you that much.

- We just need to get there.

- [Adam] Peace Hotel South, yes.

I think we go around the corner.

- [Jon] It says Peace Hotel South.

Let's go - Hold on, hold on.

[tires screeching]

[bus horn honking] - Whoa.

- Excuse me, excuse me. - Rebecca!

[tense dramatic music]

- [Kris] Elevator.

- [Jon] Thank you.

- [Rebecca] Sixth flor, thank you.

- [Jon] These taxi drivers today, man.

- [Kris] I know, I know.

- What are you gonna do?

[tense dramatic music]

- Kris and Jon,

you're team number three.

- All right. - Oh my gosh.

- I hope I didn't scare you.

- Our taxi driver scared us today.

- [Kris] Yeah, it's a rough day, it's okay, we're okay.

- It's a rough day for transportation,

[tense dramatic music]

- Okay, give it to us.

- Adam and Rebecca,

you're the last team to arrive.

I'm pleased to tell you, however,

this is a non-elimination leg,

and you're still in the race. [lips smacking]

- Still doesn't feel good to hear.

You've been, you're last.

That still sucks. - First time in this game.

- I have got some bad news.

- Yeah, you want all my money?

- I want all your money.

- [Adam] See, we should have stopped for dinner on the way.

- [Rebecca] I was gonna give the cab driver a big tip.

- So you will be starting the next leg of the race

with zero money, absolutely nothing,

and that is gonna be a bit of a challenge here,

I think, in this country.

All right, guys, get some rest, you're gonna need it,

and good luck getting out of here with no money.

- [Rebecca] I do feel Adam and I wrecked our team

purely based on our inability to communicate.

- [Adam] Rebecca and I have to come to peace

with each other.

We're gonna have to have the best leg we've had yet.

No question.

- [Rebecca] We're just as capable as the other teams,

although we have yet to prove that [laughs].

[uptempo dramatic music]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on the two-hour season finale

of "The Amazing Race."

exhaustion takes its toll on Freddy and Kendra.

- I don't like- - Shut your mouth.

- Having three or four hours sleep.

- Shut your mouth. - No, you shut yours.

- I fell fine.

- [Phil] Adam and Rebecca struggle

at a puzzling roadblock.

- [Adam] Rebecca, are you doing something wrong?

- [Rebecca] Open, open, open, open.

- [Phil] And Hayden and Aaron battle with a cab driver.

- Do not give him Chinese money, Aaron.

Aaron. - You touch me,

touch me, I'll kick your.

- [Phil] And one of these four teams

collects $ million as the winners of "The Amazing Race".
