[dramatic music]

- This season on "The Amazing Race,"

it all began at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheater,

where teams of two,

go,

set off on a race around the world.

- Fly to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

- [Host] Their first destination, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

- We just want you to go faster.

- [Host] At the detour, many teams soared over the city,

but it was Eric and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler in the lead.

- Is this the most James Bond thing you've ever done?

- Dating couple, Ray and Yolanda,

got the attention of the locals.

- Bonita.

[ominous music]

- [Host] While lifelong friends, John and Scott.

- Train station.

- [Host] Struggled to communicate.

- Do you speak English?

- At the pit stop, Eric and Jeremy arrived first.

You're team number one.

- Yeah!

- And and John and Scott were last.

You have been eliminated from the race.

- On the second leg,

teams traveled deep into the Brazilian countryside.

- Ah!

- [Host] Fran and Barry found the going rough,

[dramatic music]

but Joseph and Monica excelled.

- Good job, Baby.

- [Host] While sisters, Lisa and Joni,

couldn't get it into gear.

- We agreed that I would drive and you would do this.

I can't do both.

- [Host] In the end, they were eliminated.

[Lisa crying]

[upbeat music] Eric and Jeremy

and Danielle and Dani cozied up

before the teams flew to Moscow, Russia.

- Come on, Lori.

- [Host] At the roadblock team members had to take a leap,

forcing Wanda to face her fear of deep water.

- Down, down, down!

- Ah, I'm gonna drown.

- [Host] While daughter, Desiree, lended support.

- You can do this.

[observers shouting in foreign language]

[observers applauding]

I'm so proud of you.

- [Host] Teams grew frustrated,

searching thousands of nesting dolls.

- Holy hell.

- I can't even open it.

- [Host] Then raced to Stuttgart, Germany.

[coo coo clock chiming]

Eric and Jeremy surged ahead at the detour.

Meanwhile, Fran and Barry had trouble

learning a traditional German dance.

- [Fran] Oh God, I'm off.

- Start over again, it's too fast.

- [Wanda] I haven't seen any signs for Munich.

Have you?

- But after hours of driving in the wrong direction,

Wanda and Desiree arrived last.

You have been eliminated from the race.

- Yeah.

[traditional Italian music]

- [Host] The teams then traveled nearly miles

to the Italian island of Sicily.

BJ and Tyler took the lead.

- That's a ciao, bella!

- [Host] Lake and Michelle fell behind

with a late flight connection.

- Went from first to [beep] last.

Dang it.

- [Host] At the roadblock,

some teams had no problem building a Greek statue.

- Finished!

- But Lori faltered. [ominous music]

- Doesn't fit anything!

- [Host] As Dave watched.

- It doesn't fit.

- At the back of the pack,

Lake and Michelle yielded Danielle and Dani.

- [Danielle] Oh my God.

That's seriously so pathetic.

- Ultimately, sealing their fate.

I'm sorry to tell you,

you have been eliminated from the race.

In the next leg,

teams drove across Sicily to the town of Catania.

At the detour,

Eric and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler delivered a pound fish

to a local market.

- Oh my gosh, it's puking on me.

- That's a big fish-a.

- [Host] While Monica had a meltdown.

[Monica crying]

- Joseph!

- What do you want?

- That's the worst thing I've ever done.

- [Host] Despite supporting each other.

- Come on, Lori. - Good job, Baby.

- Dave and Lori couldn't make up for lost time

on the prior leg,

and they finished last.

I'm sorry to tell you have been eliminated from the race.

- Nerds rule.

[dramatic music]

- [Host] After a quick stop in Rome.

- To walk in the same places as Caesar and all those people

is incredible.

- [Host] Teams then flew to Athens, Greece

where Eric and Jeremy b*at out Joseph and Monica

for the fast forward.

- We got it!

- [Host] A harrowing roadblock

[Ray shouting] [dramatic music]

exhilarated Ray.

- [Ray] I'm like Superman.

- [Host] But terrified Fran.

- Oh God, I'm scared.

[Fran shouting]

- [Host] BJ and Tyler.

- [BJ] Where are we?

- [Host] Got some bad news.

- You're going the wrong way.

This way now.

- [Host] And even though they were last in the detour,

[wrestlers grunting]

[observers laughing]

they stayed positive.

Lake and Michelle-

- [Lake] Shut up.

- Quit yelling at me like I did something wrong.

- [Host] We're at each other's throat.

- Dammit, don't be an idiot right now.

- [Host] Though BJ and Tyler

were certain they were finished.

- We are the last team

that will arrive at the pit stop tonight,

but we've had this amazing experience.

- It was Lake and Michelle who arrived last.

I'm sorry to tell you,

you have been eliminated from the race.

In the next leg, it was Ray and Yolanda who bickered.

- Just find the damn bridge.

- Stop cursing at me.

- Just remember, I'm a grown man.

- I can't tell.

- [Host] Teams then flew

to the Middle Eastern country of Oman,

where things heated up at the roadblock.

[ominous music] - [Tyler] You're digging

for a million bucks.

- I got it. [ominous music]

- I got one!

- [Joseph] Good job, Babe, come on!

- [Host] All teams passed an exhausted BJ and Tyler.

- Literally, just dead.

- [Host] Who arrived last, but were not eliminated.

[dramatic music]

BJ and Tyler left on the next leg with no money.

- [Both] One team has zero dollars.

- [Host] And were helped by some teams.

- Oh my God.

There's money been left for us.

- [Host] But not by Joseph and Monica.

- We gave them nothing.

[Joseph laughing]

- Joseph and Monica better watch out.

- [Host] Teams then flew over , miles

to Perth, Australia.

[dramatic music]

Even though Fran and Barry encouraged each other.

- [Barry] Way to go, Babe.

- [Fran] Doing great.

- [Barry] You are an awesome woman.

- [Host] They couldn't get a break.

- Taxi!

- Can't get a taxi.

- And had an emotional farewell.

I'm sorry to tell you have been eliminated from the race.

- Thank you. - I know.

[dramatic music]

The four teams then raced from Perth, Australia.

Eric and Jeremy turned up the game a notch

by playing a trick.

- I called for taxi.

I want cancel it.

Under the name Ray.

- Right now we're canceling The Hippies' taxi.

- Thank you.

[Eric and Jeremy laughing]

- [Host] When teams found out.

- One of them bastards canceled it.

- [Host] They blamed Joseph and Monica.

- I think it's got personal now.

- When yield season comes along,

Joseph and Monica are gonna be the hunted.

- [Host] Keeping their word,

BJ and Tyler yielded Joseph and Monica.

- God!

- Wishes to yield Monica and Joseph.

- That is not fair.

- [Host] Ray and Yolanda finally landed first.

- Ow!

- Team number one.

- Yay!

- [Host] While Joseph Monica caught up

to the other two teams.

- Oh my God. [dramatic music]

- [Host] Making it a three way race to the end.

- Let's go.

- [Tyler] Come on, BJ.

- [Joseph] Come on, Mo.

- BJ and Tyler hit the mat last.

This is a non-elimination leg.

But once again, avoided elimination.

Teams then flew to Bangkok, Thailand.

- Do you think we can buy tickets from them?

- Oh, no, no, no, no.

Not go Lopburi.

- [Host] Joseph and Monica were misinformed by a local

and missed the early bus to Lopburi.

- No Mo-Jo.

- [Host] When they arrived the next morning.

- [Joseph] Eric's here, damn it.

- [Host] They were shocked to find they were last.

- We thought we were like the first team.

- Man, did we think wrong.

- [Host] At the roadblock,

teams prepared a feast for sacred monkeys.

- "Iron Chef"-ing this up.

- Hey!

Get away from my thing, you little bastard!

- Ah, there's a monkey on yours!

- Ah!

- [Monica] No! - God.

- [Host] Ray and Yolanda and BJ and Tyler

dashed to the fast forward.

- [Tyler] Oh my God.

- [Host] A Thai delicacy

of fried crickets and grasshoppers.

- [Tyler] It's fingernails with guts inside.

[crickets crunching] - Oh.

I don't know if I could eat a whole bowl. We're leaving.

- [Host] BJ and Tyler held strong.

[BJ vomiting]

- Finish this, we head to the pit stop, man.

- Perfect. - To Thai!

- And triumph.

You are team number one.

[BJ and Tyler shouting]

While Ray Yolanda and Eric and Jeremy

excelled at the detour.

- Thank you.

- [Host] Joseph and Monica,

who took the more physical task.

- [Monica] Oh my God.

- [Host] Broke down.

- [Monica] Oh God!

- [Joseph] Come on!

Dammit. - [Monica] Oh my God.

- [Joseph÷} My God.

- And in the end, they were last.

I'm sorry to tell you,

you have been eliminated from the race.

[dramatic music]

Tonight, on the two-hour season finale,

one of these three teams will take home $ million

as the winners of "The Amazing Race".

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music continues]

[dramatic music continues]

[dramatic music continues]

[elephant trumpeting]

[dramatic music continues]

[traditional Thai music]

This is Bangkok,

the commercial and cultural center of Thailand.

This exotic metropolis features some of the most

uniquely designed religious monuments in Asia,

and along the banks of one of this great city's canals,

The Marble Temple.

This Buddhist shrine was the th pit stop

in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

Although third to arrive,

gold one.

- Yay!

- Ray and Yolanda caught a lucky break.

You have won a trip or two from Travelocity.

You will be going to Sydney for New Year's Eve.

- All right.

- [Host] That awarded them a vacation of a lifetime.

There's even more good news.

Tonight, you guys will be staying at a luxurious hotel.

- This is so nice.

Let's plan our trip.

- [Ray] Sydney, Australia.

- [Yolanda] Sydney Harbor.

It's gonna be a wonderful trip.

- I can't wait to see that yacht.

- [Host] After a night in luxury,

will Ray and Yolanda return to the race

and continue working well together,

or will their relationship issues resurface?

Will BJ and Tyler maintain their lead

after recently climbing out of last place?

And with $ million on the line,

will Eric and Jeremy be able to keep their consistent focus

and take home the prize?

BJ and Tyler, who were the first to arrive at : AM,

from last to first.

- [BJ] Absolutely fantastic.

- [Host] Will depart at : PM.

- Yeah.

- Take a taxi to the province of-

- [Both] I-u-sah-ha.

- [Host] Teams must now travel almost miles by taxi

to the province of Ayutthaya

and search for the Royal Kraal.

Once here,

one of the elephants in ceremonial dress

will give teams a T-Mobile Sidekick

which contains their next clue.

- Let's blow this temple.

- All right.

Marble Temple.

After I win $ million, I will buy you.

- Maybe buy half of it.

When we started out,

I really thought that

we could get first on every leg of the race.

Our intelligence and our experience traveling.

Taxi!

Would allow us to just slaughter the competition.

Taxi!

As we actually started getting into it,

realized that we were susceptible the same mistakes

that other people have made.

- Taxi!

- Can you take us to Ayutthaya ?

- [Driver] Oh, okay, okay.

- The game has really changed now.

After losing the fear of being eliminated,

it's all about just going for first place,

just winning the race.

[dramatic music]

- You have $ for this leg of the race.

- There's taxis out there.

- Going into the final three,

this is about us as a team and trying to win.

Just make sure he knows where it is.

Now we just have to compete, and that's what we like to do.

Do you know how to get to Ayutthaya?

It's definitely game time for Jer and I.

- We're ready to win, man. - We're ready to win.

- That's what we wanna do.

- We're not taking second- - It's what we wanna do.

- Lightly.

[Jeremy chuckling]

- I've never seen elephants super close up.

I've seen "When Elephants att*ck" on TV, though.

[traditional Thai music]

- All right.

Wow, a neat elephant corral.

Hi, elephants.

: AM to : PM.

Oh.

Let's go set up camp.

Think the other teams will make it?

[BJ laughing]

- Look at this guy.

Peanuts!

- Take a taxi to the province of Ayutthaya.

- Let's go.

- [Yolanda] We gotta get back to business here, you know?

- We gotta catch The Hippies and the Frat Girls.

Frat girls.

Yolanda and I have had problems driving and navigating.

Taxi!

But when you're in a relationship,

you can have a discussion about a wrong turn,

and somehow you're talking about the relationship.

So it goes from "The Amazing Race"

to the amazing relationship race.

[indistinct] go there?

- Yeah.

- It's two different races going on.

We're almost to the last leg,

so we gotta rejuvenate.

It comes down to one team for the million dollars.

[dramatic music]

- Yep, this is it. - Stop here.

- Hey, you wait. - [Driver] Okay.

- : AM to : PM.

- [Ray] I think this is it.

- [Yolanda] You wait for us.

- Doesn't open until : AM.

[Yolanda sighing] - [Ray] It's :.

- Ray and Yo are still in the race.

- What's up, cricket boys?

- So happy you're still around.

- Thank you.

- At least you caught up to The Hippies.

[elephant trumpeting]

- Four o'clock, it's go time.

See that guy dancing?

- [BJ] Yeah.

- [Tyler] This way, BJ.

- We got through the elephant-

- [Eric] Oh, crap. - Whoa.

- [Yolanda] Oh, cool. - [Eric] It's huge.

- [Jeremy] These are big.

- [Ray] Let's go this way.

- [Yolanda] Ooh, watch for the doo doo.

[elephant trumpeting] - [BJ] This is crazy.

- Can we please have a Sidekick?

- Sidekick?

- The T-Mobile Sidekick? - Sidekick.

- Ah, his nose!

- Ah!

- Thank you. - Thank you, elephant.

- Fly to Tokyo, Japan,

then drive to downtown Tokyo.

- [Host] Teams must now fly more than , miles

to Tokyo, Japan.

Once here, they'll drive themselves to Shibuya,

Tokyo's version of Times Square,

and the world's busiest intersection.

Then they'll have to scan the many big screen TVs

for the one flashing a hint

to the location of their next clue.

- [Both] Drive to downtown Tokyo.

- Once there, find the Shibuya Scramble Crossing.

- And scan the giant video screens

to learn the location of your next clue.

- I'm gonna write that down.

- Japan! - Yeah!

- [Tyler] Good thing we've already been there

and I speak Japanese.

- All right, come on.

Bye!

Bangkok Airport.

- Let's go, buddy.

[The Hippies speaking in foreign language]

- Airport, please.

- We're gonna go ahead and head out of here.

Let's go.

Whoa, there's crap everywhere.

Bangkok Airport.

[dramatic music]

- We're going to Tokyo.

I'm glad.

I've wanted to go there.

- Japan.

Oh my God,

Japan is the perfect place for us to be going right now.

I've got a Japanese girlfriend who's taught me Japanese.

I walked from the south to the north of the country.

And if there's any country besides America

that I feel like I understand more, it is Japan.

- [BJ] Other teams must be weeping right now.

- I'm pretty excited that I'm going to Japan,

but Tyler speaks Japanese.

We don't, so that's a problem.

[dramatic music]

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- [Ray] We want to get on your earliest flight to Japan.

- [Yolanda] Tokyo.

- [Agent] United number nine departs : AM,

arrive :.

- United?

Thank you so much.

- Try to see, can we get on that flight?

[dramatic music]

- One of the major Japanese airline is up ahead.

It's probably the best one to try first, huh?

- Let's try AMA first.

- Where do we buy tickets?

- Which airline?

- AMA.

- [Agent] One floor down.

- Go downstairs?

[dramatic music]

- We're gonna find the earliest flight out,

which can get filled up pretty quick.

Airport info.

Hi.

We need to go to Tokyo as soon as possible.

- [Agent] United number nine leaves :,

arrives :.

- United nine.

We gotta go to United.

- Tokyo. - United Airlines.

They depart at :.

- That's the earliest flight.

- We need to buy tickets.

- [Ray] We need two tickets for that flight.

- [Agent] The flight is very, very full.

- Yeah, we need this flight.

Please, please, please.

- What's up, guys?

- The Hippies have an advantage.

Tyler knows how to speak Japanese.

- [Ray] Yeah, I heard him talking it a couple of times.

- Oh man.

- Can we please buy tickets to Tokyo?

- [Agent] United is very full.

- Yikes.

- The Hippies,

they always manage to finagle their way into something.

- We need to get on the flight. It's so important.

- Now it's looking good.

We should get on it.

We're like the first team out of the airport.

- [Agent] Yes, you are on the flight.

[dramatic music] - Which gate?

?

- We're on the flight? - [Agent] Yes.

- Tokyo!

For Tokyo!

[dramatic music]

- Is there no way we can get on that flight?

- [Agent] Sorry, it's full already.

- Wow.

Oh my God, we're screwed. [ominous music]

[dramatic music]

- [Tyler] We need to get on the flight. It's so important.

- [Agent] Sorry, it's full already.

- Ouch.

- Oh my God.

[ominous music]

- We're screwed.

- I really just made a mistake.

- Does Thai Airlines fly there?

- I don't know.

We need to fly to Tokyo as soon as possible.

- [Agent] we have a flight at : AM.

- Tickets please.

[dramatic music]

- Ray and Yolanda and Eric and Jeremy

have an hour and a half time advantage on us.

We're in a flight that leaves at :

and gets in at four o'clock.

We're in last place.

- [Tyler] We have to catch up to everyone else.

We haven't given up.

We're still going for it.

And we're also gonna speak Japanese

when we get to Japan,

which is gonna excel our progress.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[dramatic music]

- [Host] All teams are now flying from Bangkok, Thailand

to Tokyo, Japan.

When they land,

teams must make their way to the parking lot

of the Hotel Nikko

and search for the marked cars.

Then they'll drive themselves to Shibuya,

the world's busiest intersection.

Once there, they'll have to scan the big screens

for the one flashing the location of their next clue.

[traditional Japanese music]

[dramatic music]

- [Yolanda] Let's get a map.

- We're gonna go to the Hotel Nikko and find our cars.

- [Yolanda] Thank you. - [Ray] Thank you.

- Bus stop, let's go.

Jeremy and Eric are behind us.

- Hotel Nikko, right there.

Where are The Hippies?

- The Hippies didn't make it.

[dramatic music]

- Maybe the hotel can give us directions.

- Marked parking lot, right here.

It's not the Benz, but it's still good.

- Hello.

We need to get to Shibuya Scramble Crossing.

- The quickest is on the highway.

- Yes, Highway. - Yes.

- [Ray] First one out of the gate.

- We're looking for Higashi Expressway.

[dramatic music]

- [Eric] Oh, he printed off the map.

- [Jeremy] Tokyo City map.

- [Agent] Yeah. - Wonderful.

Appreciate it. - We appreciate it.

Let's take this one.

[dramatic music]

Higashi Expressway?

- [Eric] Yes.

- We're not far off from the million dollars now.

Just try to b*at Ray and Yolanda and those dang hippies.

- [Ray] Oh, this place is confusing.

[ominous music] - Higashi Expressway.

I hope we didn't miss the turn for it.

Let's ask this guy real quick.

Higashi?

- Higashi.

[local speaking in foreign language]

And then right?

It's just back that up way.

- You wanna go back down?

- Yeah.

Do you see that sign?

Higashi Expressway.

It's like right in front of our faces.

[dramatic music]

- This is our time to catch up.

The heat is on.

- So we have to drive-

- [Bus Passenger] A little bit long way.

- Okay.

- [Tyler] That means expressway.

- Yeah. - Yes.

[passenger laughing] - Expressway.

[dramatic music]

- Look at this city, man.

Nothing but lights.

Wow.

- Three is where need to go.

If we didn't get this map from the guy at the hotel,

we'd be pretty screwed.

- [Jeremy] Yeah, Shibuya is straight.

[ominous music]

- You see there's two different ones.

Go right?

- I don't know.

Here, there's a sign up right up here.

Take five, I guess.

[ominous music]

- Expressway, nice!

- [Jeremy] We're in Shibuya.

- [Eric] We need to find the building to park the car.

- [Jeremy] Sakamoto Building?

- [Eric] Yeah, Sakamoto Building.

- Shibuya Mark City.

All right.

Sakamoto Building parking.

[Eric laughing]

- We just drove up on the damn building.

[rock music]

Shibuya?

Right up there?

Thank you.

We might be the first ones here.

[dramatic music]

- Shibuya?

[attendant speaking in foreign language]

- Number three, number three, keep on the right.

- [Ray] My great navigator.

- [Yolanda] Let's drive.

Drive me.

- [Ray] Drivin' Miss Crazy.

[dramatic music]

- It's definitely good to be back.

I feel like I'm home.

Other teams could have gotten lost.

- [Yolanda] Go in the store or something.

Shibuya.

- [Local] Shibuya.

- [Ray] You know how to get there?

- I don't understand.

- Let's just go.

We can't understand what anybody's saying.

[heavy metal music]

- Here's the Scramble Crossing, I bet you anything.

- You see Ray and Yolanda anywhere?

- No.

Just scan all the videos.

- Giant video, giant video,

giant video.

- Oh man.

[ominous music]

[dramatic music]

Look on those screens and signs.

- Find Hachiko.

Find Hachiko.

That's gotta be it.

- [Host] Teams must now figure out that Hachiko

is the name of this statue in Shibuya Crossing,

erected to honor a most beloved dog in Japanese lore.

Once there they'll have to find this man

who will give them their next clue.

- Hey, where's Hachiko? - Hachiko?

- It's over there.

- Over there?

- [Local] Behind that tree.

- Thank you. - Okay, thanks.

Is this Hachiko?

Is this Hachiko right here?

Yeah.

- Hey, Hachiko. - Hachiko!

- Hello.

- Can we get our thing?

All right.

Hachiko.

- How did that chick know who Hachiko was?

- I don't know.

Detour, Maiden or Messenger?

- A detour is a choice between two tasks,

each with its own pros and cons.

In this detour,

teams have to choose between Maiden and Messenger.

In Maiden, teams travels seven miles by taxi

to this Japanese tea garden.

Once here, they must use a Palanquin,

a centuries-old method of transporting Asian royalty

to carry a maiden one third of a mile.

They'll deliver her to a tea ceremony

and receive their next clue.

In Messenger, teams must travel on foot about yards

to this parking lot,

where they'll pick up a pair of folding bikes

and two messenger bags, each containing a parcel.

Then they'll need to assemble their bikes

and ride through the chaotic Tokyo traffic

to deliver their packages to two separate buildings

listed on each parcel.

When the deliveries are done,

they must return to the bike parking lot

to receive their next clue.

- Okay, we're gonna do the Maiden.

- We're not messengers.

- We're gonna meet some ladies there.

- Let's go get a taxi.

Hamarikyu Gardens?

This is a nice taxi.

- Cool place, man.

- Shibuya exit.

And we're looking for the Sakamoto Building.

- [BJ] Sakamoto Building parking.

There's a sign right there.

Go to a- - [Tyler] Yep.

Shibuya.

- [BJ] Is this it? - This is it.

This is Shibuya, right here.

It says to find a screen, right?

[dramatic music]

- Find Hachiko.

Is that it?

That was it, find Hachiko.

Do you know where Hachiko is?

- [Local] Right there.

- Look at that guy with the scarf.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Really?

[BJ and Tyler laughing]

- Arigato. - Arigato.

- Bikes. - Uh, bikes.

- But the gardens might be simpler.

- It's simpler, but if you can ask directions on the bike.

- Okay, let's do it.

- All right, let's go.

- Hamarikyu Garden.

Nice.

- This is gonna be hard as hell.

And there's a girl in there. - I know, lift up.

- Oh my gosh.

Oh God. - Let's be careful.

It's not that bad.

- It's gonna be in about a half mile.

This is hurting the hell out of my neck.

- Switch it to one shoulder.

- Hopefully we got a hot one.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- [Tyler] It looks like this is it.

- [BJ] Yeah. - That's all yellow and red.

[dramatic music]

You can just pull the wheels apart.

- Like this? - Yeah.

- Ah!

This like this.

- [Tyler] Shujuku Park Tower. - You know the way from here?

- Yep. Hurry up, we're in a race.

- Woo!

- I actually think I've been to this building.

[dramatic music] [bell ringing]

- [BJ] Woo!

- Wow, this is incredible.

Woo!

This is the right street.

- Straight?

- All the way to Shinjuku Station, and then we take a left.

[ominous music] - [Yolanda] Traffic is crazy.

- Good thing we had a lead on The Hippies.

I'm sure everybody's gonna have problems, though.

- Mm, never bet on that.

I think other teams will be there ahead of us.

- Oh, this place is confusing.

- [Yolanda] We gotta do better than this.

[ominous music]

[dramatic music] - Ah, this place is confusing.

- Excuse me, can you help us?

Shibuya?

That way?

- Go straight to one T, T.

- Okay.

- And go left.

- [Yolanda] Okay, thank you.

- [Ray] Doing good, we're doing.

- We gotta hurry, man.

- Just follow the marked path, there.

There's a tea house over there.

[traditional Japanese music]

Hello.

Can you set her down?

- Can we open it now? - Hello.

[traditional Japanese music]

- Thank you. - You're welcome.

- This is like a naughty fantasy come true right here.

Wow.

[dramatic music]

- Thank you very much. - Thank you.

Make your way to the Capsule Land Hotel.

- [Host] Teams must now make their way here,

to the Capsule Land Hotel.

This style of lodging,

in which people sleep in capsules rather than rooms,

is common in Tokyo, where space is at a premium.

It is here that teams will find their next clue.

- Let's find out where it is.

- Thank you.

- Just get a taxi and tell him to go there.

[dramatic music]

- [Tyler] This way, BJ. [bike bell ringing]

[Tyler speaking foreign language]

This is it right here.

Main lobby, this way.

Konnichiwa!

- Ah.

- Okay, okay.

Sign. [Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Okay.

- For this building, do we go down here?

- No, it's right there.

Perfect, it's right on the corner.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- [BJ] The first one's done.

- [Yolanda] Ray, where are you going?

- It says Shibuya right here.

- He said was through the first crossing

where you can make a left or right.

- I'll make a right at this next, or I'll just do a U-turn.

That's cool?

- Oh yeah, it's great.

It's very cool.

So icy.

So cool, it's cold.

It's freezing.

- Sakamoto Building, right here.

Yeah.

We're looking for the Scramble Crossing now.

[dramatic music]

They're not here, yeah.

- There it is, there it is.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- [BJ] Do we have to go to the fourth floor?

- [Tyler] Right.

Oh, look.

- [BJ] GDH.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- [Tyler] Konnichiwa.

Sign. [Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Arigato. - Arigato.

- Thank you, take care!

- Right.

- All right, back the way we came, huh?

- There it is, Baby.

Find Hachiko.

- Hachiko.

Hachiko.

Excuse me, do you know where Hachiko?

Over here?

Is it this guy right here?

[dramatic music] - [Yolanda] Hi.

- Do you have our clue?

Yeah.

That's what we here for.

[Yolanda laughing]

I'd rather hop in a taxi.

- Okay.

- We're gonna do Maiden.

We didn't feel like asking for directions again.

- There, there, there.

Ask him.

- Do you know where the Capsule Land Hotel is in Shibuya?

- Hotel, no.

Shibuya, okay.

- Okay, should we just go to Shibuya and then?

- We might as well.

- Capsule Land Hotel.

I think if you say it like that, it helps.

- Just tell him to drive to Shibuya.

- Oh, you call?

[dramatic music]

Yes!

This probably is not gonna be so hard for The Hippies

if they can speak Japanese.

- Yeah, they'd be like, oh,

[Eric speaking in foreign language]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[rock music]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Oh.

- Arigato.

- [Both] Make your way to the Capsule Land Hotel

in Shibuya.

- God, that was so much fun.

- [Driver] Hamarikyu Gardens.

- Hamarikyu Gardens.

We gotta carry one of these.

Ah!

- Ooh.

- I would carry the whole thing,

but I don't think I could do that. It's heavy.

It's heavy.

I got a Chevy.

See you putting them burners on.

[dramatic music]

- Let's go.

Hopefully we're ahead of everybody still.

Hello.

[receptionist speaking in foreign language]

- Are we the first? - Yes.

- [Eric] : AM departure time.

- [Jeremy] I guess we're sleeping in here tonight.

Dang it.

- [Eric] Any advantage we have is gone.

[Eric laughing]

What the?

Dude, we're sleeping in tubes.

[Eric laughing]

- [Jeremy] What the heck?

- [Eric] That's-

- No wonder.

And that's why it's called The Capsule Hotel.

[Eric laughing]

- [Eric] This is funny. [rock music]

We're in a time capsule hotel.

- I hope I don't wake up and it's, you know,

or something.

- I don't know what you've been told.

I'm gonna win this million dollars.

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

- Ugh.

- Hope you're okay.

- I know BJ and Tyler didn't do this.

Tyler's like '" and BJ like '".

Whew. - Whoa, lordy.

- Uh oh, I think I see the house.

Yolanda, come on, come on.

We almost there.

Open it up.

[traditional Japanese music]

- What are you doing in there?

- You feel much heavier than you look.

- Yeah.

- Thank you. [dramatic music]

Make your way to the Capsule Land Hotel in Shibuya.

- You take care.

You're cute.

- [Ray] Thank you.

- Come on, babe.

Back to the taxi.

Do you know Capsule Land Hotel?

- Capsule Hotel?

Okay.

- I would say we're probably second or third.

Just gotta keep grinding and see where we end up.

- Shibuya, Shibuya.

What's it to ya?

[dramatic music] - God, yes!

Capsule Hotel.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- [BJ] Sweet, dude.

We're leaving at : tomorrow morning,

and I hope that we're not in last place.

[dramatic music]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Nice.

- That was a nice catch up, getting here.

- Arigato.

Hey, where's Ray and Yolanda, you see 'em?

- [BJ] We haven't seen them yet.

[dramatic music]

- All right, thank you.

All right. - Hello.

[local speaking in foreign language]

- [Yolanda] Our departure time is : AM.

- [Ray] Oh, yeah.

Slight, slight possibility we could be first.

Oh, damn.

- [Group] Hey!

[Ray laughing]

- It's so cool.

How you doing?

- What's up, fellas? - [Tyler] You guys get lost?

- Uh, we got caught in traffic.

[Tyler laughing] - Caught in traffic.

- [Ray] Damn, it's a like a prison in here.

- Okay, let's go to bed. - [Yolanda] .

- [Tyler] Good night. - [BJ] Night.

- Peace out. - See you in the morning.

[traditional Japanese music]

- Ah, thank you. - Thank you very much.

- Drive yourselves to Fujikyu Highland.

- [Host] Teams must now drive nearly miles

to Fujikyu Highland,

an amusement park at the base of Mount Fuji.

Wildly popular among the youth of Japan,

its rollercoasters are some of the tallest and fastest

in the world.

This thrill-seekers paradise

is where teams will find their next clue.

- Your cars are parked where you left them yesterday.

- Right now we got a minute lead on The Hippies.

- We gotta hurry, man.

- Ask him.

Do you know where Fujikyu Highland is?

- There's the pink dragon.

Take the number four over?

- [Local] Four.

- Okay, so take the number four.

Later.

Thanks.

- We have to get back on the highway. Proceed to the four.

[dramatic music]

- Hello.

Arigato. - Thanks.

- [Both] Drive yourselves to Fujikyu Highland.

- [BJ] Wow, this could be far, let's go.

- [Tyler] Fuji?

Fuji Highland?

[local speaking in foreign language]

- [Tyler] Okay.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- We've made up the lead that the other teams had on us.

The Frat Boys have only a minute lead on us right now.

- This is the Japan leg we dreamed about.

[dramatic music]

- Drive yourselves to Fujikyu Highland.

- It's the beginning of a new day,

and we're only like minutes behind the last team.

We gotta find out how to get there.

- [Yolanda] Stop somewhere with a lot of people.

- You wanna try Denny's?

- [Yolanda] Yeah.

- Please let us find somebody who speaks English.

- [Yolanda] Fujikyu Highland.

[local speaking in foreign language]

- [Local] Highway. - [Yolanda] Highway.

- Highway.

- [Local] Shinju.

- [Ray] Shinju, okay. - Shinju.

Fujikyu?

- Fujikyu.

- Okay.

It's cool?

All right, thank you so much.

- Can we turn right right here?

- [Yolanda] Yeah.

- Yeah. - Left?

Yeah, right, I mean.

- Right.

- Oh, be careful what you're doing.

Four.

Okay, this is it.

You see?

- [Ray] Yeah. - Then drive then, now drive.

- There's the ticket.

You pay later.

- That's a big mountain.

Mount Tokyo.

- [Eric] Dumb ass.

It must be Mount Fuji. [gong banging]

- Oh my God, Mount Fuji in the distance.

Cool!

[computer speaking in foreign language]

- [Yolanda] That's Mount Fuji.

- [Ray] That's Mount Fuji? - [Yolanda] Mm-hmm.

- Fujikyu.

- [Yolanda] You all right?

- I'm practicing stuff with an accent.

Fujikyu.

[Yolanda and Ray laughing]

- Oh, tolls, nice.

Is that enough? - [Local] Thank you.

- Thank you. - [Eric] Thank you.

- [Jeremy] I'm not seeing any signs.

Is this the right way?

- [Eric] Let's ask somebody.

- Who do you want to ask?

Probably the van guy right there.

Hey, Fujikyu Highland?

- You can follow me. - Okay.

- [Eric] Oh, cool, thank you very much.

Thank you, Sir.

- I learned a lesson about speaking to people

and making them understand.

You can't speak it slow to them.

They won't get it.

So you gotta be like, "Fujikyu Highland!"

And they're like, "Oh, I didn't know what you were saying.

"It's right up there."

- [BJ] We're gonna be getting close to the turn off.

- Fabulous.

This is our comfort zone right here.

You and me in Japan, ideal last leg.

So close to victory,

to the $ million.

- [Eric] This amusement park?

- I don't know, man.

- [Eric] Could be it. - [Jeremy] No way.

- [Eric] It is.

Fujikyu Highland.

[dramatic music]

- Fujikyu Highland.

It's right there.

[Tyler gasping]

- [BJ] Frat Boys? We just caught up with the Frat Boys.

Think we should follow them?

- Yep.

They were just three cars ahead by the time we got here.

- There's Hippies right there.

Those Hippies and their damn language-knowing.

- Man, that's quickness.

- That sucks, our lead's gone.

Let's park.

- They're running over there.

- Hey, Hippies. - Frat Boys!

- I don't think Ray and Yolanda

will be able to find it very easy.

- They don't ask directions. - No.

- They're screwed.

- Let's go, BJ.

There it is.

[dramatic music]

- [Both] Roadblock.

- [Both] Who's ready coast coast through their day?

- A roadblock is at task

that only one person may perform.

In this roadblock,

that person has to experience

the physical strain and adrenaline rush

of three consecutive thrill rides,

the Pizza,

Dan-Bo

and Fujiyama.

However, while coping with these wild rides,

team members must maintain enough composure

to spot a man holding a sign with a message

somewhere along one of the rides.

Once they have finished all three rides,

they'll need to tell the park manager what message they saw.

If they're right, they'll receive their next clue.

If they're wrong, they'll have to do the entire task,

including all three rides, again.

- It's, your turn, buddy.

- Blind all day.

- Three thrill rides, one message.

Hope you see it coming.

- Who's ready to coast through their day?

- Get it, you are.

- There it is.

The Pizza.

Arigato.

I feel like a kid again!

[Tyler laughing]

Keep my eyes peeled for a man holding a sign.

[Tyler laughing]

- Hi.

[lounge music]

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[rock music]

- Oh.

Oh, yeah.

Regurgitated some crickets.

- I can't read anything from up here.

- Oh wow!

Oh wow, oh my God.

- I've got snot coming out of my nose.

Oh my God.

[rock music]

- Intensity.

- I did not see any man with a message on that run.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- That was sweet. - [Tyler] Whoa.

I feel dizzy.

[dramatic music] - Watch this.

[ticket agent speaking in foreign language]

How much is that?

.

- [Yolanda] Oh, you need your ticket.

You need your ticket.

- Oh.

[suspenseful music] Look in the bag.

- You know what?

Did you put in this bag?

No, baby.

- Don't get frustrated.

- Dammit, man.

Well, I certainly don't have it.

[Ray grunting]

I hope it didn't fall out.

- We don't have one.

[ticket agent speaking in foreign language]

- Huh?

- Unbelievable.

- Damn, damn, damn. [dramatic music]

[Ray grunting]

- So I don't have my ticket.

[ticket agent speaking in foreign language]

Over there?

- I can't believe this.

- Hope we don't go to jail

for going through the toll without a ticket.

[local speaking in foreign language]

- [Yolanda] We don't have a ticket.

- [Ray] Can I pay you?

- Ah, okay, okay, okay.

- Okay.

, . - [Yolanda] Thank you so much.

- Thank you so much.

Now we got another question for you.

- [Yolanda] Fujikyu Highland.

[local speaking in foreign language]

- Okay.

[Ray laughing]

Hey, man!

- [Yolanda] You're on the wrong side.

- Hey, Yolanda, this dude pat me on my, oh Lord,

let me get outta here.

- Oh, did he?

That's just- - I know,

but he patted me on my damn, like, man,

we don't do that where I'm from.

- Maybe it's this one right here in this building?

There, entrance.

[local speaking in foreign language]

- Huh?

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

[local laughing]

- You're an idiot.

This is gonna rock.

Let's get it on!

Bring it!

- Woo!

- [Ride Operator] Three, two, one, go!

- [Tyler] Woo!

[rock music]

Woo!

Oh, you're kidding me, dude.

You are kidding me.

I don't see anything.

I don't see anything.

[Tyler grunting]

Wow.

I think I wet the seat.

Did you see it?

- I didn't see anything.

- You didn't see it? - No. Did you?

- Just might have.

Right at the start there.

- Crap. [dramatic music]

I'll probably have to do 'em again.

- [Tyler] King of Coasters, Fujiyama.

- I'm gonna sit up in the front.

Oh man, I didn't see anything.

I couldn't even keep my eyes open.

- Last rollercoaster, I saw something.

- But I'll just keep looking.

What?

- I didn't actually see anything. Told Jeremy I did, though.

So hopefully I'll see something on this roller coaster.

All right, here we go.

[riders applauding]

- This is high.

- Pretty high up here.

- Oh, here we go!

[Jeremy screaming]

Woo!

[dramatic music]

Woo!

- There it is, man.

Rock on.

[dramatic music]

Woo!

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

That was fun.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh!

- Lake Ya-Monica.

- Lake Yamanaka.

Arigato.

- So I guess it wasn't the other one.

You tried to like psych me out.

[Tyler speaking in foreign language]

- Lake Yamanaka.

Open that bad boy.

- Let's open this up. - This could be a pit stop.

- Drive to the next pit stop.

- [BJ] Big Swan Lake on Lake Yamanaka.

- [Host] Teams must now travel seven and a half miles

to Lake Yamanaka, nestled at the base of Mount Fuji.

Once there, they must take a duck boat

and paddle across the lake to the Big Swan.

This boat, a popular attraction in the region,

is also the pit stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Let's go.

- Let's go.

So awesome.

- Let's follow those bastards. - [Eric] Yeah.

- [Jeremy] We can b*at 'em in the paddle boat, too.

- You guys made good time.

Ray and Yolanda aren't even here yet.

Should we ask directions or?

- No, let's just go.

- The streets of Japan are my second home.

- Follow The Hippies now and see where they go.

- Don't tell anybody,

but I was on the swan boat club in high school.

I was actually the captain.

- Fujikyu Highland, that's where we gotta go.

- [Ray] Okay.

- We just park, we can walk in there.

- [Ray] All right then.

- [Yolanda] Why you say, "Okay," like that?

Remember when we said, "Communicate?"

- Well, you didn't say that. - I said-

- [Ray] You might have heard it in your head,

but you didn't say it. - No, I-

- All right, we're here.

- Don't talk to me that way.

You don't have to respond that way. Let's just forget it.

- We're here, Yolanda.

Are you happy? - Yeah.

- All right, I'm happy, too.

- Whatever, just shut up. - Okay.

- Who's ready to coast through their day?

Well, it has to be me.

He's waiting in the car.

Ray was on my nerves, anyway.

I was feeling like strangling him.

I don't like the way he's driving

and I don't like the way we're making decisions

since we just gotta agree on stuff.

[coaster beeping]

Here I go!

[rock music]

[Yolanda laughing]

It's gonna be one of those things that make me vomit.

Woo!

I'm gonna be drunk by the time this is over.

Woo!

I don't see it.

I don't see it, but I'm keeping my eyes open for a clue.

[dramatic music]

- [Tyler] So I tried to tell Jeremy

that I saw the sign on the second roller coaster,

try and throw him off. - Yeah.

- But the sign was pretty obvious

on the third roller coaster.

- Dude, he tried to psych me out.

He was like, "Did you see it on the second one?"

And I was like, "No, I didn't see it.

"I'm gonna have to do 'em over."

- [Eric] So they're trying to be sneaky, huh?

- Mm-hmm.

- [Eric] We'll get those Hippies yet.

I hate the Hippies.

[rock music]

- All right, woo!

Woo!

Woo!

Woo!

Woo!

Where is it?

[Yolanda giggling]

Woo!

Better look.

Oh, there it is.

[indistinct] baby!

Lake Yamanaka.

Thank you so much.

- [Ray] How was it?

- It was the best fun I've had all day.

- Drive yourselves to the next pit stop.

Let's go.

- Can you tell me where Lake Yamanaka is?

- Go right.

- Right? - Right?

- Right.

- Okay, hm.

Did you get it?

- He said right and then he pointed left.

- Yeah, I don't think he was saying right.

Oh well.

- We gotta ask somebody.

- Yeah, thank you.

Okay, let me look at this map.

Here it is.

This is Lake Yamanaka.

You can get back on the Chu Expressway, right?

- [Ray] Yeah.

- I had a good time when I was at the roadblock.

I definitely needed that break,

because riding this car, I just hate it.

I ain't gonna lie, Ray, I hate you driving.

- When you are in the back, you want to drive.

When you're driving, you want read the map and drive, so-

- That's not true.

[ominous music]

- [BJ] Yamanakako! - Great.

There's swan boats. Do you see a giant swan?

Giant swan way out there.

- All right, Yamanakako!

- Yep, this is definitely it.

Yep, parking.

- [BJ] Frat Boys are following us.

- Parking, right here.

We got a chance.

We got 'em.

[dramatic music] - Let's go.

- Ow!

- Go, go!

Down there.

- Hope you hippies are ready for a paddle race!

- It's swan time!

[contestants laughing]

- Get the last one.

- We're right behind 'em!

We're right behind The Hippies.

Come on, bro, come on!

- Untie it.

Come on, dude!

- I gotta untie it!

- Let's just try to keep 'em behind us.

- Get in there, player.

[dramatic music] - What side are they on?

- I don't know, just paddle.

- This is really hard.

- Don't worry, don't worry.

Let it down easy.

Let them go wide.

They're gonna wear out.

Just keep a steady pace.

- There it is.

That's where Phil is.

Sweet.

- Keep going.

[dramatic music]

- We got this!

We're coming for you, Phil!

[dramatic music]

- They're b*ating us.

- Come on!

- We gotta b*at those hippies.

- Come on, man!

[dramatic music]

- Woo!

Dude, we out-pedaled Frat.

- Welcome in Lake Yamanaka, Japan.

- Arigato.

- BJ and Tyler, you are team number one.

- Yeah.

- Now I've got some good news for you guys.

- Ho, ho, Phil!

- As the winners of this leg of the race,

you guys have each won yourself a T-Mobile Sidekick,

and you get three years free service.

Jump for joy.

Let's get this other team in here.

- Hey.

- Eric and Jeremy, you're team number two.

Congratulations. - Man,

we'll take it, I guess.

- I had no idea that you guys could get beaten

by these hippie boys coming in on the pedaling boats.

What happened?

- We were expecting to pass 'em.

We were going as fast as you could pedal those things.

- Well, not quite as fast, 'cause we b*at you.

- What are we, legs through the race,

and it comes [Phil laughing] down to a sprint like that,

are you thinking about the end and what might happen?

- The Hippies are playing dirty now.

[ominous music]

I'm not very happy with The Hippies.

- [Tyler] Oh, man, I'm sorry.

- [Jeremy] You're dead to me now.

- Hey, it's for canceling the cab. Now we're even.

- Really? Tyler tried to lie to me today.

We had, you know, a lot of good faith in these guys

and then he tries to throw me off.

That was mean of Tyler.

- I was just trying to get an advantage.

You guys are, you know, really tough competition

and we can use anything we can get over you guys.

- Yeah, we're gonna use everything we can get.

- All right. - Yeah.

- So it's gonna be deadly.

The last leg, it's on.

- There it is.

Y'all thought we down and out,

but we coming back for our million dollars.

- Oh, I see it.

[Ray and Yolanda laughing]

We're almost there.

Come on.

- Welcome to Lake Yamanaka.

- [Yolanda] Thank you.

- Ray and Yolanda,

you're team number three.

You're the last team to arrive.

- Yeah.

- But this is a non-elimination leg

and you're still in the race.

[Yolanda laughing] - Still in it.

- There is some bad news.

I need to take all your money from you and possessions,

everything except the clothes on your back

and your passports.

[ominous music]

That's tough.

No money,

leaving a country where you don't speak the language,

final leg of the race.

[Yolanda laughing]

And you guys could go from having absolutely nothing

to a million dollars.

- We're gonna win the money.

We'll have that million dollar check in a few.

- Ray and I are not gonna be down on ourselves

about we don't have any belongings

and we won't get any money.

With all of our hearts, we're racing for a win

because we want this.

- Yolanda and I are good at coming back

and being the underdog.

We've had flashes of greatness on the race.

We can win it.

A million dollars is on the line.

If that's not motivation, then-

- What is? [Ray laughing]

- Then nothing is.

- Find out who wins "The Amazing Race"

when the next leg begins in just a few minutes.

[dramatic music]

This is Lake Yamanaka,

nestled at the base of Japan's majestic Mount Fuji.

And on the lake, The Big Swan.

This boat, a popular attraction in the region,

was the th pit stop in a race around the world.

After a mandatory rest period,

the teams will leave on the last leg of the race.

There are no more eliminations

before reaching the finish line,

so this leg will be a three-way competition for $ million.

BJ and Tyler, who were the first to arrive at : PM.

- Wow.

- [Host] Will depart at : AM.

- Here we go.

It's a race around the world.

- Fly to Anchorage, Alaska.

- [Host] Teams must now fly more than , miles

back to the United States to Anchorage Alaska.

Once there, they'll choose one of these marked cars

where they'll find their next clue.

- Let's go.

It's cold out here.

- Gotta leave this for Ray and Yolanda.

Yen.

Thanks for helping us.

- Good luck, Ray and Yo.

BJ and I have been training for this race

and for this last leg for our entire lives.

The way we approach our lives

is with wide eyed enthusiasm and joy.

We've been doing that for the whole race,

and we're gonna try and do that for this last leg.

- A million dollars, here we come.

- Get that engine warm!

- Fly to Anchorage, Alaska.

Once there find your car to find your next clue.

Let's go.

We're going into the next leg full steam,

and we're gonna be trying to kick everyone's ass.

I mean second place, for anybody at this point,

isn't an option.

- We don't have any friends.

This is about us as a team and trying to win.

We're in overtime right now and we're gonna win.

- Just get in.

- All right, go.

All right, it's going.

It's go time!

- Let's rock.

- Oh, this is exciting.

All right, drop your car off at Hotel Nikko

near the parking lot.

It's the hotel we picked the car up at.

- [Jeremy] All right.

- Jeremy, where are we going?

- Alaska.

- What do you think we'll do in Alaska?

- Get the detour.

Scraw!

- What the hell is that sound?

- That was my chicken kung fu.

Chicken!

- Which way do I go up here?

- [Tyler] Yeah, just stay on four.

- [BJ] So I gotta go to the left here?

- Veer off to the left, yeah.

- Look at that stupid.

See you later, dudes.

Hopefully this is the right way.

[Jeremy laughing]

- It's the right way.

- This is definitely the more direct route on the map.

I can't imagine what they're doing.

[dramatic music] - All right.

Fly to Anchorage, Alaska.

All right, let's hit it.

"Be mine.

"Love, Hippies."

We're leaving absolutely last and we're broke.

- Yolanda and I, we are the best team in the race.

Right now, they're thinking that we down and out.

We've been excellent at coming back and winning.

We're gonna win this last leg

and we're gonna win the million dollars.

- Want me to open the letter?

- Yeah, you can open it and read it.

- [Yolanda] ! - Okay.

[Yolanda laughing]

"This is for last night.

"PS.

"If you win the million dollars, you owe us bucks."

[Yolanda laughing]

We gotta go back to the hotel.

- It was nice of them to give us some money to help us out.

However, we still need to get more money.

- But you never know what's gonna come up.

- Look, straight ahead is our Hotel Narita.

- Good work, man.

I don't see their car here.

Looks like we're here first.

We need a shuttle to the airport.

- [Receptionist] It leaves at :.

- :.

Is there internet here?

- Yes, it's on the second floor.

If anyone asks for internet,

pretend you don't understand English.

- Okay. - Okay, great.

Thank you.

[dramatic music]

- To the airport.

- All right.

- Turn on your left hand.

- Bam.

Man, I hope everybody doesn't catch up.

- On the right, there's a bus stop for airport.

- Six is the earliest it comes.

:.

- Hello.

Do you guys have internet access here?

[suspenseful music] - Yes.

- So can we use the internet while we wait?

- Well, we don't have internet service.

- You don't have internet service?

I thought you said you had it.

Hmm.

- Let's call general information, passenger information.

- We have barely any money.

It looks like Ray and I have to do some more begging.

You wanna try Jonathan's?

- [Ray] Please let somebody speak English in here.

Does anyone speak English?

- Sir, we lost all of our bags.

Everything that we have, we have nothing.

So I wanted to know if anybody could give us any Yen.

Here, see?

Yen.

- You look like Janet Jackson.

[Ray laughing] [locals laughing]

- This is gonna be a long trip.

If it's so funny, y'all can give us money then.

Yes, yeah, thank you.

Thank you.

- .

I'll take that.

- [Yolanda] Anything else?

Anybody?

I'll tell Michael you said, "Hey."

Okay.

- Good luck.

- Okay.

- All right, peace out.

Lucky those businessmen were there, boy.

- Getting lit.

[dramatic music]

- Looks like we're in good shape.

We got a chance.

- Hmm.

- [Tyler] What's going on?

- Found this flight on Northwest Airlines.

It goes into Seattle and then to Anchorage

at : in the morning.

We should probably book this first, right?

- [Tyler] Yeah, let's do it. - Okay.

Your reservation is confirmed.

- [Tyler] Awesome.

- Hello?

We need to find the fastest way to get to Anchorage, Alaska.

Okay.

[indistinct]

Taipei?

- [Eric] And what time is it?

- : to Alaska.

- Okay.

- Can we book it?

Uh huh.

Well, thanks for your help, Richie.

I appreciate it.

- Let's see if The Frat Boys are here yet.

Let me turn off the lights.

That's pretty good.

- I wish we could keep our lead

because The Hippies are about an hour behind us right now.

- There they are.

- Maybe we just go down and say we were spying on 'em.

- Ciao.

- Why'd you guys come around back?

- We've been spying on you from outside.

- Awesome. - Yeah.

- No they didn't.

- Why'd you guys go the wrong way?

- Just for fun.

Try and trick you.

- Yeah, you tricked us.

We thought you were idiots.

- Oh yeah?

- Yeah.

But I guess you're not, 'cause you're here.

- I guess we're not.

We've been here for an hour.

- Really? - Yeah, really.

Sitting here.

- Geez.

- That's it.

There's no internet in the hotel,

which is really weird, I thought.

But there's no internet.

[dramatic music]

- Oh, here's the bus.

- Thank you very much.

You've been great.

Nice.

- No sign of Ray and Yolanda.

- [Ray] Uh oh, more tolls.

- Is Narita this way?

- Maybe just five minutes.

Yes.

- Five minutes?

Go left.

- Stay to the left.

No problemo.

[dramatic music]

- I'm sure The Hippies will follow us.

- Let's leave 'em.

- See just what these Frat cats are up to.

- Where'd they go?

- They're gonna notice we're missing.

- They're gonna ditch us.

- Hunker down.

- Hey, where'd those Frat boys go?

[dramatic music]

- We're right behind the bus.

- There it is.

- Right here, all right.

I hope we see the other teams, but you know,

we never know.

Here's the shuttle so we can get on it.

The hard part was getting here.

Now we're here, so when we make it to the airport,

they're gonna look like they saw a ghost.

[dramatic music]

- We gotta do this quick.

- But we don't want The Hippies to see us.

- We need to go to Taipei. - Taipei.

- And then to Anchorage, Alaska.

- [Agent] Our flight will leave here at :.

- Yeah.

- [Agent] So you will be reaching Anchorage at :.

Everything is okay.

- Okay. - Thank you.

- Thank you.

- [Agent] Thank you. - You're welcome.

Do you need to see this?

- Oh, yeah. - There it is.

- I could see. I could see it. - Okay.

- We're on the first flight.

- Who knows where the other teams are.

[dramatic music]

- Is it possible to check on your computer

if there are any flights from here to Anchorage?

Right now we have a ticket on the : Northwest flight.

- We have a flight to Taipei.

- [BJ] Uh huh.

- On Air Nippon.

- What time does that flight leave?

- At o'clock.

And you will arrive at Anchorage at :.

- :. - : in the morning.

Wow.

That's big news.

- All right, thank you.

- Thank you very much.

We to go to AMA.

- Hi. - Hi.

- [Agent] Where are you flying to today?

- To Taipei,

and then from Taipei to Anchorage.

Fabulous.

Thank you very much.

And Ray and Yolanda aren't even here yet.

[dramatic music]

- Hi, we wanted to check your earliest flights

into Anchorage, Alaska.

- Let me check.

Nine o'clock, arriving in Anchorage at :.

- You wanna buy it or no?

- There has to be something earlier.

- There were a lot of seats available, right?

- Seats are available. - Okay.

Let's check Japanese Airlines.

There's still hope.

[dramatic music]

- So right now, we're watching transfer counter D

because if anybody's on the flight that we're on,

they're gonna go to transfer counter D when they get here.

[dramatic music]

- Found something.

From Tokyo, to arrive : AM.

- That's the earliest one.

- All right, you wanna go try to get on that one?

- All right, we need to hurry up too, man.

We taking too much time.

We found a flight-

- To Taipei, China. - Taipei.

It connects with China Airlines.

You didn't tell us about it earlier.

We found it on the computer.

- So the flight will arrive in Taipei,

Anchorage :. - :.

Yeah, that's it.

- The flight to Taipei is already closed.

- We sat there for minutes

and they didn't tell us about this flight.

- Are you sure there's absolutely no way?

- Sorry, we cannot do it.

- They don't know what the hell's going on.

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music]

- The flight to Taipei is already closed.

- There's absolutely no way you can get us on?

- [Ray] We have minutes, we can make it.

- Let me make a call.

- Awesome.

Frat Boys are not down there.

We haven't seen Ray and Yolanda today.

- Okay, I can get you on the flight.

- Okay, thank you so much.

Thank you.

- Let's get on the stupid plane.

- Oh, Ray and Yolanda.

- No way.

- [Yolanda] Hi, guys.

- Where's Frat Bros?

- We don't see 'em. - We don't see 'em.

- Oh.

For the first time, I'm happy to see you guys.

[Tyler laughing]

- [Yolanda] Hi, thank you.

[dramatic music]

- We're definitely anxious,

just 'cause we're sitting here watching the clock.

A little nerve wracking, just 'cause we're waiting.

[dramatic music]

- Frat Boys!

[Tyler laughing]

- Not happy to see us. - Yes!

- Damn Hippies.

- Not too happy right now.

- The Captain's here.

- Are you kidding me?

Jeez, this sucks.

- Oh, I'm not happy to see any of the four.

[dramatic music]

- [Attendant] Welcome aboard.

- [Host] All teams are now flying to Anchorage, Alaska.

[dramatic music]

[dogs barking]

- [BJ] Wow, we're back in America.

- It sure is snowing.

- [Yolanda] Are you gonna be okay?

- [Ray] All right, it's cold as hell out.

- Let's get outta here.

Let's find our car.

- Gosh dang.

- Here we go, here we go.

Drive yourself to Mirror Lake.

- [Host] Teams must now drive miles to Mirror Lake.

This scenic recreation area

is where they'll find their next clue.

- Why don't we just go ask directions?

- Okay.

[teammates grunting]

- You drive ourselves

to Mirror Lake. - To Mirror Lake.

- [Ray] All right, let's go.

[dramatic music] - You gotta read the clue.

- Oh.

- Drive yourself to Mirror Lake.

[dramatic music]

- Do you know the way to Mirror Lake from here?

- When you get to Old Seward Highway,

you're gonna take a right.

- Great, man.

Thank you.

Sweet.

First time in Alaska.

It's not so cold.

[Tyler laughing]

- [Ray] Do you know how to get to Mirror Lake?

- Yes, follow Old Seward Highway all the way out.

- Okay. - All right.

Thank you.

Old Seward Highway.

[dramatic music]

- Yes, go all the way to Old Seward.

Just go straight.

- [Eric] Thanks, guys. - Thanks, guys.

[dramatic music]

- Seward Highway.

This is where you turn right, right?

- Yes.

- [BJ] Don't slide off the road.

- Yeah, no sliding off the road.

- Damn, the sign is even frozen.

You can't read it.

- Just in case we missed all the signs,

we'll just ask this once and then it'll be over.

Excuse me, Sir.

We're looking for Mirror Lake.

- Turn right on the Seward Highway.

Just stay on it.

- Thank you so much.

[dramatic music] - This is the Seward Highway?

- [Eric] Yeah, so go right here.

- Yeah.

- It's coming up.

The Frat Boys are somewhere in front of us,

probably like two or three minutes.

[dramatic music]

- It's so white and beautiful.

We made it to the North Pole.

- The hippies are driving really slow right now.

Watch this.

- [BJ] Frat Boys passed us.

Damn you, Frat Boys.

- Eric, we're there.

[dramatic music]

- [BJ] They're turning right.

- We should probably follow them.

- [Eric] Let's park and go.

- Ha, no BJ.

I'm right behind you.

- Sweet.

Detour.

Drill it or Deliver It.

- In this detour,

teams have to choose between Drill It

and Deliver It.

In Drill It, teams traverse this frozen lake

and set up an ice fishing camp.

First using an auger,

they must drill holes down into the ice shelf

until they reach the water.

Then they'll need to push one of these shacks

from shore to their site

and cover at least two holes with the shack.

Once the ice fisherman approves the camp,

he will hand them their next clue.

In Deliver It,

teams must load a bush plane with medical supplies.

Then using a map to navigate,

direct their pilot to fly over miles round trip

to this airfield.

Once on the ground, they must unload the medical supplies

and deliver them to the first aid station,

where the doctor will hand them their next clue.

- Deliver It sounds more fun.

Let's deliver it.

Let's go. - Okay.

- What do you wanna do?

- We're gonna drill the fishing hole.

Oh, there's those shacks over there.

[dramatic music]

- Do you mind if we load this medical equipment

on your plane?

- Well, the weather is not good enough

to get to Gerwood right now.

We're on a weather delay.

It could be five minutes, it could be five days.

- Looks like we're gonna drill it.

Thank you very much.

- Copycatting.

Always copycatting.

- Hey, we're the ones in front.

You guys are copycatting us.

- No.

There's the marked path.

Drill holes.

Let's go.

[dramatic music] - Am I going the right way?

- You gotta put a ton of pressure on it.

[dramatic music]

- You must drill each hole completely down to the water.

- There we go.

I got one done.

- [Tyler] Nice, good work, man.

- You guys already through one?

You're kidding me.

Crap.

Got it.

Ooh.

[dramatic music]

- That's a pain in the ass, man.

- Yeah.

That's four.

- You guys got four?

- [BJ] Good lie.

We feel pretty good about our odds against the Frat Boys

in this physical challenge.

- We are physically superior.

[ominous music]

- I thought we were supposed to get off two exits back.

Is there a gas station?

We'll stop.

- [Yolanda] All right, stop right here.

Hi.

We're a bit lost.

We're looking for Mirror Lake.

- [Store Clerk] This way.

- It's still just straight down the road?

- [Store Clerk] Mm-hmm.

- [Yolanda] All right, thank you.

- [Ray] We gotta keep grinding.

That's the motto, keep grinding.

[dramatic music]

- Can't we just use one to catch fish?

Next.

[Tyler grunting]

[dramatic music]

- Last one.

- They're on their last one, BJ.

- Nice work, buddy.

- All right, we're clear here.

- Damn you, Frat Boys!

They must have had thinner ice.

- You must push the shack to your fishing site

and cover at least two of the holes you drilled.

- Let's give her a push and try and get her going.

[Frat Boys grunting]

- Oh man.

Sucky.

This is sucky.

- BJ are Tyler digging for buried treasure.

Good job, buddy.

- You wanna do the last one? - Yeah.

Come on.

I'm just nothing but skin, bones and attitude.

Oh my God, we gotta push the shacks.

- This is so tiring.

- Wanna rest for a sec?

No, Sir.

They're still digging holes, The Hippies.

- Oh, we're so close, dude.

They're not even finished yet.

There's a million dollars at the bottom of this hole.

Go!

We're good?

Get in front of their shack.

Stop them.

- We're almost to our hole, dude.

One big push to our ice thing.

- Find two holes.

How's that?

- All right.

- Thank you, Sir.

Drive yourselves to the Kincaid Park

and find the chalet.

- [Host] Teams must now drive themselves miles

to Kincaid Park.

Once here, they'll put on snow shoes,

and using a map,

they'll search the park for their next clue.

- Let's do it.

- Good to go.

Just lean down and push.

- Ice drilling was so hard.

Like my biceps were like,

I thought they were gonna pop out.

- Come on!

- It's a million dollars.

- Go!

- Go, go, go, go, go, go, go push.

We good?

- Go for it.

- Drive yourselves to the Kincaid Park.

All right, thanks.

[dramatic music]

- [Yolanda] To the right, Baby, to the right.

- Here we go.

- There's Ray and Yolanda running.

Good luck, guys!

- The Hippies are still here.

- [Yolanda] Well, I guess we're in last place.

We're drilling.

- All right. - Okay.

- Ciao for now.

Kincaid Park's on the map.

- Great. - Good work, man.

- You, too.

- [Yolanda] How thick is this ice?

- Cold as hell.

I'm from the South, Jacksonville, where it's warm.

They put a Florida boy in cold weather.

That's like taking the fish out of the water.

Yeah, that's it.

- That's it?

- Yeah. - Cool.

[dramatic music]

- I think The Hippies are hot on our trail, man.

And if they see me coming out on this old highway,

I tell you what, they're gonna follow us the whole way, man.

- So once we get to Kincaid Park,

we take this intricate trail system to the next clue box.

So this could be our chance to catch up.

- Cool.

- [Ray] My fingertips are like frozen.

- If I could do this with my legs, it wouldn't be a problem.

My legs is much stronger than my upper body is.

And this is like burning.

[ominous music]

- I think that'll do it.

- We're a little behind,

but we'll catch them at the the airport.

- Oh my goodness.

[Ray and Yolanda grunting]

- Okay, let me check your holes.

- [Yolanda] All right, let's go.

- Drive yourselves to Kincaid Park.

- [Yolanda] Come, let's run.

- Right here.

See it? - Okay.

- It was a hard task.

- If we had two Rays, it would've been easy.

[Yolanda laughing]

- Kincaid Park.

Now we have to find the ski poles and snow shoes.

- [Jeremy] Snow shoes. - [Eric] There we go.

- Come on, hurry up.

- I haven't seen The Hippies yet. We got a good jump on 'em.

- Start is right here.

We go this way.

- [Eric] Oh, I can tell this is gonna suck.

- Right here? - Mm-hmm.

Let's go.

- We gotta find the snow shoes.

- Oh crap, hippies.

They didn't see us. - Wanna run a little bit?

- Is this is chalet?

And do you have a clue for us? - Do we go up here?

- Kincaid Outdoor Center, snow shoes.

Do you see it?

- Come on, Tyler.

- We should get a better view from up here.

So maybe we should explore around inside.

- Let's go inside and look around, then.

- Oh, BJ, this way.

BJ!

BJ!

- Let's look around inside.

It says this is the chalet.

Choose a set of snow shoes.

This is ridiculous.

- Son of a biscuit.

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music]

- We gotta find the snow shoes.

Is this a chalet?

Snow shoes?

Excuse me, can we get some snow shoes?

- Outside. - Out front?

Thank you.

Oh, dude, freaking-

- We walked right past it.

- This is ridiculous.

- My hands are freezing.

- Let's go, man, this way.

- All right, let's go.

- Today this is it.

It's all or nothing.

We at the end of the road,

so any mistake could be the difference between

a million dollars or nothing.

Just gotta keep playing, keep moving forward.

- We're still headed the right way?

- Hope so.

- Dude, I don't think there's anything down there.

- That's not right.

We gotta go to Andrew's Trail, this way.

- [BJ] Should we go to the left here?

- Oh my goodness.

Shangri-La.

- Almost there.

There it is.

See it? - Yep.

Fly to your final destination city, Denver, Colorado.

- [Host] Teams must now fly more than , miles

back to where the race began,

the mile high city, Denver, Colorado.

[dramatic music]

Once there, teams will travel by taxi miles

to the Clear Creek History Park in the town of Golden.

There, they'll search the park for their next clue.

- All right, let's go.

- The Hippies gotta be close.

- I don't see the Frats.

- I don't see any trails going this way.

- Well, there's a red arrow on this map

and it's back where we were.

So we gotta go back to the I pass again.

- Oh, dude.

- Oh my gosh, that was tiring.

- Let's go. - Lock your car

and leave your keys

and make your way to the Anchorage Airport.

Taxi!

Sir, do you think you could give us a ride to the airport?

- Hopefully we can keep our lead.

[dramatic music]

- I'm sniffing out a clue.

- You found it?

Tell me you did.

- Come on, this is it, Tyler.

- I'm coming, BJ!

- Okay.

- [Tyler] Good work.

- Find your final destination city,

Denver, Colorado. - Denver, Colorado.

Let's go!

- All right, we gotta to that airport

before those Frat Boys.

- I can't believe we walked right past these snow shoes.

- Set 'em up so Ray and Yolanda

think that no one's been here. - Taxi!

Thank you.

We're heading to the airport, Sir.

We're flying to Denver.

[dramatic music]

- [Ray] Kincaid Park.

All right, need to hurry up too, man.

We taking too much time. - [Yolanda] I know, I know.

I'm gonna bust some ass.

[dramatic music] - Thanks, again.

All gates are this way.

We're trying to find a flight to Denver.

- Frontier has a nonstop to Denver

that leaves at : tonight.

- And that's the earliest flight outta this airport?

- That's probably gonna be your earliest.

- Yeah, that's fine.

Can we get tickets for that flight, please?

It'd be cool if we didn't see The Hippies

or Ray and Yolanda tonight, if they were frozen.

- You by any chance wouldn't have a cell phone

that we could use to call the airlines, would you?

- Mm, yeah.

- [Tyler] Super duper.

- Hi, I need to book the earliest possible flight

from Anchorage, Alaska to Denver, Colorado.

Frontier, : tonight?

All right, well, can I book that right now?

Thanks. - See you, Alaska.

- Ticketing, check in?

- [Ray] Come on, we're almost there.

- Fly to your final destination.

- Yeah. - Denver, Colorado.

- Get the hell up outta Alaska, yeah!

I'm gonna catch these suckas at the airport.

It ain't over yet.

- Frat Boys.

They just went out this way.

- Frat Boys!

- You find anything international?

- [Eric] I don't know, did we?

- If you did,

then why you're going back to the other terminal?

- Ah, you never know.

- Let's follow them.

It'll be more fun.

Might as well.

- [Driver] Yes, [indistinct].

Come on, we're almost there.

[dramatic music]

- [Yolanda] The cab's here.

All right.

- Now we're headed to the airport.

Hopefully we can get this earliest flight out.

[dramatic music]

- Oh, Frat Boys.

What's the race around the world without the Frat Boys?

- [Eric] You'd probably have a better chance of winning.

[contestants laughing]

- I'll tell you what ticket we got

if you tell us what you got.

- You guys got the same flight as us, I'm sure.

- On the count of three,

we both say what flight we're on.

- Okay.

- [BJ And Eric] One, two, three.

- Air China. - [BJ] Front.

Tricked us again.

[Tyler laughing]

- Frat Boys.

Is it the million dollars tearing us apart?

- Yeah.

- Okay.

Just checking. [dramatic music]

- Hopefully we can get on one of these,

this earliest flight out.

- Yeah.

- We may be outta luck.

- Alrighty.

- [Ray] Now we all here.

It's a brand new race.

We're all equalized.

- We love being ahead

and then just having everybody catch us.

- [Ray] It wouldn't be fun to end here.

- I thought it would've been great.

- I bet on black.

[BJ laughing]

[dramatic music]

- Do you have any flights into Denver?

What's your earliest?

- To Denver, leaves at : tonight.

- [Yolanda] Good job, sweetheart.

- [Ray] We're back in it. We're back in it.

- Thank you.

- Have a good flight. - All right.

- [Host] All teams are now making their way

to their final destination, Denver, Colorado.

[dramatic music]

- Here, let's go.

- We try and get to a- - Taxi.

- Okay, we go up.

Let's go over here, dude.

- [Yolanda] I guess we'll follow?

Okay.

- How you doing?

We've got the address anyways, let's go.

- It's Clear Creek History,

and we need you to drive fast, man.

- How's it going?

Take us to Golden?

All right. - All right.

Thanks, man.

- Hey. - Hi.

You the taxi to Golden, Colorado?

Okay.

[dramatic music]

- Clear Creek History. - Yeah.

- CCHP. - Right there.

- Okay, stop right here, Andy.

We'll be right back.

Let's go, let's go.

Look around.

- [Jeremy] I am. - Might be in there, the shed.

Look for a clue.

- We got it.

It's hidden, dude.

Go back to where you started, Red Rocks Park.

- [Host] Teams must travel by taxi six miles

to where it all began,

[dramatic music] Red Rocks Amphitheater.

It's here that they'll find their next clue.

- Let's go.

- It's right here.

Yeah, I think this is it.

- There's a yellow flag.

- That's the park.

Oh- - There's Frats.

- [Jeremy] You know Red Rocks?

- [Eric] Jeremy, shut up.

- I didn't even see him, sorry.

- Red Rock Amphitheater, as fast as you can.

We just need to b*at that other taxi there.

- We just saw The Hippies coming as we were leaving.

- [Driver] Yeah.

- So we only got like five minutes on 'em,

so we gotta get there, to Red Rocks, fast.

- You think it's down there? - Yeah.

[dramatic music]

- Let's just keep looking.

BJ, got it.

- [BJ] You got it? - Yep.

- Go back to where you started, the Red Rocks Park.

Go!

[Tyler shouting]

[dramatic music]

- [Ray] It's right here, that's the corner, right here.

- [Yolanda] Oh, right there?

- There's Ray and Yolanda.

- The other team, too, Ray.

History Park, right in front of our face.

- Yeah.

- Off to Red Rocks,

where we started a race around the world.

- You know where that is?

- [Driver] Yeah, I know Red Rocks.

- [BJ] The fastest way.

[dramatic music]

- [indistinct] is down here.

It's not gonna be obvious.

Oh, man.

[dramatic music] - We have to go very fast.

- [Driver] Red Rocks Park.

- Red Rocks Park.

- That is it, , next right.

- [Driver] We're almost there.

- Red Rocks Park.

This is the road to the finish line.

- I have no idea where Ray and Yolanda are.

Hopefully they're distant third right now,

and it's just us and The Hippies.

- [BJ] It's a pretty tight race.

- Damn you, Frat Boys.

- [BJ] It's pretty crazy.

- It's really insane.

- [BJ] It's on.

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music]

- This is it.

Look for a clue on the road.

- Look for what? - A clue on the road.

It's on the road, the north parking lot.

- This actually looks like the original starting point.

- Oh, entrance one to the right.

- There it is.

Go stop by that box right there, please.

Here.

Thank you.

[dramatic music]

Road block.

- A roadblock is task that only one person may perform.

In this roadblock,

that person has to run into this field of flags

and find one flag for each of the nine foreign countries

they visited during the race.

Brazil,

Russia,

Germany,

Italy,

Greece,

Oman,

Australia,

Thailand

and Japan.

Then they must place the flags

in the order in which they visited the countries.

Each workstation also has a placard,

displaying flags for reference.

However, that placard contains extra flags

that are incorrect.

In this roadblock,

their teammate may guide them,

but they cannot physically assist.

Once the teams have completed their task,

they must run this flag path to the finish line.

The first team to arrive here will win the $ million prize.

- Who remembers the most amount of places you've been?

- Dude, you know the flags.

- All right, I'll do it.

You may not physically assist.

You can tell me stuff.

This is for the finish, dude.

Come on.

- Start thinking in your head.

Run!

- These are the places that I could have been.

Okay.

- [Jeremy] Just put 'em in order, baby.

- First place we were is Brazil.

- Eric's got the brains of the group,

so I'm letting him go with it.

Good job.

- The first place is Brazil.

The last place we were was Japan.

We flew from Japan.

- [Jeremy] You gotta run, baby.

- This is where we started the race.

How can it not end here?

Besides, I smell Phil lurking in the shadows.

- [BJ] That's right where we need to go, that orange thing.

Thank you very much. - Thanks.

Roadblock.

- Who remembers the most about the places you've been?

- You, BJ.

You got it.

- Once the judge confirms

that you've completed the task correctly,

run to the finish line. - Run to the finish line!

- Let's go.

All right, come on, dude.

- [Jeremy] Poke that flag all the way in

so no one can see it.

- Okay. We left Brazil, we headed to Germany first

then we went to Russia.

And that's Germany.

Black on top.

- [Jeremy] Go, baby.

Run! - I'm looking.

[dramatic music] - All right, go get 'em, man.

- All right, dude.

You can only take one at a time?

- Yeah, one flag at a time.

Go, buddy!

- There you go, keep running.

The Hippies are here, okay?

Come on now.

Hurry up, baby.

- You got it, BJ.

Woo!

- And I know they went to Harvard and Stanford,

so I don't know how this is gonna go.

- [BJ] What's up, Frat Boy?

- What's up? - You gotta pick it up.

- [Tyler] Come on, man, push it.

- Left to right, right?

- Yes, left to right.

You're doing great, man.

You're doing really, really great.

You remember the next one?

- Russia.

Russia's not there.

Germany.

- Push it, man.

This is every second counts.

So far, the Russian flag,

which we believe is not here,

because it's not on the plaque.

You remember the next one?

- [BJ] Yeah, Italy.

- After Russia, we went to Sicily.

- [Jeremy] If you can't remember do the last one.

- Okay, Australia.

- [Tyler] Straight on BJ, straight on.

- Good call, good call.

- [Tyler] Remember the next one?

- Greece.

- You're doing great.

We had some great food in Greece.

All these flags are bringing back memories.

[dramatic music]

- [Ray] This is crazy.

We haven't seen anything yet,

but we might be looking for the wrong thing.

- [Yolanda] Yeah.

This is the only place down here that we didn't go.

In here, in the hen house.

[hens clucking]

[Ray grunting]

- Red Rocks Park.

We gotta keep going.

Never know what's ahead.

- Greece. - [Jeremy] Come on, Eric.

[suspenseful music]

Pick it up, pick it up.

- After Greece, Oman.

- [BJ] Oman.

- You know Oman's?

You got it? - I got it.

- BJ, come on man.

Come on, we got this.

We got this.

- I'm not sure if that's even the flag for Oman.

I think it is.

- BJ, he just grabbed the same one,

so if you run fast, man, you can still do this.

You remember the next one?

- Yeah, Australia.

- Run, BJ, come on.

You got it, buddy. I know you can do this.

I know you can do this. - Greece.

Italy.

- [Jeremy] Just go get, just go get it.

- [Tyler] Dig BJ!

This is everything right here, man.

You remember the next one?

- Thailand.

- BJ, can you dig for me?

We can get this!

We can win this if you run.

- Italy.

Where else did we go?

[suspenseful music] Oh my gosh.

- Come on, man.

You got this!

Move it, move it!

You're doing great.

- Thailand, Thailand, Thailand.

What color is Thailand?

Maybe it's this one?

Red, white, blue.

All right.

- [Tyler] Do you remember the next country?

- Japan.

[indistinct] to Japan.

[dramatic music]

- I think I'm ready. - It's incorrect.

- Incorrect.

What do you want me to change?

- I don't know, think, think.

- US to Brazil.

Brazil, we went to Germany first.

- It looks like there's two more slots,

and we just couldn't find a Russian flag in there,

so Russia's the country were missing.

- Are we done?

- [Tyler] No, there's gotta be one more.

Get the Russian flag.

- What is it?

Is this Russia?

- This one, this one.

White, blue, red.

Go get it. - Let's go backwards.

- US, we left Japan.

Before Japan, we were in Thailand.

- Eric, the red, white, blue one's Oman.

- Okay.

Is everything else in order?

- [Jeremy] Yes.

- What's this one?

- [Jeremy] That one?

That one's gonna be Thailand.

- Okay. - It's incorrect.

- Oh, come on baby.

- Yeah, just change it.

Change that.

Come on, quickly, quickly.

Hurry up, be quick.

- How about now?

- It's incorrect.

- Gosh!

- Why didn't we memorize these?

- Did we go to Italy first?

- Yeah, try it.

Italy. - Before Greece?

- Yeah.

Oh crap, come on.

- How about now?

- It's incorrect.

- BJ, this is a sprint, man.

This is the one right here.

You're doing great. Can you put a flag on the ground?

That might help you.

Come on, you got it buddy. I know you can do this.

I know you can do this. [Tyler clapping]

Come on, man.

- You're gonna have to change that last one

because I don't think that's Thailand.

I think that green, yellow and red one is.

- Okay.

[suspenseful music]

- Green, then yellow and red.

[suspenseful music]

- How about now?

- That's incorrect.

- Incorrect?

- [Jeremy] Change that one back then.

Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick.

Oh my gosh, we're so stupid.

- This is gonna be it. [dramatic music]

All right, okay or negative.

- Yes, that is correct.

- Let's go!

[inspirational music]

Come on, man.

- They're going, Jeremy.

- What? - [Eric] They got it right.

The Hippies got it.

[dramatic music]

- Come on.

Great job. - Thank you.

- Here we go.

[dramatic music] [group applauding]

Come on!

[people applauding]

This is it, BJ!

Come on!

[people applauding]

[dramatic music]

[people cheering]

[dramatic music]

[people cheering]

[dramatic music]

- Five continents,

nine countries,

more than , miles.

BJ and Tyler,

you are the official winners of "The Amazing Race".

Congratulations!

[dramatic music]

- We won!

That's so good to hear!

- You have won.

You guys have won the $ million.

[group cheering]

[inspirational music]

[people cheering]

You guys started out as brainiacs,

but in the end, it did come down to brains.

And you are standing here,

the official winners of "The Amazing Race."

How does it feel?

[people cheering]

- Having it actually happen,

it's just like,

maybe we can do what we wanna do in this life, you know?

It's really unreal.

- You guys came to the mat every single time

with a smile on your face.

How do you describe the race to people

now that you've been through it?

- Life changing,

the best thing you can do

for your relationship with someone.

[Tyler laughing]

It's good couples therapy.

- The world is a beautiful place,

and there's so much to see and experience.

And there's so many people out there,

and every country that BJ and I went to,

we met the people, we looked them in the eyes,

we asked them for help and we tried to give them

some of our adventure energy in return.

I feel like that's why we're here right now,

is because of the people all around the world.

- Guys, are the beards staying?

Are you gonna keep this look

now that you're a little richer

than you were in the beginning?

- Well, I mean, if it's this successful to be hippies,

we might as well stay hippies.

[Phil and group laughing]

[group cheering] [somber music]

- Eric and Jeremy, you're team number two.

[group cheering]

[group applauding]

Without doubt,

one of the most competitive teams we've ever had.

You guys consistently finished at the front

and it all came down to this challenge with the flags.

- You know, those guys are smart. And when we saw the flags,

we thought we knew 'em all for the most part.

We just didn't get 'em in the right order.

- We didn't know the last one would be brains, dammit.

[group laughing]

- Where did this nickname, Frat Boys, come from,

by the way?

Who's re- - We're not Frat Boys.

[group laughing]

We're college dropouts, okay, everybody?

[group laughing]

- Let's talk about your partner.

I mean, what's it been like

going through this race with him?

- It's been great with Jeremy.

I mean, I wouldn't do it with anybody else.

We had a blast, regardless.

We're still friends.

We hoped to win so we could

just not work our crappy jobs anymore,

but looks like I'm gonna be back to waiting tables.

[group laughing]

- Over the course of the race,

we kind of remained ourselves.

We're still happy that we got this far,

and we just wanted to win. - The only way we're different

is we've seen some more of the world

and we appreciate the world a little more.

I realize that the world's actually not that big a place.

You can go anywhere and it just takes the will to do it.

We've traveled the world

and now we can decide where do we want to go next?

- And we'll probably go together.

[group cheering] [soft music]

- Ray and Yolanda, you are team number three.

Congratulations.

- Woo! [group cheering]

- I'm pleased to see you guys at least smiling.

- Oh yeah.

- Yeah, everything's fine.

- Everything's good?

Yolanda, you're not moving out?

- No.

- When are you gonna get married?

- That would just be a loss.

- Not today. [group groaning]

- That was just the pressure of the race, huh?

- I'm glad I was here with Ray,

and I've learned a lot about him.

He's important to me, so.

I love you. - You hear that, Ray?

Oh, there's love here.

Ray, what do you have to say to her?

- Yolanda's the ultimate competitor.

She's strong-headed,

and that's what I've always been in love with.

She has her own mind.

She's the only person I would've done his race with.

- [Group] Aww!

- Ray, all through this race,

has been my source of motivation.

I pulled strength from him on every single leg,

and I feel like he's my support.

Even though he might get mad at me sometimes,

he still wants to hug me when he's done.

[Yolanda laughing] It's a tough love, I guess.

Ray's still everything that I believe him to be

and that I want him to be.

- Well, guys, you are the final three teams to make it

in "The Amazing Race."

Close to , miles around the world.

How about a big round of applause for these guys here?

[group applauding]

- I think that on this race,

being cerebral or being intelligent

doesn't help as much as being in the moment

and just being aware of what's going on around you.

And it's just great to stay positive

and just really enjoy each other's company.

And our friendship is what got us through this.

- BJ and I approached each country

with wide eyes and enthusiasm and joy

and a huge spirit of adventure,

and willing to share that with everybody we met.

There's so much in this world.

We might as well just take advantage of as much as we can

and give back as much as we can.

And that's important, 'cause that's how it all works.
