14x08 - Rooting Around in People's Mouths Could Be Unpleasant

Post by bunniefuu »

- [Phil] Previously on "The Amazing Race".

Six teams raced from Jaipur, India to Phuket, Thailand.

Teams took a walk on the wild side at the Phuket Zoo.

- Oh my gosh. It's sitting on me.

Oh!

- [Phil] While Jaime's temper flared

in the heat of Thailand.

- Just pick, yes.

. Faster!

- Mark and Michael thought they won the leg.

You're the first team to arrive.

But two penalties.

You have incurred two minute penalties.

- My God.

- [Phil] Cost them the victory.

Margie roasted in the hot sun.

- I think Thailand is probably

the hottest place I've ever been.

- [Phil] And collapsed at the mat.

- I think I need some water.

- Bring some water.

- Mom! Mom.

- [Phil] Margie recovered.

- How embarrassing.

- And in the end, Mel and Mike fell short.

Mel and Mike, I'm sorry to tell you,

you have been eliminated from the race.

Very sorry to see you go.

- It's been a great run, man.

- [Phil] Coming up tonight.

- Where's the pack? You got the pack?

- [Phil] Kisha and Jen make a costly mistake.

- Oh my God. We have to go back.

We need it!

Kisha, if anything, our passports and stuff are in there.

[adventurous music]

[dramatic music]

- This is Phuket, Thailand.

Rising out of the Andaman Sea,

this island has been inhabited since BC.

And though it was devastated by the tsunami of ,

it has rebuilt itself into a major commercial center.

And on the edge of town, Wat Thepnimit Temple.

This ornate Buddhist temple was the seventh pit stop

in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The five teams waiting here have no idea

what's in store for them.

Tammy and Victor,

who were the first to arrive at : AM.

Tammy and Victor, you guys are actually

the first team to arrive.

- Oh my God.

- [Phil] Will depart at : PM.

- Fly to Bangkok, Thailand.

- [Phil] Teams must now fly over miles

to the city of Bangkok, Thailand.

When they land, they'll travel by taxi

to the outskirts of town,

find this boatyard and search the grounds

for their next clue.

- [Victor] Okay. Let's go to Phuket.

- Victor and I wanna take it one leg at a time.

I mean, leg three still showed us

you can go from first to last so easily.

This is not right.

You wanna make decisions? Please make one.

Of course we see the ultimate, you know, finish line ahead,

but we just need to stay focused

and keep doing what we've been doing these last few legs.

Taxi? - Taxi. Yes.

- To airport?

Yes.

- Fly to Bangkok, Thailand.

- Sweet. - Let's go. Taxi?

Is this an official taxi?

- I mean, it's a BMW. I doubt it.

- Here, this is like a policeman. Let's ask him.

Hello. Is that a real taxi?

- Don't listen to them.

Stop talking to him.

Listen, listen, stop talking.

The language barrier,

really aggravates me and frustrates me.

Let's go.

And I become a lunatic.

And there's nothing I can do to stop it.

It's like Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde.

You are taxi?

- To the airport.

I think that we've done pretty well with the communications.

- You have $ for the leg of this race.

Taxi?

The mistakes we made in the last leg,

there's a kind of a misunderstanding with our-

- A technicality.

- You have incurred two minute penalties.

Firstly, intentionally putting the pump away

so that the other teams could not see it.

And secondly, for having the taxi lead you guys

when you were doing the rickshaw challenge.

- But I think we can solve that.

And we do have what it takes to be there at the end.

We get the good pace and end up with all the good luck,

it does as well.

- As long as we don't sh**t ourselves in the foot.

- Right.

[energetic music]

- [Victor] It is the airport.

It's very quiet in the middle of the night.

- Okay. Thank you. Bye bye.

- Airport information desk.

Hi, do you speak English?

We're trying to call Thai airways.

Is there anywhere we can borrow the phone.

- Can we use your phone to call this number?

- Thank you so much.

I needed to make a reservation for the first flight

from Phuket to Bangkok.

The first flight out is at :.

Can we make a reservation with you?

Oh, okay. Bye.

No, she says we have to do it at six O'clock

when the airline opens directly.

- Fly to Bangkok, Thailand.

Taxi!

Airport. You can go.

It's so hot already.

It's almost : AM and I'm totally sweating.

With this hot weather,

I'm worrying about my mom because

I don't want her to faint again.

- Water! Water!

- Mom.

- Yes. I'm drinking a lot of water.

- Fly to Bangkok, Thailand.

- Cool. Let's take this cab.

I don't think this race is affecting our relationship

in a negative way.

We've learned to give each other space,

and we know when to let each other cool off.

And we're starting to learn each other's tendencies.

As the race goes on,

most teams are acting a little paranoid,

it's fun to watch.

[urgent music]

- All five teams are on the same flight

and it's really stressful.

Wait and see what happens in Bangkok.

[airplane engines rumbling]

[traditional music]

Taxi? Come with us, fast!

Go, go, go, go.

We have to go to the boatyard.

- Thank you. We gotta go fast.

- Do you know this? Very fast, okay?

Very fast. Thank you.

You b*at those people in front, okay?

- Go talk to, yeah, come on.

Let's go. - Let's go.

- Mike, come on. Let's go.

- [Jen] We have to get there before them.

- Yeah. He's going.

How'd they get in front of us?

You can follow them. Okay.

- We're in front of Margie and Luke,

and now we know that one team's behind us.

[dramatic music]

- Don't know where you're going.

Just say you don't know.

And he's getting out the car to ask for directions.

[taxi driver speaking Thai]

- Don't tell him, don't tell him.

- You know where you going?

Okay.

- Good job.

He's gonna ask them.

They know. Those men know where.

Yes. Thank you. Thank you.

Fast, fast, fast.

We have to b*at other people.

And you know now? Okay.

Our cab drivers were talking and some men

on the side of the road overheard them

and started shouting instructions.

So Kisha and Jen went off, their cab went straight,

and our cab driver pulled over and stopped.

And now we know where we're going.

So hopefully we'll b*at them to the boatyard.

- A couple miles back we were at the same stop light

as Margie and Luke.

I haven't seen them since that light.

So I'm not sure what happened.

He told you wrong directions, didn't he?

Yeah.

Margie and Luke told their cab driver

to tell him the wrong directions,

because they turned and we kept straight.

We've lost a lot of time.

[car horns beeping]

- Watch out doogies.

That's why I call all dogs, I call them doogies.

For no reason in particular, just 'cause I like it.

- I call dogs, dogs.

- There's a team behind us.

- The brothers, Mark and Mike are behind us.

- Okay, they're coming this way too.

- You catch that car? You catch that car?

- [Mike] No, no, no, no.

Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

What are you doing?

- A boatyard. Right there!

Thank you.

Okay, go. Let's go.

- Go, go, go.

- Right here. Right here.

Roadblock. Who's ready to propel their team forward?

- In this roadblock,

one person must tap into their mechanical abilities

and apply them to one of the most common forms

of transportation in Bangkok, the long-tail boat.

Teams must figure out how to join one of these

unwieldy rods to its propeller,

which will only work if secured the right way.

When their propeller's working properly,

they'll receive their next clue.

- You wanna pick it?

Me? Okay. I'll do it.

Okay. Here we go.

Okay, take it.

Fast, fast, fast.

- [Luke] Go, go, go.

- Here we are.

- [Luke] Come on, mom. Let's go.

- Here we go. Here we go.

[funky music]

- [Cara] This is it?

You stay, okay?

- Here it is, Cara.

Be careful. Come on, come on.

Let's open it. Roadblock.

Who's ready to propel their team forward.

- [Cara] I don't know what it is.

- I'll do it. Come on!

Hello?

So choose a boat first?

- Jaime, you can do this.

Just do it slowly.

- I can fix some things around the house.

I'm using some power tools and, you know,

hammers and stuff.

So the roadblock was easy.

Can you come check? Come check?

Okay? Yay!

- Seriously?

- Okay. Let's go.

- Okay. - Yes!

Journey on.

- [Phil] Teams must now navigate their boats

through the Bangkok canals.

[uplifting music]

Using the map in their clue,

they'll have to search through a maze of routes

and locate the Peninsula Pier to find their next clue.

- Okay, let's go.

Let's go!

[boat engine rumbling]

[Jaime groaning]

- Good job, Jaime.

- [Victor] Up here. We're in the middle of nowhere.

- You wait. - Wait!

Thank you. I see the plaque.

- Oh, here it is.

Here it is, right here. Let's go.

- You gotta go, Victor. Come on.

- Go. Come on, come on.

- Who's ready to propel their team forward?

- You.

- It's funny, we're all here at the same time.

- Okay. We have to b*at them.

- You wanna do it? Or you want me to do it?

- I'll do it. - Okay.

- [Cara] Slow and steady. Slow and steady.

Don't push yourself too hard.

Yeah, use your legs.

Victor just got here.

Tighten one more. Really, really hard.

- [Jaime] Can you check mine?

- [Cara] Jaime, you good?

- Please. You guys, move if you're not participating.

Yes? Yes?

All right. Woo!

- [Cara] Baby, that was awesome.

- New info. Journey on.

Navigate the canals...

[talking drowned out by engine]

We need to go get our bags.

Let me ask.

Sir! Need to go get something, real quick.

Okay. Thank you.

We'll do very fast. We'll be very fast.

- [Cara] Don't tell anyone why.

- I know.

- I'm not really a mechanical person.

The good thing at least is I saw how Jaime did it.

So I'm trying to copy.

- [Michael] Let's go Mark.

- This way.

Very fast.

Come on, Cara, please hurry.

[dramatic music]

- [Kisha] Okay. This is it.

- Go. Be careful.

- [Kisha] Oh, we gotta hurry up.

- Who's ready to propel their team forward?

- I'll do it. Was it hard?

- It's tiring. Just need to be patient. Let's go.

- [Tammy] Yours is on, right?

- I think so.

- Good job, Victor.

- [Michael] Mark, jam. Jam. Jam.

- Just be cool. Be patient.

- Okay. Ready?

- Yes. We need our bags.

- We pay you. Here you go. Thank you.

Very careful.

- It's not threading.

- Good job, Victor.

- All right, Mark. You can do it.

- I know I'm close, Mike.

- [Jen] Good job, Kisha.

- Sorry. Go, go.

- [Cara] sh**t.

- Come on Cara.

- [Cara] Woo! Holla!

- Thank you.

- Great job, Jaime.

- We're on this boat in Thailand.

[traditional music]

This is so cool. This is cool.

- Come on.

- Good job, Victor.

- It's a bitch.

Okay. How's that? How's that, right here.

Okay, perfect.

Let's go.

[dramatic music]

Thank you. - Okay.

- Search the marked dock for your next clue.

We still gotta go get back and get our bags.

- Okay. - What are we gonna do?

Now we gotta navigate to the pier.

- Why is this not working?

- [Tammy] We have to hurry.

- Push. Good job. Well, keep going.

- Okay.

Thank you.

- Good job, Kisha!

Search for the marked dock for your next clue.

- Our pack is back there.

All our belongings is at the dock.

Including my shoes.

[tense music]

- Okay, Victor?

You think you have it?

- Yeah. I think it's okay.

He just needs to test it.

Is this okay?

Good? Good? He said good.

He has the clue.

- Okay. Hurry, get back here.

- He said it was good.

- What's wrong with it?

- I cannot believe this.

- [Tammy] Oh my gosh.

- [Victor] Is this okay?

- No. We gotta go back.

- [Victor] sh**t.

- Victor's propeller didn't work.

Try again.

[ominous music]

Victor's propeller didn't work,

so we've gotta fix it again.

Victor. You okay?

- I think I just had to tighten it.

Can you test?

Please have it work.

It's okay? - [Tammy] Okay?

- Let's go test it.

- Please work. Please work.

[engine rumbling]

- Good. Clue? Thank you.

Navigate your boat through the canals

to the Peninsula Pier.

Can you stop there so we can run,

get our stuff and come back?

- Kisha and Jennifer, Mike and Mark

went without their stuff.

We're just gonna make a strategic move and grab our stuff.

- Fast. Fast.

Right there. Okay, great, great, great.

Go, Tammy, come on.

We'll be right back.

- [Tammy] You wait here.

- Run. I think that's the right call.

Make sure we have nothing in the back seat.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.

- I'm fine.

- Okay. That way. Fast.

Go straight.

- We're pretty sure we're going the right way.

So our driver's doing great.

And not seeing anybody behind us makes us happy.

- Damn, whoa!

I'm glad we haven't had to jump into this water, though.

It doesn't look great.

Not like turquoise water in Florida.

[dramatic music]

- I hope we get back to our bags.

Did you ever think about that?

- Where's the pack? We got the pack?

- We actually initially got on the boat

and I said we need to get our things.

She said-

- I was thinking the things in the taxi.

I wasn't aware that she didn't have the fanny pack.

Oh my God. We have to go back.

We need it.

Kisha, if anything, our passports and stuff are in there.

If anything.

I think in the situation,

what I was trying to do was not to cause a confrontation.

I listened to the big sister.

You trust in your heart of hearts.

We need to keep going and we'll be okay. It's fine.

- Probably gotta do something in water.

Then I'm assuming we're going back to the dock.

Hopefully that's the plan.

[traditional music]

[Victor shouting]

- [Victor] That's so cool.

- We see it! We see it!

The flag, over here. Thank you.

Detour. Broken teeth or broken record.

- In this detour, teams have to choose between

two very routine activities that the people of Bangkok

have turned into something very unusual.

The choice, broken teeth or a broken record.

In broken teeth, teams make their way to this area

some people call a street of happy smiles.

Once here they must search through sets of dentures

to find good matches for five of the waiting patients.

When all their patients are smiling,

teams will receive their next clue.

Rooting around in people's mouths could be unpleasant.

But if they can overcome the squeamishness,

they could find themselves finishing quickly.

In broken record,

teams make their way to this parking lot

and choose a party taxi equipped

with an onboard karaoke system.

Then, while riding along a five mile course,

they'll join with a group of locals

and sing repeatedly to a well known Thai pop video

until they reach their destination.

There's nothing inherently unpleasant about the task.

In fact, it could be a lot of fun.

But teams have no control over Bangkok traffic.

And if the streets are crowded,

the party and their taxi

may go on much longer than they want.

- We're doing broken teeth.

I'm a bad singer, but he's a really bad singer.

We thought we'll spare the people of Bangkok.

Okay. You know where this is?

Okay. Let's go.

- I see a marker.

Right here. Right here.

All right.

Detour.

- Broken teeth or broken record.

- That's the girls.

We caught up to 'em.

- Nice. - They got their backpacks.

sh**t.

- Let's do the singing. - Singing? Sure.

- We're gonna sing. Woohoo!

And I have the worst singing voice, but that's okay.

Taxi! Chinatown, very fast.

- We are going to do the broken record.

We need our bags.

We need to get back to our cab.

What happened to our boat?

- He's gone, let's go.

We just need to get back to the boatyard.

- So you know the dentist?

He's gonna ask someone.

The dentist.

Could you take us?

Let's go fast.

Hey, careful of the cars.

- Come on, Jen.

All right, come on, broken record.

- I am extremely worried about our stuff.

So let's take this cab.

- We're going here.

- Chinatown. - Chinatown.

Beneath this parking lot.

Okay.

- Wow. Think about how far we're going

I'm so glad we brought our bags.

Good. Good, good. Perfect.

- Okay. Go, go, go, go.

- Good job. - Okay. Go.

- Okay. You know what?

Let's do Karaoke.

We're Chinese. We have to do karaoke.

- We have to do karaoke.

Mommy, you'll be so proud.

- Taxi? We need to go fast.

- The streets are totally flooded.

And we're driving through it very slowly.

- This is ridiculous.

- Water taxi.

- Excuse me?

How can we get back to Boatyard?

Let's go. Just do this thing and get it over with.

And then we'll find our taxi.

- [Michael] Oh man.

- Come on. Let's go to Chinatown.

- No, not Chinatown.

We gotta go get our cab.

- No we can't go get our cab, Mark.

- We have to get our cab. - Mike. Mike!

We don't have enough money to go get our-

- What about our bags?

We're giving up all of our bags?

We can't give over our backpacks.

We have to get our backpacks.

- We are headed the Chinatown to

find the parking of Wat.

- I'm upset. I'm mad.

I'm worried about the fact that my passport

is sitting on the dock somewhere

and we don't have any money.

- If it's one thing we can do, it's karaoke.

Maybe it'll be like a Thai version of Whitney Houston.

- Oh yeah. That'd be really cool, actually

- Dentist. Yes. Yes.

Thank you! Thank you!

Very fast. Very fast.

Okay, let's go.

Pick five, pick five.

Okay. You?

Okay, top only.

[urgent music]

This is hard!

- Do you know where we're going?

You don't know?

I can't handle you.

Well, we don't have five minutes

because we took minutes

driving through the water filled streets.

- Taxi's over here.

- Can you phone call this number?

- Perfect. So we're gonna have our driver come over here.

He's gonna, from the same company.

- I think we should have him meet us in Chinatown.

We know how close we are,

and it's gonna cost him twice as much to get here.

- We need our bags.

- I know we need our bags, not to do the task.

- [Mike] That's not rational, man.

- You know, forget it. Just forget it.

- [Mike] We gotta wait for the guy.

We gotta wait for our stuff.

- No, you don't wait.

- I did not wanna leave my backpack behind,

because we don't know where we're going

if we're continuing on.

And I have a few things that I brought along

that are mementos that are not replaceable.

- Do we need our bags to do the task?

We're gonna do it anyway.

- And what are you gonna do about the bags?

And then we'll deal with the bags.

[tense music]

- This Wat? - Obviously.

- Hey. Hi.

Oh, we gotta hurry up.

- Hi. We wanna party with you.

You like leopard. Let's take you.

- Bye girls!

- Yes, we're ready. Let's go.

- We need to b*at them. Okay?

- Yeah, we need to go faster than them.

It's a race.

[Thai pop music]

[Jaime and Cara singing]

- This is it. - [Tammy] This is it?

- [Victor] Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

- Hi!

Oh my gosh.

[everybody cheering]

- Oh my gosh!

[Victor and Tammy singing]

- Oh no.

- Here we go. Here we go.

Yay.

Okay, so only bottoms.

I tried one woman. It was hard.

He was trying to put bottom teeth on the top,

and this poor little woman was like.

Yes!

Fast, fast, fast.

- Taxi now is far from here.

- And he'll take us?

How much to go there?

? Let's go.

Let's go. Let's go.

Get in. Get in. Get in.

- This gentleman's taking us back

to the other cab where our bags are.

- And then we're gonna have to make our way to Chinatown

and get back on track here.

And I know he's worried about his bags,

but it's not about bags.

I'd rather give up those bags and finish this leg.

You said you'd rather be eliminated

and take your clothes home.

You'd rather be comfortable, and no go for the win.

Now that's the problem.

You don't want the million dollars. You just wanna play.

[dramatic music]

- You think we're gonna be able to do

the whole race in these clothes?

- Why not?

You'd rather be comfortable and not go for the million,

and that's the problem.

You don't want the million dollars. You just wanna play.

- I got important stuff in that bag

that's not replaceable.

- All right.

You shouldn't.

'Cause this is a chance that you could take.

- Now we have to go back and pick up our bags

before getting to the detour.

We're messed up.

[playful music]

- Yes.

So you had to look to see if they were missing

top or bottom, or if it was partial or full or what.

Yes!

Having a nursing background,

it made it a little bit easier

because I wasn't afraid to like

be in someone's personal space.

- Go, go, go.

- Yes?

Woo!

Yay! Yay!

Thank you. Thank you.

Make your way to your next pit stop.

- Teams must now race through the city to this place,

Phya Thai Palace.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Okay. Let's go.

Taxi. Taxi!

Can you take us?

Yes. - Go, go.

- I think I fit them all.

[Kisha and Jen singing]

- My first question was are those transvestites?

My next question was, why do they wear so much makeup?

Third question was,

why are we in a party taxi with three transvestites?

Hey, I had a good time with it.

[Jaime and Cara singing]

- Our motto the whole time with detours

has been to choose the one that sounds more fun.

And I mean, who doesn't love to sing karaoke?

Karaoke's fun.

- Hello everybody.

- Our travel companions in our party taxi

were a lot of fun.

They were very encouraging and very into our singing.

- It set the bar very high,

so we put a lot of energy into it.

[Tammy and Victor singing]

- This is the palace?

- [Luke] Stop. Stop.

[adventurous music]

- There he is. Okay.

Okay. We're not gonna faint today.

[parrot talking]

- Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand.

- Thank you.

- Margie and Luke, you are team number one.

[Margie and Luke screaming]

- Congratulations. Congratulations.

As the winners of this leg of the race,

you have won a sensational trip for two from Travelocity

to the Intercontinental Spa and Resort

in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

- Puerto Rico! Woo!

- You'll enjoy a snorkeling trip by catamaran,

a canopy zip line tour through the rainforest,

and experience the magnificence

of the beautiful bioluminescent bay.

Look so much better than you were yesterday.

You were just completely and utterly-

- White. I was.

It was just overwhelming yesterday.

It was so hot and we ran so far.

And today we did what we had to do fast,

and we just focused on our race.

[girls cheering]

- Thank you.

Make your way to your next pit stop.

Taxi? Taxi?

I don't see it.

I don't think our taxi is here.

- [Jen] That's fine with me. I ain't gotta pay.

- I say we go to the pit stop.

- Taxi? Can you take us here?

- But we don't have money.

- No. Okay. Goodbye.

- Yes! We did it!

[girls cheering]

- Thank you!

Make your way to the pit stop.

Here's a taxi right here.

Do you know the Thai Palace?

- Phya Thai Palace?

- He doesn't know.

- No. he doesn't.

[Victor and Tammy cheering]

- And I just saw Kisha and Jennifer

running barefoot down the street.

- Thank you so much.

Make your way to the next pit stop.

Phya Thai Palace. Let's go down here.

- Taxi!

Come on, Victor. Taxi!

- Good job, Tammy.

- Oh, there's Victor and Tammy. Taxi!

- We are in a big hurry.

- We need to b*at them.

- Hey, hey, Cara.

Follow them. Victor and Tammy, come on.

- Let's b*at them. We can go.

- Yay! - We can go.

- Go, go, go, go!

- That taxi.

- Looks like we left the detour

about the same time as Jaime and Cara.

Which is shocking to me,

'cause they left the roadblock so much earlier than we did.

- Just keep your eye on that taxi.

- Do you know where this is?

Yes? Can you please take us for free?

We have no money.

- No, we left it somewhere else.

- Can you please help us?

Yes. Thank you.

We are headed to the pit stop.

This taxi driver said he'll take us for free,

so that's a blessing.

And then I guess we'll figure out

how to get the rest of our stuff.

And I'm not too worried about my clothes that are there,

I'm just worried about my passport.

- Hopefully we didn't get totally blown outta the water

and outta the game.

- This gentleman's taking us back to the other cab

where our bags are.

Little de ja vu.

There's two of 'em here.

Yeah. Oh, there's two.

- Oh, yeah, yeah.

- Oh there we go.

- Hi friends. Now how much we owe you.

There you go.

Okay. Let's go Chinatown.

Wow.

Somebody else is doing the same thing.

Okay, so we are now getting back to the detour.

- Go to Rong Payaban Pra Mongkut.

- [Tammy] We can ask this guy,

Stop, stop, stop.

- [Victor] Ask the cab, ask him.

- Can you ask him? Hurry, hurry.

- Do you know Rong Payaban Pra Mongkut?

Yeah, go there. Go.

No, no. Don't tell them. Don't tell them. Go. Now.

Hopefully he knows we're not friends during the race.

- [Tammy] You know where it is? Okay.

- We have to b*at them.

It's okay.

- [Jen] There's Tammy and Victor.

- Can you catch up to them please?

So if he follows them,

then we'll just run it out to the end.

- You go back and think of the mistakes you made

and you do get a little bit discouraged.

But I mean, it's done, the past is the past.

You can't fix it. All you can do is go on.

- [Mike] Having our cab back

has definitely given us new hope.

- We got our stuff to bargain with

if we don't have enough money.

We'll see what happens.

- Is this the palace?

Thank you.

Hey, number five. Number five.

Come on, Jaime, this is it.

Come on.

[dramatic music]

- Jaime and Cara.

- Yes, Phil?

- You are team number two.

[Jaime and Cara screaming]

- How far? Close?

Is this the right place?

- [Tammy] This is wrong. No.

No. Stop.

- Yeah, go ask.

- Can you come with me?

Is that someone behind us?

Yes. Okay. Go, go, go.

- Let's go.

- Let's go.

- Come on, Victor!

- We have to b*at them.

Good job, Tammy.

- Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Kisha and Jen, you're the third team to arrive.

Tammy and Victor, you're the fourth team to arrive.

However, Kisha and Jen,

you have left your travel documents back at the roadblock.

Is that right?

You're not gonna be able to leave Thailand

to go to another destination

if you do not have your travel documents.

So I cannot check you in at this point.

You need to go back and get your travel documents

before I can check you in.

Kisha and Jen, you're the third team to arrive.

Tammy and Victor, you're the fourth team to arrive.

However, Kisha and Jen,

you have left your travel documents back at the roadblock.

So I cannot check you in at this point.

You need to go back and get your travel documents

before I can check you in.

- You can do it, just go get it.

- Just go. Run like hell.

Go! You've got people behind you. Go!

- So, Tammy and Victor,

that means you guys are now officially team number three

checking into the mat.

Congratulations.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Do you know where this is?

Okay. We gotta go fast please.

- Our mistake was an assumption that

if we take a boat somewhere, we have to bring it back.

It's kind of out of both of our hands now, you know.

We made the decision, but we both have a lot of regrets.

- This is so frustrating.

[dramatic music]

- Hey. Hey.

- Okay. We have little problem.

We have little money,

and maybe I give you some things from my bag,

give to you because we only have .

I give you, look, flashlight. Very nice.

And this compass.

For you. Yeah.

- The karaoke looked like just a fun thing to do.

Party time!

It's our world. - That's easy.

That's like waking up and putting my clothes on

in the mornings.

It's second nature.

Okay. We sing.

[Michael and Mark singing]

- Oh yeah, he's here. All right.

- Come on, run with me.

Come on, come on, come on, come on.

[Thai pop music]

- All I really knew is that we had to please

these crazy local girls.

pretty local girls, I should say.

- And we are both part of the entertainment business.

So we know how to show 'em that we can have a good time.

- [Jen] Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!

- I got it. Let's go.

Thank you. We appreciate you waiting.

We're going back to Thai Palace. You know where it is?

- Thai Palace?

- Okay. I take.

- Okay. You take us.

We gotta go very quickly please.

- We got our pack with our passports and everything in it.

So we're heading back to the pit stop.

And we didn't see any other taxi cabs there.

So I'm sure Mark and Mickey have checked in.

So we'll see what happens when we get there.

[Thai girls screaming]

- Thank you.

- That was crazy.

Thank you so much. - Thank you.

- Make your way to the next pit stop.

Warning, the last team to check in may be eliminated here.

How much to Phuyet Thai Palace? ? ?

I give you gifts. I only have .

And I give you gifts.

- I give you sunglasses?

- I got stuff in here.

- Okay. Okay. Okay.

- He's gonna work with us.

- Several things happened today.

And some things just didn't work out.

So we're headed to the pit stop now.

We'll learn our fate and deal with things then.

We're not ones to get really worked up,

'cause it is not gonna change what's gonna happen.

- We had a ball on that karaoke.

Those girls are pretty high energy.

And in the worst times you gotta,

you gotta know how to have a good time.

So we rocked it.

Hopefully somebody stumbled worse than we did.

[dramatic music]

- Well I never thought that I would have a day like this.

at all.

It's unbelievable.

- Never know what's ahead.

- This is it? - [Driver] Yeah.

- Okay. I have little money, but I have lots of gifts.

I'll give you this. - Yeah?

- Very expensive. Very lots of money.

Okay. Thank you, sir.

- Thank you.

Go, go, go, go.

- Come on. Come on.

- Welcome to Thailand.

- Thank you.

- Mark and Michael, you're the fourth team to arrive.

However, I understand that you broke a race rule

by using your personal possessions to settle a bill.

Is that correct?

- Oh, yes we did.

- Yes we did.

- And for that you've incurred a two hour penalty.

You have done that twice.

- I give you, look, flashlight.

And this compass. Very expensive.

I give you this. Very expensive.

Very. Lots of money.

- Which means the total penalties add up to four hours

and your penalty starts right now.

You'll need to wait off the mat before I can check you in.

- Oh man.

If we survive this it'll be amazing.

- I doubt it.

- Bye.

[uplifting music]

- Kisha and Jen.

- You're the last team to arrive.

- You're actually the fourth team to arrive.

- Oh my gosh. - Oh my God.

- Rough day.

Don't cry.

- You thought you were out, didn't you Kisha?

- Yeah.

We didn't want like one rough day to, you know,

like totally ruin our chances.

And it was a tough day.

- Our faith, you know, we leave it up to God.

And it's like, okay, we're meant to be here.

Some people get lucky. Some don't.

We just take it one day at a time.

- Okay guys, I can check you in now.

Mark and Michael, you are the last team to arrive.

The good news is this is a non elimination leg

and you are still in the race.

But there is a lot of bad news.

First of all, the remainder of your four hour penalty

will be added to your release time starting the next leg.

And there's even more bad news

because you know that because this is a non elimination leg,

there is a speed bump.

And a speed bump is a task that

only your team has to complete.

You must complete it before you continue on the race course.

- Of course.

- A long way back guys.

- We were kind of stuck.

You know, we put ourselves in a situation-

- It's the only way we were gonna get back.

- And the only way we were gonna get back

was to take care of the people.

But in the land of Buddha, I don't wanna create bad karma.

The last couple legs,

we've just made some really poor decisions.

So what we have to do is really just kind of

stay levelheaded and not panic.

We have two major obstacles in this next leg.

We have the speed bump and we have the time factor.

But you know what? We're not the type of guys that give up.

- As long as my name and his name is on a pit start,

we're in the game, we're gonna play.

Play it to the best of our ability.

[despondent music]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on "The Amazing Race".

Jen battles Luke.

- Ooh. Bitch. Wow.

- [Phil] And Luke battles Jen.

- Cut it out!

- [Phil] Leading to a confrontation

you won't wanna miss.

- She called him a bitch. She yelled at him.

- I ain't gonna lie. I did.

- I called him a bitch because it was a bitch move.
