You know, we work with trained investigators...

They're gonna notice you wearing yesterday's clothes.

Ha, ha.

(LAUGHS)

Oh!

PATTON: Woman up the block saw a van race away, but she got the name off the side of the van.

GREGORIO: Hope Now Foundation.

You know her?
PRIDE: That's Sasha Broussard.

GREGORIO: She tried to have you k*lled.

PRIDE: Couple of times.

Firebombing my bar was a big mistake.

What are you talking about?

- Get down!

- Oh!

(RAPID g*nf*re)

Got some questions for you, Watkins, about a sh**ting across town.

These are the chemical signatures of the firebombs that destroyed Sasha's properties.

They have a suspect, but not enough to make an arrest.

PRIDE: This looks like the guy who tried to sh**t me and Sasha.

GREGORIO: We know who stole the van from Hope Now.

- HANNAH: NCIS!

- Connor!

PATTON: I've been digging into Connor's mom, Molly. She went to visit Sasha every month.

She brought Connor with her every time?

Yeah.

PRIDE: Sasha tried to tell me.

- She tried to tell you what?

Oh.

Hey, guys.

Sebastian just got back from the lab.

He's got our b*mb maker.

Okay.

- Saved by New York.

- (LAUGHS)

What'd you find, Sebastian?

Traces of a PETN detonator inside a homemade ceramic casing.

It's a trademark used by one Roger MacManus.

HANNAH: MacManus.

He was connected to at least a dozen right-wing militia groups.

Suspected in multiple domestic bombings spanning years.

But the key word here is "was." Roger MacManus d*ed five years ago.

So, what...

You're saying the b*mb that blew up Watkins' bar was five years old?

Uh, no.

So, I reconstructed the device, and it revealed that some of parts were only manufactured, like, a few months ago.

MacManus had an apprentice, someone he trained.

Yeah, except his, uh, list of, uh, known associates is a who's who of t*rrorists.

It's gonna take forever to cull through this list.

Except maybe...

we don't have to.

Maybe it was a family business.

- MacManus had a daughter, Ashley.

- CARTER: She was sentenced to two years for vehicular manslaughter.

Guess where she served time.

GREGORIO: Gretna State Prison.

Same as Sasha Broussard.

Their sentences overlapped about six months.

SEBASTIAN: Well, looks like Ashley's local.

She's in the Bywater.

Come on, T.

Let's go get her.

I'll let Pride know.

PRIDE: The federal judge

- approved our no-knock warrant.

- SEBASTIAN: All right.
We just got to be careful.

She could have the place rigged for booby traps.

Front room's clear.

Hinges, frame and the knob look good, too.

PRIDE: Got the manager's key.

Kitchen's clear.

Her car keys are here.

Where is she?

Pride?

Add another body to Sasha's pile.

You think she's closing the loop?

Take out the sole person who can connect her to the bombing?

It's the Broussard way.

No loyalty.

Whoever did this, MacManus put up a hell of a fight before her throat was slit.

I got footprints over here.

Yeah, multiple sets.

Sasha had an accomplice.

Well, even if Sasha ordered the hit, can't be sure she was here.

Well, maybe we can.

These are high heels.

GREGORIO: Okay, so, we know a woman was here.

Doesn't mean it was Sasha.

No, it was her.

Work the scene.

- Send me the proof.

- Where are you going?

Straight to the source.

These are too cautious.

We need to think bigger with these designs.

I need to talk to you now.

Uh, let me call you back.

You found Connor?

- No.

- Well, then what's the problem?

Seven dead bodies and counting.

Elias Watkins' bar exploded yesterday, and the b*mb maker, Ashley MacManus,

- was m*rder*d.

- What does any of that

- have to do with me?

- Stop!

No lies.

You were in prison with MacManus.

You hired her to take out Watkins, and then you had her throat slit.

Not gonna respond?

Oh.

Sorry.

I was just wondering if there were any more random murders

- that you'd like to pin on me.

- Nothing random here, Sasha.

Watkins planted bombs on your properties.

Tried to have you k*lled.

So you retaliated.

You arresting me?

Not yet.

Then we're done.

I got a meeting.

I know in my bones that you are responsible for at least some of this v*olence.

But there's still a target on your back.

Means that Connor has one, too.

I need to find him and keep him safe.

Uh...

He reached out.

- When?

- Last night.

He wouldn't say where he was, just that he was safe.

- What did you tell him?

- That I would try to fix all of this... you and me...

But then he hung up on me.

Give me your phone.

Oh!

No.

Give me your phone so that my team can track his new burner.

Okay?

We can get him off the streets.

- I'm not giving you my phone, Dwayne.

- Okay, then just give me the number.

(SIGHS)

Give me the damn number, Sasha.

Hey.

Sebastian's headed to the lab to analyze everything we pulled from MacManus' apartment.

Let's hope the K*llers left something behind that we can ID them with.

If they k*lled her thinking she built that b*mb, they were right.

HANNAH: Yeah, we found some security footage of MacManus following the liquor truck that services Watkins' bar.

Our guess is she slipped the device inside the shipment when the driver stepped away for another delivery.

Well, if MacManus did this for Sasha Broussard, what's Sasha's play?

Why all the v*olence?

Because Pride was right.

Sasha has no intention of going legit.

What'd you guys find?

Real estate.

GREGORIO: Must be a dozen different deals, all purchased by Sasha's Hope Now Foundation.

Just pieces of land scattered around the same random area outside of the city.

Two of these properties, Elias Watkins and Dalton Bonet firebombed.

What's so special about them?

Well, there's nothing special about them yet.

But they will be soon.

All of these properties are in southern Jefferson Parish right next to an area deeded to United Houma Nation.

Now, the Houma have been losing their native lands along the bayou due to rising seawater.

Government's attempting to make good with this stretch of land further inland.

Sure the Houma have plans for it.

HANNAH: They're breaking ground within a year on a hotel and casino complex.

Once a Broussard, always a Broussard, I guess.

Figured Sasha got tipped off inside prison.

Formed a charity to scoop up properties adjacent to that new casino.

Yeah, properties they'll convert to profit-driven businesses so tourists will flock there.

- Mm, smart but not illegal.

- GREGORIO: Well, not on the face of it.

But she can open cash-only businesses and use them to launder money.

Sasha's got connections to organized crime.

Lot of felonious potential.

CARTER: Which Elias Watkins would want to get in on.

I'm betting he jumped onto Sasha's play, used Dalton Bonet to b*mb her out.

Except Sasha got the last laugh with the bigger b*mb.

Only loose end was the b*mb maker.

- Nice and tidy.

- Maybe.

Elias Watkins may be out of the way, but that still leaves room for someone else to step up against Sasha.

Could be a g*ng w*r.

Yeah.

Need to tell Pride.

Uh, I think he's got his hands full right now.

WOMAN (OVER P.A.): For your safety and the safety of others, face masks must be worn at all times.

SEBASTIAN: Yeah, they're sitting on Sasha's house now.

- No activity.

- Can't say the same for the Marcus Bianchi search.

- Yeah, you find him?

- Coast guard did.

Pulled his body out of the river early this morning.

(SIGHS)

Another victim for Sasha's list?

That's what Pride'll say, but I'm not convinced.

Bianchi's a low-level thug with zero connection to Sasha.

But he did work regularly for Elias Watkins.

You know, Bianchi could have been involved in trying to force Sasha out of that casino deal.

And in getting retribution for Watkins' bar being blown up.

Well, if Bianchi m*rder*d the b*mb maker, then Sasha could've moved on him

- before he had a chance to get to her.

- Sure.

But let's just take the emotion out of that argument.

Consider for a second that Sasha's telling the truth.

That's unlikely.

Or part of it.

My instinct tells me Sasha blew up the bar.

But I think that Bianchi was given the task to take out the b*mb maker by someone else.

Okay, counterpoint: it's still Sasha.

And we have the prints from the high heels at Ashley MacManus' crime scene.

Sebastian, Sasha Broussard's not the only woman capable of m*rder in New Orleans.

SASHA: Beverly.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss.

I want to know the truth about Connor.

Who's his father?

You are, Dwayne.

Beverly is not gonna be able to help herself.

She's gonna have to know if Connor is her blood.

HANNAH: He's practicing.

It's not a concert.

No, he's testing our resolve, that's what he's doing.

He's trying to strum us to death.

Well, you know, we could talk instead.

Yeah, we could.

I mean, if you want to.

I was...

I just suggested it.

Well, it just seemed back at NCIS you didn't really want to.

Oh, no, I love having awkward conversations the morning after.

Two, to be precise.

Okay, we're adults.

Let's just lay it out there.

All right, I think we should

- talk to Pride about us.

- I think we should cool it.

- What?

You think we should talk to Pride?

- Well, yeah.

Just to cover our bases and make sure

- we're within the lines.

- Yeah.

Sure.

Or we could just not say anything at all until we figure out what this is.

Well, according to you it's nothing.

I didn't say that.

"Cool it off" is what you said.

I swear, I'm going out there

- and I'm smashing this kid's guitar.

- Carter.

No seriously, why are we here babysitting this mad bomber when he should be in Orleans Jail?

Yeah, because Pride asked us to, and he has his reasons.

- (PHONE CHIMES)

- Well, I just wish I knew what those reasons were.

Well, we're about to find out.

Pride wants us to take Connor in.

- Oh, ow!

Sorry, I'm a little sore there.

- Mm.

- Pretty bruised up, huh?

- Yeah.

I had a disagreement with Beverly Watkins and her family.

HANNAH: Hmm.

Going back for round two?

It's the only way.

We need to get Beverly to incriminate herself.

You think she was involved in Elias Watkins' drive-by attempt on Sasha's life?

Probably.

And also involved in the m*rder of Ashley MacManus.

Those high heel prints could belong to her.

Look, I understand sending Sasha, but Connor?

- I can do this.

- Sure you can.

But is it necessary?

Look, none of this is perfect.

All right?

Sasha told Beverly that Connor...

is her grandson.

Wait, am I?

No, baby.

I-I really don't understand.

- What are we missing here?

- Beverly wants proof.

She's agreed to meet Sasha at a private lab to test Connor's DNA.

It's our best chance of catching her and ending the v*olence.

She's all set.

Connor, too.

Look, you don't have to do anything here.

You're just gonna be with your mom.

Beverly most likely won't show up alone, but you will be surrounded by agents, all right?

Anything smells fishy, we'll be all over it.

I'll be fine.

Got a visual on Beverly Watkins' car heading into the parking lot.

Hey.

You're good, babe.

You're just gonna follow my lead.

Keep it easy, Sasha.

No improvising.

Just get her talking and get her inside.

Certainly could be Elias'.

Got the bone structure.

SASHA: No doubt about it.

Let's go inside and clear it up.

Oh, no, we're not going in there.

Oh, Beverly,

- we had a deal.

- Something's happening, Pride.

- BEVERLY: You think I'd trust...

- Yeah, they're not taking the bait.

A word that comes out of a Broussard mouth?

- There's no deal.

- I'm telling you he is your gr...

your grandson.

Doesn't matter.

Take her to the car.

No!

No, no, no, wait!

Let her go!

Ow!

Ooh, look at you...

(CHUCKLES)

acting like a Broussard.

- I'm not buying it.

- SASHA: Connor, honey, please put it down.

Let her go.

You ever sh*t anyone?

- You ever even pull a trigger?

- Stop talking!

From this distance, you're probably gonna hit that wall behind me and then get confused and try again and... it'll be too late.

No one is k*lling anyone.

Mm, she is lying again, Connor.

'Cause we are absolutely k*lling her, and I'm gonna be honest here: you, too.

- Connor, easy.

- (SIREN CHIRPS)

Everybody's gonna calm down now.

I can't let her hurt my mother.

PRIDE: It's done.

Beverly's going to prison.

(CHORTLES)

We'll see.

Shut up.

You wanted to protect your mother.

I get it.

But this isn't you, Connor.

This isn't you.

Let me have the g*n.

Get your hands on your head.

Beverly's been processed.

- She's heading to Orleans Jail.

- How long?

We got her threatening to k*ll you and Connor, which was enough for us to get a warrant for her house.

We also found the pair of high heels with blood on them.

So she k*lled Ashley MacManus.

That's what it looks like.

What do you want?

An apology would be nice.

WADE: I'm not sure we need all the cloak and dagger, Dwayne.

Well, considering what we're doing...

Where'd you get it?

He used it at my place this morning.

Okay, I'll run the test, you brew the tea.

Hey.

What time is it?

Oh, I don't know.

Uh, it's late.

How long you been in here?

A while.

Connor is indeed my son.

Ah.

What are you gonna do?

What can I do?

I'm his father.

I'm gonna be...

the father.

Course you are.

And he's gonna need it.

Especially after I put Sasha back in prison for the rest of her life.
