"Colony" revolves around a family who must make difficult decisions as they balance staying together with trying to survive. They live in near future L.A., which has been occupied by a force of outside intruders. While some people have chosen to collaborate with the authorities and benefit from the new order, others have rebelled and suffer the consequences.

Our glorious Hosts round up every human

they can find and take
them to the factory.

We have to go.

Another w*r's starting,
and it's not safe here.

Can we bring our families

happen to the Colonies?

I expect that we will
lose a few of them.

skimming off the top.

So that's what our Hosts told me.

Either outliers
show up at the island

by the end of the day...

or they'll turn their backs on us.

When I walked into your
kitchen in Los Angeles,

I didn't pick you to work for me

because you were a good detective.

I picked you because
you were a good man.

You took advantage of me,

and you're trying to do it again.

You're right to be skeptical.

After all, I am a known liar.

But put yourself in my shoes.

Do you really think I'd be

I don't have the time or the resources

to round up those outliers
by the end of the day.
